I just finished up Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree and it was absolutely delightful. Love me some high fantasy coffee shop lesbians!

It centers around an orc adventurer named Viv who, tired of life on the road, decides to put down roots and open up a coffee shop. But Viv's a sellsword with no sense for business, potentially dampening her dreams–until a succubus barista comes to the rescue. With these two at the core, a new found family begins to grow...

Seriously, if you're in the mood for some sapphic slice of life, this book is tremendously heartwarming. Give it a gander.

In high school, I did a favor for a friend and acted in an anti-bullying skit for an assembly, the gist of which was a senior girl yelling insults at me in front the rest of my grade. I walked off stage beet red and trembling, which I chalked up to stage fright, rather than what I later realized was every hormone in my body going super nova at once.

The reason bicyclists and motorcyclists refer to car drivers as "cagers" is you drive around with a metal/glass cage separating you from everyone else on the road. As such, you don't meaningfully interact with the environment, road conditions or other drivers. The cage confers upon you a decreased situational awareness and falsely-imposed sense of invulnerability. This leads to tons of bad driving habits like taking your eyes off the road to check your speed, text or mess with the radio.

For the sake of everyone else on the road, I urge you to combat this by practicing your situational awareness and being a good neighbor to all other traffic. Yes, that even includes pedestrians.

Remember... your car will always go in the direction your eyes are looking.

Oh, and for that matter, stop looking at your dashboard instrument panel to check your speed. Your eyes should never leave the road while the car is in motion.

Keep your head up, keep your goddamned eyes on the road and match the speed of traffic.
