Dreaming

Part 2 of safe heaven.

part 1

It was another day, like any other day lonely, dreary and overall just plain boring. She took a turn that was when she hit something and felt a pain in her foot when she looked down the person who she had stumbled into had stepped on her foot she just wanted to disappear she couldn't be more embarrassed if she tried. She was just going to do that when she saw their eyes and stopped in her tracks cause those eyes oh! how many times had she had gazed into those eyes.

Without her knowing she had raised her hands and they graced one side of his face.

"Felix" she whispered.

And the face under her hand flinched. His eyes looking conflicted.

She didn't know what to think on one hand this couldn't be real on the other she couldn't just let this moment go. And from his expression well.. he hadn't exactly run away at this strange interaction.

"Can we talk somewhere?" asked Marinette

he nods

Marinette sees a park nearby and raises an eyebrow in question she just couldn't get the right words out of her mouth she knew she would stumble.

He nods again.

She didn't know how to feel with this awkward tension between them. Things between them had never been awkward.

Fed UP Part 2

Part 1

"You should apologize Marinette as class president you should be an example." said Miss Caline Bustier.

"but...miss I.." Marinette was interrupted.

"No buts Marinette you have not acted like the class president instead you have been causing trouble for your friends" said Miss Caline Bustier.

"Well then why don't you just go ahead and remove me as class president if I have been such a bother." said Marinette icily.

she hadn't wanted it to be like this but she also thought that her teacher who knew Lila's disease would take what such a person said with a grain of salt but well it wasn't her duty to correct her teacher or friends well classmates .

"That is not what I meant..."stuttered miss Bustier

"Well good thing I don't care, and just to make things clear I am resigning as class president.." said Marinette and walked out of the classroom.

the school already blamed her for things she hadn't done already so she might as well be punished for something she did not that she would be punished for this as her plan was just beginning.

In the classroom

Lila tried to hide her smile who knew miss goody two shoes would resign herself well one problem down now she was gonna be the only one who mattered.

The class was in disbelief they had seen how Marinette had changed but didn't think she would go so far but it proved that they were right in believing Lila.

Adrian couldn't believe what Marinette had done didn't she understand the high road she should have just listened to him he knew these things as in the fashion world this was the norm but Marinette just couldn't let go. If she remained like this there was no way she would be able to go up in the fashion world.

At the hospital

"oh darling, we didn't think they would take it this far are you alright we should have just withdrew from that dumb school." said Sabine

"Mumma its alright you couldn't do anything you and papa tried but it didn't work out maybe this way the school won't be able to hide the incident due to the media and police." said Marinette.

"Fine. Why don't you rest we....

"Gumdrop, what happened I saw the News do I need to call my lawyers. Are you alright?" interrupted Jagged Stone.

"Uncle Jagged what are you doing here?" Marinette asked. 

"Well I couldn't just ignore what happened to my lovely gumdrop why didn't you tell me?" said Jagged.

"Well I didn't want to trouble you with these minor things" said Marinette

"MINOR THINGS??" yelled the three.

"Well this was the first time it got physical usually they just yell at me and demand things.." sighed Marinette hearing it from herself confirmed that what  she had done was the right thing cause these people were goners.

the room was silent until

"Well this won't do , I can't have people troubling my designer I guess I'll have to tell Penny to call the lawyers" said Jagged.

"but.." Marinette started but quieted down.

then as if determined she straightened her posture and took a deep breath 

"Okay but could you please handle these things because... I know  that what they did was wrong but.. If I was the person handling this they would try to pressure me and I don't want that and I might cave in to their demands.." said Marinette 

"well don't worry i will handle the Legal side of things and your parents will handle the investigation and other things that need to be done." said Penny who had just entered the room

"Thanks Penny but what other things?" asks Marinette

"Like if you want to take legal action against your school as your parents told me about your "expulsion" we wouldn't want that to be in your resume just because your school is incompetent even when they claim to be one of the best schools in Paris" said Penny

"We do want to take action against the school as they have been refusing to let Marinette transfer classes even after the whole fiasco and before that they didn't do anything about Chloe even though they only had to reprimand her" said Sabine. She didn't like that her daughter had to suffer because of people who couldn't even do their job right. She also didn't like that for a time she had believed that liar who was one of the main reasons for her daughter's plight. She also didn't like that they had to see  how her classmates treated her to know of the school's incompetence, they had pushed Marinette to be nice to Chloe because they hadn't thought things weren't as  bad as it had been, as they thought if there had been something like that the school would have punished the person and inform the parents.

Tom seeing his wife's face knew what she was thinking and hugged her.

Marinette sitting on the bed saw the people she loved here worrying about her smiled "life would be..

THUD!!

everyone looked towards the door standing their were Luka, Kagami and Zoe 

Seeing everyone's expression 

Zoe sheepishly smiled as she was the one who had slammed the door "umm.. we saw the news are you fine?"

Marinette smiled "She had spoken too soon her friends were also here life would be fine with these people with her"

"Ya haven't been this good in a while" she said

Paris city of Love? Indeed

This is Felix's First time coming to Paris and though he should have taken the car he instead decided to walk to his uncle's house his mother was unable to come with him due to work related issues. But his mother said she didn't want to ruin his vacation the only reason he came to Paris was to make his mother happy.

Lost in thought he bumped into someone. When he tilted his head he saw bluebell eyes and was lost in those eyes.

they were blue, Just like the mysteries of the ocean they drew him in whoever said that eyes were the window to one's soul must have met this person...

A hand was waving in front of my face. 

"Are you alright Monsieur? I didn't mean to bump into you I am so sorry." said the person with soulful eyes.

"Its alright I was lost in thought so I didn't see you. And I take responsibility for it. I shouldn't have been lost in thought in a place where I am new." He replied.

"you're new here? By the way I am Marinette. " she said 

her voice is also cute like her.

"I am Felix. I presume you live here or are you exploring ?" he asked

I don't want this conversation to end. 

"Nice to meet you Felix. Yes I do li...   "  just then her phone rang 

there was someone speaking at the other side but he couldn't quite hear the words

"Yes mamma I'll be right there. bye" she hung up

"well it was nice meeting you but I gotta go maybe we might meet again. bye." she said and took off.

Well that was unexpected but he hoped they would meet again if not he might just have to make a way to meet her

New Year

In this fic there is no miraculous and first time Felix visiting Paris since he was but a child. Marinette doesn't have a crush on Adrian.

He remembered how when the year started it had felt like his life had turned into hell. after his father had died his mother was busy managing the company and couldn't spend much time with him. so after a few months she decided to send Félix to Paris to his uncle and cousin so both the children could spend time with each other and maybe console each other.

Félix hadn't wanted to go because he preferred being alone rather than being with his cousin it wasn't that he didn't like his cousin it was just that he was quite different from him and he was a teenager even though he was quite mature he just had the most unusual feelings for people from time to time.

When he reached Paris he was resigned he knew he would have to spend atleast a year here because once his mother took a decision she followed it through. So he met Adrien and his uncle who somehow seemed colder than before if that was possible.

When he started school most people steered clear of him because even though he looked like his cousin, cause  his aura was totally different and if that wasn't enough he had an intimidating scowl.

There was nothing quite special about this school or its students or so he thought until he met the class president Marinette Dupain Cheng. She wasn't afraid of him and was quite friendly and kind and a good friend of his cousin.

They were grouped together for a project and that was how he became friends with her and was invited to her house. Her parents were just like her warm and kind and he quite liked them because most of the people he knew weren't so open about there feelings.

Though it might seem instantaneous while thinking it had taken a few months to admit that they were friends as he never had had friends except Adrian who technically didn't count as he was family.

She was his best friend now and if he were to admit his crush. Though he hadn't known what he had been feeling, he had researched the topic and had come to said conclusion. But he would have to experiment more until he was sure as he didn't want to confess if said conclusion turned out to be false.

Now he was here at a new year party which his cousin and best friend had dragged him to. If someone had said at the beginning of the year that he would have found a best friend in Paris he would have thought that the person was joking.

"aren't you coming inside we are going to begin the counting in a few minutes." said a familiar voice. He turned to see his bestfriend Marinette and thought 'even though I might not have predicted this I am quite happy with the result of coming to Paris'.

he smiled and said, "come lets go."

and then he held out his arm for her to hold and both of them went inside to enjoy the new year together whatever things the new year held they would go through it together as friends.

The Proposal

Felix was nervous. His hands were twitching which for many people may not have been a big thing but we are talking about Felix Graham De Vanily the master of the poker face for his hands to me twitching is like for us ordinary beings to sweat uncontrollably while our hand are shaking.

Felix pov

this is the day ,but i am not sure how she will take it. What if she says no....(just then his mother enters his room)

"darling ....(sees that he is nervous)what is the matter, darling ?"asks amelia.

"its just...mother do you think its too early ....

(interrupting him)"darling you know i can't answer that the only one who can is you and her."

"but what if she says no" Felix said with a sad face.

"darling, that is very unlikely but you won't know until you try." said Amelia

(felix sees the time)"i gotta go, i will see you later mother"he said as he rushed past her.

At the restaurant

"felix you didn't have to work so hard you know"said marinette.

(felix rented the whole restaurant for today the table they are sitting at is decorated with different roses)

"i wanted to but before we eat i wanted to ask y-you something"said felix.

"of course ,fe."she said as she could see that felix was nervous.

Felix went down on his knee and took out a ring box then started.

The Ring

"When i first saw you through that video something made me hate my cousin for having someone as lovely and honest as you loving him,but even after i left my mind was filled with you,your voice,your eyes and i didn't know why then when i returned to Paris and found what happened with your class i couldn't believe my cousin pushed you away with his ignorance i thought you wouldn't want anything to do with someone like me but.." when he looked at marinette and saw her shocked but smiling face and he continued.

"you forgave me ,you made me wanna be a better person and became someone i admired then you asked me out and i was shocked as i couldn't believe someone like you could like me that was one of the happiest day of my life, so will you Marinette Dupain Cheng make me the happiest person in the whole Universe, will you marry me?" he looked up with a hopeful expression.

"of course" she said while crying.

Felix took the ring out of the box and slipped it on her finger and wiped away her tears.

"so how did i do Ms fiancee"he said teasingly.

Both laughed they couldn't be any happier.

Meanwhile with Mari

when she landed and got out of the airport she saw a big welcome sign with her name written in neat writing she was confused but went there and she saw none other than her boyfriend. She was so happy to see him that too in gotham she thought he was busy with some business meeting or something.

"fe, what are you doing here i thought you were in london because of some meeting"she said while pecking him and hugging him.

"well there was a meeting and i wasn't sure i could make it so i didn't tell you so that you wouldn't be disappointed in case i couldn't come"said the newcomer known as fe while returning the hug.

That was so like her boyfriend trying everything in his power to make her happy. They didn't keep any secrets from each other he knew everything about her and she knew everything about him the good and the bad.

She had met him 2 years ago when she was in london. There was just something about this guy who looked like her ex crush but was the opposite it was like they clicked there was no other words to describe it.

It wasn't but was love at first sight. As both felt a pull to each other they started to know each other and after a while started dating at first jagged was hesitant but after getting to know him both were pretty close.

Well back to the present

"so do we have any plans?"asked knowing very well there was no way her boyfriend would come here and surprise without having plans. Not that he didn't give her surprise because that would be the understatement of the year . Felix loved to spoil her even though she had told him not to. He said it was one of his way of showing his love.

"well, there are some plans but nothing that can't be cancelled if you're tired ."he said. Even though he may look strict he was always always so thoughtful it was one of the things that made her fall for him and as much as she wanted to do fun things with him. She was very tired so she said,"well,i am a little tired so why not watch movies today and complete your plans tomorrow?"

Thought, the day you disappeared that it was over Didn't even hear you leavin'

Marinette had felt relieved when Lila had left she didn't care why or what her reason was as long as she didn't return she was happy. She thought she could return to how things were but she just had to return. She didn't think her threat would work but she still had that lurking fear because of her past when Chloe bullied her none of her classmates did anything, even her friends from childhood. But she thought about how good friends they were surely this time they would stick together she tried to convince herself but it didn't feel reassuring. 

Saw you with someone and thought that it was closure But you still tell me that you need me

Then when she found out Adrian knew( of course it was because of what i did as ladybug but that doesn't matter) but when he asked her  not to say anything she was swept away in the feeling of feeling like some drama's female lead but it was only later she realized what he had said and about its implications but she didn't want to back out because what would he think about her if she  backed away from something she had agreed. But then she saw the effect it had on her friends and knew she couldn't leave her friends vulnerable so she talked to Adrian ( yes  talked with words)  but he didn't think along  the same lines so she started calling Lila on her lies but it turned her friends against her as they saw Adrian pulling her aside after these incidents (he was telling her not to call Lila out on her lies) and thought she was doing this for attention and was jealous of Lila

the  class's reactions hurt her but that was a whole different problem one second they would be hurling accusations and other asking her favors as if they were friends. they didn't care how they were treating her as to them this was fair treatment. Whenever Lila would promise them something they would gladly ignore her but as soon as it fell through they would be back and asking for her to do those things as if it was her responsibility all along.

Miss bustier didn't defend her from her class's behavior but still thought she should do the class's work and when she had enough and quit being class president they behaved like it was her fault not their behavior and bullying that was the cause for this.

They would talk about how instead of her they invited Lila and blamed her and her issues poking and prodding at things they used to help with( her crush on Adrian and how they used to make crazy plans). She was fed up about their indecisiveness and cowardness she would not take it at first she was sympathetic as they didn't know about the lies but this was taking stupidity to a whole new level.

And when she moved on with her life they would still complain about not doing work for them not bothering with reasons supported by their teacher who even though being an adult was as naive as a 5 year old. And Adrian who clearly didn't know what friendship was and tried to guilt Marinette to do what the class wanted.

And when Lila 's lies were revealed they came back like nothing had happened and expected her to be their friend even after all the stunts they had pulled. Not realizing this wasn't some akuma you could fix with the miraculous lucky charm. This was real life where actions had consequences all she  could say to them when they demanded an answer was "that's not how this works"

 "why?" was all he said.

She told him about everything starting with her father ending with her parents disowning her. When she looked up there was no judgement or disgust in his eyes just understanding and acceptance. She was so happy that he was still with her after everything she hugged him and started crying.

He returned her hug and comforted her. Then he looked at her and said,"if you don't mind blueberry,may i adopt you?"

her eyes went wide and she rapidly started nodding her head and hugged him tight.

"rock'n roll ",he said and picked his phone and dialled penny he explained to her and asked for the adoption to be finalised.

All this happened 2 and a half years ago.

When she was adopted by jagged she changed her name to marinette stone and stopped going to her old school and started being homeschooled . None of her ex moronic friends or her ex parents knew where she was or that she was adopted neither did they care.

Her ex father also didn't know she had tried to get in contact but wasn't able to she also found out that he had adopted many children and that their was no mention of his biological daughter as in her. That was the last day she cried for people who didn't deserve her tears.

"well panicking won't cancel the plane" she murmurs to herself. She picks her suitcases and backpacks and starts packing.

(she is done with her packing)

Ring ring she picks up her phone "hello dad,yes yes i am packing ,no you don't need to send your driver to pick me. daaad i am 22 not 2" rolls her eyes "yes i am sure i will manage no need to make penny work more. i have called a cab they will pick me from here and drop me at the airport. Well i need to go. Bye. Love you dad."and ends the call.

She takes the cab to the airport.

Note-My characters may not be like the original dc universe as i haven't watched/read the dc universe .Everything i know is from many fanfics that i have read .hope y'all enjoy it.

Marinette had to go to Gotham. Now you would think why are we even talking about this well the thing is tom isn't her biological father he is her step dad. Well who is her biological father you ask none other than Bruce Wayne. And the problem you see is that till she was 5 she lived with her father but on her 6th birthday he dropped her at her mother's house and never returned.

6 year old Marinette thought her father hated her and that is why he didn't want her there. Marinette started living with her mother and found out that she liked it here in paris with her mother and step dad.

Now she is 22 a successful designer and singer known as MDC and Nettie and her dad (that is her legal guardian jagged stone)was doing a concert in gotham and wanted her to be there.Now you might ask how this happened. Well liela rossi happened,when she was in high school everyone liked her because of her personality and behaviour but then this liar came and started telling lies and her classmates the bunch of morons that they are believed the liar over their friend even though many of them knew her from childhood. they started ignoring her and calling her mean things. At first marinette was very hurt first her father and now her friends. The only one that knew that the liar was lying was her ex crush and he advised her to take the high road the coward that he was.

So after her ex moronic friends started ignoring her she had much free time and started her own bussiness at first she didn't have many customers as the website was started by a newbie but then jagged stone announced that his personal designer was MDC and thus her business started blowing/blossoming this was 4 years before.

Somehow her classmates got to her parents and worse they believed it and told her to leave their house as a bully and someone who had disgraced them wasn't their daughter . This was the last straw for Marinette as everyone she had loved had left her except her friend Luka, jagged stone and penny Jagged's assistance .Marinette packed her stuff there wasn't much as she had bought a studio after her business had skyrocketed so she took the few things she had and left as she was leaving Sabine and Tom looked at her and for the first time saw that Marinette wasn't showing any emotion and was wearing something which had no pink at all and her hair was in a french braid she left without saying anything.

After a month of leaving her home jagged returned to paris as he was doing a tour and when he asked mari where to come to collect his clothes she gave him a different address which wasn't the bakery now jagged didn't know about liela rossi as mari didn't want to burden him but as jagged care for marinette as a daughter he knew there was something amiss in her life and he was waiting for her to tell him what it was.

When he reached the address mari opened the door and let him in as he was looking around he saw there was a kitchen and a room and studio he asked her,"blueberry are you living here?"

Childhood Friends

Sabine and Amelie Graham de Vanily were good friends thought they make an unusual pair. Their friendship started at a children's store( or whatever they are called). Though people may think there couldn't be more different people they had much in common both being fierce, loving their family, knowing martial arts and children of the same age. The latter was the reason they had started talking and found a friend in each other.

Amelie was feeling lonely as she couldn't meet with her sister as often as she would like because of Gabriel. And Felix didn't have any friends his age.

Sabine thought about how it might be nice for Marinette to have friends as though her daughter was nice she didn't have any close friends so maybe Amelie son might become her friend.

And thus met Felix and Marinette at first they didn't start on the right foot.

"Just know I don't like people. And it wasn't my idea to meet you." said little Felix trying to mimic an adult.

"Well how can you judge me without knowing me. You're just like Chloe." said Marinette angrily putting her little hands on her waist trying to show her disapproval.

"Bourgeois!! you take that back I am nothing like that that meanie." said Felix

"you know Chloe too? and how are you not like her." said Marinette

"Well.. (trying to think of reasons but not getting any) I am not a girl?" said more like asked Felix

Marinette couldn't hold it any more she started laughing. Felix also starts laughing as her laugh is contagious.

"Maybe we could be friends you aren't who I thought you were." said felix

"Yay! does that mean you'll come here and play with me." said Marinette. 

And thus started a beautiful Friendship.

They became best friends and would go to each others houses. Their mothers were happy. They would tell each other everything. But 4 years later Felix had to move to London because of his father's company.

"hey! don't cry its not like I won't be coming I can't just leave my only best friend alone." said Felix while hugging Marinette.

" You promise you won't forget me and replace me?" asked Marinette

"who could ever replace you  my macron? and I'll call you every week and we can talk about our lives. And I'll return in a few years." said felix

"promise?" said Mari.

"Promise" said Felix.

they hugged a last time and Felix went to his car waving as he went tears sliding his cheeks.

"Mama he will come back no?" asked Mari also crying .

"of course sweetie." replied Sabine

Rainy Day

It was a rainy day and somehow because of his luck Flix forgot to bring his umbrella. Now he was getting soaked in the rain .just then he sees a bakery around the corner .

Felix pov

Just my luck the day i forgot my umbrella it is raining cats and dogs and now my clothes are all wet. Why is it that mother wanted to visit uncle Gabriel and cousin Adrien.

Oh there is a bakery maybe i can wait there till the rain lessens or stops.

(runs and stands under the uplifted part of the roof{sorry don't remember the proper word} and starts running his hands through his hair)

(just then a girl who reached his chin came from inside the bakery)

oh another one of Adrian's fangirls ever since I came here I am being ambushed by Adrian's fangirls. Don't tell me I have to deal with one more of them in my present condition.

(looks into her eyes and is mesmerised by her blue bell eyes)

"hello sir, please come inside its cold here and the rain hasn't stopped you might get sick" said the pretty bluenette.

She is so cute and kind.wait..what am I thinking??wait say something.

"oh I don't want to bother the owners by making the inside a mess because of me" he said

"I am the owners daughter Marinette and I don't think mama and papa would mind" the girl known as Marinette said.

"that's kind of you miss Marinette as not many people would do that for a stranger" he said with a charming smile.(he is also one of those people who uses the person's title like miss and all)

"you know you can j just call me Marinette (Felix coughs a little interrupting her) come on you are getting sick because of the weather" she said.

(then she grabbed his arm and dragged him inside)

why am I letting her pull me inside. Why did I  smile to her I am not like that to others.

(Marinette went and got a towel and hot chocolate )

"here take the towel and dry your hair" said Marinette

she is so caring (takes the towel and starts drying his hair)

"thank you so much Marinette" (sees her tomato red face and smiles)

"oh its nothing (giving him the cup of hot chocolate)do you want to talk while its raining" she said.

"sure" he said.

Maybe this trip to Paris isn't that bad after all (goes with Marinette and sits at a table and start talking)

"thank you for your kindness an d keeping me company I would like to make this up to you may I take you on a date" he asks

Marinette pov

he is cute and my feelings for Adrian are gone now that I realise he wasn't who I thought he was. It was so fun talking with him, I didn't even realise so much time had passed.

"ye-yeah, sure. Here is my number (taking a slip of paper and writing her number) message me the time and place" she said smiling.

"of course mon chéri ."he said while kissing the back of her hand.

He is such a gentle man.(he walks to the door waving)

"he is different tikki I feel it" she said to her kwami.

"I think so too Marinette" said the kwami.
