Seeing Lamb's bishop form has made me wonder how Ewe would look if she was the vessel who ascended instead. Any ideas for her design if their places were reversed?

Thank you so much!! It’s been a bit of a time the last few weeks, but I’m doing my best to keep posting regularly. 😭 As for your question…

The lamb is…aware of it, but sees the matter to be harmless (doesn’t mean they don’t get annoyed by it sometimes, though), and Narinder isn’t even in the know until later on when Lamb tells him about it.

Needless to say, Kallamar chills out and gets over it after the lamb, Narinder, and Ewe get married, only occasionally getting blushy when she does something particularly cute, and talking her up to others from an admiring but platonic point of view.

Been thinking about the changes my lamb would go through as far as ascension goes..

While it’s not without struggles, I think it’d be a pretty natural process, with them retaining their carefree spirit and sense of humor, just with more…regality.

And, while Narinder was originally insistent that he be on the top bunk, the very bottom bunk is really the best fit for him~ 😌 Of course, if any one of our three sillies here are absent, the same above and below placements apply for whoever’s present.

I’ve been checking my activity pretty regularly, but something could’ve flown under the radar…I answered one or two I hadn’t seen, and other than that there are two that are ones I’ve seen but haven’t completed because I’m strictly on mobile now and they’re those “answer these questions and tag more people” posts and those tend to be easier to do on my computer.. 😅

I’ll definitely do them once I return home, though! Also I never want to miss being tagged in something, so don’t be afraid to bring something like that to my attention if there’s something I haven’t interacted with! Including if I didn’t mention it here and there’s still something I’m missing. 🤔

How shy is Ewe, are they more open with their spouses or do they make friends with the other members of the cult

Speaking of which how is she around Leshy, Shamura, Heket and Kallamar?

She’s pretty damn shy, but still manages to mingle and make a few friends with her fellow flock members. As you mentioned, she is more open and talkative when it’s just her, the lamb, and Narinder (but still just as easy to fluster).

As far as how she is with the former Bishops…there’s differing levels of tension and an overall awkward air between each of them and Ewe, given past circumstances; they’re not 100% sure if she knows who they are, what they’ve done, and so on when she first joins the cult, and it stays that way for a while before said tension starts to break down.

But Leshy is the most troubled by her presence at first, Shamura usually isn’t lucid enough to know better, Heket doesn’t say much, and Kallamar struggles with a hefty combination of his fear of the lamb’s ire and the ironic feeling of butterflies that stir in his chest whenever he has to look at Ewe’s pretty face.

I love how you draw and until recently I realized that your drawings are almost all traditional (🤯) I wanted to ask, what kind of light/Filters do you use to take your photos and make them look so clear?

(And if by some chance I got confused and you do everything digital, it's a wow for my little brain)

No worries! Thank you for taking the time to submit your question~

I’ve done primarily digital art in the past (it always started with pencil on paper, but I later traced over it in Photoshop or CSP) but all of my Cult of the Lamb art has been traditional with some digital edits.

You asking about this got me thinking on how to put together a full run-down of how I do my art, but since I’m away from home (my scanner, computer, etc.) I’ll just give a short(ish) answer for now:

- Starting off, I try to keep my lines as clean as possible, and a kneadable eraser really helps with this since you can pinch the ends to a point to clean up in smaller areas and rub it over your sketch lines without completely erasing them or leaving behind marks or residue (I definitely recommend the Faber-Castell brand because they’re the most pliable ones I’ve used, last a long time so long as you keep them clean, and are widely available in arts & crafts stores as well as online)

- Obviously adjust these to your preferences, but when taking pictures of art on my phone (what I’ve been doing the last week or so) I reduce the Saturation to 0 to make it completely grayscale, up the Brightness (brightening the white of the paper), as well as raise the Black Point (darkening the pencil lines) ((also these are how those settings are named for iPhone, so it might vary between devices))

- When working with digital art software, the Levels tool is going to be the version of the Brightness & Black Point adjustments mentioned for mobile pictures; definitely have the Preview option applied, if available, so you can see the changes you’re making before accepting them (of course you can always Undo said change if you don’t like it).

Overall, though, the more work you put in when working on paper, the less adjustments and edits you’ll have to do later, so don’t skip on cleaning up lines, stray dots, graphite scratches, etc.

Anyway, I’m gonna’ leave things there, but I hope this helps for now! Happy drawing~! ✏️✨

So, I just binged all of your Ewe AU content and I have to know- you mentioned how long it took for Lamb and Nariander to get together- were they together when they found Ewe? If so, how long was she trapped for? I probably just misread something, but I do love me some angst.

Thankfully for you, my friend, loving angst is something you and I both have in common.

Narinder and the lamb were indeed together when they found Ewe! Happily married for a few years, in fact, after some drama and strife during the lengthy time that you mentioned. As for finding Ewe, it started with a key that the lamb had found with seemingly no match (they tried doors, chests - anything and everything with a lock - with no luck). At a loss, Narinder recommended asking the Mystic Dealer, partly due to the key’s winged design.

The Mystic Dealer confirmed it was a special key that could only be used if you already knew where its matching door led, which happened to be a sort of…”pocket dimension” (usually used to hide and stow treasure or any number of valuable things). On the other side of the newly-formed door was a lush-looking clearing, surrounded by woods similar to Darkwood, with a storehouse at its center.

This place was untouched by time, but time still seemed to pass. And that is where Ewe had been waiting, unable to escape, starve, grow old, or die. She fell into a catatonic state, already worn by the devastating sight of all her fellow sheep being dragged away to unknown fates, convinced she was doomed to reside in her prison for all eternity.
