Minoru is the protagonist for Parallel Memoria. He is designed to be 'perfect' to others' eyes. He can do anything and is able to adapt to any situation. This is however a flaw of his as he only takes logic into consideration and lacks emotions. He is also aware of this but is too afraid to change. He eventually learns how to appreciate life and stop looking down.

The Kneiders are well known for their red eyes and tendency for violence. Years back, they discovered a way to modify their genes and uses that to their advantages. Most of them possess superhuman endurance and strength, some of them are more tactical and intelligent than the other. This caused a lot of conflicts within themselves as most of them are interested in proving which one of them are the most superior. They are spread across the country, either making a name for themselves or living in secrecy; usually the latter. While having some sort of rivalry amongst themselves, they have one thing in common; to protect.

Chika is the youngest member of the antagonist team. She is not good at smiling and tends to be blunt with her words. She ran away from home when she was young and met Fathi and Kayl whom she sees as her older brother figures. She wants nothing but a happy life with them and the rest of the orphans.

A Vivid Performance (Kayl's Theme)

Kayl is the closest aide to Fathi. They are the polar opposite but works very well with each other. While Fathi works in the background, he takes the lead at the front. He likes singing and making jokes although the latter is not always well-received since he is apparently very bad at it. His efforts however will help others feel less awkward and be more comfortable around him.

Fathi and Hibiki are not so different from each other. However if there could be one thing that would set them apart, it is probably empathy. Fathi is charismatic yet is condescending and intimidating. He is intelligent and the city is basically his chessboard. His ability is feared the most as he is able to control others's minds. He strives to create a safe place for his friends whom he saw as his family. With his flawless strategies and vast connections, he is able to achive his goals.

Ryoko may or may not be a protagonist of the main series or another series, we will never know. We may also not know what is the meaning behind the title of this song for it should not matter whether she makes sense or not. A loner, the enigma. Very observant and curious, but also sometimes very detached. She lacks attention span and doesn't understand what there is to be forgiven or forgotten about something.

Mika appears to be idealistic and pacifistic, always thinking the best of and for others. In the story, her role is crucial in a way of communication and networking between the youths and the upper echelon of the city. She works closely together with them, gathering and giving feedbacks on how to improve any living situation of the people involved. She grew up in a pleasant environment, having received training and lessons on how to become a capable politician figure just like her father. Despite her sweet exterior, she's actually skilled in giving commands and a little bit of combat.

Hibiki is an individualistic, optimistic and passionate about the things he hold dear. He is gentle, charismatic and favoured by ladies. However, this personality of his is just a facade to his more apathetic sides. He always think one step ahead of anyone, foolproofing all of his strategies. While he is doubtful of everyone else, there are only a few set of people he truly trusts and loyal to. No matter how unorthodox his methods may be, he is willing to take down the world for them.

His eyes witnesses everything that happens in the city. Despite him wanting no part of them, he always found himself in the center of troubles. Although his expression often displeased, he is extremely reliable. In fact, when things ever go wrong or when you're in a pinch; call his name and he will appear before you. Even if he doesn't look like it, he fits all the classic tropes of a hero.

Crossroad City is a city of modern technology on the surface and aesthetically vintage in the underground, surrounded by ocean water. Connected with a large crossroad, there are four main districts on the surface; all of them serve different purposes. Underneath it is another city you can descend to with an elevator in the middle of the island. The underground is where the rough bunch gathered, often unsafe. It is however a good tourist attraction minus the occasional small crimes. The underground city is governed by the Underworld King with the help of four strongest factions. It is a city of Espers, gangsters, soldiers, superhumans and perhaps otherworldly beings such as magicians...
