ex-Christian pagan culture is saying “oh my god” without ever meaning it toward your deity whatsoever—you’ve just gotten in the habit of saying it and have yet to break it.

Ways to connect to your deities that rule over love
Example: Eros, Aphrodite, Venus, Hathor, Inanna, Cupid, etc!
-tell them about your past loves and ask them what you need to improve in the relationships
-work on being more comfortable in your sexuality and practice self love
-pray to them regarding your love life (trust me, it's not embarrassing or nagging, they will try to help you!!!)
-ask them to help you with a self love spell
-give them offerings such as: heart themed DIY stuff, pink, red and pastel color stuff!
-write them a letter as a prayer, or a poem
That's all i could think of for now <3

Think about them realll hard while falling asleep. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.
How do you all reach out to deities? I tend to go for the yell at the sky (talk to my ceiling) method.

Note
Pagan culture is listening to discourse about which "Christian" practices were stolen from pagans every year on holidays like easter, Christmas, Halloween, Valentines Day, and more!
(I'm lowkey getting tired of it!)
Yeah, it’s the same old thing every holiday. Like…can’t we just…y’know, focus on celebrating, maybe??

sometimes i think about how reblogging something that made you think of a deity and devoting that act to them is kinda like texting them 'lol this is so u'

☀️Deities☀️
I see so many people criticizing others over their relationships, or lack thereof, with their deities, so here are some reminders:
Not having deities is okay.
Having just a devotional relationship with your deities is okay.
Having a working relationship with your deities is okay.
Playing games with your deities is okay.
Harmless jokes with your deities are okay.
Doing fun things with your deities is okay.
Doing devotional offerings for your deities is okay.
Giving physical offerings to your deities is okay.
Not being able to do certain offerings for deities is okay.
Having an altar for your deities is okay, no matter the size.
Not having an altar for your deities is okay.
Laughing with your deities is okay.
Crying with your deities is okay.
Having genuine conversations with your deities is okay.
Being unable to hear/see deities is okay.
Being able to hear/see deities is okay.
Not being able to communicate through divination is okay.
Using divination as a key element in communication is okay.
Not calling on deities during spellwork is okay.
Asking deities to help during spellwork is okay.
Asking deities for help in general is okay.
This is your relationship with your deities in your practice. Don't let anyone tell you what you can and can't do. 🫶
It's 2am, please forgive me if there are any mistakes!

13. Dike - goddess of justice
14. Sphrosyne - goddess of self-control

Your worship is beautiful.
Whether you have a grand altar or a single candle.
Whether you offer expensive wines or water.
Whether you burn carefully crafted herbal bundles or walmart brand incense.
Whether you dedicate your life strictly to your deities or if you dedicate a few minutes to them a day or week.
Whether you believed every myth or you interpret them in your own way.
Whether you practice openly or privately.
Whether you follow ancient practices or make your own.
Your worship is valid, and it is beautiful.

From what I understand you are a pagan, if I'm correct are you able to explain (or link to articles and such) what paganism is and the core beliefs?? I'm always curious abt other religions as in heavily questioning what I believe right now :)
Hi! I am a pagan and polytheist and have been so for 8+ years
A pagan is typically described as someone holding beliefs outside the main religions (for example, I specifically am a Kemetic (Ancient Egyptian Gods) and Hellenic (Ancient Greek Gods) pagan)
Polytheist is one who believes in multiples Gods
Regarding core beliefs that's a hard ones lol
Regarding being a Kemetic pagan - one of the core beliefs is the following of Ma'at and Zep Tepi. Ma'at is the Goddess representation of truth, justice, and law. Zep Tepi means roughly means 'first time' and in Kemetic Orthodoxy (which I am part of for 6+ years) we believe each day is a new day to change and be better and grow!
I used to be a Shemsu in KO but recently dropped down a little as I had some issues regarding the accessibility of it (for example - some rituals have to be in person and as a poor person and someone whos mindful of folks with disabilities (and someone who is autistic themselves) who limit their ability to travel - this bothered me deeply)
My Shemsu name is Sonebiyinepu meaning 'Yinepu heals me' My Divine father is Yinepu (Anubis) and Beloveds (sorta like aunts and uncles) are Amun-Ra, Heru-Wer (elder Horus), Sokar-Wesir (Sokar-Osiris), and Sekhmet-Mut. My father always comes first in worship and He is DEEPLY important to me
For Hellenic, its been a long time since I have dug into Hellenic and such as I worked with Hades when I first looked into paganism (then I moved to Kemetic and recently I'm in both lol). Others with far more research into it may have an answer on core beliefs there!
Not sure if this answered exactly what you asked!

Autistic pagan here! And yes, this is a big fucking problem I’ve got.
it sucks—I’ll try to put in as much as I can, but it only goes so far.
Any other neurodivergent pagans feel like they don't really feel love towards their gods, due to lack of ability to express emotions, and seeming uninterested in prayers?
Cuz i do 😭

🔥 Subtle Loki Worship 🐎
Sitting around a bonfire or campfire, especially with loved ones
Being kind to children; playing with them if offered
Supporting organizations focused on marginalized groups; spreading the word, donating, volunteering, etc.
Supporting organizations focused on children and children's safety
Volunteering at a homeless shelter or an animal shelter
Teaching yourself that it's ok to ask for help, even if you don't receive it at first
Seeking out a community you can join; this will help with creating a support system as well; LGBTQ+ support groups, gamer groups, fandom groups, etc.
Having horse, snake, raven, or wolf imagery around; having skull imagery is also cool, but may not be acceptable in all households
Engaging with your childhood media or toys
Having literally any stuffed animals
Keeping a list of jokes and quotes that make you laugh
Supporting animal conservation efforts
Learning to accept yourself for who you are; embracing unique aspects of your identity, especially those that are looked down upon by others
Showing support for marginalized groups, such as being an LGBTQ+ ally or purchasing from POC small business owners
Identifying your strengths and weaknesses; finding healthy ways to acknowledge them both
Learning new ways of coping with emotional turmoil, including mental illness related situations
Listening to scary stories
Having a candle that reminds you of him (no altar needed)
Collecting lost or interesting objects (so long as it's not reclaimed first lol)
Being a little mischievous/silly with loved ones
Finding little ways to express yourself if you can't do so openly (e.g. wearing a bracelet with the colors of your gender identity, wearing shoelaces with pride flag colors that aren't easily recognizable, etc.)
Being kind to yourself when you're having a difficult time
Learning to forgive yourself for past mistakes you've made
Sleeping with comfy blankets
Drinking hot chocolate
Eating candies and sweets or spicy foods
-
May add more later! So far, this is my list of discreet ways to worship Loki. Hope this helps, and take care, y'all!
