HONESTLY i need an inojin, shikadai, and chocho for this but i want to write a verse where mirai was promoted to jonin ( like how neji became a jonin early ) and she becomes team 10′s sensei instead.

headcanon: mirai was the one who gave next gen team 10 (team moegi) their earrings. she’s like their collective big sister. while she does primarily train shikadai, she does also offer the other kids time to train with her, being trusted by ino, choji, and shikamaru.

     “    oh,” temari begins as she glances down at the child. the brightness and curiosity that light up mirai’s eyes, she realizes, is one of the more hopeful things she’s witnessed. that being said, it’s never been any question that she meant so much to shikamaru. her features soften, and looking at mirai, she gestures at a nearby chair. smiling and moving to reach into shikadai’s crib, she says, “you can sit there, okay? and, i’ll hand him to you.”

      When she heard Shikamaru and Temari were expecting, she'd been preparing for the day she'd be able to meet their child. Now that he was born, she'd been begging to see him— to give him the same amount of care that his parents had shown her. First step being to hold him, of course.
