On Thursday October 1st, Matt Garbowsky returned to the Gene Polisseni center, this time playing with the Rochester Americans. The Americans were defeated 8-1.
Yesterday the No. 2 ranked RIT men’s lacrosse team defeated the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 18-8. The Tigers are now 11-0 this season and 3-0 in Liberty League conference play.
This Weekend the Men hosted Air Force in a an AHA Quarter final series. The Tigers would sweep Falcons winning 2-1 on Friday 3/13 and 7-3 on Saturday 3/14. The Men will be facing Canisius College this Friday 3/20 at the Blue Cross arena.
RIT faced off against Robert Morris University this past weekend resulting in a tie and a victory for the home team. RIT will be facing MercyHurst this weekend to close out their Regular Season play.
Over the weekend of February 6th, 2015, RIT ‘s Hockey program honored their Hockey Team Manager Pert Time Joe as well as raising awareness for testicular cancer with their “Check your Pucks” Campaign. The Women’s team hosted MercyHurst Friday and Saturday while the Men played a Home and Home with Niagara University. Both the Women and Men’s hockey teams are looking ahead toward the playoffs.

RIT Women's Hockey had a solid weekend at home, splitting the 2 game series with Penn State 1-1. During the first game on Friday, Ali Binnington became RIT's leader in saves and minutes played. She lead RIT to a shut-out win on Friday, beating Penn State 3-0. RIT lost to Penn State in OT 3-2 on Saturday.
RIT Cross Country had a successful weekend as senior Matt Giannino and sophomore Emma Jones qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in Ohio after placing in the Atlantic Regional Championship.

It was a tough weekend for RIT athletics at home. The RIT Tigers Women's Hockey Team split it's series with the Lindenwood University Lions with a 1-1 draw on Friday, and then a 1-3 loss on Saturday.
