"poor Cinderella" my mother sighed "She had her happy ending but it doesn't go beyond that," she said. Putting the book down "Didn't she find her true love?" "heh my dear true love is a fool's tale...she married a man without knowing his name," she said. She goes quiet for a second "I used to believe that myself, I would be Cinderella..though I found my true love" "Sadly it wasn't the happy ending I hoped for" she choked on her words "but I have you my dear so I guess I get what I wanted in the end" she smiled. She got up "just..don't believe in fairy tales" she spoke before closing the door.

At first, I thought it was odd then I got it my dad was the prince she fell in love with, only for the prince to leave her. Cinderella never had her happy cause she killed the prince. She died with that secret my mother died with that knowledge.

My mother hid so much from me, the world she deemed cruel, the faith of my father, and what reality was actually like. She had such black and white worldview. Couldn't tell the difference between the world she lived in and the fairy tale she read as a child so caught up in her world. She forgot reality. Poor Cinderella was deemed ill and she died in the castle she owned.

As long as I knew Alex I knew Deccan when you asked them how long they knew each other both of them won't know they would joke that they were twins. I never got why Alex hung out with Deccan, Deccan seems to be an arrogant entitled rich kid but I guess they balance each other in some way.
