Others, they struggle for even half of this.

You're still somewhere near; I lost sight of it. Unsteady hands grip the tree bark. It's another sale! I saw.

Lucky. Lucky. Lucky.

Something hits my ear, a bad case of tinnitus drew a line through the trees. It's getting overwhelming. You're still breathing, and I am, too. You move the same way you breathe. It blurs into the treeline. I'm getting sick of it-

Romance. Romance, something tempered into the very shape of the river, that his heart swells to notice and sink into-

But it's not something he seeks out. Not in that way. No, it's the resigned life of a birdwatcher: to watch, and love, and love, and love, while the birds pay no mind to him.

There's a contentedness to it, long since settled into. It's peaceful.

Though, that's not to say, he doesn't think it would be nice. A conscious, purposeful sharing... No, it'd be lovely, he thinks.

But he doesn't 'date'. He doesn't experiment, 'test the waters' as they say. He doesn't quite grasp how others can... He merely loves.

78. empty seats on the late night train

... Doesn't it feel kind of hollow?

At some point, he started thinking, is there a glitch? This painted over the usual curiosities for a game; What does boss have in mind this time? Where are we going? Maybe it's a 'train murder mystery' kind of game~ But eventually, it became, is there a glitch? And then, is it me?

Ahhh~ But he's never been the best judge of what's going on, really.

It feels hollow. To him. That feeling is waived a bit by 26's presence-- But 18's eyes keep locked to the window, and the colors that paint the other guy's self only bounce clumsily of the dark glass. There's some kind of metaphor there?

Hm...

"Any guesses~?" He chimes, normally. "Where this thing's taking us~?" Normally- with hands folded in his lap, and a lopsided smile. Proof that his body is inhabited, despite it feeling just as empty as every other sack of leather in this cart. ... To him.

He leans back, as his arm goes forward-- One by one, the cards are dished  out, acting on his base assumption in an embarrassing sort of way. But it’s a low-stakes move... Enough games start with the same kind of hand.

At any rate, he hopes this ‘unstylish’ form falls further into your favor. Thinking aloud this way is an unfamiliar route, but guess it’s not so awful.

“You said, ‘No crown rests in my closet.’ If you lack that.. You don’t know it, but will play anyway?

“If that’s true, it’s fine, but I gotta know. This ‘closet’...”

However... is that a joke that goes over your head?

A chuckle to confirm, yes, he is asked quite often. Though your form doesn’t draw a sigh. Interested, wishing to further this play- That is his favorite context for questions.

There’s a lack of style in ‘asking for clarification’, though. He didn’t think he could go very long without it, of course; Woe, for as much charm as he tries to fit into this persona, he is but a whopping eighteen grams smaller.

“... You get that a lot, right? ‘What does that mean’.   For context.. Is the question you’re answering, ‘do ya want to play it,’ or ‘do ya know it’?”

A shake of his head to contrast your movement. Following to the table to complement your stride. He’ll take a seat, an interest in you already clear in his narrowed eyes.

“No crown rests within my closet. Care to place one?”

Well, he should probably say as much out loud, to confirm- ( from his observations, you like hearing stuff like that, right? ) But see, it’s easier to just grab what’s positive from the other’s body language, and use that ~kinetic energy~ to propel himself toward a table, nodding as he goes.

Appearance is the most important thing in the world. He'd rather die than be caught without makeup. When you're on tv, if you satisfy one eye, you satisfy a billion eyes, so make sure it catches your best angle. Clothes and hair and makeup are core, if you can change them to match the inner you, then you're set. Octopi can recognize faces... why would you want one to get the wrong impression of you?

Think of the octopi. They know you. They know when you're lying to yourself.

Et cetera.

It's a hobby, but looking right feels good. He spoils himself because he knows what he wants, he's the only one who can.

Plus, he has the free time... Sky's the limit.

Companionship... huh?

He's never really thought of it like that. People just tend to happen around him, and some of them stick. Like a fresh coat of glue.

He values them, of course. Well, some more than others... And 'being alone' - That's never felt like an option to him. I mean, he has Navi at all times, right? She's not a person, but she might as well be.

Desire. Prefer... He doesn't know. He doesn't really seek out anything. Not making new friends, or being alone... Well, there's times where he needs to be alone for a bit, just to recharge. But... guess... If that stretched on for more than a few hours, he'd probably start to get pretty stressed. It'd be weird. Like white noise- It'd be too freaky to go without.

If he were alone, in a new place, with new people... Guess it wouldn't take him too long to try finding someone, just to keep his sanity intact.

A lot smarter than he lets on, for sure. 'A gifted kid, a natural'-- Though he never really bought all that. The thing is... He's so enamored with everyone else, it's hard to put himself on any kind of pedestal? It feels wrong. He's pretty average, he thinks-- Maybe even lower! He's not someone who's all that impressive, in his own eyes. Everyone is smart. Everyone has the most useful information possible in their niche. It's not so much that he puts himself down, but he raises everyone else so high that he might as well be--

But he is smart, despite what he'd say. Observant, especially. He's good at reading people, and putting the dots together to pin motives behind their actions, things of that nature. 'Street Smart', I guess this would end up being, but academics came pretty easily to him too, because of that kind of skill. It's just... natural-- And maybe his parents did some good work solidifying it when he was young, but... Yeah-

But he'll keep it to himself, unless it's too important to wait. The 'satisfaction of solving'.... that's way lower to him than the joy of watching someone else solve it.
