I have been regretting buzzing my hair back in July. I did it because my hair was driving me crazy. My boyfriend says he likes it short. Keeping it buzzed short, I don’t have to deal with my naturally poofy-curly hair that it seems every one but me and my man likes.

Yesterday I had a old lady call me ma’am in the parking lot. When I turned around and spoke she was apologizing thinking she had offended me by saying “you look like a girl” told her how she just made my day.

I’ve been thinking about the international day of tran visibility which is an annual event occurring on March 31 dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide, as well as a celebration of their contributions to society.

If not for my supportive friends, I’d probably not have started my search that would lead me to the words to describe myself. Gal pals who I’ve gone shopping with for women’s clothing. Encouraged me to paint my nails, try make up.

The friends who helped me pick out the chosen name “Natalie Grace” replacing my necronym. And the one friend who only address me as Natalie or Nat.

Talking with terrev about all the gender thoughts has gone like this.

My job has Charlie-Foxtrot-ed my pay this week. Super frustrating. Hopefully it direct deposits tomorrow or I get a physical check tomorrow or Saturday.

Super worried. Wondering if I should start looking for a second job or new job especially if this becomes a repetitive issue.

A friend asked me if I had thought about doing HRT or if that’s something I have thought of doing.

For me, I have thought about it. I consider it. It may be something I may seek out in the future. But I don’t think I needed to. As another friend told me “there’s no wrong way to be trans!”

I sometimes feel that I’m not open enough about my trans-ness. Or I am not trying hard enough.

There’s a handful of people who see me as Natalie and not as (omitted) and only call me Natalie or Nat, even if I am boy-moding.
