Yup I know some artists who are part of the community. If what you are looking for is to make mutuals, I don't recommend Tumblr, there aren't many active people here. I suggest you go to Twitter (I refuse to call it x) and Instagram, there are very nice and sweet people there. As far as I know on Twitter there are at least 2 gorillaz communities, these are:
1gtwt (Gorillaz in general).
2dinamicswap au (the name itself says it XD).
and as far as being part of them, well...
I'm terrible at talking so I limit myself to giving a like and commenting rarely.
Likewise, I have met very talented and incredible people, I assure you that you will be able to get along very well with many of them.
