There are currently very few regulations giving individuals control over how their content is used by AI platforms. Proposed regulations around the world, like the European Union’s AI Act, would give individuals more control over whether and how their content is utilized by this emerging technology. We support this right regardless of geographic location, so we’re releasing a toggle to opt out of sharing content from your public blogs with third parties, including AI platforms that use this content for model training. We’re also working with partners to ensure you have as much control as possible regarding what content is used.

Here are the important details:

We already discourage AI crawlers from gathering content from Tumblr and will continue to do so, save for those with which we partner. 

We want to represent all of you on Tumblr and ensure that protections are in place for how your content is used. We are committed to making sure our partners respect those decisions.

To opt out of sharing your public blogs’ content with third parties, visit each of your public blogs’ blog settings via the web interface and toggle on the “Prevent third-party sharing” option.

Hey everyone!

As January is coming to an end, and (almost) all gifts have been posted (I know my own is still a work in progress, but it's coming!) I just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone that's participated!

Puppy Love (RWRB New Years Exchange Fic) - Chp 1

So I signed up to take part in the @rwrbnygiftexchange and was selected to write something for @omgbarbiegurl.

My prompts were : snow, fluff and kidfic

Thank you again for being so patient - I'm still writing, so I'll post as I go. but here's the first chapter for you!

Henry shivered as the winter wind sliced through him.  Pulling his coat collar up and holding it closed with one hand, he walked as quickly as he could.  He knew his apartment wasn't that far. 

So close. . .it was so close.

Henry had plans.  Plans involving the biggest mug of Earl Grey he could imbibe, tucking into his sister's care package from home that was filled with Jaffa cakes, and probably watching Pride and Prejudice for the hundredth time.

Or maybe he’d switch to Star Wars. . .  He could do with a little Return of the Jedi happy ending today. 

The plans weren't exactly fixed in stone. 

Henry sighed.  Perhaps it wasn’t the most exciting evening in the world, but at least it was nice and cozy.

And warm.

He was really looking forward to the warm part.

Henry started to speedwalk as the first heavy, wet snowflakes began to fall.  As he passed a poorly lit alleyway he could have sworn he heard a soft crying sound coming from the shadows.  It stopped Henry in his tracks.

“Hello?” he called out tentatively.  “Hello?  Is someone there?”

Have you ever been alone in a crowded room? - A RWRB Canon Divergent NYE Fic

This fic is my @rwrbnygiftexchange gift for @cr1nge-culture who requested any sort of canon divergence on New Year's Eve, which just so happens to be one of my very favorite scenes to write. So, I did a bit of brainstorming and what came out was the following:

When the Legendary Balls-Out Bananas White House Trio New Year's Eve Party is interrupted by a security threat, Henry, Pez, Nora, June, and Alex find themselves locked in the White House library for their own protection with nothing but time, a few bottles of champagne, and some lighthearted conversation, until a single question threatens to change everything for Henry.

I was given three prompts, one of which was an Actors!AU, which I’ve always wanted to write!

I present: could it be mad love? (Actors!AU)

Complete: 3/3 chapters (well, two chapters and an epilogue).

Summary: Alex is a veteran actor of such critically "meh" romcoms as Red, White and Revolutionary Blue and Henry is a newcomer who won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his very first acting role. A role which he stole from Alex.

Rated T (nothing NSFW, per request). 13.8k words.

<i>Alex arrives at the Variety photoshoot overly caffeinated, grumpy about the early call time, and feeling sick to the pit of his stomach. Sure, he can blame the acids from his beverage of choice burning a hole through the lining of his empty stomach. Or he can face the reality that the stomach churning and desire to puke into the nearest trash can is due to trepidation from knowing that he’s about to spend the whole day with Oscar-winning actor, Henry Fox.

Fox is the object of Alex’s unrelenting and not unwarranted hatred. While Fox is likely unaware of his status as Alex’s arch-nemesis, Fox’s innocence of the situation (and therefore his inability to do anything about it) doesn’t stop Alex from wondering if the grudge he has for the man is strong enough to accidentally on-purpose summon a demon to straight up strangle the British bastard. </i>

Summary: The utter irony.

To be at a climate conference and have a storm descend upon the proceedings was perhaps poetic. To have the storm be intense enough to flood half the hotel and cut off transportation to the mainland was concerning.

But to have it all culminate in Henry having to share a room with Alex Claremont-Diaz was as if Mother Nature herself was having a laugh.

A gentle AU wherein there was only one bed.

Logically, Alex knew that he shouldn't be this stressed out.

It's his first big function at a law firm, though. The law firm gig might just be an internship, sure, but still, as he keeps telling Henry, it's so important to make a good first impression. Not only that, but it's their first holiday season with Irene, and Alex wants everything to be perfect, especially after everything she'd been through.
