The White Mouse is such a cutie, and it’s one of my favorites that I owned! Mine was named Marshmallow, which is a rather fitting name in my opinion. It certainly looks like a little marshmallow, and it’s just as soft! <3

What are your favorite and least favorite Webkinz if you could only pick five of each? Why?

Awesome question! I could probably go on and on about my personal taste in Webkinz, so I’ll try to keep it brief so you don’t have to scroll for ages to read my answer lmao.

My five favorites aren’t in any particular order, but my five least favorites will be ranked as a countdown with my absolute least favorite being #1

Favorites (these were super hard to pick)-

#1. Pitbull Puppy - Honestly my reasoning for this just comes down to how absolutely adorable it is! I adore pitbulls irl, and the bluish grey color of the Webkinz Pitbull Puppy’s fur is my favorite pitbull coat color! I also love the details of the plush’s face, it’s little pink spot around it’s nose is so sweet <3

#2. Sabertooth Tiger - Sabertooth tigers are probably my favorite prehistoric animal, so the Webkinz sabertooth get’s an automatic 1000/10 for me! I’m glad they went for a more cartoony look for it, I think it fits super well. It looks like the material it’s made from is super soft, too!

#3. Trick or Treat Troll - I love Halloween! I feel like this ‘kinz just meshes well with my personality, as I also enjoy dressing up and eating candy lol

#4. Cocoa Dinosaur - How could anybody not love this one? It just looks so soft and cuddly, and I wish I had been able to get my hands on one when it was still being produced. It absolutely would’ve been a childhood favorite, and I can definitely see it having a place among my bed plushies nowadays lol

#5 Whimsy Dragon - Last but certainly not least! This is the only Webkinz on this list that I’ve actually owned, and I think it’s one of the rarer ones, which is pretty neat imo. I won’t go into too much detail about it here, but the story of how I got my Whimsy Dragon, Sparkle, is pretty sweet, so I have a soft spot for this particular Webkinz.

Least Favorites-

#5 Texting Puppy - Now, I don’t hate this ‘Kinz by any means, I think it’s kinda cute, actually... but it’s so incredibly dated that I cannot take it seriously. It lowkey resembles a product some boomer made to make fun of “kids these days”

#4 Zombie Pup - I think this one is really cool in theory, I’m just not super big on it’s execution ^^; The plush itself is fine, I think it’s pretty cute, but it’s virtual avatar just kinda... creeps me out in a bad way. It sort of reminds me of some kind of cursed video game creepypasta. I think my biggest problem with it is the stitched mouth tbh. While it looks fine on the plush, it just looks wrong on the virtual pet. Idrk how to explain it.

#3 The Butterflies - Okay, this may be cheating a bit since I didn’t pick a specific one, but in my defense, they all look pretty much the same just with different colors. I just don’t think any of them look good and they kinda weird me out a lil bit.

#2 Puckerfish - This pet looks just as uncomfortable as I felt when I first learned about it’s existence (/hj). Idk what they were trying to do here, but this ain’t it, chief.

#1 Glamour Gecko - When I first read the ‘least favorite’ part of this question, this Webkinz came to my mind immediately, and I didn’t even know what it was called!! I don’t wanna be too mean about any Webkinz because it might be somebody out there’s favorite... but I don’t think it looks good, like, at all. GANZ definitely missed the mark on this one imo, and it’s my all time least favorite Webkinz.

Today’s Webkinz Pet of the Day is the Domino Cat!!

I feel like I had this guy at some point, but it’s not on my childhood Webkinz account. Idk if I’m just misremembering or if it was some “Webkinz being sent to the shadow realm” glitch ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

Anyway, aside from the Cheeky Cats, I’m a big fan of the Webkinz cats! They’re very friend shaped.

To be honest, I’m not super big on the Cheeky Cats. I can absolutely see why someone would be into them, though! Even though they don’t hit right for me, I know there’s people out there who adore the puffy cheeks and the smile, and that’s great! I think there’s a person for every Webkinz. I do definitely think the Cheeky Cat looks better in grey than in orange, though.

Today’s Webkinz Pet of the Day is the Cairn Terrier!!

I’ve always thought Cairn Terriers were a cute breed, and they definitely make for an adorable Webkinz! It’s a virtual exclusive, but it definitely would’ve been a good candidate for a plush pet! I love its little ears ;w;

Did you know that in The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy’s dog, Toto, was played by a female Cairn Terrier named Terry? Terry was born in 1933, and during her lifetime she appeared in 23 films! For her work in The Wizard of Oz, she was paid 125 dollars per week, which was more than some of her human costars, and even the average working American at the time. Due to the popularity of the Wizard of Oz, Terry’s name was officially changed to Toto in 1942.

Pet of the Day 002

Today’s Webkinz Pet of the Day is the Black Lab!!

The black lab is another cutie which I’ve always adored. I had a Webkinz black lab myself named Lucy, and I’m pretty sure she was one of the first few I got after Cookie.

While I was doing the research to make the wheel I use to choose the Pet of the Day, I noticed something interesting; theres the Black Lab that I’m familiar with AND a separate Black Labrador (not the signature version). To me the two plushes look very similar except for the texture of the fur (the Black Labrador seems to have a more fleece-y texture than compared to the classic lab, maybe someone who actually owned the Labrador can confirm?) and the only difference between the in-game avatars seems to be the length of the ears.

Due to these pretty minor differences I’ve decided to remove the Labrador from the wheel and include it as a PotD Honorable Mention! This will happen for any future pets I come across that have similar circumstances (idk if there are any others tbh), but Signature Pets will be left in the running!
