I think it's interesting that Grindelwald seems to be aware that it's at least very unlikely that the Quilin will chose him as a worthy leader, so he needs to take precaution. I always understood him as someone who truly believed that his cause was right and noble. He doesn't think of himself as the villain. So does he just want to make extra sure that he wins the election by "tampering" with the Quilin (now, that's an euphemism)? Or is he aware that the means he chooses to achieve his goals aren't morally right although he believes that his cause is - is he is afraid that this is enough to make the Quilin chose someone else?

Why do they call it a fix-it-fics if they’re just going to let Credence die? ;~;

@conjvring asked: 13) receiver wakes sender from a nightmare.
-
Aberforth had always been a light sleeper, ever since Ariana had been attacked when they were small. Light sleeping meant being able to wake up quickly if Ariana needed him, and years of that ingrained habit were hard to shake loose. Having his son here now was enough to enforce those habits even more so, perpetually aware that Credence might need him for something, if he was hurting, or ill, and Aberforth didn't want to miss a moment.
As such, on this night he woke easily enough at the first hint of noise from his son's room, and with the second hint, he was knocking on the door and poking his head in. Credence was still asleep from what he could see, although his face was grimacing. A nightmare then. Padding over to the bed, he sat on the edge, gently running his hand soothingly up and down the boy's arm.
"Credence? It's just a nightmare. Wake up, son."

i see everyone talking about how lavender is symbolic for gellert and how it’s shown to represent him and his identity as a gay man throughout the films but why isn’t anyone talking about albus and how the 18th-century word ‘dumbledore’ literally means bumblebee and the well known fact that bumblebees love lavender
also fun fact bumblebees are attracted to lavender more than any other kind of insect or bee
i’m going so deep but note how gellert is always trying to ‘attract’ and draw albus over to his side in the film and on both occasions they meet (the date and the duel) he’s wearing the lavender tie
like did they really just give us a story about a bumblebee boy falling in love with a lavender boy and them being eternally bound forever yes they fucking did

Just gotta love that the candidates who were considered to like, rule the wizarding world in FBSOD were a man of colour, a woman, and a gay man. Like, say what you will but they were hella progressive even back in like the 30s in that world, can’t help but applaud ‘em

No but, is anyone out there like
both Dumbledore and Grindelwald lived.
The blood pact was broken.
They now can hurt each other, they can kill each other.
They chose not to. They can't.
Can you imagine how much it must hurt, loving someone you have to destroy?
Can you imagine Dumbledore knowing he has this big duty of defeating Grindelwald and the wizarding world counts on him to do so, but he literally can't bring himself to because that's the love of his life. He just can't hurt him because he still loves him so much. And Grindelwald, if he killed Dumbledore there would be no one to match him. He is his biggest threat. He can just kill him and continue undefeated but he can't hurt the man he loves. He can't force himself to.

@conjvring asked: “Hey, why are you walking like that?”
He should have known that his son would be observant. Granted, he wasn't particularly sure if that was the sort of trait that could be passed on, but if it could, Credence had definitely inherited it. From the moment he'd woken up, needle like pains dancing down his spine, he'd known it was going to be a rough day. It didn't happen too often, but it still tended to blindside him a little when it did.
"Old curse injury," he explained with a faint grimace, one hand coming to the small of his back. That summer of 1899 would certainly never be forgotten.
