I am… no birdologist… (I know there’s a real word, but it’s 4 in the morning and it is not coming to me so BIRDOLOGIST IT IS) but I feel like it probably takes a respectable amount of muscle to fly? You are supporting your whole bird body and propelling yourself through the air and all. Probably takes some strength.

Headcanon that Icky has never once lost an arm wrestling match.

It’s the single thing he has over Calamity, and she finds it INFURIATING.

Like, you wouldn’t know it to look at him cuz he’s really skinny and gangly looking with no visible muscle, but he’s actually really strong. Clark discovered this by accident back when they were classmates, and after 2.5 seconds was DELIGHTED, and immediately began using it for evil.

Like. They’re at a party or something thrown by another classmate. Icky doesn’t know the guy that well and suspects he was mostly invited out of politeness. He spends a while reading by himself (while the other guests socialize like normal people) when Clark suddenly appears and loudly bets a full bottle of cider that nobody here can beat his friend Ichabod at arm wrestling.

Icky’s immediate reaction, of course, is “WHAT. NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT.” This is stupid, and childish, and he doesn’t appreciate being volunteered for stuff without being asked, and he has no intention of doing it, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, CLARK.

Or at least, he doesn’t until someone laughingly says something to Clark like “I’d have more of a challenge against a scarecrow!”

At which point Ichabod narrows his eyes,

puts the book down,

sets an arm on the table,

stares at the guy who said that

and raises an eyebrow.

So the guy comes over and makes a big deal about going easy on him until Icky says in a bored voice “Try.” 

So then he does, because YOU ASKED FOR IT YOU SKINNY LITTLE TWIT, and is shocked to discover he’s having no effect.

Like he’s straining his ass off, and Icky’s hand isn’t even moving. Icky’s not even bothering to push back, he’s just waiting. 

Then, after letting him struggle for a few seconds more, Icky smacks the guy’s hand down on the table without even changing his expression.

He ends up going against everyone at that party (Minus Clark) and wins every single match. Clark gets his cider. Icky tells him rather huffily as they leave that he will NOT be doing that again. And he doesn’t! 

Not until Hollow throws a big festival with out of towners.

Who are perfectly willing to take what looks like an easy bet against a skinny kid.

And he and Clark are out of money to buy festival food.

…Clark is a terrible influence.

Usually when Corn summons wind it's because hes escaping an uncomfortable or situation or he wants to run away
