Eventually, she left him behind to spend some time with Jac and work on teaching him how to fetch - which he finally learned! I'm doing a bit of a mini challenge with Jac, where I want him to learn all the trained commands!

Since they both had a day off, Hunter took Cinderella to Myshuno Meadows for a nice day at the park. Even though it's not her favorite, she even decided to fish with her dad and finished her aspiration doing so!

Seasons changed and Hunter and Cinderella were settled in the city. Hunter got to keep his job, transferring to an open position in San Myshuno and Cinderella would be attending the city's elementary school at the end of Summer break. Things were looking up and yet, he was still struggling with this midlife crisis and the loss of Snow.

So, he made the next step in moving forward.

It wasn't long after Hunter went to bed himself when Cinderella rushed into his room to wake him up. Maybe it was the new bed or the stress of the move but the monster under Cinderella's bed returned and she couldn't deal with it again by herself.

Hunter: Mr. Monster, *yawns* I'm going to have to ask you to leave! Cinderella needs all of her sleep and so do I...

Hunter: I think we're going to be just fine here, Ella. It's gonna be a little different from Henford but we can be at home here in San Myshuno.

Snow cooked all her food with love and the best meal Hunter could provide was ordering a pizza. He wasn't sure how well he was going to do this whole "single parent" thing but at least Cinderella seemed okay.

The new apartment was nice but devoid of the warmth and coziness of their cottage home - especially without their family pictures on the walls. Her father wasn't ready to display them, so Cinderella kept them in her mother's keepsake box in her room.

They could afford bigger and better with all the money he and Snow saved up - a penthouse suite if they wanted - but Hunter was a practical man and knew this was all they needed for now.

Unfortunately, things were a bit harder for Hunter. The sudden loss of his wife caused him to develop a midlife crisis. Waking up in their bed alone, going through life in the cottage - Snow's cottage, without her there made him angry, tense or sad each day. Cinderella’s smiling face helped him to keep going but he knew things wouldn’t get better unless they made some kind of change.

And Jac stayed right by her side until Cinderella began to feel like smiling again. Things would never be the same without her mom but she didn’t want to be sad forever. Snow wouldn’t want her to. She’d want her to be kind and to take care of those around her and so that’s what Cinderella would do.

As soon as they got back to the cottage, Cinderella snatched up her mother's keepsake box off the shelf and took it back to her room. Going through Snow's treasured items only seemed to make her miss her even more. What was she going to do without her?

Before her tears could fall, however, Jac sprinted up the stairs and into her arms. She wouldn't have to face this alone, not with her best friend around.

Introduction

Hi! I'm an anonymous asker who sends fellow simmers questions. "Simblr Question of the Day" is something I saw going on around September '23 and I wanted to revive this "trend"! After a bit, some simmers suggested a SQOTD blog, to which I agreed and finally did it! I can broaden my asking horizons to blogs w/o anons now :)

I'm going to continue preserving my anonymity, but I'd like to share some basics about me ! ~

You can call me squat or squatty! A name I chose based on the way I pronounce "SQOTD," You can also call me SQOTD Anon! I like the colors yellow and pink/red, I've been playing the sims since I was 5 and I like to read and write :)

And below the cut will include a little rundown of how I will run this blog and navigation hashtags ~

-I will queue a question for once a day around 4am-5am PST, I will try to vary the type of questions (builds/renders/cas/sims/ocs). -Interact with these posts in anyway you prefer: reblog, reply or a separate post! (make sure to tag me ;p) -I FULLY encourage YOU to continue sending asks with SQOTDs (crediting/tagging me is optional). I don't expect every simblr to know about this blog and SQOTD is intended to be a community thing, so while this blog will extend SQOTD reach, asks will spread even further -If you have your own SQOTD, you can send me an ask with your q! -Since this isn't my main blog, I probably won't follow others, but I will check into the "SQOTD" tag, leave likes on SQOTD answers and maybe even reblog answers -For the first week or so after making this blog, I will still send SQOTDs while also letting simmers know the existence of this blog, I also do not want to stop sending asks cold turkey :) (<- I'll remove this after a while)

It wasn't long until Hunter and Cinderella came home and discovered the tragedy that occurred while they were away. Finding the magically disguised Estrella outside, Hunter pieced together what happened and could only sob for his wife - and the broken promise he made to her.
