I wonder what’s so juicy about Lally’s relationship with Tina… 🤔

Eddie Redmayne: When I first came onto these films, I was always sort of told that Newnt was gonna be our conduit into the Dumbledore/Grindelwald story. So what I love about what Newt's sort role in this is that he's gone from being Dumbledore's student to now being a kind of almost like a brother figure. He has great love for him and he trusts him implicitly even when he's sent off to do missions that he fundamentally has no idea what's coming.

Eddie Redmayne: At the beginning of this movie, the world is in chaos, and Tina, as you saw at the end of the last movie, has become really quite an important figure as an Auror in the States. So she's off doing her thing and Newt is off, sent off on his mission. So it's kind of like they are separated almost by war or by tension. The love is there and and the love is strong. I adore Tina as a character and I adore Katherine, and I was sad that in this movie I didn't get to work with her as much, but it was amazing when Katherine came to set. The story is depicted by Jo and Steve and David, our director, but I'm hoping that in the future, I love that last scene and I'm hoping that we'll get to see more of Newt and Tina's relationship becasue it''s close to my heart.

Jessica Williams: Even my character Lally, Tina was one of her best friends at school and Queenie was younger, but they all grew up knowing each other. I think Tina and Lally's relationship is pretty juicy. Yes, I do know that for a fact. I cannot spoil anything, but I want to see them together, like together a lot.

I think so! I don’t know if they’ve had a clear conversation about their feelings, but it definitely seems like they’re picking up on each other’s hints. The only thing that’s getting in the way is the time and distance due to the political climate. Still, I bet they’ve been sending letters throughout. It seemed like Newt was still in contact with Tina despite not seeing her for a while.

SO...for those who have seen SoD...
