Jack eventually convinced the others to send him back to the Therapy Game. And even though Vlad had a (mostly) positive experience, they are so worried after Jack broke down when he returned from his last session.

Saiwa: "Be careful. Leave whenever you feel uncomfortable." Jack: "I will." Tiny Can beeped exitedly and started the Game.

Jack was still locked up. But he kept himself from screaming 'OUT!' and tried to get himself together. This. Is. Just. A. Game. Breathe in through the nose and out through the muzzle. Just like Saiwa tought him. He managed to calm down a bit and looked around. There was NPC Barfolomew! And NPC Uncle Stefan on the stands! What a strange place. Is this a court hearing? They won't execute him, will they?

NPC Barfolomew stood up: "Are you ready Boys?" A growl and a rattle from the cell next to Jack answered him ö.Ö' There is another wolf captured here. And from the stand Jack heard the crowd chant: "Wolfsbane! Wolfsbane! WOLFSBANE!!!" Just like last time. Barfolomew is obviously the bookmaker here.

He opened their cells (finally!) and they stepped out. Jack looked around. Of course there is also an NPC Greg! He is so going to have a word with Tiny Can when he's back! At least there's no gallow or pyre.

The Queen hissed: "Who is this pooch and why isn't he greeting his Queen?" Barfolomew: "Forgive him, Your Royal Highness! He probably grew up in the woods!"

And to Jack: "Hey, Moonchild! Get yourself together!" And so Wolfsbane and Moonchild greeted the Queen and her entourage.

Which consisted of no lesser than Noxee, Ji Ho and: Caleb! OMG! (The Boys met Caleb Vatore last Winter Solstice ^^') Even though Jack knows that these are only NPCs, he's so excited. Noxee! And Caleb! He already regrets that he left the game early last time. And Ji Ho looks so beautiful!

Barfolomew went back to his table. Jack Moonchild and Wolfsbane stood opposite of each other. So these are wolf fights! Barfolomew shouted: "The bets are placed. Leeet's get ready to rrrumble!" And the crowd cheered and chanted their 'Wolfsbane!' fan chants...

Wolfsbane hugged Jack Moonchild and whispered: "Don't worry, I'll go easy on you!"

Caleb does not seem to like what he sees.

Despite Wolfsbane's promise, it was a rough fight. But Jack Moonchild enjoyed it. He loves a good fight - and he's the Super Soldier after all :3

Neither is giving anything away. Caleb's eyes are locked on the combatants.

'Well, in the Euston Tavern you screamed it was your shout But they wouldn't give you service so you kicked the windows out They took you out into the street, kicked you in the brains So you walked back in through a bolted door and did it all again

At the sick bed of Cúchulainn we'll kneel and say a prayer And the ghosts are rattling at the door and the devil's in the chair, hey'

It was an equal fight but Jack Moonchild won in the end. And Caleb looks shocked. It seems he placed his bets on Wolfsbane.

The Queen stepped down to congratulate Moonchild and extolled them for the enthralling fight. His beloved, beautiful Noxee. Best therapy ever! In this world he is not the damaged, mangled wolf with a bag full of disorders. Here he can show his talents and gather positive experiences in a safe surrounding. Good job, Tiny Can! And maybe, in this game, Noxee is not together with Greg and Jack can woo her and become her King! If Greg were her King, he would sit next to her, wouldn't he? Poor defeated Wolfsbane can't look pouting Caleb in his sulking eyes.

Hey! I just wanted to say thanks for all the information you share regarding reshade. You've been my primary resource when it came to me making my own presets. Just wondering how the new relight performs differently in the game. You said it now works? It already seems to work great as is so it's hard to imagine it working even better but that's exciting!

Hi! I'm glad I've been able to help you along your ReShade journey!

qUINT_ReLight worked absolutely fine in TS4, but the one released in December, MartysMods_ReLight, wouldn't compile under dx9 (this was a compiling problem on Marty's end, he didn't realise it didn't work until I told him). He's put heaps of work into it since then, and now it does compile under dx9 (although needed a couple of last minute fixes the past couple of days - he doesn't have many dx9 games so relies on testers to spot things!).

The way ReLight's settings look changed between qUINT_ReLight and December's MartysMods_ReLight, and they've changed even more for this release. Basically the only settings that look the same when compared to the shader guide I made for it are how to position the point lights and that there are sections for 4 lights. Everything else has changed.

There is now a new light option, which creates a directional light that you can't move in terms of where it's placed but it casts shadows in different directions uniformly across the screen. There is SSS (sub-surface scattering), and the way you choose the colour of lights has also changed (instead of a colour picker now there are two sliders for temperature and tint).

I'll write a new guide at some point, once I've had more time to play around with it and can do it justice.

This latest ReLight does have a few little quirks in dx9 games. The shadows can sometimes be a little noisy, and it also suffers from some lines at the edges of cast shadows (similar to MartysMods_MXAO in dx9). This is a dx9 limitation unfortunately, and as Marty continues to iterate on his shaders to make them more powerful and better quality, dx9 implementation simply won't be able to keep up with it.

That's why some people may decide that for TS4 they prefer to stick with the older qUINT_ReLight version. It still works perfectly well, and doesn't have those little quirks that the newer, more advanced version has introduced.

However, you can choose instead to use DXVK to simulate TS4 running with the Vulkan api instead of dx9, which will banish those quirks, and let you use all of the various shaders that don't work at all or don't work very well under dx9.

To use DXVK, remove ReShade first (back up your ReShade installation beforehand in case you need it), and then just drop the correct DXVK dll file into your TS4 Bin folder. Then, you'll need to reinstall ReShade using the installer, and this time choose Vulkan as the api instead of dx9. ReShade will install as normal, and you can go ahead and use it as you normally would, but now with access to more advanced and fun shaders.

Oh, do I have some OC questions in a notepad document for you. For Tobias, is he the person he thought he'd be when he was little? And for Circe, what comes to mind when she thinks of home?

Oh sweet give me all the questions I still have like 4 and a half hours left 💀 When Tobias was really young he wanted to be a physicist like his father was and was working towards an education degree so he could eventually be a professor, also like his father, but after he passed his life kinda went on pause, he left college and hasn't been back and took up writing originally as a freelance side-hustle before getting his own literary agent, so now it's more of a permanent, which he's not mad about. Circe's idea of home is her grandmother's small cottage that she grew up in, her parents just kinda dropped her off there after she showed some latent magic abilities and didn't know how to deal with it. A smell that'll instantly teleport her back there is honeysuckle and a roux cooking on the stove :)

29. What gameplay/CAS/BB feature would you like to see added/changed in the game?

I need the ability to apply makeup and accessories to all outfits in CAS like yesterday. This seems so simple. Why hasn't it happened? I would also like to see the Sims team release more unique gameplay objects for hobbies and activities. So many things are recycled. Why do kids have 8000 variations on the same old activity tables and dollhouses? Why do we still only have three instruments? Let's stop doing the bare minimum!

Hi! It's Ily (the person behind windslar) and I don't know what I'm doing but, for some reason still unclear to me, I decided to make a sideblog.

The idea of a cc finds blog is overwhelming to me so this place won't strictly be that, but I will start reblogging what I would've normally saved in my drafts folder. Hopefully, I'll get back to reblogging posts I love on my main (since that's where I have followers and where reblogs actually have a chance of reaching new people, lol). But maybe, eventually, this space will have more of all that. And maybe some updates and behind-the-scenes of the gameplay I post on my main blog? My attempt at creating a personal save file? Other non-sims things? Who tf knows?

In keeping with tradition, I decided to base my username on a neighbourhood in the game. I was going to name this properly after that island in Brindleton Bay, but I liked this version better so here we are.
