hey! any tips on how to build a punk community?? i live in small town buttfuck nowhere, canada, surrounded by redneck cowboys and i am struggling ✋😔

Surrounded by redneck cowboys you say? 😏 LMAO but yes! I’d start trying to find people who like alternative music tastes or people who already have good political views, then I’d bring up the music in conversation and bring up politics of punk, and if they are interested you gotta pretty good shot they will be into punk. So maybe send them a little comp of some good punk bands instead of the base 3 beginner punk bands I also like to add a mix of punk sub genres to show em it isn’t all dumb whiney dudes . And if it works out then you got a new little punk friend.

What do you do after you make your punk friend?- shoot fireworks, stud jackets, drink beer and chaos walk you dumb fuck and have fun. make bitches punk

ay its me once again! (I asked for song requests lol) here with another question woo!

how the hell do you find shows! I’m not really on the internet much, I don’t have insta or facebook or anything bands use and I sure as hell don’t have friends that like punk and shit cause I go to a hick school, so I’m stuck when I try to go to shows. What is your was of finding them and such and on top of that how do I find all ages shows since I’m under 21?

Hi!!! I live near “music city” so finding that scene was pretty easy but in my opinion the music city (Nashville) scene sucks a lot and I would rather cough up nails so what I like to do is go on sites like bandcamp and looking up your state to find bands in your surrounding area and trying to narrow it down to the town these bands are at and looking up the bands on social media because of the high use of technology nowadays it’s almost necessary to have things like instagram even if that’s all you have, I myself find shows and flyers by finding a base scene ( Murfreesboro ) then finding bands who play there and checking their accounts and finding local band accounts can be super helpful because then you can find people in that scene by looking at tagged photographers in pictures or tagged venues or bands on posts about flyers which will lead you into finding more and more people. And always remember if your not a shit person from my personal experience making friends at your first show can be easy and the more shows you go to the more people you meet which will eventually become your scene! But finding a scene can be challenging and inconvenient if you live far from the scene personally I live a hour away so I’m not super close to the scene but in the meantime I would recommend as someone who goes to a hick school, find someone interesting or progressive that you become friends with and introduce them into punk music and slowly create little punx in your area.

How'd you make the belt bag?

I'm assuming you mean my black bag.

For it I took this military satchel thing and some "webbing straps" (it's that textured nylon straps) and painted them black with black gloss acrylic paint using a sponge brush in thin layers

Next I took the staps and sewed on the straps and top flap with a whip stich using black upholstery thread

(I also had to sew on some extra fabric because originally it was closed with buttons)

I then put on a zipper (Also with a whip stick and upholstery thread) and painted on a art piece from a subhumans record with a white acrylic paint marker
