Clover goodbye gift to Ceroba

I really wish that Clover gave something to Ceroba at the end of true pacifist. It's kind of unfair that Martlet gets Clover's hat and Starlo gets Clover's gun while Ceroba gets nothing.

Yeah, she gets the soul. But that is supposed to go to Asgore. It's not something that she can keep, like Martlet and Starlo.

I know that those items were given away to explain why they ended up in the Waterfall dump where Bratty and Catty got them to sell in Undertale. But come on! The sad fox mom is going to end the life of a child that she cares about. Let her have something!

A recent post by @stuffyflowers had me thinking about how Kanako sees herself and Clover. Like she could only watch as Dalv got beaten up and probably felt incredibly guilty for not being able to do¹ anything. So when she found out about the experiment of course she volunteered herself, so she could "be useful for once" and help protect monsters. Except it backfired and didn't help anyone; all she accomplished was thrusting herself into a living hell and ruining her mother's life.

And then comes Clover, who also offered themselves for the sake of monsters except their sacrifice paid off and monsters were freed. And then, when offered a second chance they turned it down to instead save her personally. I get the feeling that on top of all the trauma, it would eat away at her; that on some level she considers herself a failure and perhaps even unworthy of being saved by Clover. To a lesser extent I'd feel that she'd also be super admiring of Clover, maybe even a little worshipful initially though it would be tempered by them being in her head.

In any case Clover would get a front row seat to her issues and could help her deal with them. Then again Clover would have their own issues I'd imagine, their preference for self sacrifice and shouldering burdens that children shouldn't might make some things worse. What do you think?

Oh yeah. Those two have issues that they shouldn't have because they are children.

In my AU, Kanako does feel guilty that Clover gave up a second chance at life just to give her another chance at a normal life. She also blames herself for the serum accident and all the pain that her mother has gone through. And she blames herself for Dalv almost dying to protect her. And because of the true lab, she gained cleithrophobia.

While Clover is another can of worms. He fuse with Kanako because he wanted to help her because he things she deserved a second chance of a normal life. But also because he thinks he didn't deserve a second chance in life. Why? Well... There was a side effect on Clover from being absorb by Omega Flowey... He remembered... everything... All his runs... So he feels guilty for all the bad things he did... And if you remember this post. You know that Kanako is going to eventually relive some mess-up stuff from Clover's memories in her dreams. And Clover knows that and he's dreading it. And sometimes he thinks he doesn't deserve to be called a Ketsukane after what he did in previous runs...

Yeah... Those two in my AU really need therapy...

Why didn’t Integrity just load their last save when they died to Axis? (Headcanon)

Some of you may say is because Flowey had control over the saves… That’s impossible.

Because Flowey didn’t exist yet.

Alphys True Lab entry 6 says that she receives the bodies of the fallen down monsters.

Meaning that Kanako just arrived at the lab.

That also means that Asgore has already 5 souls because we see that in Chujin’s office that he kept track of the human souls.

And there’s markings for the 5 souls meaning that they died before Chujin died.

And we know that flower that became Flowey was given Determination after Alphys receiving the bodies of the fallen down monsters because Alphys talks about finally choosing a candidate to test her theory of what would happen if something without a soul gets the will to live in entry 8 meaning that happens after entry 6.

So if Flowey wasn’t a thing yet. Why couldn’t Integrity save?

Well. Only the being with the highest Determination can save and reset…

What if… Patience or Bravery have a higher Determination than Integrity? And that’s why Integrity can’t save. After all those two are still technically alive because their souls aren’t shattered.

That’s at least my explanation in my AU.

In my AU Patience couldn’t defeat Asgore no matter the route. So they did a last pacifist run before giving up. Bravely gave up their soul like Clover and not wanting to undo the good that they did Bravely accepted their fate. But in my AU Bravely has the second highest Determination behind Frisk. Meaning that Integrity, Perseverance and Kindness couldn’t save or reset.

That’s why Integrity did what they did. Because they couldn’t save, they couldn’t heal from save points. So when they HP was low and they run out of items they started to use self defense to try to survive.

I hope my explanation was good enough…

Any videogames that are your favorite(s)?

Well... I have to say that this are my favorite games

Wario Land 2, A Koopa Revenge 2, Super Paper Mario and both Pikmin 1 and 2 were my childhood games. I used to play those games a lot. And I still do play Pikmin 1 and 2 on the switch.

You probably can tell that Pikmin 1 and 2 and Super Paper Mario were my favorites when I was a kid. Because my user name mysteriousbp (Mysterious Mr.L + Blue Pikmin.)

While the rest are more recent games that I love. I got the Luigi Mansion on the 3DS and I love it doing the all money challenge on normal and hidden mansion. Kirby Super Star and Banjo Kazooie are the Nintendo Online games that I play the most. I got Pikmin 3 Deluxe and Pikmin 4 the days that those games released. And Pizza Tower is a master piece of 2D platformers.

But my favorite of them all is a tie between Pikmin 2 and Pizza Tower.

Ceroba final boss fight and Clover powers explain by the devs

I never realized that the final boss fight with Ceroba was supposed to be a trial to find out her fate. But hearing the devs explain it makes it so much obvious...

And Clover having the powers to see the truth of scenarious by going to people minds... The truth in justice... It just makes the final boss fight with Ceroba 10 times better in my opinion.

Uty devs talk about the Kanako cutscene

I agree that the way they would redo the cutscene would be better in the story. But I completely understand why they had to cut down because of length of the fight.

But hey. That doesn't mean we has a fadom can't use this idea for our fanworks. I think this idea will spice up some works.

I want to also leave here the devs talk about Ceroba breaking Chujin promise and using the serum on Kanako. Because I think Ceroba gets a lot of hate that she doesn't deserve and having the devs saying what they wanted to show can maybe reduce that hate.

Has my opinion? I kinda got what the creators wanted with Ceroba when I played the game.

That’s very true. All Kanako amalgamate designs aren’t ruined because it’s confirmed that she is the tuck in amalgamate.

Because the in undertale the amalgamates have very different over world appearance than in battle.

Example. This is Snowdrake Mother:

This is Reaper Bird:

And this is Lemon bread

None of them look like their battle sprites. Except Endogeny because he’s a dog and Toby is bias.

They also can change shapes.

Snowdrake mother is disguised as a fridge, Lemon bread is disguised as a save point and Endogeny is the dust in the air.

Fun fact: The monster that you fight in the Core don’t have their own over world sprites. They all share the same one. And this is the explanation of one of them.

Maybe we are just seeing the amalgamates in a different angle.

True Lab dinner

MTT-Brand Burger Emporium is the closest restaurant to the lab. And because of Alphys relationship with Mettaton she probably has a discount on that place. So she probably buys food there for the Amalgamates. But I don’t think that Kanako would like the Glamburger… Would probably remind her of the Feisty Slider back home… Where her mother is… She would probably miss home even more…

And I don’t think she would be big fan of the Glamburger after being used to eating more traditional burgers (at least I think that Dina makes her food in the saloon and isn’t any brand food)

Why Chujin didn’t absorb the soul. (Headcanon)

This is my headcanon for why Chujin didn’t just absorb the soul.

Actually… I don’t actually think I saw anyone pointing this out. To how Chujin could have just absorbed the soul to create a fusion rather than having this crazy experiments with integrity… It isn’t even explained why he didn’t just do this in the first place.
