I have observed that men with moon in 3rd house have mommy issues. Regardless of the signs it is placed in, but especially in the air signs. These men tend to talk very highly of their mother but tend to overlook the emotional neglect, dismissal and sabotage that their mothers placed in them. These men grow up with low self esteem and seek to find a woman who can fill the void that their mother left. Their mother could be a devouring mom who made them feel emasculate by smothering and controlling them a lot.

Unfortunately, many of them do not reach this self awareness and do not heal their mother complex. Their mother could be outwardly loving but inwardly had a complex relationship with them. Their mother also tend to have a lot of expectations from their son and the son feels guilty and weak later in life when trying to do self love.
