This is very important. I live in a country where tuition is free and students have special student housing that's way cheaper than the regular rents around the city(I pay like 3x less because of this) which makes the financial load of going to college a lot lighter. So yes, cheap housing makes a huge difference, it can be done and I wish everyone had cheap(or free) housing!! That should be the bare minimum if the goal was to actually get more educated people and not to mske money off people in every possible way.

I think we should acknowledge that a lot of student debt comes from housing costs. To me that always seems like the elephant in the room that nobody ever talks about when discussing college.

Yeah maybe that college is finding a way to cover your tuition. How are you affording to stay in the dorms? Yeah you got a free ride to Harvard. How are you gonna afford to live in Cambridge though? The answer is either you also have a full time job or take out loans. Super rich people just straight up buy apartments for their little darlings.

That’s actually part of the attraction of living in a fraternity or sorority. If there’s 50 people to a house the rent is gonna be cheaper.

But anyways, the student loan crisis doesn’t start and end with free tuition. Higher wages, ubi, and affordable housing are also part of the solution.

#i never post anymore but I'm very passionate about everyone having access to good education #cheap housing and proper food etc. people should be allowed to pursue their goals without these extra obstacles thqt cause problems with #elitism etc.

• A stressed college student is having trouble taking care of their toddler from a fling back in high-school. A friend offers to take care of the kid during their night classes, and the student suddenly sees them in a different light.

• After growing fond of a certain staff member, the prince/ess runs away with them from their stressful royal duties. Finding refuge in a secluded cottage in an enchanted forest. This is the perfect life for them....up until the search for the royal begins. (I think a beekeeper would be really funny for this, because the royal thinks bees are the most interesting thing and always wants to just impulsively shove their hand into a beehive.)

• A failed break-in attempt leads to a member of the royal family catching the thief. And while said royal doesn't turn them in, they decide they do have a new friend now. The thief is given an ultimatum—stay and be their personal "best friend," or leave empty handed.

• A well known pirate decides they and their crew will take a break in a town off port. While there, on a walk on the beach, they meet a rather enchanting siren. Despite past warnings, the captain decides to check it out.

• To dispute a possible war between two extremely powerful kingdoms, the royal families decide to arrange a marriage. Unfortunately, neither of the heirs want to get married to the other.

• In a world where everyone gets markings their soulmate has on their skin, one child has sustained a lot of bruises on their knees that they didn't cause. While they get older, they try to use their very favorite marker to write their soulmate. It doesn't seem to work. They're starting to wonder if maybe they caused the bruises, until one day, they start getting notes from a math class up their arm.

• On a specifically stressful night, a straight A (and supposedly straight) student goes out for a drink. One thing leads to another, and they wake up in bed with their crush and a pounding headache the next morning.

• After many study sessions with their friend, a student decides that they may have a thing for their childhood best friend. Only after they share a kiss on a dare do they realize this, though.
