lots of times if I tell my boyfriend that I am proud of him for dealing with a situation, or that I'm sorry he's having to deal with a situation, he will say "no it's my own fault." meaning that he feels like he doesn't deserve praise or comfort for dealing with a situation that is his fault. (for example a financial problem caused or exacerbated by him having been too anxious or absentminded to deal with the situation sooner.) and I tell him this and I will tell y'all this, that I don't believe that. I think you are even braver and stronger for taking steps to deal with a mess that is of or partly of your own creation, because you have to cope with guilt and shame on top of the thing itself, and because you're fighting against the same ingrained dysfunction in yourself that caused the mess. that's like the bravest and most constructive thing you can do and you should be proud and I am proud of you.

Goats are Wisconsin's favorite animal. He ranks #1 in the US for milk goats.

Wisconsin has a close friendship with Germany, as his population has a 36.1% German ancestry and also bc of their shared love of cheese and beer.

He can speak a little German and Spanish, but is only fluent in English

Out of all the states, he's one of the more "just an average guy" kind of person, as he tends to rank more in the middle in birth and causes of death data.

The headcanons are listed in the notes, but they were ones about Gov having nightmares during election years [A mood] and lacking ANY sort of sleep schedules, as well as calling Virginia "dad" when he's tired. All together it was irresistible. I am a huge sucker for Gov and his relationship --or lack thereof-- to the original states.

A sketch of Gov in the new episode 🐶! I always kinda imagined Gov to look pretty much how he is portrayed in the episodes tbh so I never bother to make him that much of a separate design 🤔 BUT also this is an excuse to educate y'all on federal land. It will be under the cut for those who wanna learn.

What does Federal Land mean for a state?

Well, this is something I think a lot of folks in here (the fandom) needs to know, because I just see people jump to conclude Gov is horrible towards Nevada. That is not the case.

This is just the basics, but federal land literally just conserves, manages, and protects natural resources and wildlife. For example, national parks are federal lands. You'd notice this because of how western states tend to have more wildlife than the east. And how federal land is mostly administered by agencies such as the BLM, FWS, NPS, and USFS, which all are catered towards handling wildlife and resources.

Federal land also tends to consist of land that states cannot easily manage or utilize, which for Nevada it's pretty easy to notice, as most of Nevada is semi-arid and desert, meanwhile land more available to use, like by rivers and other water sources are not usually federal land.

Historically, up until 1976, you could easily just claim a homestead of hundreds of acres! The Federal Government just ended up taking what nobody else really wanted because they couldn't live there anyways. It's why Nevada has so much Fed Land, and now that land is managed by agencies; and in Nevada's case, most of it is under the Bureau of Land Management. This is why Nevada's population only resides in no more than 20% of the land. Because they bought it as they could use it and live in it, even then they don't use much of the full 20% that is accessible to them.

And it's not as if federal land is completely off-hands, people hunt, hike, camp and fish in federal land all the time! Take Alaska for example, who's 60%+ federal land, in terms of Alaska's size that's a LOT of land, yet Alaska is one of or the best state when it comes to fishing and hunting either way, and Alaska's natural beauty remains largely untouched and unbothered (at least directly).

There is also the fact that if a crime is committed on federal land, it instantly becomes punishable to a higher degree than it would on state grounds, as it becomes of federal interest.

So no, Nevada being 80% federal land isn't bad for him. It's just Gov taking up and protecting what Nevada can't really utilize or manage easily.

Okay so my favorite idea is that he is the same person, but only sort of.

@greatinternetllama I believe did a breakdown of the different evidence for and against DC and Gov being the same people, showing things like DC picking a tie color and checking himself in the mirror. As well as the fact that Old DC shows up in the videos. [Now Past Admin.]

I think they are the same, mostly. In fact, i like an idea that I found in this fic by Creativity_Unrestrained. To sum up how I see it, Gov IS like a snake. Shedding one skin for another with each administration, and always with the hope that this one he will dislike less. He remembers doing things as that previous person. Remembers specific events even [Such as the time Jackson nearly killed a dude in the capital building or sending the army to stop a riot in West Virginia or The Iran Contra Scandal.] But that isn't This Gov. That was Past Gov. Who might have even gone by a different classification like DC, The Fed, whatever.

ALSO! I think the "Old DC" we see in the episode 46 is not DC at all. I think DC took the opportunity to change his name plate to "Gov" since things were changing anyway. But someone still needed to fill that slot. And what anxious and exhausted personification had recently been replaced by Drew Lynch? Why CDC of course! I personally think that they [nebulous hand waving at whoever is in charge of these personifications] dragged that poor man out of retirement to be the Past Admin. He's different now because he embodies the vibe of the past administration better, and he's on those Good Drugs now. But that's still who I believe is Old DC/Former Guy/Past Admin.

Of course, this is all my own reading/interpretation. Ben himself said there is no real *canon* for these goofy little guys. Believe what you want about the art!

I just started watching Star Trek Next Generation and I love it. I could go on for hours about all the stuff that makes this show great but honestly I just have to talk about Data. He's incredible, perfect, splendid. I wonder if the creators of the show knew how many girls would simp for this silly android. Like Riker is right there. He's strong, brave, charismatic and handsome. Yet I am totally completely obsessed over this goofy ass silver man. There isn't nearly enough Data fan fictions on this app. This is a crime!

I can indeed take requests, though I haven't in some time. Luckily for you I have headcanons for both of these delightful beings!

Let's go alphabetically and start with Louisiana :)

The most normal name of the states, and therefor the one who receives the most mail. He spells his 'name' Louis, of course, because that is how the person he was 'named' for spelled it. It's still pronounced Loui don't fret.

A lover of Odd Museums. Like dinosaurs are very cool, and history is very Important, but Niche Museums are his joy.

Because of the state's reputation for magic and similar practices, most people assume Louis knows magic. So they tell him about their local magic or cryptic or the traditions immigrants brought along with them, or even just interesting myths or folklore they found on the internet. Now don't get him wrong, Louis is 100% capable of some magic, but he isn't really as into it as the stereotype would have you believe. Luckily(?) He likes the conversation too much to stop people most of the time.

Louisiana loves big gatherings. Louisiana loves showing people his state. Louisiana is constantly inviting states outside of his region to parties/meals/events/hang out. The South thinks this is very weird and constantly tries to dissuade him from the habit. Louisiana does not stop.

Now let's see what we have for The World's Grumpiest Bodega Cat, New York

He is alarmingly short for his population and area. He's just slightly below average human height, maybe 5'9", but he *feels* bigger. If asked him about it, he'd say it's because you're looking at him from the wrong angle before punching you to the ground.

He has a deep love of hiking, nature walks, and bird watching. It is not unusual to find New York on a path or trail, just soaking in fresh air, listening to a different sort of background noise.

THE most ecclectic music taste in the house. His Playlists are entirely unpredictable and totally random to anyone but him. Good news is he's great at making a playlist for abstract vibes. He and California make tons of them.

He is the author of so many petitions to give the Jets to New Jersey. So very many. He's also first in line for destroying MetLife stadium.
