“I'm a master at speaking silently, all my life I've spoken silently and I've lived through entire tragedies in silence.”

oh i ve got a sigma theory too,,,,
well because i'm greek and i really want the character named after a greek letter actually,,,,, being greek (so yeah i am both biased and projecting).
my bet is his Yiorgos Seferis/ George Seferis. Σεφέρης, his last name, starts with a Sigma letter, his patronymic is also Stelios which also starts with sigma, making his full name Γιώργος Σ. Σεφέρης (Yiorgos Sigma Seferis).
second, he isn't just some random poet, he won the Nobel Prize, and much of his work has been translated to japanese.
then his life, he was exiled from his birthplace of Izmir with his family (a few years before the rest of the minor asian greeks were victims of genocide) he spend many years working outside greece in foreign countries, exile and wandering are the main subejects in most of his poems (sigma backstory!!!!) and last but not least, his most famous poem is "Helen" it takes too much time to explain this poem but i ll do the summary:
the poem goes that there was no Helen in Troy, the real Helen was sent by the gods to Egypt and what was in troy was a "cloud" a fake Helen made by Them. Helen in this poem was a pawn to the gods, something to start their war and keep it going. The poem is the soldiers reaction to finding out that it was all for nothing.
heres the most known part:
"And the rivers swelling, blood in their silt,
all for a linen undulation, a filmy cloud,
a butterfly’s flicker, a wisp of swan’s down,
an empty tunic — all for a Helen."
this turned out too long, i am sorry, you can just delete it i just needed to scream abt it. It just makes a lot of sense to me and i can see sigma being isnpired by this poem about yk, a human that doesn't actually exist being used for a war and all that follows.
“so yeah i am both biased and projecting” is such a mood 💀 and dw im ngl ur theory makes a lot of sense if we look at the plot….so maybe ur onto something fr.
and i like that poem ;)

BSD Sigma Theory
Ive been seeing people speculate about if Sigma is based upon an author or not. Some of the most popular theories are that he is Sergey Nikolaevich Syromyatnikov who used Sigma as a pseudonym, BUT I raise you yet another theory.
An American author, Julian Osgood Field, also used the pseudonym Sigma. And he happens to have been responsible for multiple financial scandals including fraud and even forging some officials signature or something. I found this intriguing because of the whole Sky Casino thing.
He was also alive around the same time as Bram Stoker who is also in DoA if Im not mistaken (I've only watched up to season 4, so I could be missing crucial info, but idk bare with me I feel like I cooked). So We know the org. is not exclusivley Russian. Julian Osgood Field wrote "A Kiss of Judas" which is also a story about a vampire. In fact, I believe he and Stoker had some actual real life connection, but I havent looked into it enouch to deduce what it was if it existed. Its somewhat mentioned in a book about vampires in literature: Vampyres : Lord Byron to Count Dracula, by Christopher Frayling. I think its an anthology of works that inspired Stoker's Dracula. I could be wrong, though.
Many of the things he wrote seem dark and have titles that include "Devil" and such with biblical themes, so it also reminds me of Fyodor in that regard. He even has one called "The Luck of the Devil".
Idk lmk what you think. This just fits more than Sergey Nikolaevich Syromyatnikov. I cant find any reason for him to be the link, if there is any link to a real author at all.
edit: let it be known that, as a slav, i want this mf to be slavic so bad but i cannot find an adequate link to a slavic author 😭
