i will say that erin hunter really cracked the code on how to make very easy and fun world building when they made the wc clans. like it’s literally so easy to make your own warriors ocs and clans and create stories, u barely have to read the books (u can literally just study on wikipedia or ask a wc friend abt it) and u can make an entire warriors clan in like two mins. it’s such a shame that they don’t utilize and expand their own world building

*slams fist on table* I couldn't watch Moon's video because I know she was right. Of course she was right! This is what I've been saying all along! Erin Hunter, wtf are you doing?!

I think it was Moon’s Bramblestar is Worse video that was the final nail in the coffin for me. I just can’t really enjoy canon anymore. I’m still glad Moon made that video and they are 100% correct, but it still hurts man. I’m not blaming Moon, I’m angry at the authors who let the things she pointed out happen.

I still like Warriors, but I think I’m gonna start just being engrossed in AUs now. Idk if I’ll even pick up another canon book agian lol

I will never forgive the Erins on how they wrote Brambleclaw/star and his relationship with Squirrelflight.

They decided to take an amazing concept of learning how to become your own person, pushing past the trauma from a parent and expectations to be a shitty person (everyone expecting Bramble to be just like Tigerstar) and they shit all over it.

They decided to make him into a piece of shit. Where the FUCK is the character development that should've happened during/after The New Prophecy arc? The Erins just wanted the children of Fire and Tiger to get together. They wanted to take the concept of a bickering, but loving couple into play, but they turned Bramble into a horrible cat.

That's not a good lesson to teach kids about trauma and relationships. Its bullshit. I'll never get over this. I'll die on the hill that Bramble x Squirrel deserved so much better writing.

Edit: ALSO How fucking DARE they have Squirrelflight go through all that BS. Nobody deserves this manipulation and treatment and have is disguised as "trust" and "love" and "bickering." NO. What kind of lesson is that for the young readers that read this?

im still so like. dsklsa MAD at how good of a character first arc yellowfang is and how she rly steals the show in terms of her personality and her whole arc but the erins fucked her up on oots by making her sympathize w ashfur when that is like. completely ooc for her.

a characterization of cloudtail i forgot about but love with all my heart: in forest of secrets cloudkit keeps getting in trouble cus he constantly sneaks out of camp with fernkit and ashkit, so he keeps getting punished to help the elders out, and it turns out that all the elders in thunderclan adore cloudkit and are his biggest supporters, to the point where when fireheart thinks that cloudkit accidentally gave them damp moss (which leads to stiff joints) every elder defends him and shoos fireheart away bc cloudkit is their favorite kit
