little bit of a rant because I have fomo at work again

I’m the oldest one that works there ; my arthritis is acting up and I work another 12 hour shift tomorrow …. My coworkers asked me out to a place where I know they’re gonna drink ( I can’t because of all the meds I’m on ) and I know I’ll struggle even driving there because it’s almost an hour away/

I know I’ll be miserable if I go with them but I always feel so guilty because I tell them no everytime they ask. It’s just so much to go out & socialize especially after an almost 14 hour shift.

THINKING ABOUT KRAGLIN CHERRI ???

⭐ how he's the first one to know about her medical artwork because he's been there with her since the beginning? like yes she's extremely attached to peter but kraglin was there SINCE THE BEGINNING and there has been more than a few times where she'd literally lean on him to be there with her while she was going through a pain episode.

⭐ thinking about he was the first one to spot her when she was a stowaway on the eclector and didn't give her away

⭐ about how cherri is there with whatever sappy and comforting thing she could say whenever kraglin has a breakup and it usually ends up making him laugh.

⭐ him being one of the only people that she really trusts to take care of her if anything goes wrong

⭐ the two of them looking at the stars every once in a while and talking about yondu

i have a lot more but love them so much and now that @obfontri is back on the dash i want to scream into a voice

" i ain't no kid . " she repeats over and over again to herself , struggling to get down the stairs and disappear into the busy streets of their colony. Rocket had gone to make negotiations with a neighboring one , so knowing him he'd be gone for a while. Cherri being the pain in everyones' ass as she was , couldn't sit there. A recent trip from visiting Peter had taken a pretty nasty toll on her body ( they had set everything up , but she still felt like she'd taken too many drinks . you know , that hangover that didn't go away. )

she couldn't take the beeping of the tech that made her want to literally rip her hair out. so , in true cherri fashion , she'd escape ( not that she was going to tell anyone that it took literally forty five whole minutes to get out of bed )

" can ya move , or am i gonna have to use force ? ' she says to him , the only block in her way as her descent down the stair way is cut short ,
