Lovisa, dressed in a new and clean pale pink dress, with a skirt that was puffy, but still kept her frame visible, it had no sleeves, and so she had paired it with a pair of matching gloves. She wore her hair in a half up, half down, braided bun, style, with two small braids flowing down it, leaving the rest of her curls to air dry, a tiara sat on top of her hair, for the first time in a week.
"I'll make sure to speak to Obi-Wan, soon enough, Snips" Lovisa told Ahsoka, as she stared into her mirror, running her hands down her dress.
"Lovey, there is no need to, I will stay here, as your handmaiden, and then we do not have to be separated from one another."
"Nonsense, you are to be a Jedi, you have the gift, there is no use of it here, or at least, untrained." She took her friends hands in hers. "Ahsoka, you have so much potential, and I believe in you, I will miss you terribly, but knowing what I know about you, and holding you back from it, I would hate myself, and I care more about you and what you can offer the universe, than what you can offer my image."
"Lovey." Ahsoka groaned, wrapping her arms around the Princess's neck, hugging her tightly, and Lovisa followed suit, hugging the girl back, tightly.
Eventually, Lovisa and Ahsoka had made it down to the lunch room, with Threepio walking alongside them both, where everyone had been waiting for her, including Obi-Wan, and Anakin.
"Lovisa, are you done throwing your tantrum?" Her mother asked, linking her fingers together, and resting her chin on them. “There are also to be no dogs, in the dining room.”
"Jobal, my love." Ruwee sighed.
Lovisa didn't reply, as she headed towards her seat, choosing the one next to Anakin.
He got up quickly, to pull it out for her, just as Colo had stepped forward.
But Anakin had been quicker, with a little help from the force, due to only having one arm, but he made sure to look smugly, at the Palace guard, as he pushed her chair back in.
"Thank you, Ani." Lovisa smiled kindly, at the boy, as he sat back down, Threepio had decided to lay down, underneath his owners chair, taking a nap, during their meal.
"Well, it is divine, to have our family united, again, and with two special guests, who helped save my daughter." Ruwee raised his glass, at the two Jedi, and Lovisa's brows had deepened.
"Thank you, your highness, but I fear I could not take any credit, on that, as it was the Princess, who fought bravely, in the arena, and took a stand, during the battle, for she had bested us all, with her skill, and even helped Miss Tano, from danger."
"Ahsoka, is this true?" Jobal faced the handmaiden, that was stationed to the wall, with the two others, waiting to be needed.
"It is, your majesty, if it weren't for Lovisa, I fear I would have been turned into beast chow." Ahsoka bowed her head, taking a step back, after addressing the queen.
"That is wonderful news, Lovey!" Ruwee applauded.
"That was very brave of you, my darling, and I am proud of you, I hope you know that." Jobal told her, earnestly.
Lovisa ignored both her parents, choosing to look away, her arms folded over her chest.
"Master Kenobi, I was hoping to speak to you about a matter of importance, when you have a moment." Lovisa turned to the man.
"Uhm... of course, your highness, perhaps after lunch?" He offered.
"Yes, that will work."
"What's this about, Lovey?" Ruwee asked.
"Hm? Oh, nothing, don't you worry about it, maybe I'll let it slip in the future, but for now, I'd rather keep it from you." She took a sip from her glass.
"Lovisa, you are acting ridiculously childish, there was no ill intention, when we kept Padme and Senator Clovis's blossoming relationship, from you. You're dramatic, you get it from your father, but, being queen won't be awful, I do it, and you don't see me complaining, you will do a wonderful job."
"Except for the small fact, that my parents and sister lied to me! I am not dramatic, and I don't want to be queen!"
"Honey, we're not going anywhere, you won't be queen for a long time, and by then, you may be married, and have your own family, you'll grow mature, and things will change."
"Eurgh, poke my eye out with a fork." Lovisa rolled her eyes, taking another sip from her glass. "Padme, where is your drab of a fiancé?"
"If you must know, he's gone back home, to tell his own family the good news." Padme tried to keep her positive attitude, in front of the guests, instead of snapping at her younger sister, like she wished to.
"What, that they're finally becoming relevant." Lovisa scoffed.
"That's enough." Jobal told her.
"Finally, the food." Ruwee clapped his hands together, as the kitchen staff walked around the table, loading up their plates.
Anakin held his knife in his hand, attempting to cut up his food, with just the one utensil, but had ran into some trouble, though he tried to do it without anyone seeing or noticing.
But of course, Lovisa did.
"Here, let me." She said, in a soft voice, compared to how she had been speaking to her family, since she'd seen them.
"Thank you, Princess." He smiled, as she began to cut up his food.
She smiled back at him, and just the sight of him, seemed to calm down her terrible mood, as she refused to break contact with his eyes, the eyes she could get lost in, for all eternity.
When she had stabbed a piece of steak, he tilted his head, as she fed him, never once looking away from each other.
"The boy can feed himself." Ruwee told his daughter, breaking their silence.
Lovisa dropped her fork, and they both looked away from each other.
The door opened and one of the messengers stormed in.
"I'm sorry to interrupt your lunch, your majesty's." He bowed. "But I was told to bring this to you, as soon as it came."
"Oh, good, bring them here." Jobal, gestured for him to come over, with a hand full of envelopes.
"Whats that, Mother?" Padme asked.
"Just some RSVP's that have been returned, seems it'll be quite the turnout." Jobal said, giddily.
"You're throwing a ball, Jo..." Ruwee asked. "This isn't exactly a time to be throwing a ball, we're in the beginning of a war."
"It's not for a ball, that'll be in a few months, when we announce Lovey as the next heir-"
"Hold on, what?" Lovisa looked back up.
"I'll talk about it, later, when a certain someone, isn't around" She nodded at the obvious.
"I'll figure it out, soon enough." Lovisa raised a brow, poking her food.
After the terrible lunch had finally come to an end, Lovisa had asked Obi-Wan to accompany her on a walk, around the palace gardens.
"What was it that you wanted to discuss, Princess?" Obi-Wan asked, his hands clasped behind his back.
"Well, Master Kenobi, during my "travels" I made a discovery, and I would like to remind you, that one day, I will be your queen, so please keep that in mind, for what I'm about to ask you."
"Will do" He chuckled.
"Uhm... So, I know, typically the Jedi do not recruit anyone over the age of four, in most cases, obviously, Anakin Skywalker was a very different situation. But I have reason to believe that my handmaiden, Ahsoka Tano is strong with the force, and Ani-Anakin supported my claims."
"Hmm, that is curious." He stroked his beard.
"Yes. And I strongly encourage that you take her on, to join the Jedi, or at the very least, train her in the ways, she has all the potential, and I would hate to see it go to waste."
"You care a lot about, Lady Tano, Don't you?"
"I do, Master Kenobi, she's the longest friend I’ve had, and I feel the guilt of her being my handmaiden, a lot, so please."
"I will do what I can, to persuade the council, I promise, your highness" Obi-Wan nodded to her. "Even though you disagree, so openly, I know in time, you will make a wonderful Queen, and leader, I sense it, in the force."
"Just like Anakin is supposed to bring balance to the force." Lovisa joked, side eying him.
"That's what the prophecy says." He sighed, sounding as though he didn't believe it, all too much.

Cpatain Rex, as well as three of his troops, had been the ones, to escort, Lovisa, Anakin and Ahsoka back to the palace, he also returned each of their items, to the teenagers.
"Had one of my troopers locate it all, after Lady Tano expressed how important it was, that they were all returned" Rex gulped, side eyeing the small girl, who smiled gratefully, at him, as she held her twin swords, in her hands.
"Thank God, if I told Obi-Wan that I'd lost another one, he'd kill me" Anakin let go a breath of relief, as he held his own sword, in its sheath.
When they had got out of the carriage, after the long journey, from Coruscant, back to the palace, one person in particular had hurtled themselves forward, in excitement.
"My girls!" Colo grinned, as he brought Lovisa and Ahsoka into a tight hug, lifting them both up, effortlessly.
"Colo!" They cheered.
“Who are these fellows?” He asked, looking down at the puppies as he took turns petting their heads, who were sat by each girls feet, wearing their leashes.
“Seven, and Threepio.” Ahsoka grinned “They’re ours!”
"Princess, my, my, this is a look" He teased, taking a step back, and holding Lovisa's hand, as he examined her outfit, after realising what she was wearing, after taking his focus off of the pups. "But as always, you make it work" He then kissed the back of her hand.
“Stop it, you scoundrel.” Lovisa rolled her eyes, with a smile.
Anakin was working overtime, to keep himself rooted in place, but he would be a liar, if he said he didn't want to smack the shit out of the man. Though, he might break a tooth, by how hard he was clenching his jaw, and he didn’t imagine he looked the least intimidating, with his own adorable puppy, in his hands.
"Your parents are in the throne room, waiting for you, so is Mala, and Master Kenobi" Colo shared, glancing at Anakin. "Skywalker, heard you got yourself into some trouble with the Count."
"I'm surprised doormen like you, hear about those sort of things."
"Doorman? I'm no doorman" Colo took a step toward him.
"Colo, why don't you walk with me, inside, considering I no longer have a royal guard." Lovisa grabbed hold of his arm, pulling him towards the Palace, and away from the Jedi.
She looked over her shoulder, shooting an unimpressed glare at Anakin, who looked just as shocked and annoyed that she "picked the other guy"
Lovisa stood in front of the closed door, that led to the throne room.
Ahsoka and Anakin had joined her, eventually, as all three of them had been requested.
"We're dead." Anakin breathed.
"We're going to get fired, and then thrown into a cell." Ahsoka sighed.
"I have a plan." Lovisa told them.
"Care to share, Princess?" Colo asked, leaning on the wall, in front of them.
"They don't know, that I know." Lovisa replied.
"That's the big plan?" Ahsoka gasped, as her and Anakin nearly snapped their necks, to look at her.
"Hopefully, they don't know that I know. Colo, the door."
"I thought you weren't a doorman." Anakin scoffed.
Colo grumbled some unkind words, under his breath as he opened the door.
"Lovisa Satine Amidala, Princess of Naboo." Colo announced, as Lovisa walked into the room, And so did Ahsoka and Anakin.
"Mother, Father, lovely of you to sit upon your thrones, instead of greeting me." Lovisa looked at her parents, as she continued to walk closer, and they had both shot to their feet, at the sight of her.
Obi-Wan, as well as the queen's handmaiden, were stood on either side, with much distance, as they stared at their own charges.
Obi-Wans arms were crossed, as he tapped his feet, causing Anakin to scratch the back of his neck, avoiding eye contact.
"Lovey!" Queen Jobals voice rang with anger, "What on earth are you wearing?"
"Oh, well, y'know, this was one of my favourite pieces, but I had no idea that being kidnapped, chased and thrown into a pit of death, and going on to fight in a battle, would be so messy, if I had a headsup-"
"Enough!" King Ruwee cut her off.
"But-"
"No!" He held up his hand. "Ahsoka, why did my daughter end up in Geonosis?"
Ahsoka gulped, as she ran her sweaty palms down her skirt, looking around the room, nervously.
"We were captured, Your highness." She curtsied, bowing her head.
"And how were you captured, and yet Padme was not?" Jobal asked, suspiciously. “When you both were supposed to stay in the castle, together?”
As though she were summoned, Padme bounded into the room, her eyes set on her sister.
"Lovey, you're home, and alive!" Padme gushed.
"Well, Mother, if you must know, I ran away." Lovisa answered, ignoring her sister. "It was foolish, I admit, but after what I had discovered, I felt betrayed, and angry, so I left, wanting to be away from my title, and my responsibilities, but, if it were not for Padawan Skywalker, and Ahsoka, coming after me, I would have died out there, before I was even captured, and taken to Count Dooku. But finding out that I would be the sole heir of the throne, I wasn't thinking, I was clouded with my emotions, knowing that my own sister and parents had lied and kept this secret from me."
"You know?" Ruwee's eyes had gone wide, as he stared at his wife.
"Padme, did you tell her?!" Jobal asked.
"Yes, mother, but I had no idea that Rush was going to propose, and she kept asking questions. I had no choice but to." Padme bowed her head in shame.
"Darling, you must know, we had a plan, we were going to make it special, when we broke the news to you, but your sister-"
"Lovey, we are sorry we kept this from you." Ruwee walked down the steps, from the platform, which their thrones were on, pulling his youngest daughter into a hug.
Lovisa hugged her father, as she looked over his shoulder, at Anakin, sending him a wink, she had managed to get them out of the clear.
"You're codling her, Rue." Jobal hissed.
Ruwee pulled away, moving to stand behind his daughter, his hands on her shoulders.
"I'm not coddling her, Jo." He sighed, "We did something, and it upset her feelings."
"She became the thing she was born for, and she acted out, and you are apologising for it!" Jobal gestured to the girl.
"Well, if Padme hadn't told Lovey-"
"Father! You're blaming me? It's not my fault Rush decided to propose to me!" Padme accused.
"Your daughter started a war, Rue, she needs to take responsibility for her actions."
"So what do you suggest? Hm.. we just send her off to the front lines? Let her fight it on her own? She's my little girl, Jo."
"She's Nineteen! I was pregnant with Padme, at her age! Both our daughters are unwed, we have no other heirs after them, because of you, Rue. Padme, you will become a Senator, and will marry Rush, Lovisa, you will become the sole heir, and you will find a husband! And, you will be joining your father, again, on his duties, considering you think you can get into adults business, you will act like it, you will help your father, throughout this war, fix the mess that you have made, and you both will give me grandchildren. Now get cleaned up, we are having Lunch!" Jobal ordered, before storming out of the room, before quickly popping her head in. "Oh, Master Kenobi, and Padawan Skywalker, you are welcome to join us, and please, feel in no hurry to return back to Coruscant, you are welcome to stay for as long as you need." She smiled at the two men, dipping out of the door, once more.
"Dad! I am not-" Lovisa whipped round, but her father held up a hand to her.
"Darling, she can still hear you, what's done is done, I'm sorry." Ruwee bowed his head in failure.
"I hope you're happy Pad, your punishment, was getting what you want, and ruining my life, congratulations on that uhappy ever after, and stealing mine." Lovisa sniffed, following after her mother, out of the room, and towards her own, to get washed and dressed, for the lunch her mother would force her to, by the ear, if she refused to attend.

Anakin fluttered his eyes open, as he came to, it took a minute for everything to sink in, and the memories to flood back, and that's when he looked down, to the realisation that he really had lost his hand, as he saw the white bandages that wrapped around the stump of his right arm.
His chest ached, and his lip quivered, as he thought about the loss, he was the chosen one, how could he be a chosen one, with only one hand.
"Hey, Skyguy, welcome back." A familiar voice spoke, from his right.
He turned to see Ahsoka, sat in a chair, beside his bed, her feet kicked up on the mattress, as she leaned back in her chair.
"How long was I out?" He asked.
"Two days?" She answered.
He looked around the room, then his eyes fell on the other girl, beside him, how had he not felt her hand in his, until now.
Lovisa's sleeping head, rested on her fist, and he could tell that she hadn't fallen asleep, on purpose.
"She hasn't left your side, not once." Ahsoka shared, "She didn't want you to wake up, and wonder where she went."
Subconsciously, he had started to rub his thumb, along the back of her hand.
"Any updates, since I was out?"
"Well, the king has ordered for us to report to him, as soon as you're able to relocate, he demands to know how on earth his daughter ended up in Geonosis, in the middle of Battle, when she was supposed to be in the Lake District."
"Fuck." He sighed, woefully. "I'm dead."
"Lovey expects us to be silent, when she deals with it, says she has a way of getting us all out of trouble. She's also sent Obi-Wan, back to the village, on a mission to see the best blacksmith there is, with orders to build you a new arm, out of the finest materials."
He let out a huff of air, his jaw clenched.
Lovisa shuffled in her chair, and they watched, as she too, woke up from her uncomfortable slumber.
Ahsoka couldn't bite back the smile, as she watched Lovisa slowly realise that Anakin was awake.
She looked down to where she could feel movement on her hand, and it took her a moment to realise that Anakin's thumb was moving, and then her eyes travelled up, to see his pretty blue eyes, on her.
"Ani!" She rose from her seat, cupping his face, as she breathed relief, that he had finally woken up.
Lovisa couldn't stop herself, as she kissed his forehead, and then his cheeks, repeatedly, and then she slapped his left shoulder.
"Don't ever scare me like that, again!" She ordered.
"'m sorry, your highness." He weakly chuckled.
"I'll go get Sola." Ahsoka excused herself, getting up from her chair, and closing the door behind her, to search for the medic.
As soon as the girl was out of sight, Lovisa crashed her lips, into Anakin's.
He exhaled into the kiss, as he responded, just as passionately, his only hand tangling itself into her wild curls.
"You owe Ahsoka, an act of gratitude, by the way" Lovisa told him, in a low voice, leaning her forehead, against his, her eyes still closed, a hand on his chest.
"And why is that?"
"She stopped you from announcing your love for me, in front of Obi-Wan." She smiled.
His own smile instantly dropped.
"That would have been bad." He swallowed.
"Yes, it would've." She nodded, as she kissed him, again. "How are you feeling?" Lovisa asked him, brushing his hair away from his face, with her fingers.
"I lost my arm, and Count Dooku got away." His voice cracked.
"Its okay, I'm working on getting you a new one, a better one, and you'll get him again."
"But, what if he goes after you, again?"
"I'll be fine."
"Vis-"
"Yes! It's so good to see that he's awake, I was beginning to think he was never going to wake up!" They heard Ahsoka speaking in a loud voice, down the hall, and that was  Lovisa's cue, to sit back in her chair, so to not get caught, in an compromising position, by Sola, the medic.
The door opened, and three balls of fur bounded into the room.
"As well as finding Sola, to dismiss you, I thought it was about time for a reunion." Ahsoka told them, as she picked up Seven.
Artoo leaped onto the bed, sprinting towards Anakin, who laughed joyfully, as his puppy licked at his face, excitedly.
"Hey, hi, buddy, I missed you too." He grinned.
"Mr Skywalker, how are we feeling?" Sola asked, a smile on her face.
"As good as I can, after losing an arm." He shrugged, petting behind Artoo's ears.
"I'm going to check it over, make sure you're recovering well, and then I'll redress it, and you should be good to travel to the Palace." Sola explained to him. "And, Princess, I want to check you over, too."
"Oh, no, I'm fine. Just focus on Anakin." Lovisa shook her head, picking up Threepio, as he had been requesting, by scratching at her bare legs.
"Nonsense, it won't take long. I'd hate to have to send you back to the King, with an infection."
"Then hopefully it takes me out, before I return." She replied.
"She's kidding." Ahsoka told the medic, who had paused the unwrapping of Anakin's bandaging, to nervously look at the Princess.
"No, I'm not."
"She is, she's such a jester." Ahsoka fake laughed.
"What happened? Why would you get an infection, did you get hurt?" Anakin examined her, closely, and that's when he realised her outfit, or at least the scraps of it.
"I won't, it's nothing, don't worry, how is his arm doing?"
"Well, it's not hot, that's a good sign, but it'll take a while to heal, completely, so I heavily advise that you take it carefully, Mr Skywalker, no Jedi activities, just yet. I'll give you a balm, to rub on it, every night, just before going to bed." Sola advised, as she redressed it.
Anakin bit the inside of his cheek, as he nodded along with her words.
"Perfect, I'll see about us getting back to the palace." Lovisa informed them, walking out the door.
That's when Anakin had realised the deep cuts along the bottom of her back, that were looking to just starting to scab over.
"What happened?" Anakin asked, his brows furrowing, when the door had closed.
"One of those big cats got her, during the "big show" when you were busy with the horned beast" Ahsoka explained.
"She refused to even let me treat it." Sola told the pair. "She spent hours in that hallway, walking back and forth, not being able to settle, all she could do was ask Captain Rex if he had any news, about the two of you, she didn't want to miss your arrivals, I had to beg her just to let me treat it. I never thought Princess Lovisa could ever care that much, y'know, I always thought it was her sister, Padme, that was so compassionate, and caring, but clearly, she is very loyal."
Sola then left, letting her words float in the air.
"Anakin, I don't want to think about Lovey all alone, if I come back with you to the Jedi Temple, we promised we would stick with her, and not let the throne get in the way, but it's the force that'd be tearing us apart, instead."
"Then we'll just need to make up excuses, to keep coming round." Anakin sighed. "I can barely breathe when she's not around, I can't go back to her being hours away, I wouldn't survive."
"I knew her longer, she's my best friend, It's not just about you, Skyguy." Ahsoka rolled her eyes at him. "She was right, you are full on."
"What- She said that?"

Lovisa paced the corridors of the "Base" as she desperately waited for signs of anyone.
"Please, Princess, let me aid you." A Medic with blonde hair, that was wrapped up into a tight and neat bun, asked, for what seemed like the sixth time, since she had been here. "I'll patch you up, and it won't take much of your time."
"No, I'm fine." She refused, staring at the doors, once more, willing them to open.
"Princess, I'm afraid you'll catch an sickness, if you do not let me clean and dress it. It's my job, and I can not let the royal highness die, on my watch."
"Later." She rolled her eyes. "It's not bad, I promise."
"M'lady, your back is soaked in blood, and the makeshift wrap, you have made out of your skirt, has been seeped through.”
She looked behind her, at where she had ripped her skirt, allowing it to fall to her mid thigh, using the excess material to tie around her waist, had in fact absorbed the blood from her wound.
"Rex!" She called to the man, who walked through the corridor. "Any news?"
"No, your highness, but I assure you, as soon as Young Tano and Skywalker show up, you'll be the first to know."
"Very well." She sighed, dropping her head.
"Princess, please allow me to fix you up, and you can come back to tearing a hole through the floor.”
"Fine." She groaned. "Be quick."
"I will." She led the girl through the other double doors, and into a room.
Lovisa untied the fabric, dropping it to the floor, as she laid on her stomach, on the medical bed, that was in the room.
"I must say, Princess, with a wound like this, you've been holding a brave face." The medic said, sounding almost proud.
"It's nothing." She shrugged, her arms crossed under her, as she rested her chin, on them. "I watched people die, today, because I was stupid enough to get caught."
"There was nothing you could have done, to prevent it, Princess." The woman told her, as she cleaned her back.
"No, there was." She sighed. "What is this place?"
"The GAR barracks, in Coruscant, your highness. We were located here, for the upcoming war."
"War? What war?" Lovisa furrowed her brows.
"THE war, M'lady. It's been looming over our heads, for a while, but I guess it's been officially kicked off at the battle that just took place, in Geonosis, The King had been trying to prevent it, but I guess the Separatists weren't having it, considering they finally got their hands on one of you."
"Wait, what?"
"Are you not aware of what's been happening?"
"No, uhm, I- I haven't really been around, in a fortnight."
"Oh. Well, maybe this is something you could ask the King, once you're back at the Palace, I'm sorry for oversharing, your highness."
"No, no, thank you..."
"Sola, your highness."
"Well, thank you, Sola, I'm not sure if you've noticed, yet, but I am not my sister, so no one ever thinks I'm worthy of knowing anything."
"I apologise If I've overstepped."
"You haven't, I assure you, it seems as though I've just threw the first stone in a war I didn't even know existed." Lovisa promised, as she sat up, once Sola had finished bandaging her up.
"Help! Help! We need a medic!" A voice shouted, it was Ahsoka's.
"Snips!" Lovisa gasped, almost throwing herself off the bed, as she went to run out the room, Sola hot on her trail.
They rushed through the double doors, to spot Obi-Wan and Ahsoka holding up a barely conscience Anakin, who seemed to be bleeding, from his arm.
"Oh gods!" Lovisa screamed, as she ran to his side, taking Ahsoka's place. "Ani, oh, Ani, what happened."
"It seems as though two people have now bested me, in a duel." Anakin's cheek fell onto her own hair, as he mumbled to her.
"What's the damage?" Sola asked Obi-Wan, as she wheeled over a gurney, and they helped lay the boy down.
"His right arm has... been cut clean off, just above the elbow." Obi-Wan struggled to say. "We tried to stop the bleeding as best we could."
"Good." Sola told him. "I will need to cauterise it, though I'm going to need you to stay awake, can you do that for me..."
"Anakin, his name's Anakin Skywalker." Obi-Wan rambled.
"Anakin, I really need you to try and keep your eyes open."
"Vis." He paid no attention to the medic, as he raised his only hand, twirling a curl of the Princess's hair, in between his thumb and index finger.
"Ani, I'm right here, okay, I'm not going anywhere, but you gotta keep talking, alright, tell me, what happened?"
Sola nodded at the girl, as she took off the makeshift bandages on his "stump" That was still spurting blood, as they rushed back into the room Lovisa and Sola were just in.
"We- we were duelling Count Dooku, I wanted to make him pay, for what he put you through, but- he- my hands gone, he took my hand, my duelling hands gone!" He whined.
"My poor Ani." She soothed, as she took his left hand, in hers, running her other through his hair, as she tried to calm him down.
"I'm sorry, Mr Skywalker, but I'm afraid this is going to be very painful." Sola told him, as the metal tool was heating up.
"What- what are you doing! No, stop!" He fought, trying to get up, but Obi-Wan helped push him down, as Lovisa attempted to calm him.
"No, stop, she's helping, she's going to make it better, okay, just breathe, copy me, look, breathe." Lovisa took in deep breathes, in through her nose, holding it for three seconds, before exhaling through her mouth, urging him to copy, as panic shone through his eyes. "Good, good, just keep watching me, keep your eyes on me."
"You're so... beautiful." He whispered, clearly distracted as he continued to stare at her.
"Thank you." She chuckled, awkwardly, not knowing how to react, in the presence of his master and the medic.
"I'm so inlo-"
"Here, bite down on this." Ahsoka told him, shoving a leather belt, into his mouth, that Sola had grabbed out of a draw, only a few moments ago.
Lovisa glanced at Ahsoka, a look of gratitude on her face, as she swiped at Anakin's cheeks.
"Okay... I'm going to count to three, Okay, Anakin?" Sola asked him, and he nodded, looking between her and the others around him, squeezing Lovisa's hand, tightly, as he clamped down on the belt. "One... Two..."
Anakin screamed in pain, thrashing on the gurney, trying his hardest to get away from the woman who was pressing a white hot blade against the remaining part of his arm.
Obi-Wan looked away, as he kept a strong grip, on the boy, not being able to stand the sight of him in such pain, and neither could the two girls, at his side.
"Anakin, you still with us?" Sola asked, once she took it off, and his body had gone limp.
"Ani, it's over, okay, the hard parts over, you did so well." Lovisa encouraged, as she wiped away his tears. "You did so, so well, I'm so proud of you."
He shook his head, his eyes closed, tightly.
"It's okay to rest, now." Sola told him, and if waiting for her permission was the thing keeping him awake, he fell unconscious.
"Is he going to be okay?" Ahsoka asked.
"I should hope so, I can't say how long he'll be out, for, but his body is going to need lots of rest, after what he has gone through. I'll be in to check up on him regularly, but his pulse is coming to a steady pace, that's a good sign, the boy's a fighter."
"That he is." Obi-Wan agreed.
"I'll be back soon, I get the sense that he'll be watched carefully under you all?" Sola asked.
"Yes." They all answered.
"Very well." She nodded, before leaving the room, to check on the other injured, that had been brought in, after the Jedi.
"I see that you both have changed your opinions, on one another." Obi-Wan broke the silence, that had fell around the room.
Lovisa lifted her gaze, from the sleeping Anakin, meeting the man's eyes.
"I guess you could say that." She muttered. "We came to an mutual understanding, I suppose."

The three were blindfolded, as they were escorted to a new place.
"Ani, Snips." Lovisa spoke, hurriedly. "Thank you, for being the first friend's I've ever had, and caring about me more than who I am to the Kingdom, but for me, you have no Idea what it means to me, and I... I love you, both, I'm so sorry you're in this, because of me-"
"It's not because of you" Ahsoka cut her off, with a snappy tone. "Don't do that to yourself."
"We're not going to die, M'lady, we'll figure it out, I know it, don't embarrass yourself by admitting your inner thoughts, too soon." Anakin told her, a slight teasing in his tone
"It does not matter to me even if you both are paid to be in my presence, you have treated me with so much kindness and humility, than anyone ever has."
"Lovisa, stop it, I can not have my last moments with you being... sentimental, don't ruin my image of you."
"We're not going to die" Anakin repeated.
"Shut it!" A guard told them, as he took off their blindfolds, and they were dragged along, by their chains, into what looked like an large arena, stands full of people shouted and jeered, chucking things down, as they walked below them.
Four pillars stood, in the middle, and that's when they spotted someone chained to the first one.
"Obi-Wan?" Anakin asked.
"Anakin? What on earth are you doing here? And the Princess, Anakin!"
"I was protecting her, Master!" He defended, as they were also chained to the pillars.
Lovisa quickly ran her fingers through her hair, grabbing a clip, from her thick curls, just as the guard walked over to chain her, between her two friends.
"Good job." The man nodded, with sarcasm.
"Death to the royals!" The crowd had started to chant, upon noticing Princess Lovisa, in attendance.
"Ignore them, Lovey." Ahsoka told the girl, who looked around, a worried look on her face.
"Who- Is that the handmaiden?" Obi-Wan stretched to peer at the last pillar. "Anakin, you had strict instructions!"
"This isn't the time, right now!" The boy cut off the man.
"Ladies and Gentleman!" They looked up, where a group of people were stood, Count Dooku, General Grievous, the man who had captured them, a boy by his side, and Jabba the Hut, a large round man, who referred to himself as king, among the people of his small occupation, though, he was no such thing. "We have a somewhat special guest for you, tonight, though, not as special as her sister. The spare, Princess Lovisa Amidala, of Naboo!" Jabba the hut, introduced, as a bright light shone down on her, almost blinding the girl.
"Cunt!" Voices roared.
"Traitor"
"Kill her!"
"Bitch!"
"Down with the Royals!"
The people were angry, as their voices carried, some were hoarse, as they strained their vocal boxes.
They continued to throw things, at her, as she attempted to shield her face, with her arms.
"...Let the show begin!" Jabba bellowed, after allowing the crowd to finish their threats, a wide smirk plastered to his gruesome face.
A large bell was rang, announcing the beginning of their end.
"I've got a bad feeling about this." Anakin commented.
Without waiting to see what was at stake for her, Lovisa got to work on needling the clip into the lock of the chains, breaking it from the inside, a skill she had mentally thanked Padme, for teaching her, many times.
"Oh my god!" She heard Ahsoka gasp, beside her.
Lovisa spared a look, over her shoulder, as she wiggled her hands free.
An gate was being raised, as a mass variety of all sorts of animals walked out, letting out a range of different sounds, causing goosebumps to raise along her skin.
She got to work of undoing Ahsoka's chains, as she could hear Anakin and Obi-Wan conversing their own escape.
"Up, go up!" Lovisa rushed, as she marched back to her own podium, using the chains to hoist herself up, so that she could stand on top of it, and far out of the way of the beasts, that looked hungry.
Ahsoka copied the girl, as she also got to the top of her own.
"Just relax, concentrate." Obi-Wan told his Padawan.
"But, what about the girls?" He asked, looking at his master.
"They seem to be on top of things." Obi-Wan shrugged, looking at the two, as they stood, assessing the arena.
"What?" Anakin looked over, to be amazed at the sight, how had they done that?
An large animal, with horns along its nose, charged at Obi-Wan, and he used this to his advantage, dodging out of the way, allowing it to pierce his chains, setting him free from his pillar.
Another went for Anakin, and using the force, as well as his own chains, he hoisted himself up, jumping into the air, and flipping onto it's back, breaking the connection of the metal, to the pillar.
An white catlike animal had claimed Lovisa, as it attempted to climb the pillar to get to her, but she used her chain, as a whip, to beat it down, seeming to anger it more.
That's when it jumped once more, just managing to claw her back, leaving deep scratches, as she wailed in pain.
Ahsoka watched, as Anakin was dragged off of his ride, being pulled along in the sand and dust, as the animals began fighting each other.
She waved her own chains down, grabbing the attention of two of the animals, as they both hurtled towards it, and just in time, she yanked them up, letting them collide into each other, dragging the animal that was attacking Lovisa, into their fight, taking the focus off of her.
Anakin, somehow, had managed to tame his, being able to hop back onto it, using his chain as a lasso, before turning It into a harness, for his beast, as Obi-Wan, continued to taunt his own, even managing to get it to knock down his pillar, as he claimed an long electric shocker, from one of the guards, who had been leering the animals over towards their captees.
Lovisa stood tall, as Anakin rode his beast towards her pillar, halting to just below it.
"Jump!" He shouted.
She braced herself, before doing just that, landing behind him, her arms instantly wrapping around his waist, as she kissed his cheek.
"What about me?!" Ahsoka called.
"Hurry up, Snips!" Anakin called to her, moving closer.
Ahsoka took a deep breath in, before throwing herself down, and landing behind Lovisa.
Obi-Wan had managed to get on top of his own beast, as he rode it over towards them.
"What now?" Lovisa asked.
A group of large looking scorpions, rolled from the gates, circling the two beasts.
"You just had to ask." Ahsoka breathed out.
They watched, as Jedi swarmed the arena, unsheathing their swords, and that's when they spotted Master Windu, speaking with Count Dooku.
Guards ran into the new battlefield just as the Jedi had, battling each other, as Anakin and Obi-Wan avoided the crossfire, on their beasts.
"Here, found these, thought you may need them." A Jedi shouted, as they tossed swords at the two, who were quick to grab them, cutting all the existing chains, and joining the battle.
"Gimme that!" Ahsoka demanded, shoving a guard, and taking their sword, she was glad that Colo had took pleasure in teaching the handmaiden tricks and defensive moves, as they waited for their dear princess to finish her lessons for the day, something that she had been unaware of.
Lovisa crawled along the floor, keeping low, as she avoided the many people, rubble, animals, and gunfire.
She found a lone gun, jumping up and shooting at anything that didn't resemble a Jedi.
As they continued to fight, Lovisa and Anakin had found themselves pushed together, assessing the battlefield.
"You don't seem so helpless." He commented.
"I always said I could protect myself." She raised a brow at him, shooting down a guard.
The corner of his mouth raised, as he watched her, before forcing himself back into defence mode.
"Wait- Is that?" Lovisa gasped, and they looked over, to see all three puppies were among the fighting, the three of them were chewing at the trouser leg of one of the guards, knocking him down, as they continued to attack him.
"Artoo!" Anakin called, excitedly.
The Jedi, as well as the Princess and the Handmaiden, were forced into a circle, as the guards kept coming, surrounding them.
But then, they had come to a stand still, dropping their weapons, as they stared at the Jedi, waiting on orders.
The Jedi had also lowered their swords, as they looked around.
"Master Windu." Count Dooku called down. "You have fought gallantly... worthy of recognition in the archives of the Jedi Order. Now. It is finished. Surrender and your lives will be spared."
"We will not be hostages to be bartered, Dooku!" Master Windu refused.
"Then, I'm sorry, Old friend." Count Dooku nodded, and the guards had raised their weapons, once more.
Anakin twirled the sword in his hand, as he prepared to resume the fighting.
"Look!" Lovisa shouted, noticing what others hadn't.
Hundreds of soldiers, being led by Master Yoda, marched into the arena, as they shot down the guards, surrounding the Jedi, spurring them on, to join the fight.
One, on top of a horse, rode over to Anakin and Lovisa, blocking them both from the battle.
"I have strict orders to get the princess out and far away from here." He said, to Anakin.
"Go." Anakin told her, as he grabbed her waist, to lift her up on top of the horse.
"No! I will stay and help!" She demanded.
"You will not, you will get on this horse, and let..."
"Rex, sir." The man introduced himself.
"And let Rex take you to safety, understood?"
"Anakin!"
"Don't argue with me." He told her, as he put her on top of the horse. "Rex, do not let any harm come to the princess."
"I won't sir, I'll bet my life on it."
"Good, get her out of here!" He smacked the back of the horse, making it cry out, before galloping away.
"Where are you taking me?!" Lovisa yelled.
"Base, your highness, they'll meet us back there."
Lovisa looked behind her, watching Anakin fight against the guards, it was almost like a dance, how graceful and persistent he was, her heart swelled at the sight, as he got smaller, and smaller.

The three walked around the place, in silence, hiding in the shadows, as they kept an ear out, for any noise, as they tried to make it out of the place, which they soon came to realise, was a factory.
Anakin led the way, Lovisa clung to the back of his shirt, per his instruction, and Ahsoka held the girls hand.
As they were about to pass a corner, Anakin came to an abrupt halt, causing Lovisa to slam into his back, and Ahsoka into her.
"Ow, Snips, you've trodden on my foot." Lovisa hissed.
"Oh, sorry." Ahsoka apologised, bashfully.
"Shh." Anakin raised his hand at them, as he angled his head, to hear what was going on, in front of them. "Back, go back, this way, they're coming." He shoved the girls, back the way they came, to look for an alternative route.
"They're coming that way, too." Ahsoka panicked.
"Okay." He looked around, as he tried to think. "Okay, this way."
"The Princess is missing!" They heard a shout echo around the walls.
"I want everyone on the look out, you see her companions, you kill them, no harm is to come to her, yet!" A loud crackly voice boomed, before clearing his throat.
"Anakin!" Ahsoka groaned.
"I'm trying!" He growled, as he began trying every door they came across, but none of them were opening.
Eventually one had gave, and recklessly, the trio threw themselves in, shutting the door behind them, as marching footsteps were getting closer.
"For fuck sake!" Lovisa cursed. "WHY IS THERE EVEN A DOOR HERE?"
It had appeared that Anakin had led them into the manufacturing part of the factory, that was active.
"They went in there!" A soldier shouted.
"We can't go back!" Anakin fumed.
"We're going to die." Ahsoka cried.
Lovisa thought about her options, she could either walk back out the door, allow her friends to be killed, and her life bargained with, or she could jump on that conveyor belt and take her chances with the machinery.
She took in a deep breath, before sprinting, flinging her self into the air, capturing the giant hook above her, and using the last bit of momentum to swing herself towards the moving conveyer, rolling on her shoulder before, landing and standing tall, to catch her breath, as she turned around to see what the other two were going to do.
Once again, she had found that she left them speechless.
"Come on, we don't have time for this!" She called over to them.
"Me first, lover boy." Ahsoka pushed Anakin back, as she copied what the princess had done, to be amazed when she survived, instead of plummeting to her death.
Lovisa decided to focus ahead, trusting that Anakin and Ahsoka would be able to handle themselves.
She gathered the fabric of her long skirt, tugging it together before tying it into a knot, just below her hip, to prevent herself from tripping over it, as the conveyor carried her forwards.
"Look out!" Ahsoka shouted.
She looked ahead, as an hot iron press was about to slam down.
She hopped back, before waiting for the opportunity to roll under it.
The door had opened, and so had another, on the other side, guards flung in.
"Cease them!" One shouted, as they ran towards the three.
"Which ones the princess?!" Another called.
"The one about to fall in the vat of molten lava!"
Lovisa ran the opposite way of the conveyer belt, back towards Anakin and Ahsoka, who was getting closer to her, as she tried to escape the next obstacle.
"What are we gonna do?!" Lovisa shouted.
"What can we do?" Ahsoka shrugged, flinging her hands up, panic written all over her face . "We're out of options.”
All of a sudden, the conveyer belt was shut off, and they were brought to a stand still.
They looked over to the door they came in from.
Two stern looking men were stood there.
One had a passive expression on his old face, his hands clasped between his back, as the bigger one, who they could tell had lots of prosthetic parts, had his arms folded across his chest, looking angry.
"We would like to surrender." Anakin told them, his hands out, as if he was making an declamation.
On either side of the boy, Ahsoka and Lovisa side eyed him.
The trio were soon placed in a room, tied to chairs, their backs to each other, forming a circle.
"Great idea, Anakin." Lovisa grumbled bitterly.
"Yeah, one of your best." Ahsoka rolled her eyes.
"What else was I supposed to do? They were going to get us anyway, and I would have preferred to survive it."
The door slammed open, hitting the wall, aggressively, as the large man from earlier, walked in.
"Spare." He greeted the princess.
"It's pronounced Lo- Vee - Sa." Lovisa sighed, at him.
"Unimportant." He waved off. "Much like you."
"So why am I here?"
"Where's your sister?" He asked, crouching down, as he got close to her own face, glaring at her.
"I don't know." She shrugged. "Why don't you go look for her, and let me and my friends go."
"Don't lie to me!" He spat.
"I'm not lying!" She lied.
"Yeah, think about it! Your lap dog snatched us up, on the road back from Tatooine, we haven't been at the Palace for days." Ahsoka spoke up.
Lovisa raised a brow at him.
"Quiet servant girl!" The man barked at her.
“Het, don’t talk to her, like that!” Lovisa berated.
"General Grievous, I hope you're not tormenting our guests, too much." The old man, spoke, walking into the room.
"Count Dooku, I was merely looking for answers, but the Princess is still proving to be insufferable."
"Still?" Lovisa screwed her face up, at the man. "Sorry, do I know you?"
"You don't know me?!" General Grievous seethed, as he advanced towards her, but Count Dooku stopped him, with just a hand on his shoulder.
"Should I?" Lovisa asked, leaning back in her chair, her thick curls touching Anakin's and Ahsoka's.
"I served for your father for most of his reign, until you had him fire me! Called me scary looking, put me out of a job." He pointed in her face, with an accusing finger, as his scarred face turned red.
"I don't even remember you."
"I guess you wouldn't, you were only young, perhaps four."
"Wait, hold on." Anakin interrupted. "So you kidnapped us, threw us in a cell, chased after us, all because Lovisa called you scary looking, when she was a mere toddler, and you can understand that she has no idea what you're on about, but yet, you're screaming in her face, and threatening her?"
"Quiet, boy." Grievous stepped towards him.
"General, why don't you go make sure the thing, is nearly ready, and that everything is prepared." Count Dooku told the half man.
He growled, bitterly, to himself, before forcing himself to stand up straight, marching out of the room.
"Princess Lovisa." Count Dooku turned his attention to her, speaking in a gentle and calm voice. "Your friends are going to die, regardless, but we don't have to let you die, as well, I'm willing to return you to your parents, for a trade, if you just tell the truth. You're not the one we want."
Lovisa rolled her eyes, as she looked at the ceiling of the room.
"I don't know where Padme is." She repeated.
"Does it pain you?" He asked. "To constantly live in her shadow, knowing that the only reason you exist, is to be there, to fall into her shoes, you will never get the throne, the respect of your kingdom, your happy ending, nothing."
"I have no desire to rule, I don't care for the crown, so no, I do not envy my sister, I love my sister, very much, and when it is her turn to rule, I will support her, she will make one of the greatest queens we have ever had." Lovisa told him. "You might as well kill me now, I will never betray her, or my family, or even our people."
"I really didn't want to do this, Lovisa, but you have left me no choice, I tried." He said it, as though he actually valued her life.
She spat at him.
He inhaled slowly, as he wiped the spit off of his face.
"Very well." Count Dooku said, in a quiet voice. "Guards, take them to the arena, the show is about to begin."

Anakin was filled with disappointment, when he woke, to discover that Lovisa was no longer in the bed, beside him.
She wasn't even in the room, or the bathroom, he had checked.
He sat back down on the bed, his head in his hands, as he thought about last night, everything he had said to her, he cursed himself, for being so open, all the time, Obi-Wan had always told him that one of his biggest problems was never knowing when to just be quiet, and that not every thought had to be heard.
Anakin wouldn't even be surprised if he scared the Princess off.
"Skyguy! Come on!" A banging at the door brought him out of his thoughts.
He rushed to chuck on his clothes, and fix his hair, before leaving the room.
"This... thing, belongs to you." As he opened the door, he was met with Ahsoka holding out his pups leash, in front of his face.
"Hey, buddy." He picked the pup up, holding him to his chest. "What's wrong?"
"Seems as though he's just as annoying as you, would not settle, was constantly trying to break through the door, and disturbing the other two."
"It was your idea to let them sleep together in your room." He reminded.
"Yeah, well, never again."
"Where's Lovisa?" Anakin tried to act as though her missing presence was just an afterthought, a throwaway comment, instead of how he actually felt about her not being near him.
"Getting dressed, she only woke up a little while ago." Ahsoka said, though she carefully scanned his expression.
She'd be a liar, if she wasn't surprised to find Lovisa climbing into their bed, in the early hours of the morning, but when she had asked if the princess was okay, she never answered, instead just buried herself under the covers, her back to the girl.
As though she could sense the two talking about her, Lovisa walked out of the girls room, she was dressed in a two piece, a long pale blue skirt, with a matching top, that wrapped around her abdomen, and the sleeves flowed down her arms, showing off her beautiful skin, her cloak, was already on, but the hood was down, showing how she had braided parts of her hair, leaving most of it down, her thick curls fell down to the middle of her back.
She looked mesmerising, as usual, and Anakin's heart almost burst out of his chest, as he stared at her, in awe.
Threepio walked beside her, as they strolled down the hall, and out of the inn, without looking back at the other two.
"What the hell did you do to her?" Ahsoka muttered to the boy, when she was out of sight.
"What? I- nothing." He defended himself. "She, she was fine earlier, I don't know what happened."
"You're an idiot, I know that you think you did nothing, but clearly it was something. I swear, if you pressured her with your feelings, once more, I may not be a Jedi, but I'll still kick your ass." She then walked away from him, and in the direction Lovisa had gone.
He sighed to himself, feeling regret, as he stropped after them.
"I fucked up, buddy." He groaned to Artoo, who licked his face, encouragingly.
Lovisa was sat in the cart, when they finally came outside, she was in Ahsoka's usual seat.
"Time's ticking." She said.
"Well, aren't you a ray of sunshine, this morning, want to share what's got you in such a good mood?" Ahsoka asked her, as she shuffled into the middle seat.
She received an eyeroll in reply.
Anakin wanted to talk to her, but thought better of it, instead, got into his seat, and encouraged the horses to take them on their journey home.
Anakin and Ahsoka had started up a conversation about the force, as Lovisa continued to sit in silence, turning her body away from them, as she looked at their surroundings.
He was trying to teach her how to deepen the connection, and to rely on it, as he had been taught, as a youngling.
"This is boring." Ahsoka complained, as she sat with her eyes closed.
"It's meditating, of course it's boring, but it's still important."
She opened her eyes, looking at him.
"Seems like a waste of time."
"Do you feel that?" Anakin interrupted, as he looked around, they were on an lone road, nowhere else was about, only tree's and bushes.
"What is it?" Lovisa asked, as she too, looked for signs of life.
"Yeah, yeah I can." Ahsoka focused on the presence.
That was when a man walked in front of their cart, he was dressed in a suit of armour, an helmet shielding his face.
"Stop." he halted, and Anakin had no choice but to listen.
"Who are you?" Anakin asked the stranger.
"The girl." He pointed at Lovisa. "I've been hired to take you to my employer. I'm not to harm you, so I urge you make this easy on yourself."
Her heart began to race, fear overcoming her.
"You leave her be." Anakin glared, his hand moving to the hilt of his sword. "Get out of our way, be gone."
The man lowered his head, his hands on his hips, as he looked to be sighing to himself.
"Teenagers." He grumbled. "Always so headstrong, and stubborn. Get 'em." He snapped his fingers.
Before the three had a chance to react to what the man had said, all their visions had gone dark, as bags were thrown over their heads, and they were yanked out the cart.
They all fought against their captors, but it was hard to tell how many there were, and when their hands were tied behind their backs, and they were thrown into what seemed like the back of a wooden box, it was obvious they weren't escaping.
"Ani, Snips?" Lovisa called out, as she tried to wiggle out of her restraints.
"Princess." Anakin answered, and it sounded as though he was trying to move towards her.
"Lovey, are you hurt?" Ahsoka asked.
"No, no, I'm okay." She replied. "Are you both okay?"
"Yeah, we're fine, but that was a bounty hunter, I'm sure of it."
"Hey! Shut up back there!" A voice shouted, followed by banging on wood.
Then they felt themselves being moved.
"Oh, god, Obi-Wan's gonna kill me." Anakin groaned. "I let the princess get kidnapped."
"Never mind your master, her parents are gonna kill you, and then me!" Ahsoka snapped at him.
"That is not our biggest issue right now!" Lovisa reminded the both of them. "That's if they ever see us alive again!"
"Shut it!" Another bang on the wall, spooked them into silence.
Eventually, the cart had stopped, and the door squeaked open.
"Is she harmed?" An old stern voice, spoke.
"No, sir, it was pretty easy retrieving her."
"Who are they?"
"The people she was riding with, I assume they all know each other, considering they had been travelling together for a while, thought it best to not leave anyone who would come after her."
"Smart, very well, put them in a cell, until I'm ready, I have our other prisoner, to deal with." He spoke in a bored tone, as if capturing people was such an mundane task for him.
The three were grabbed, by their shoulders, and pushed out of the box.
They were led to another unknown location, but were all reassured to know that they were kept together.
"My father will have all of your heads, he'll come for me, you know, and so will the Jedi and the whole police force, and then you'll be sorry."
"Do you ever stop talking?" The man who had stood in the road, spoke through a clenched jaw, he was the one escorting Lovisa.
"She doesn't, but she's right." Ahsoka backed her up.
"I don't care who your family are, or who even you are, job's a job, and I always deliver."
"Who are you?" Anakin asked, again.
"None of your business, kid."
"Kid?!" Even with a bag on his head, it was obvious the boy was scowling.
"Stay put, or they go back on." The man said, as he unbagged and untied the three, one at a time, before shoving them into a cell, together.
Lovisa closed her eyes tight, as she adjusted to the dim light, from the small cell window.
"Hey, hey, look at me, are you okay? Did they hurt you?" Anakin was at her side in seconds, one hand on her cheek, the other in her hair, as he assessed her, checking for damage.
"No... no, I'm fine." She whispered, her breath was coming out rushed, as panic was still flowing from her. "Ani, I'm... I'm scared." She admitted.
"Don't be, you'll be safe, my love, I won't let anything happen to you, I'll kill everyone in this building, before I allow harm to come to you. I promise, Lovisa."
She looked up at him, her eyes wide, and her brows drawn together, her mouth was formed in a pout.
"But what if something happens to you?" She asked.
"As long as you're safe, that doesn't matter." His thumb swiped across her cheek, back and forth, soothingly.
"It matters to me, Anakin. I don't want anything to happen to you, either, I-..." She swallowed thickly. "I think I love you, too..."
"You- you love me?" His face morphed into shock.
She nodded.
"I can't have the life we want, together, but I can't deny myself of you, any longer, I love you, even though I have been trying to resist from it, I am unable. But I do, I love you, god damn it." She was almost frustrated, with the revelation.
But he only smiled, forgetting for a moment, that they had been kidnapped, and thrown into a cell.
He kissed her, passionately, before resting his forehead against hers, still not able to bite back his happiness.
A cough from the corner of the cell, had caught their attention, they turned their heads in sync, to see Ahsoka, standing still as she stared at them in horror.
"Snips." Lovisa pulled herself away from Anakin, as she remembered her friends existence.
"You... you- its forbidden." Ahsoka said, "You told me that you wouldn't allow this, that things were going to end, before it got too far. He broke the code, he's broken the code, and you're a princess."
"Soka, please, you're being dramatic." Lovisa told her, as she stepped closer. "You weaselled your way into knowing."
"I thought that you would come to your senses, eventually." She hissed.
"I tried!" Lovisa hissed back, it was Anakin's turn to stand awkwardly behind them, and watch.
"Try harder."
"We might die here, and you really want to get mad at my happiness?"
"I told Padme it was a stupid idea to make the two of you be around each other, so much."
"What?" Lovisa's annoyed expression had dropped.
"This isn't important right now, we can talk about it later, we should think about getting out of here, before that man comes to talk to you."
Lovisa looked at her, for another beat, before agreeing, looking around the cell.
"Hm, Ani, do you think you could fit in that?" Lovisa asked, pointing at the air vent, that was above them.
"I could try." He shrugged.
"Give me a boost." She instructed, walking towards the wall.
"Wait, Lovey, let me go first." Ahsoka told her. "We don't know where that could lead to."
"Don't you need to discuss with Padme, before making a decision, like that?" Lovisa asked, pointedly, taking off her cloak.
"Lovey, that's unfair."
"Anakin, boost me." She tapped his shoulders.
"Yes, your highness." He sighed, easily lifting her off the ground, allowing her to reach the vent. "Can you pry it off?"
"Yeah, I think I got it, it's already a bit loose." She replied, pulling off the vent, as she stood on his shoulders.
"Lovey, quick, someone's coming!" Ahsoka told her. "Hurry!"
"What?!" She turned around, to look at the cell door, but then panicked, loosing her footing and falling off, dropping the vent lid, in doing so.
Anakin quickly caught her, in his arms, as the lid clattered to the ground, just as what looked like a guard stood in front of the cell.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"Nothing." The three answered.
"Don't seem like nothing. Why's that on the floor?" He looked at them suspiciously.
"It fell." Ahsoka said.
"Likely story. Why are you carrying her?"
Anakin quickly put Lovisa back on her feet.
"Uhm, we uh. Oh, you caught us." Lovisa looked down, in shame.
"You were trying to escape!" The man stomped his foot.
"Oh! Oh, no, we were not." Lovisa shook her head, stepping towards the cell bars. "You see, I just really need to use the bathroom, lady issues, y'know, but I didn't know when someone would be here, to escort me, and I was just really desperate, but now that you're here, you can help me out." She smiled at him, kindly.
"You're not supposed to leave the cell." He said.
"I know, that. But your lord, he said that if I had any issues, or did need to step out, to let you know, and you to let me." She lied. "But, I promise, I'm not trying to escape, I swear it, a Princess never lies."
"Wait, you're the princess?"
"Yes, I am, the princess, and you wouldn't want to deny the princess, would you?"
"No, I would not." He shook his head. "You two." He pointed at Ahsoka and Anakin. "Stand over there, your backs to the wall."
They both looked at the girl, but she gave a subtle nod, she knew what she was doing, and they were going to have to trust her.
So begrudgingly, the two stood at the wall, and the guard opened the cell door.
"Thank you, kindly," She curtsied.
"Roger, roger." The man nodded, as he closed the door behind her. "Stay there, scum." He pointed at the two.
Lovisa took two steps ahead, before doubling back, and slamming the man's face into the cell bars, before grabbing for his gun, using the end of it to knock him out, for good.
Anakin and Ashoka jumped back, at her actions, both wearing faces of surprises, their hands on their heads.
"Come on, lets get out of here." She snapped at them, as she yanked the keys off the guard, and unlocking the door.
Ahsoka rushed quickly, to run out, hopping over the body, as she reached Lovisa, Anakin swooping up Lovisa's cloak, before also joining them.

Anakin pushed off the doorframe, as he held the door open, giving her the space to walk in, which she did, and then he closed it, behind her.
She made herself comfortable, on his bed, as he shifted, in front of her.
"Ashoka's mad at me." He stated. "I can feel it."
"She's not mad." Lovisa refused, softly, shaking her head. "She.... Snips is just a bit, confused? About what she saw, about what happened to the Tuskan Raiders, she doesn't know how to feel about it."
"But, they killed my mother!" He grew angry, and Lovisa stood up from the bed, quickly, to try and calm him down.
"Yes, I know, Ani, I'm not attacking you, and neither is she, but... that's not exactly something you see every day, you still did something, rather shocking."
"So you're taking her side?" He furrowed his brows, as he looked down on her. "Out of everyone, you're taking her side over mine?"
"No, Anakin, stop this-"
He marched back over to the door, opening it wide.
"You can go back to Ahsoka, no one's stopping you." He fumed, staring at the floor as he waited for her to leave.
"Calm down, Anakin." Lovisa ordered, closing the door, once more, and leaning her back against it. "I am not choosing anyone's side, there are no sides. Ahsoka isn't mad at you, and no one is judging you for what you did, but you have to understand, you can't ever do what you did, again. We both agreed that we will never speak of this, again, but Anakin, that can't ever happen, again, you are a Jedi, it is not right."
He sighed, with defeat, as he threw himself down, where Lovisa was sat, moments ago.
"I know, I know, I'm sorry, I am so sorry, Princess." He dropped his head into his hands. "I do not know what is coming over me, I just... I feel so many emotions, and I can not control my outbursts."
"Well, you need to, because you do not snap at me, like that, ever again, I am still your future queen." She told him, bluntly. But then she walked towards him, kneeling as she placed her hands on his knees. "But, I understand, you're grieving, you lost your mother, in such a painful and scarring way, let yourself feel it, so that you can move past it, I am here for you, as a friend, as someone who cares for you."
"As something more?" He whispered.
"...Ani, we do not need to have this conversation at this moment, for another time." She looked away from him, standing tall, so that she could take a step back. "Can't you just lay it to rest?"
"But I don't want to!" He stood up from the bed.
Lovisa was regretting coming to see him, she couldn't deal with his ups and downs, it was unbearable, she wished she had just gone to sleep, beside her best friend.
"We don't even know each other." She looked at him, in the eye. "The last time we had seen each other was eight years ago, eight years, Anakin, and we were only brought together, because you were assigned a mission, if not, we probably wouldn't have seen each other, even longer, when this is all over, you will go back to Coruscant, and I will go back to the Palace, we won't see each other until who knows when, there is no need to make things more complicated."
"I'm in love with you." He burst out, making her freeze.
"That can not be possible."
"Don't." He was growing frustrated, once more. "Do not tell me how to feel! I know it to be true, how much more do I need to pour my heart out, to you, before you accept it?"
"Once we're in a reality where it can be, but we are not." She rolled her eyes.
"You were the first person to ever show me kindness, at that temple, the first to ever see me as human, who spoke to me, instead of just about me." Anakin confessed. "The other younglings, they looked down on me, as though I were scum, and I guess I was. They would taunt and laugh at me, calling me "Slave boy" ordering me around, leaving me out of their games, and I wasn't allowed to sit at their table, at lunch. I was told I would never amount to anything, that the prophecy was fake, I would never be a real Jedi."
"That's what you meant, about that man, you called him your old master." Lovisa pried. "You were a slave?"
"Yes." He sniffed. "until Qui-Gon freed me, so that I could become a Jedi, I vowed to free my mother, too, but I was never given the chance."
"But I thought the slave trade was abolished, my grandfather made sure of it." Lovisa was confused.
Anakin let out a cruel laugh, as he sat back down on the bed.
"How little you really know about the world, outside of the Palace, Princess. Not everyone actually listens to the royal decrees of the Kingdom, especially not this far out. Tatooine thrives on the slave trade and crime and so many other places, around."
"Why has nothing been done about it?"
"What can be done? Its much bigger than what anyone can handle, that's why its best to be kept under the table, out of sight, its best to be made contained, instead of a war breaking out."
"Why didn't you tell me, earlier? Why did you hide it from me?"
"Vis, you can't be that ignorant." He joked, but then he looked at his hands, as he licked his bottom lip. "I didn't want you to look down on me, see me as just the slave boy, like they did. Someone like you would never even see me as someone worth your time." He was ashamed, and it made her heartache.
"I would never think that." She told him, shaking her head. "Ani, I would never look down on you, for something that you can not help, I am so sorry that you would even think that, that you would hide a part of your past from me, you have gone through so much, and yet you're embarrassed to tell me? I feel horrible."
"Don't feel that way, Princess, that is not who I am, anymore, I was freed." He reached out for the girl, pulling her to stand in between his legs, and she automatically placed her arms around his shoulders, her fingers tangling themselves in his hair.
"For one more night, can we pretend that we live in the world where we are together, that we are happy, and unrestricted?" Lovisa whispered, as she looked at his beautiful golden face, as his lips pulled up into a smirk, one hand on her waist, as the other moved to rub up and down the back of her thigh.
"I won't let you become a memory, Vis." Anakin promised, as his face moved to the inside of her neck, brushing his lips against the sensitive skin, as her breathe hitched. "I won't allow you to let me become a mistake."
"You're a Jedi. What about the code."
"Fuck the code, Vis. My heart, my devotion, it belongs to you. I'd quit this second, if you asked me to."
"No." She shook her head, as she leaned back, welcoming his sweet kisses. "You have worked so hard, and so long to become a Jedi Knight. Your skills would be wasted, without the order, I won't allow that."
"Then I won't, but I've always believed that I can have my cake, and eat it, too." He smiled into her throat.
"You told me you loved me." Lovisa repeated his confession.
"And no word of it, was a lie."
"We are only nine and ten years, do you not think that is too soon, for such proclamations?"
"Not when I know that no one makes me feel the way you do. No one angers me, frustrates me, and annoys me, as much as you do."
"Keep talking, that's what every woman wants to hear." Lovisa told him, as she sat down, on his lap, her legs on either side of his, as she cupped his face, looking into his eyes, before trailing kisses down his cheek, past his jaw, and to his own throat.
"But, no one has ever made me laugh, feel as special, or as desired, I grow more mesmerised, by the sight of you, as the days go on, your beauty only furthers, in a room full of people, you make me feel as though I'm the only one you can see."
"Stop speaking of me so highly." She told him, as she lifted her head, to kiss his lips, in hopes that he would shut up.
"But why?" He pulled his face away from her.
"Because it's rather irritating." She admitted. "It makes my chest and stomach feel weird, I don't like it."
He chuckled at her.
"Do not laugh at me." Her face turned into a scowl.
"Vis, are you telling me you get butterflies, when I talk about you so dearly?"
"I'd say your words make me feel rather nauseous, actually." She rolled her eyes, once again.
"Have you ever had that feeling before?" He asked.
"No. Not until you started talking."
"Vis, you like me." He chuckled, a large grin on his face.
"No, I don't." She refused.
"Yes, you do." He nodded.
"You can't prove that."
"Your body is telling you, you do." He poked her stomach, and she slapped his hand away. "I get the same fluttering feeling." He kissed her in between his words.
"You do?" She asked, as she accepted his kisses.
"Of course I do."
"Enough talking." She pushed his shoulders, so that he fell, his back hitting the bed, as she remained on top of him, each of her hands landing beside his head.
He had no complaints at her surge of control, his own hands holding her waist, squeezing her, as their lips joined once more.
They continued to kiss, making out, on top of the bed, their hushed breaths and the movement of their lips against each other, filled the silence of the room.
Involuntarily, Lovisa had started to move her hips, in a circular motion, against Anakin, causing both of them to gasp.
"...Ani," She barely moved her face away from his, their foreheads pressed against each other.
"Yes, my love?" He gripped her silk nightgown, tightly, fisting the material, his eyes closed shut, as he focused on her.
"I... I want to go further, but I do not know how." Lovisa confessed, and her cheeks tinged pink, at her own innocence. "My mother, she never.... I only know this."
"Princess, do you not even know how babies are conceived?" Anakin asked, leaning on his elbows, as Lovisa sat up, still on top of him.
She shook her head.
"She said that it was something that my future husband and I would do together, once we are married." She began picking at her fingers, and Anakin took them in hers.
"I can't say I'm an expert... I've never done it myself, but... I could teach you what I know, if you would like."
"How do you know? I didn't think Jedi got up to such activities." She asked in an accusing tone.
"Growing up as a slave, and then an Padawan, you'd be shocked by the sort of conversations I happen to overhear." He smirked.
"How does it happen, it doesn't make sense to me, how can a man and woman produce another being, but it is only the woman that grows and births it. How is a baby even born?"
Anakin looked down, as he chuckled, awkwardly.
"Well, Princess, a baby is made up off of both a man and woman's genetics. And they do this, by having sex, look, uhm, I'll demonstrate it." He looked around the room. "Hang on." He moved Lovisa, so that she sat on the bed, as he got up.
She watched as he adjusted his trousers, moving to the bathroom, to grab whatever it was he was going to show her.
He came back with a bar of soap, and a cup.
Lovisa's brows furrowed in curiosity, as she looked at them.
Anakin laid back down on the bed, pulling Lovisa closer to him.
"Okay." He sighed, heavily. "So, you know how boys and girls have different... uh... parts?"
She shook her head.
"As in, we have different...?" She looked down, at herself, then his.
"Okay, this is gonna be more difficult than I assumed." He nodded at himself. "Okay, so, say this is what girls have." He held up the cup. "And this is what boys have." He held up the bar of soap. "It doesn't look exactly like this, but for the sake of explanation, it'll do."
"Are they all the same?"
"No... no, they come in different sizes, some are big, some small, but all that matters is that it gets the job done."
"What kind do you have?" Lovisa asked him, causing him to choke on his breath.
"Hmm?" He blinked, as he tried clearing his airways. "That's not important, right now, but what is, so uh, basically." He put the bar of soap into the cup. "It's kinda a uh... its pretty simple, I think, but, the guy put his, uh, parts, in the girls, and then next thing you know, nine months later, a baby comes out of the girls... parts."
"What?" Lovisa's eyes shot wide, her face turning into an expression of horror. "A baby comes out of there!? How? No, that sounds ghastly, no wonder women die, during this, who would ever even want that!?"
"Vis, calm- calm down." Anakin grabbed her arms, as she waved them about. "It's biology, your body is meant to do that, so it ... can do that, and most of the time, when making a child, its not that, that their focused on, its making it which is what they enjoy, I hear its rather pleasant."
"I'm sorry, Ani, but I think the moments passed, I'd rather like to go to sleep." Lovisa looked down, trying to erase her mind of the horrible images from their conversation.
"Princess, do not apologise, I wasn't expecting anything of the sort. It almost sounds like treason. Come on, lets lay down."
Anakin moved off the bed, untucking the duvet from the mattress, and waiting for Lovisa to climb under, before he joined her.
"You love me." Lovisa spoke, after a while.
They both laid on their sides, huddled close, their foreheads almost pressed together.
"I do." Anakin replied.
"Bad idea." She told him.
"Well, I didn't exactly plan to." He rolled his eyes.
"If we weren't who we are..."She began, choosing her words carefully. "Would we be happy together, do you think?"
"Of course we would." He said, with such promise, his hand moved to her leg, as it traveled up her skin, under her nightdress, ending up on her hip, he squeezed and then rubbed her waist, tenderly, as he imagined their life, away from politics.
"We'd get married" Anakin started. "You would wear this beautiful dress, and even though we don't have much money, we don't have royal money, you wanted a big fancy wedding, and when you saw that I delivered, oh, you just fell more and more in love with me." He smiled, teasingly, as she let out a giggle. "We live in a small cottage, surrounded by flowers and ivy, its secluded, but its not far from the town, we still need to go to our jobs, I'm a handy man, I'll do anything someone will pay me for, such as building, fixing and delivering things, but you're an artist, you sell your work, and make fortunes, it's where most of our income comes from, and people would travel all over, just to see your work. Eventually, you finally agree on having kids, but only the two, a boy and a girl, the boy, he's the spitting image of me, and you love to point it out, but funnily enough, you find that he's much like your sister, he has her heart, and kindness, and one of your favourite things that he does that reminds you of her, is how generous he is, which is nothing like his parents. But our girl, oh our girl is just a copy and paste, she's got your hair, and face, mouth and ears, your nose, but she's got my eyes, and my cleverness, but I guess she gets some of her witty jokes from you, but only sometimes, they're mostly mine."
"Hey." Lovisa swatted at him, but he caught her hand, kissing the palm of it.
"And every night, we sit around the table, as a family, and the kids tell us about their day, the boy will tell us about all the new friends he made, and the games he played, and how he had helped his teacher, which we're very happy to hear. But, then our girl begrudgingly tells us how she got into an argument, with someone, and we have to lie about the fact that she's right, because we don't want to encourage it, but it doesn't stop you from giving them both an extra spoonful of dessert, each."
"I love it." Lovisa admitted, she held back the tears that welled in her eyes. She kissed him, sweetly, then whispered against his lips "In another life, we'd be so happy."
"We'll be happy in this one, my love. I promise you." He looked at her, sternly. "We need to rest, I can only imagine the amount of trouble we'll be in, once we get back, tomorrow." He kissed her head, before cosying up, beside her, his hand was still holding her tightly to him, under her nightgown.
Lovisa had fallen asleep that night, in his arms, a huge smile on her face, as she let scenario’s of her and Anakin's different life, invade her dreams.

The two had returned in the early hours of the next day.
Lovisa hadn’t done anything but sit around and wait for them, she couldn’t even sleep, and refused, where Beru had offered her a bed.
The Princess’s chest ached, as she watched Anakin carry his mothers body, towards the farm, and without saying anything to his new family, he continued, into their home.
"Snips." Lovisa looked at her friend, who seemed deeply troubled, she was breathing heavy too, and her hands slightly shook. "What happened?"
"Lovey." Ahsoka grabbed hold of her wrist, and pulled her away from the three, so that they could talk in private.
"What happened back there?" Lovisa asked, once again, now that they were alone.
"Vis, it was horrible, no child should have to see their parent like that, like she was. She was still alive, when we got there, but, oh, god, it was bad, so, so bad, she had been suffering for so long, tied up to some rack. Then she… she died in his arms."
"Fuck." The princess cursed, completely taken back, as she clutched her chest.
"That's not all, after she died, something in him just sort of snapped, I couldn't break him out of it, I couldn't, I tried, Lovey, but I failed."
"What? What did he do?" Lovisa asked, growing even more worried.
"You should ask him, yourself, I can't repeat it." Ahsoka then walked away from her, shaking her head.
They had held a small funeral for Shmi Skywalker, Anakin had been the one to dig his mothers grave, and bury her beneath.
Lovisa and Ahsoka had stood by the side, as her family surrounded her.
"You were the love of my life." Cliegg spoke. "Kind, gentle, and generous, to anyone who needed it, no matter what situation was going on in your own life, you taught me to be a better person, and my biggest regret is not having enough time with you."
Anakin had requested some time alone with his mother, and they had all granted it to him.
But eventually, Lovisa had decided she’d given him enough space, and it was time to get answers.
She had found him in one of the farms workshops, he was stood at a work bench, messing around with some parts, fixing them, she realised.
"Life seems so much more simple, when you're fixing things." He said, his voice came out harsh, as he held back all his emotions, his throat was dry, as well, from the desert sand.
"Anakin..." Lovisa started. "What happened back there?"
Anakin kept his head down, as he continued to work on some sort of charm.
"Ani" She sighed, taking a step closer to him. "Whatever it was, Ahsoka seemed really troubled by it. Whatever happened, you can tell me. Please, please tell me."
Her heart beat loudly, as she waited for a reply, she slightly chewed on her lip.
"I told her not to come, but she didn't listen."
"I asked her to go with you." Lovisa replied.
"You shouldn't have done that." He glared at the girl.
"I just want to understand." She laid a hand on his shoulder.
He took a deep breath, before seeming to change his mind about calming down, turning on her, sharply.
"I killed them." He snapped at her. "I killed them all. Not just the men, but the women, and the children, too, I slaughtered them!" His voice rose, as did his anger, at the memory of last night. "They're like animals, and I slaughtered them like animals, every single one of them. I hate them!"
Lovisa gasped at what he had admitted, what he confessed to her.
"They tortured her, for a month, she suffered and I couldn't help her, they wouldn't let me go to her! They're jealous of me, the council and Obi-Wan, they're jealous of me, and they're holding me back, I could have prevented it, but they wouldn't allow it, made out that I was the weak one, but If I had done something, she'd still be alive. I'm stronger and more powerful, than them, and they can't stand it."
Lovisa had nothing to say to him, she couldn't offer anything, she stared at him in pure shock.
"She's dead, my mother is dead, and I didn't help her." His anger had changed into sadness, as tears pulled from his eyes. "She's gone, she's gone forever, and I'm never going to see her again." He wept.
In his anger, Anakin had stepped closer to the girl, and now, as he allowed his grief to consume him, he fell into her arms, dropping his head onto her shoulder, as he continued to cry for his mother.
Lovisa wrapped her arms around him, offering him comfort that he soar out from her.
Her fingers tangled in his hair, as she soothingly played with it.
"It's okay." She whispered to him. "It's okay, she's at peace now, she's not suffering anymore, it's okay."
Anakin hadn’t been able to pull himself together, for some time, and Lovisa had held him, her fingers rubbing his scalp, as she rubbed his back, saying soothing things, into his ear, until eventually he rose to his full height, and was able to carry on with life, as if any of it hadn’t happened.
The three had decided that they would need to return back to Naboo, and to the Lake district, seemingly as their chapter had been wrapped up here, and there was still a threat looming over the princess's head.
Lovisa sat between her two friends, no one would say anything, but the tension was thick.
"We need to stop, for the night." Ahsoka decided, suppressing a yawn.
"No, we'll keep going." Anakin refused, as he fought to keep his eyes open.
"We haven't slept in almost four days, Skywalker, you've drifted asleep enough times to know we should stop, and Lovisa can barely keep her head up."
"She's fine, she can sleep if she wants to." Anakin rolled his eyes, as he kept the arm that the girl was currently leaning on, still.
"We're stopping." Ahsoka pushed.
"It's more important that we get back."
"We're stopping?" Lovisa shot up, seeming alert, at the prospect of sleeping in an actual bed.
"Yes."
"No."
"Look, there's an Inn, over there, at least until sunrise, we all could use it, even the pups."
"Yes, we'll stay at the Inn, for the remaining of the night, it will do us all some good." Lovisa decided.
"Vis-" Anakin went to refuse, but when he looked at her, he knew he couldn't. "Fine, but as soon as the sun is up, we're gone."
Upon seeing the three teenagers, the innkeeper, a plump elderly woman, had given them two bedrooms, one for the boy, and one for the two girls, as she had told them that it was improper for the three of them to share, and so they had no choice but to accept the keys, as they hid their puppies under their cloaks.
"Did you talk to Skywalker?" Ahsoka had asked, as the two laid in bed, together, facing one another.
"I did." Lovisa admitted.
"And?"
"He told me what happened." She sighed.
"What, and that's all you have to say about it?"
"What else am I supposed to say, Snips?"
"Lovey, he killed an whole village of people, I watched him do it, there were innocent people there."
"You didn't seem to have a problem with it, when he dealt with those men in the forest."
"Because it was a completely different situation. They were trying to kidnap you, and they weren't children."
"They killed his mother, kept her alive enough to torture her, and then she died in his arms. And Cliegg said himself that they were barely human, but monsters."
"But the whole village? Not all of them could be."
"I trust Anakin, he did what he thought was right."
"He did it for revenge." Ahsoka cut her off.
"Were they really innocent if they were there, they would have just grown up to their surroundings, done it to others, others who are innocent, no one deserves to go through what Shmi did, it could happen to you, or me, or anyone. Anakin would never kill someone who didn't deserve it."
"He's a Jedi, Lovisa, it's against the code to kill an unarmed person."
"He will never do something like this, again, I promise you, Ahsoka, he's a good person. He's the chosen one."
"Look, I like him, Lovey, I do, but can we really trust him?"
"We can, he would never do anything to harm us, God picked him, for a reason, and he wouldn't make a mistake, like that. We have to keep this to ourselves, and pretend it never happened, he did the world an favour by getting rid of such evil creatures."
"You really believe that?"
"I do."
"Then I guess I can convince myself of that, too." Ahsoka looked down, as she chewed on her lip, deep in thought.
Lovisa sat up, lifting the duvet off of her.
"I should go check on him." She thought out loud.
Ahsoka didn't reply, instead, turning around on her other side, her back facing the princess.
Lovisa took this as a good response, to leave.
She stood in front of the door to his room, for the night, in just a pale blue silk night gown, thinking about what she was going to say to him.
She forced herself to knock on the wood, before thinking about it, and as she begun to regret her decision, and call herself all sorts of insults, it opened.
There he stood, he wasn't wearing an item of clothing on his top half, and was in his black trousers, like always.
Lovisa felt her cheeks grow red, as she pried her eyes off of his chest, and looked up at his face, his hair hung in front of his eyes, as he looked down at her, leaning his forearm on the door frame.
"Vis?" He asked.
She blinked. Twice.
"Anakin." She said, she couldn't think of anything else.
"What are you doing, here?" he studied her. “Awake.”
Lovisa swallowed, before taking a breath, then remembered why she did come here.
"I wanted to check up on you, make sure you're doing okay." She told him. "Are you doing okay?"
He looked past her, not having an answer.
"I am not sure." He replied, honestly.
"Would it help if I kept you company?" Lovisa found herself saying.
"You wanna come in?" He furrowed his brows.
"If you'll allow me."
He nodded, his eyes on the floor.
"I'd like that." Anakin looked at her, as his eyes swam with emotion.
She smiled at him, a kind, comforting smile.

They had spent the journey in quiet, knowing that Anakin's mind wasn't focused on making small talk, and Lovisa, nor Ahsoka had any idea what to say, that wouldn't anger or irritate the boy, as he focused on his solo mission.
But eventually, they had made it to the location Watto had given Anakin.
It was a farm, in the middle of the desert place, secluded.
Two people had emerged from the hut, their home.
A man and a woman.
Anakin had pulled the carriage to a halt, and was quick to jump out, walking towards the two people.
"Hello." The man greeted him, warily, as the woman held his arm.
"My name's Anakin Skywalker, I was told that my mother would be here." He shared.
"Ah, you're Shmi's boy, we've heard so much about you, we figured you’d show up at some point in the future. I'm Owen, your mother married my father, so that makes us brothers, I guess. This is my girlfriend, Beru."
"Uhm, this is Ahsoka Tano, and this is...." Anakin hesitated, he wasn't sure if he should reveal who Lovisa was, or lie, to his new family.
"I'm Lovisa Amidala, it's a pleasure to meet you both."
"Lovisa Amidala, as in the Princess?" Beru gasped.
"Yes, but I fear, that is no where near as important, right now, we're here to find Anakin's mother." She tried steering the attention away from her.
"Right, uhm, you all will want to come in, this isn't going to be an easy conversation." Owen said, his tone sounded sorrowful, and Lovisa felt as Anakin grabbed her hand, squeezing it, and she could tell his own heart was lurching, for his mother.
"I'll make tea." Beru said, as she moved around her boyfriend, to enter their home.
"I'll grab the pups, and our bags." Ahsoka told the two, knowing Anakin needed Lovisa's comfort, right now, and that he wouldn't be letting go of her anytime soon.
"Thank you." The princess smiled kindly.
"Your highness, I must apologise for the state of the place, we've never had someone of your royal status come here, before, or anyone of importance, really."
"It's quite alright, your home looks lovely, Owen." Lovisa told him, as she led Anakin towards the hut, both her hands holding his own, as well as his arm, as he seemed to be in some panicked daze.
"May I ask what it is, that you are doing here?"
"Well, Anakin is my Jedi, for the moment, I've been under his protection, and so when he told me that he was coming here, I tagged along."
"So... the two of you, you're not?" He looked at their joined hands.
"I think we should really put all our attention on to the matter at hand, I'm only here for Anakin, as a friend." As a lover, his partner, she found herself wanting to say, instead.
"Dad. We have guests." Owen called into the home.
"So Beru has told me." Owen walked into what looked like their kitchen, as the two stood behind.
A old looking man, was sat at the table, as Beru filled his cup with steaming tea.
"My Step-son, and the princess, I must say, an odd pair, on this day."
Lovisa felt Anakin flinch, at the title, the man had given him, never in his life has he had a father, and never has he had a man call him "son".
"I'm Cliegg, Cliegg Lars, your mothers husband." He spoke to Anakin. "I would stand, your highness, but as you can see, I am not really able to." He gestured to his bandaged leg, that stopped at the knee.
"That is quite alright." Lovisa smiled kindly, as she pulled Anakin, to sit next to her, at the table, and then she let go of him, so that she could take off her cloak, before quickly sitting down, and holding his hands, once again.
It slightly frightened her, how much he was depending on her, so quickly, especially during an emotional moment, like right now, but she pushed that thought to the back of her mind.
"My mother, where is she?" Anakin spoke, staring at the man, with urgency.
"Son, I'm afraid she was taken, by the tuskan raiders, a vile group of monster like men, they're brutal, vicious, and show no mercy, and they take what they want." He had said, bluntly. "Your mother had gone out early, like she did every day, to pick fruit, I should've never let her go alone, but she always insisted, but when she never came back, a whole group of us had gone out to look for her. But there was no luck, I'd still be out there now, if it wasn't for my leg." He sounded remorseful, but angry, at himself, and it was clear to see that he had been struggling to grieve the loss of his wife. "Not like it would even matter anymore. I don't wanna give up on her, but she's been gone a month. There's little hope she's lasted this long. "
Anakin stood up, quickly, nearly knocking the chair back, and all eyes turned on him.
"Where are you going?" Owen asked.
"To find my mother." He answered.
"Your mothers dead, son. Accept it." Cliegg told him.
But he couldn't.
Anakin had been offered an horse, by Owen, and had gladly accepted it.
Lovisa left the hut, spotting the boy, as he stood, staring at the horizon, preparing himself to leave, as the stars started to come out.
"You can't come with me." He said, when she walked close enough for him to sense her presence. "It won't be safe, and I can't stand the thought of something happening to you, too." His voice wobbled, as he spoke so openly. "These are good people, you'll be safe here."
Lovisa stood on her tiptoes, wrapping her arms around his neck, and he was quick to wrap his around her body, dropping his head on her shoulder.
She said nothing as she held him, tightly, but then, she eventually pulled away, but not too far.
"I'll be here, waiting for you." She whispered to him, then she leaned closer, giving him a sweet, gentle kiss.
"Vis." He mumbled, barely audible.
"Bring her home, Ani." She stopped him, not wanting to know what he was going to say.
She then stepped back, and turned, to return to the hut.
Ahsoka, who had watched their whole encounter, pushed herself off the wall, she had been leaning on.
"Let's go, Skyguy." She told him.
"Soka, you're not coming, either." Anakin snapped, his gaze turning steely, as he looked at her, suddenly angry at her appearance, and what he knew she had just seen.
"You can't go by yourself."
"Yes, I can."
"Fine, but you're not."
She walked away from him, and towards the horses, where he had noticed there were now two.
"Where'd you get them from?" Anakin asked, staring at the twin swords, strapped to her back.
"Ask Lovey. She's taking it all seriously."
"About you being force sensitive?"
"Uh huh." She hopped onto her horse, as Anakin climbed onto his own.
"Ahsoka, go back. I don't want you tagging along."
"I can't, I promised Lovey I'd look out for you, and I know what you're going through right now, you shouldn't be alone, when you find her." She empathised on the word "When" because there were no ifs about it, but it was the state they'd find her, is what had the girl concerned for the boy.
"What would you even know or understand about what I'm going through?" He glared at her, as he snapped.
"My mother was Lovey's handmaiden, she practically raised us both together, until she died, a few years ago, and I took over her role." Ahsoka replied, bitterly, at the boy, for being so bluntly ignorant. "Time's ticking. We should go." She then clicked her teeth, and encouraged her horse to go.
Anakin felt bad, about what he had said, he let out a heavy sigh, before following after the girl.

So many thoughts were whirring in Lovisa's head, not just about what she had witnessed Anakin do to those two men, but how Ahsoka had barely reacted.
She then thought’s about other times she had seen Ahsoka act differently, or so to speak, similar to Anakin, but also how she somehow always knew there was something going on, like she just sensed it, and she was very in tune with her intuition.
"Anakin, can I ask you something?" Lovisa decided she'd get to the bottom of it.
"Of course, what is it?" He asked, glancing at her.
You know how you just know things, as in, if somethings going on you can just sense it, or you can feel presence."
"Yes, with the force, that's what allows me to." He said, slowly, letting her continue her train of thought.
"Right, is there a chance that anyone could be like you, like a Jedi, but they're not one?"
"I guess, I wasn't discovered until I was nine, and that's considered a little too old, most younglings were found as new borns, or toddlers."
"So one could slip under the radar, but it's not common?" She continued with her questions.
"Yes, I suppose, why do you ask?"
"Ahsoka, tell me again how you knew we were leaving." She turned to face the girl. "Truthfully."
"I- uh, I don't know, I just- I am not sure how to explain it, it was like something in my head telling me to leave my room, that something was happening that I shouldn't miss, and this feeling came over me, it felt, familiar."
"And have you felt it before?" Lovisa urged her to go on.
"Yes, Its normally whenever we're apart, I know when you're near, before you appear."
"And those .. people, back there, you knew they were there, before we even saw them."
"Whats this got to do with anything, Love?" Ahsoka sighed.
"Christ, have mercy on me." Lovisa prayed to herself. "Nothing at all, Snips, it all means nothing."
"She thinks you're force sensitive, like me." Anakin stepped in, sensing the girls anger flaring.
"That's impossible." Ahsoka laughed.
"Well, I'm not turning the idea down." Anakin shrugged.
"What? As in you agree with her?"
"Yeah." He looked between the road, and her, "Can't know for sure, but it makes sense, and I can feel it."
"So you're not just agreeing, because you're hopelessly in love wit-"
"All I'm saying" He cut her off. "Is that, it's a theory I'm not rejecting, but I wouldn't be able to know for definite."
"This is so unfair!" Lovisa huffed, as she held Threepio to her chest. "Why do the both of you get this, and I have nothing. I'm just... normal."
"Lovisa, you're a princess, and the future queen of Naboo." Ahsoka reminded.
"oh, God, I forgot about that, I thought it was a terrible dream." She sighed. "...Sorry." Lovisa then sent Anakin a meek half smile. "But it's beside the point, I was just... I don't know, born into that status, but anything could've happened, and I'd just be... some peasant, a farmer, I could even be one of the people working in the palace, nothing about me is special but who my parents are, but you guys-"
"I'm not like him." Ahsoka interrupted. "Thankfully."
"You guys, are different, you're strong, and you have intuition, or whatever it is, I wish I was like that, wish I wasn't so useless to myself."
"You're not useless." Anakin told her.
"I've had people looking over and taking care of me, since before I could walk, I had a royal guard, who was supposed to follow my every move, my whole life, I can barely dress myself"
"You got dressed all by yourself, in this." Ahsoka touched the fabric of her dress.
"Thanks." She smiled, but it was forced.
"You're the only person who's ever bested me in a spar."
"What?" Lovisa scoffed, with a slight eye roll.
"I'm being serious." He pressed.
"Ani, we were ten, trust me, I am not gonna fight you now."
"But what if I want you to."
"I'd lose."
"I wouldn't let you."
"So you'd let me win?"
"That's not what I said."
They looked at each other, Lovisa bit her cheek, as the corner of her mouth lifted, as she stared into his eyes, that were on her, not bothering to look away or even blink.
"Ahem, hrrm." Ahsoka cleared her throat. "I'm still here, by the way."
Anakin shook his head, as he looked back at the road, before looking around the area.
"We're nearly there." He said, encouraging the horses to pick up the pace.
"I've never been this far away from the kingdom, before." Lovisa shared, giving him a small smile.
"You should feel glad about that, Princess, I fear that my home has nothing grand, to offer you." She could tell by his voice, that he was embarrassed of Tatooine, that he thought this place, and maybe himself, was beneath her, and she hated that he felt this way.
"It gave me you, I'm quite grateful for that." She stated.
Then she had thought about what she had said, and slightly shifted, so that she was facing Ahsoka, more than straight ahead, as she fought the urge to shiver away the embarrassment of speaking her thoughts.
"Way to play it cool." The girl teased.
"Shut up." She hissed.
Eventually, Anakin had stopped the carriage, when they had entered the busy town centre, tying up the horses to a post, before helping the two women out of the cart, he then took their satchels, to hold on each shoulder.
"Stay close, no running off, I gotta find someone." He told them, passing Artoo, to the princess, so that she was carrying both puppies in her arms.
"Yeah, yeah." Lovisa nodded, distractedly, as she looked around.
"Hey, no, promise me you won't leave my sight, this isn't the kingdom, alright." He pointed a finger at her, his gaze bored into her.
"I promise, Ani, I won't run off like an insolent child."
"You, too." He turned on Ahsoka.
"What, I'm innocent." She held up a hand, Seven in her other hand.
"Ahsoka."
"Fine, fine, we won't sneak off." She rolled her eyes.
"Good. I still have the cuffs on me, don't make me use them." He turned on the princess, again.
"Are we allowed to look around the market? Or does Ser Anakin forbid it?" Lovisa asked.
"Yes, you can look around, just stay in this area." He circled around with his finger.
"Thank you." She reached up to kiss his cheek, before juggling the two puppies in one hand, and grabbing a hold of Ahsoka's arm, pulling her towards the various stalls, and people.
"Total buzzkill." Ahsoka rolled her eyes, as their arms linked at the elbow.
"He hasn't been here in a decade, give him a break, he might be nervous bringing us here."
"Oh, oh wow, this is a first." Ahsoka's eyes widened, as she looked at her friend.
"What?"
"You, you're actually giving someone the benefit of the doubt, are you feeling okay, Lovey, feeling under the weather?" She raised the inside of her wrist to the princesses forehead.
"I'm completely fine, come off of it." Lovisa slapped Ahsoka's hand away. "Though, it is rather hot here, I'm saddened, that I forgot my fan."
"I didn't." Ahsoka reached into her satchel, handing the fan to the girl, and taking Anakin's puppy, to free up her arms a bit more.
"This is why I love you."
"Oh, how charming."
"Come, I wish to find something for our new comrades. So that they do not have to be carried around, everywhere."
"Excellent. Seven seems to not appreciate it much."
"Stop holding him high up, then."
"Well if he just did as I said, I wouldn't have to."
"He's a pup, he doesn't know any better."
"You're doing it again."
"Sorry." Lovisa sighed.
The two looked around the stalls, until eventually they had found what they were looking for.
"Hello, sir." Lovisa greeted the salesman, who's store appeared to be for domestic pets. "As you can see, we are with three dogs, and are hoping you can equip them properly." She smiled, politely.
"Yes, of course, I can help you, you'll be wanting these." He reached under his table, and pulled a box onto his stand. "Dog collars." He said, looking at the three, before rummaging through his collection, I make them all myself." He shared, then he set three out in front of them.
One was a red looking leather, with a clasp, the other was a shiny yellow metal, and the other was a plain denim looking one.
"Yes, these will be perfect." Lovisa grinned, as she picked up the yellow one, to put around Threepio, as he wiggled his head about, but eventually, she had managed it.
Ahsoka placed the red one around Sevens neck, and then Lovisa put the last one, the blue denim, on Artoo.
"You'll be wanting leashes to go with them." The salesman added, as he handed the girls three ropes, "And I made them special, see, they have hooks, so you can attach them straight to the collar, instead of messing about, tying and untying all the time. Handy, see?"
"Yes, that is genius." Lovisa agreed, as she clipped two of the ropes, to the two dogs, holding tightly to the other end, as they sniffed around the floor, investigating the place, for the first time.
"That'll be all?" The salesman asked.
"Yes, amazing, thank you, kindly." Lovisa grabbed out her pouch, as she handed over more than enough coins, dropping them into his expecting palm, and he was quick to count them.
Without mentioning the extra coins, he simply nodded at them, and hid the money away, and that was their cue to walk away.
The two girls, called at the three puppies, letting them know their names, but also steering them to follow, as they continued to look at what the different stalls were selling.
"A blacksmiths." Lovisa noticed, her voice came out in a gasp. "Come on."
"Why? Why do we need to go to that one?" Ahsoka asked.
"For you, silly." Lovisa smiled at her friend. "If you are to be a Jedi, then you shall require an weapon."
"Lovey, do not be ridiculous, I am not to be a Jedi." Ahsoka scoffed.
"Yes you are, I will personally see to it." Lovisa spared her a serious glare, as she continued to march towards the blacksmiths.
"Hello." She greeted the man, with a certain type of authority, in her tone, so that he would know she means business. "I see that you make weapons, and I am hoping that you would be able to find a weapon suitable for my friend, here, and I will pay generously."
"Fair enough." He nodded, taking a hard look at the girl, studying her. "You fight?"
"No-"
"She will, though, she is about to begin training." Lovisa butted in.
"Interesting." The man rubbed his chin. "I have an idea." He held his palm up to the girls as he walked away, further into his space.
They stood there, as cluttering and clanging filled the air.
Then, he emerged once more.
"Here, these look like they could aid you." The man said, as he stood in front of Ahsoka, holding out two weapons in his hands.
Twin swords.
They were thin blades, and looked lightweight, which would come in handy for a girl of Ahsoka's size, instead of the type of sword Anakin and other Jedi carried around.
They were shiny, too, beautiful.
"Wow." Ahsoka let out a harsh sigh, as she stared at them, longingly.
"You'll need a sheath, to go with them." The blacksmith decided, as he turned back to his shop.
"Lovey, I can't accept this, this is just too kind." Ahsoka's brows furrowed, as she looked at the girl. "Your family have already and always done so much for me."
"Snips, you are like a sister to me, and I haven't done nearly enough, for what you have done for me, please, take this, because I will be purchasing it regardless. You are my best friend, and I do not wish for you to waste your life away, waiting on me, that is not what I want for us, I want you to stand beside me, not behind me, fixing my hair, or my dress." Lovisa told her. "No matter our paths, we shall always be equal with one another. I shall be queen, and you shall be a fierce Jedi Knight." She whispered the last sentence.
The two stared at each other, with so much love, before the Blacksmith interrupted, placing the two swords in the sheaths.
Lovisa handed the man plenty of coins, and the two bid him a good day, as they tugged their pets along.
They looked around, trying to spot Anakin, and eventually they saw him.
He had been talking to a short round man, with a large nose.
"Should we join him?" Lovisa asked, when he had looked over, to nod at the two girls.
"No, he's found out what he needs to." Ahsoka replied, and she had been right.
Anakin eventually left the little man, and marched towards them.
"I found out where she is." He greeted. "What did you do to Artoo?"
"We dressed them." Lovisa smiled, as she handed Anakin's puppy's rope, to him.
"Who were you talking to?" Ahsoka investigated.
"Waddo my old... master." He adverted his eyes from Lovisa, as he quickly turned around, heading back for the carriage.
Lovisa and Ahsoka shared a look, before following behind.
He had said Master, Lovisa was sure that she definitely did not hear him wrong, but what would he mean, Obi-Wan was his master, and that man looked like no Jedi.
"Ani-" Lovisa started.
"Uhm, I found out that she got married, she made it out, so that's good, but it's a little far from here." He shared, quick to avoid whatever Lovisa had to say.
"Yes, that's good, so she should be okay, maybe she's happy." Lovisa told him, as she grabbed for his hand, intertwining their fingers. "Have faith, Anakin."
He looked at her, carefully, before nodding slightly, wanting to believe what she was telling him.

The three had been travelling well into the night.
Anakin was the one to steer the horses, claiming that he'd been doing it since he was a child, his puppy sat in his lap, the whole time, he hadn't even bothered to ask either of the girls to carry him.
"What are we gonna call them?" Ahsoka asked, holding her puppy up in one hand, to stop him from chewing on her hair.
"Artoo." Anakin answered, without hesitation.
"Oh, have you just had that name picked out for a while?" Lovisa looked at him, confused, and so did Ahsoka.
"No, he just looks like an Artoo." He shrugged. "He looks like a Threepio, and he looks like a Seven" Anakin placed his right hand on each of the other puppies heads, as he named them.
“Two, three, seven…” Ahsoka mumbled to herself.
"Guess that's figured out, then" Lovisa looked at Threepio. "Guess I finally gave my parents a heir" She joked "Prince Threepio."
"A dog as the next king?" Anakin chuckled.
"Yes, he's my son, and it's my next of kin that gets the throne after me."
"So... Lovey... anything new going on with you?" Ahsoka asked, with an obvious hinting tone.
"Uhm, no, I don't think so." She refused to look at her friend. "Nothing that you don't already know."
"Are you sure?" Ahsoka asked. "How's the dating life going?"
"Snips, how is yours going?" She side eyed her, catching on to what she was getting at.
"Nothing much to share, so tell me again how you knew Anakin was leaving?"
"The same as you, I suppose." She looked at the sky, feigning boredom.
"Liar."
"Ahsoka, you're distracting, I'm trying to focus." Anakin snapped.
"Look, if you guys are sneaking around, which I know you are-"
"We're not!" They both cut her off.
"I'm not a fool, but, as I was saying, I don't care if you are, happy for you, but don't leave me out of the loop, you need at least one alliance, because Lovey, you would have been locked up in a tower, with no way of leaving, by your parents, if it weren't for me."
"I wish to not talk about this anymore, Anakin, how much longer, is left?"
"Day and a half, M'lady." He answered.
"Very well." She sighed.
"Eurgh!" Ahsoka shrieked. "Seven just pissed on me!"
Anakin couldn't help himself but to burst out laughing, and when he turned to look at her, his stomach hurt by how much he laughed, which started Lovisa off, as she found delight in her friends misery, as well.
"Stop laughing, it's not funny!" The girl scowled, as she held Seven high in the air, again.
"I think that might be karma." Anakin wiped at his eyes.
"For what?!" She snapped at him.
"For invading our private business." Lovisa answered.
"Oh, so there is private business between you two?" She wiggled her eyebrows.
"No." Both their smiles had dropped.
"I have clean clothes, in my bag, you need to stop." Ahsoka sighed, grabbing her satchel from the back of the carriage.
"Soka, we're in the middle of nowhere." Anakin scrunched his nose up.
"Exactly, no one will see me." She shrugged.
"Fine" he rolled his eyes, steering the horses to a stop, and when given the chance, Ahsoka hopped out of the Carriage.
"Lovey." She nodded her head, for the princess to follow, which she did, getting up to also jump out.
"Woah, woah, woah, where are you going?" He asked Lovisa.
"With Snips." She answered, as if it was obvious. "She can't go off by herself."
"And you're not supposed to leave my side, something could happen."
"We're perfectly able to handle ourselves, skyguy." Ahsoka told him.
"Yeah, we'll be fine."
"Don't go too far!" He called after them, as they headed into the trees.
"He is definitely worse than Colo." Ahsoka commented.
"Least Colo would encourage us to go and venture places." Lovisa agreed. "He'd follow us the whole time, but he would still let us."
"Tell me what's going on between you two." Ahsoka pressed.
"Snips." She sighed.
"Come on, we're supposed to be best friends, who am I gonna even tell?"
"If you already know somethings going on, why are you so insistent on asking?"
"Because I want you to tell me, with your own words, we've told each other everything since we could talk."
"Fine, we kissed." She finally admitted. "A lot."
"And?" Ahsoka pushed, as she handed her cloak to Lovisa to hold, so she could take off her dress.
"He... he wants a relationship."
"But you don't?" She furrowed her brows.
"It's not that." Lovisa sighed, as she leaned against a tree. "I'm being realistic, but he refuses to listen, thinks we have a chance, regardless, even if I'm to be queen, he doesn't think it matters, that we can just keep this to ourselves, for the rest of our lives."
"How are you supposed to do that?"
"Exactly! Thank you. I have expectations, that he can't meet, I can't just appear single my entire life, and bare no children, the people would talk, my throne would be at risk, so many things are against us."
"So why not just end it?" Ahsoka asked, as she changed into a brown skirt, with a matching tube top.
"Because, whenever I try to make him see reason... he just says the most beautiful things, and I can't fight temptation, I never have been able to, my chest feels on fire every time he's around, and... I don't know." Her fingers were in her hair, tugging at her roots. "How on earth am I supposed to just, get over him and move on to someone else, knowing I will never be happy with them, when I experienced having him in my life."
"I didn't realise it was this bad." Ahsoka side eyed her.
"What do you mean?"
"You fell hard, you're nearly in love with him."
"Don't say that, Snips!" She said with frustration, dropping her face into her hands. "There's no coming back if those words are out in the air."
"I think it's too late." She said, with pity, disposing her dirty dress in a bush. "Compose yourself, we gotta go back, before he comes looking for us."
"Right." Lovisa lifted her head, fanning her blushed cheeks, as they turned back.
Their arms were linked, as they walked through the trees.
"Wait." Ahsoka stopped walking, halting Lovisa, as well.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Someone's here."
"It's probably just Anakin." Lovisa shrugged, about to continue walking, but Ahsoka pulled her back.
"No, it's not him, I can tell."
That's when two figures walked out, in front of them.
They were both male, and although they were both taller than the girls, one was a whole foot taller than the other, they both looked dirty, like they hadn't bathed in a while, and their hair looked outgrown, even their facial hair was in need of a groom.
"What are two young ladies doing out here, all by yourselves?" The shorter one hollered at them. "You should know this ain't a place for the likes of you."
"We're just on our way." Ahsoka answered, having a tight grip on Lovisa. "Our friend isn't too far."
"You seem pretty jumpy." The man disregarded Ahsoka, eying Lovisa, who tried with her might to hide her fear, but it was rather hard. "You ain't from around here, are ya?"
"Look, our friend's gonna come looking for us, and you don't wanna be around when he gets here." Ahsoka moved so that Lovisa was stood behind her.
"What, you do all her talking?" The man finally paid attention to the girl.
"Leave her alone, alright, we ain't troubling you, so move on."
"Let's just take the both of 'em and get out of here." The taller, brutish one, said.
"You two are from the kingdom, ain't ya?" The short one smirked, still staring at Lovisa, examining her clothes, especially her cloak.
"I recognise her, Jaa, yeah, she's from the kingdom, alright."
Lovisa bowed her head, trying to hide her face, begging they wouldn't recognise.
"Shit, Jaa, that's the lil princess." The taller one finally realised.
"Come off it, Lon." Jaa scoffed.
"Nah, honest, that's the princess, swear it on my ma. I would never forget a face like that."
Lovisa's heart raced, begging that Anakin was near.
"You really the princess?" Jaa asked.
"She's not, alright, we're not from the kingdom." Ahsoka told him.
"Well, my friend here claims she is. He swore it on his ma."
"Then he must not treasure his ma, cause she ain't."
"Then why ain't she talking, eh? I hear the princess loves running her mouth."
"I can talk, I just don't wanna talk to the likes of you two." Lovisa deepened her voice, trying her hardest to shake her posh accent, from living in the palace.
"You are the princess!" Lon gasped.
"Lon, grab her, we can get rid of her servant, this ones gonna make us a pretty penny." Jaa grinned.
The large man stepped forward, yanking Ahsoka by the arm, and throwing her to the ground, roughly, so that he could grab Lovisa.
"Get off her!" Ahsoka shouted, as she got to her feet quickly, finding a branch on the ground, and whacked the man with it.
"Cunt!" Lon shouted, as he tried to stop Lovisa from wiggling out of his grip, and stopping Ahsoka from attacking him.
They had both missed Jaa grabbing a switch blade from his pocket.
Lovisa bit hard on her captors arm, causing the man to drop her to the ground.
"Argh." He screamed, seeing that she had drawn blood.
Jaa had grabbed the princess by her hair, yanking her up, as he held the switchblade to her throat, daring her to try anything.
"What you gonna do now? Huh?" He asked, staring down Ahsoka, who had paused, seeing that her friend was in danger, once more. "Drop it."
She did as he told, throwing the branch away from her, raising her hands above her head.
"You hurt her, and you're dead." She spat.
He laughed at her, before sniffing Lovisa's hair, as she cringed away from him.
"What are you gonna do? Find another twig to hit us with? Lon, we'll take her, I like 'em feisty."
Lon went to take a step forward, toward the girl, but as he did, a sword slashed from his shoulder, to his opposite hip, slicing through his abdomen.
He fell to the ground with two loud thuds, blood spilling from his torn body, soaking the ground in blood, and with him on the ground, the attacker was revealed.
Anakin Skywalker stood there, with his sword raised, assessing the scene, his eyes were sharp, and the muscles in his jaw was tense, as he laid his eyes on the princess, and the man with the blade to her throat.
"S-stay back!" Jaa, shouted at him, as he pulled Lovisa with him, creating distance between them and the Jedi.
"You let her go, now, and I'll spare your life." Anakin bargained.
"How do I know you ain't gonna do what you did to my friend?" Jaa's voice shook with fear, as he spoke.
"The longer you hold that little knife to her throat, the slimmer my mercy is." He replied, with boredom.
Jaa, dropped his hands instantly, shoving the princess, in order to bolt it, but Ahsoka was quicker, tripping him, and letting him fall on his face.
"Are you okay?" Anakin helped Lovisa up, from the ground.
"Yeah- yes, I'm okay." She nodded, looking between him and the two other men.
Anakin held her jaw, lifting her face, as he checked her for injuries, that's when he noticed a tiny nick on her throat, from where Jaa had held the knife to it.
"He hurt you." The boy glared, as he gently swiped at it.
"What? It doesn't hurt." She shook her head.
"Doesn't matter." He decided, stepping away from her, and to the man who had tried to scramble away, but Ahsoka dug her boot into his chest.
He twirled his sword in his hand, effortlessly, as he grabbed the man by his grimy hair, forcing him to his knees.
"This is what's gonna happen, you're gonna apologise to these fine ladies, sincerely, and beg for their forgiveness, then I'm going to split you open, from your mouth, to your navel, you understand that?" He asked, casually.
The man blubbered and cried, begging Anakin to let him go, but this only seemed to piss him off more, tightening his grip on his hair.
"I didn't ask you to cry like a bitch, I asked if you understood." Anakin mocked.
He nodded his head profusely.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, please, have mercy on me, don't let him kill me, please, please!" He cried, repeatedly, his hands clenched together, looking as though he were talking to God. "Don't let him kill me, please, I'm a good man, I- I am a good man, I don't deserve this."
Ahsoka spat at him.
"Have fun in hell." She said, nodding at Anakin, whilst Lovisa watched, unmoving, not being able to even blink, as Anakin forced his sword into the man's open mouth, and slashed it down, just like he said he would.
He let go of the man, letting the two sides of his body drop to the ground, and just like his friend, his own blood spilled out, around him.
"Let's go." Anakin sighed, flicking his sword, causing blood to splatter, then used an handkerchief to wipe it clean, before placing it back in its scabbard.
He placed his open palm on the small of Lovisa's back, guiding her back towards the carriage, as she stared open wide, attempting to process the brutality she had just witnessed the man she had feelings for, do, simply for leaving the tiniest cut on her.
She hadn't even noticed it, but now, it burned, as she ran her finger over it, knowing that a life was taken, for it.
She tried telling herself that they were bad people, they were foul, and that they had disgusting plans for her, and her friend, but never once in her life, had she watched life leave a man's eyes.
What Anakin had done, went against everything the Jedi stood for, the Jedi did not kill, and they did not strike first, ever, and not one of the men had a weapon on him, as he struck them down.

Lovisa had woken, what felt like only a few hours later, to Anakin thrashing around, in his sleep, his body was sweating, and tears fell from his eyes, as he called out to someone, his Mother.
"Mom! No, Mom, no!"
"Ani? Ani, wake up!" Lovisa gently shook him, as she lightly tapped his cheek. "Anakin, it's just a dream, wake up."
He sat up, abruptly, trying to catch his breath, as he looked around, in confusion.
"Anakin?" She asked, after leaning back, when he sprung up. "Are you okay? What happened?"
"My mom, she's in danger." He said, as he threw the duvet off of him.
"Ani, slow down, it was just a bad dream, talk to me." She tried stopping him, as he got out of the bed.
"No, I- I'm sorry princess, I have to go, she needs me, and I need to help her, I'm sorry."
"Where are you going?" She got out of the bed, after him, throwing her robe back on, as he rushed to get his own clothes back on.
"Back to Tatooine, I have to make sure she's safe."
"I'll go with you." Lovisa suggested.
"No, you can't, you need to stay here, where it's safe."
"No, I need to stay with you, you'll keep me safe, but I won't let you go alone."
"Vis, please."
"I'm coming with you, Ani." She said, leaving no room for argument.
He thought about it, before letting out a heavy sigh.
"Fine." He grumbled. "Meet me downstairs."
Anakin left, and Lovisa scrambled to get ready, slightly afraid that he might leave without her, but she knew she had to go with him, he was leaving his post to go find his mother, after a bad dream, nothing rational can come out from that.
She picked out a simple but pretty darkish blue dress, to wear, paired with an dark cloak with floral embroidery, and her most comfortable heels.
Lovisa then found a satchel, throwing in some more light dresses, as well as her hairbrush, a small pouch full of coins, and a book, she wasn't sure what else she would need, but if need be, hopefully there would be somewhere she could get it, if she somehow forgot. It was the middle of the night, and she had no idea how far, far away actually was, and she knew Tatooine was far, no one could really blame her packing skills at a moment like this, normally she had others do it for her.
As quietly as possible, when she was finally ready, she raced down to the entrance hall of the castle, where Anakin was whisper arguing with Ahsoka.
"What's going on?" She whispered to them.
"I knew you were going!" Ahsoka whisper shouted, pointing an accusing finger at her.
"Ahsoka's trying to come with us." Anakin folded his arms across his chest, looking visibly frustrated.
"How did you know we were going somewhere?" Lovisa asked.
"Uh, I could hear him scuttling about, and I could sense it, I knew something was suspicious." She answered.
"Well, you can't come." Lovisa told her, with some authority in her tone.
"Yeah, stay here." Anakin added.
"It's my job to be there for the princess's every need." Ahsoka's face was blank, not bothered by their words. "'Sides, good luck getting very far, I'll snitch as soon as you leave those doors, and I'm not ashamed to, either."
Anakin let out a sharp huff of anger, as he looked away.
"Fine, you can come, but... be cool about it, okay, we're going to Anakin's home, Tatooine." Lovisa told her.
"Cool, we should get a move on, then." She turned, her own satchel swaying with her movement, as she walked out the large doors.
The boy pressed his finger to his temple, calming his nerves, how'd he get stuck babysitting, once again?
Lovisa followed after her, and he strolled behind last, admitting defeat.
The three had snuck onto the lone boat, and Anakin was the one to steer it back to the other dock, where they were set loose in the streets of Naboo.
"Where are we going to find transport?" Ahsoka asked.
"I hadn't got this far." Anakin shrugged, trying to think, this would have been so much easier back in Coruscant, where transport was located everywhere, for any time of need.
"Don't worry, I know a guy." Lovisa shared, leading the two deeper into the village.
"You know a guy?" Anakin repeated, not sounding too thrilled.
"Yeah, not far from here, come on."
She had led them to a rough looking Cantina, where it looked like a brawl was the peak of their entertainment, what gave it away was the small pile of broken stools, among other things, in the alleyway, where a back door was.
Lovisa pounded on it, a couple of times, before a balding man with a long scar down his face, and a crooked nose, poked his head out.
"What?!" He demanded.
Lovisa pulled the hood of her cloak off, so that he could see that it was her.
"Visa!" He cheered, as he cupped her face, kissing her cheeks. "I was beginning to worry when I haven't seen you in so long. What can I do ya for, hun?"
"Hi, Gido." She smiled kindly. "Uh, we're actually in a sticky situation, and we need a horse, or two..."
"What's this for, huh? You ran away, again?" He asked, with a raise of his brow.
"Uh... not officially, but we are on a clock, these are my friends, and it would be really kind, if you could help us out."
"Hello" Ashoka waved.
"How'd you do?" Anakin greeted, meekly, looking behind the man, at the crowded Cantina.
"Gimmie one sec, alright, I'll get it sorted, for my favourite girl." Gido winked, before heading back inside.
"See, I know a guy." She shrugged her shoulder, looking back at the two.
"Yeah, how, though, is what I wanna know." Anakin told her, suspiciously.
"I come here, sometimes, and I tip well."
"This place?" Ahsoka grimaced.
"Yeah, Colo showed it to me, once, it's nice, you gotta experience it to get it."
"Oh, right, Colo." Anakin rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, is that a problem?" Lovisa asked him.
"Don't tell me your jealous." Ahsoka chuckled.
"I didn't say that." He dismissed.
The door reopened, and they were met with Gido's face, again.
"Here ya go, sweetheart, this guy will help ya out, go to him, tell 'im ol' Gido sent ya."
"Thank you so much, Gido, here, let the guys have a round, on me." She placed a small handful of coins in his palm, as she took the paper.
The door then closed, and they heard a very loud chorus of cheers from inside, as they turned around, to walk back out of the alley, Lovisa lifting her hood back over her head, as they did.
"Long live Visa?" Anakin quoted from inside. "Yeah, cause that's not gonna give away the fact that the princess is out from hiding."
"Will you calm down? No one is gonna think that. 'Side's, if you really thought that people important would know I'm back, from the local pub, they'd know I snuck out to go there, every night?"
"She has a point." Ahsoka shrugged.
"Thank you, Snips." Lovisa nodded, as she looked at the piece of parchment Gido gave her.
Lovisa led the other two around the village, hiding in the shadows, as they found their next destination.
Until they heard something coming from an alleyway.
"Do you hear that?" Ahsoka asked, as she looked around, trying to locate it.
"Yeah" Anakin breathed, as he did the same.
"What is it?" Lovisa asked, looking at the two.
"This way." Her friend said, walking down the alleyway, where she and Anakin could hear it from, but she felt this feeling in her chest, telling her to go to it, that it was important, there was life down there.
The princess quickly followed behind the two, as they sped to the place, as it started to trickle down with rain.
She gasped sharply, as what they could hear, was a soggy box, filled with three small puppies.
"Oh, wow!" She kneeled down, not caring for her dress, as she petted the three.
One with the golden coat, was quick to jump at her, licking her face excitedly, as she caught it, hugging the puppy to her chest.
Ahsoka had picked up the other one, he had an darker coat, with spots of red in his fur.
Then there was the last one, which Anakin felt obligated to pick up, not wanting him to be left all by himself. He had white and grey fur, but the most bright blue eyes, similar to the boy's.
"We have to keep them." Lovisa decided, knowing she couldn't give up her new puppy.
"Vis..." Anakin sighed, as he pet behind the ears of his own.
"Anakin, they're strays, they have no home, we need to."
"I don't think I can give this one up, if I tried." Ahsoka shared, as hers chewed on her hair.
"Fine... we can keep them, but can we please remember why we're here in the first place?"
"Right, come along, no more distractions." Lovisa stood up, her puppy in her hands, as he continued to lick her.
There wasn't much further to go, when Ahsoka dug through her satchel, finding some jam sandwich's she had packed, just in case.
"Skyguy, take him." She held her own puppy out, not giving the boy much choice but to take him, as she ripped up the sandwiches, handing a piece to Lovisa, before giving it to her own puppy, taking him back from Anakin and giving him the last piece.
"What did you just call me?" He furrowed his brows, as he lifted the sandwich to his mouth.
"Not for you, idiot, for your dog." She told him, when he went to bite it.
"I knew that." He mumbled, giving it to his dog.
"Looks like we're here." Lovisa shared, as they looked up at the barn, that was attached to a small house.
"Maybe I should go ask." Anakin assessed, his hand automatically going to fall on the hilt of his sword.
"No, Gido told me, so I will." Lovisa finalised, before handing Ahsoka her puppy, and walking forward.
She knocked on the door, and fiddled with her fingers, as she waited.
The door was pulled open suddenly, causing the girl to jump, as a burly man poked his head out.
"What?" He asked.
"Hello, I'm a friend of Gido's and he said that you would be able to help me, and my friends." She gestured to the two behind her, "With transport?"
He assessed her, and the two for a moment.
"Do I know you?" He asked.
Lovisa froze at the question, her cheeks heating up, before quickly shaking her head.
"No, uhm, no I don't think so, I'm just a friend of Gido's in urgent help. I'm willing to pay."
"Hmm" He grumbled, before opening the door wider and stepping out. "Follow."
The three walked behind, as the man headed towards the barn, and opening the doors.
"There's a reason Gido sent you here, if you're in urgent need of getting somewhere, my horses are the best around, fast and reliable."
He clicked his teeth, alerting the two horses in the stables, waking them from their slumber, as he prepared the carriage, it was a bit smaller than the royal ones, and it had no roof.
"Thank you so much, sir, we are extremely grateful." Lovisa smiled kindly.
"Aren't youse lot a lil young to be running around by yourself?" He asked, assessing all three of the teenagers.
"We're orphans, actually." Ahsoka answered. "And we're travelling for work."
"You're all orphans?" The man didn't seem so convinced.
"Yup! We're the only family each others got, our mama and pa.. it's too painful to talk about..." She sighed.
"You're all related?" He raised a brow, looking at Ahsoka, then the other two.
"Their parents were like my own, but these two are the best cousins around." She threw an arm around the pair, who had both gone stiff.
"alright, then..." He then walked off to grab the gear for the horses.
"What was that?" Lovisa hissed.
"Yeah, way to play it cool." Anakin quipped.
"I panicked, and then I couldn't shut up." Ahsoka shrugged, "But neither of you were much help."
"You didn't give us a chance." Anakin rolled his eyes.

"You would think she was being sentenced to death." Ahsoka sighed.
"Privileged people have a weird way with coping." Anakin shrugged, as they watched Lovisa pour another glass of  wine.
"I can hear you." She sniffled, as she sipped the red drink.
"Why did we need to be here for this?" Ahsoka asked her, directly.
"Because I don't like to be alone, and you're hired to do what I say."
The two shared another look.
"Not because we're great company?" Anakin asked.
"I asked the two of you here, and no one else, didn't I?" She glared at him, as she grabbed two more glasses, filling them.
"Basically, what she is trying to say, is that she loves us, and we're her best friends." Ahsoka smirked.
"You may go now." Lovisa switched her glare to the girl.
"Always in such denial." Anakin grinned widely, as he moved around the counter to stand near her.
"I must love terrible company." She rolled her eyes, sipping her drink, and stepping away from him.
"So, you do love us." Ahsoka cheered.
"Bye." Lovisa walked out from the room, where they stored their wine.
"Where are you going?" The two pains in Lovisa's asses, followed her.
"To drown myself." She answered, walking down the hall, and towards an exit of the large castle.
"But then Anakin's gonna get in trouble for letting you die, and I'll be out of a job." Ahsoka told her.
"That doesn't really seem like my problem." She shrugged. "I won't care, if I'm dead."
"That's what you really want?" Anakin asked.
"No." She groaned. "But it doesn't matter what I want."
"What is that?" He pushed. "What do you want?"
She continued to march through the grass, no destination in mind.
"Everything that I can't have." She refused to give details. "I don't want to be tied to a stupid throne." She tore her tiara off her head, throwing it away from her, but Anakin moved to swipe it up, as he and Ahsoka both followed.
"It won't be terrible, Lovey." Her friend told her.
"Like you could even begin to understand." She snapped.
"Then explain it to us." Anakin urged.
"My life has just been poured down the drain." She was frustrated, and angry. "I have spent my whole life, knowing that I was the spare, whatever I decided to do with my life, never really mattered, as long as it didn't affect the Kingdom or my family, in a bad way, and I would be able to do whatever they needed of me, but now?" She laughed harshly. "Now, my father is going to force me to find a suitable husband, to share the throne with, and it won't be mine, it will be his, and I will have to bare his children, so that he has an heir, they won't be mine, but his, I don't even want children! I won't ever be able to get away, my duties will be doubled, I will never get a say, for my own country, but everyone will be looking at me, when something goes wrong. I wanted to travel, to see great, amazing sights, from all over, and be able to paint, and be happy, and to live, but that's gone, it's all gone! And she got to make that decision, because she gets to be happy, with the one she wants, because she's older, and she gets to step away, because she had a back up, and I don't, so I'm stuck here, and its not fair, it's not fair!" She fell to the ground, to her knees, as she breathed heavy, the weight lifting from her chest, as she continued to stare down, at the skirt of her dress. "I've never been allowed to make a decision in my life, I hate it, I hate them, I hate my title, I hate it all! And I'm going to be miserable and alone, for the rest of my pathetic existence, I hate being alone, my biggest fear is coming true, and no one even cares to ask about what I think, how I feel. They didn’t even bother to tell me, they all knew and kept it from me" She dropped her face into her hands. "Everyone just thinks of me as this wild and selfish, spoiled brat, that always wants her own way, but nothing ever goes my way."
Anakin and Ahsoka looked at each other, they both felt guilty, they felt terrible for teasing and tormenting her, for not bothering to truly see things from her side, yes, she was living lavishly, and was better off than them, she never truly knew what it was like to come from nothing, but unlike her, they had made choices to be where they are now.
"You won't be alone, Lovey." Ahsoka told her, gently, "You will always have me, and I won't let that happen."
Lovisa looked up, her waterline was brimming with tears, "Do you swear?" Her voice cracked, as she asked.
"On my own life." Ahsoka held a hand to her heart, as she also sunk to the ground. "And that does not need to happen, you can rule, make this what you want it to be, you don't need anybody else, and your parents aren't going anywhere, you still have so much time, to do all the things you want to do. You can travel, and fall in love-"
"I can't." She interrupted.
"Yes, you can" Ahsoka smiled encouragingly.
"No, Ahsoka, I can't fall in love." She looked past her friend, at the boy stood behind her, who was already looking at the princess, and he didn't care to look away.
His own chest was beginning to feel heavy, the idea of her moving on, getting married, and starting a family, with anyone but him, it drove him crazy, and since their first kiss, it had been keeping him up, at night, thinking about it, but he could not help himself, the jealousy was too consuming.
But she was a princess, and he was a Jedi.
"Oh..." Ahsoka whispered.
"I wish to go to bed." Lovisa sighed, getting up from the ground, shaking the grass out of her dress.
"I shall accompany you, princess" Anakin told her, nodding to Ahsoka that it was okay for her to go to her own space.
"No need, Jedi." She continued to walk back to the castle.
"Of course there is, I have to make sure that you get to your quarters, safely. That is my job, after all." He replied, walking beside her.
"Very well, then." She wiped her tears, as she kept her focus on where she was going. Her palms were facing down, as she tried to walk properly, like she was taught, and yes, she was made to walk with books on her head, as a child.
But then she was swooped up, in someones arms, Anakin's arms.
She let out a squeal of surprise, as she hooked her arms around his neck, scared that he might drop her, but he carried her through the castle, as though she weighed nothing, even with her poofy skirt, he didn't even seem to care.
"What are you doing, Ani?" She asked him.
"Carrying you to your room, Princess, you seemed to have been struggling." He told her, not bothering to look down at her face, so she was looking up at his. "And I just wanted an excuse to be close to you." He also admitted.
Her cheeks turned rosy, but she didn't say anything else.
When they had reached her bedroom, He only set her down, once he had reached her bed, so he could sit her down on her mattress.
"Do you need anything, before I go?" He asked.
She hesitated, before thinking.
"Yes, I do, actually." She told him.
"And what is that?" He rose a brow in curiosity.
"Well, normally Ahsoka helps me undress, and I can't do it myself." She looked down, bashfully, what if he said no? Then she'd be stuck sleeping in an uncomfortable corset all night.
"O- Of course, M'lady." She didn't miss how he looked taken aback at her request, she had found that it didn't take much to fluster the skilled Jedi.
"Thank you, Skywalker." She called him by his last name, she thought that it would make things less awkward, sound more professional.
She turned around, so that her back was facing him, and she waited for only a few moments, before she could feel his presence behind her, it sent goosebumps all along her skin, and he hadn't even touched her.
Anakin untied the knot at the bottom of her dress, before unravelling the ribbon, finally letting her body relax from the tight prison.
His finger tips danced around her back, she could feel his breath on her ear, and she fought the reaction to shiver.
His hands moved towards her shoulders, then he was gently pulling down the small sleeves.
"Thank you." Lovisa gasped, sharply, breaking herself out of the spell, as she took a step forward, creating distance from him, then she moved towards her divider, so that she could change, picking an blue nightgown, with a matching sheer blue robe, with the fluffy cuffs and hem.
"Would you like me to leave now, princess?" Anakin asked her.
"No, you haven't checked whether my room is secure." She made up an excuse, just to keep him a little longer.
"Of course." He nodded, before walking towards her bathroom, to check it, and then it was her balcony, he even bothered to check under her bed, as she watched. "Well, it looks safe and sound." He told her, as she sat on her bed, he was only a few feet away from her. "I shall leave you to rest."
He only walked a few steps, towards the door, before she stopped him.
"Ani, can you-.... would you wait with me?" She asked. "I don't want to be alone, and I want you- your company, I would like your company." She reiterated.
He was by her side in milliseconds.
"Yes." He said. "I can wait with you."
"Thank you." She said in a hushed breath.
She then got off from the end of the bed, so that she could get underneath the duvet, and lay at her pillows. "Will you lay with me?"
"If that is what you desire." He answered, copying her movements, as he got into the bed, on the other side.
“Are you comfortable like that?” She looked at his clothes.
“I suppose so.” He shrugged. “It’s not what I typically wear to bed, but that’s okay.”
“Well, how do you usually sleep?” She asked him.
“Not a lot.” He bit down a smirk, as he avoided her eyes.
“Oh.” She hated that her cheeks turned red, she focused on her duvet, to avoid the mental images in her head.
The two layed on their side, looking at one another, not sure what to say or do.
Then she took his hand in hers, rubbing her thumb across his knuckles, feeling the scarred tissue, and the roughness, a show of hard work.
"I can't believe I'm laying in bed, with the future queen of Naboo." Anakin joked, breaking the silence, and causing a chuckle from her.
"Shut up." She rolled her eyes, with a small smile.
"You will make an amazing queen." He told her, with seriousness, now. "You don't have to make it the way things are now, you could make a difference, make things the way you want them to be, and fix Naboo, change all the bad that there is, here, there's so much you could do, and I know that it's you, who could and will do it, help the people, be the queen that this country needs."
"I don't think I would be very good." She shook her head. “The kingdom loves my mother and father, I would never reach their expectations.”
Anakin scooted closer towards her in the bed, he used his other hand to lift her chin, so that she would look at him, then moved to hold her cheek, swiping his thumb at the soft skin.
"Yes you will, Vis, you're the best option this place needs, I know you will do great, you're amazing, and I believe in you. You're a good person."
Her eyes softened, as she looked at him.
"But, I don't want to give you up, Ani, I don't think anyone could ever make me feel the way you do, I won't settle down with anyone." She shook her head in protest.
He kissed her, cutting off her next sentence before she could say it.
"Then don't." He said. "Don't end this, with me. We can be together, okay, no one has to find out, you don't need to marry, you don't need to marry anyone else, your sisters getting married, she'll most likely start a family with the senator, so the throne can just go back to them, after your reign, it'll be perfect."
Lovisa had no faith in his plan, she knew that was not realistic, and her father would never have that, it just wasn't the way things were, but to let herself be happy for just one more night, to enjoy his company, she nodded and smiled.
"Okay." She said, causing his own smile to grow wider, and he kissed her, again, with so much passion, that it broke her heart, just a little, she then pulled away. "Stay with me, for the night, please?"
"Of course, M'lady." He kissed her forehead, his hand in her hair.
She looked at his eyes, as they sparkled, as if he held the stars in them.
“You can undress, if you wish to, I promise I won’t look.”
“I don’t mind if you do.” He winked at her, playfully, as he did what she said, sitting up to pull his shirt over his head, tossing it onto the floor by her bed.
“C’mere.” He laid back down, opening his arms for her.
Lovisa scooted even closer to him, wanting to be wrapped up in his warmth, Anakin hugged her tightly, his face buried in her hair, as they eventually fell asleep.
