au where megumi is the one infected by tsumiki’s curse instead, and he’s in the coma and everyone’s so unsure and scared for him. this would have a bigger impact on gojo, his first student having been swept from under his protection so easily and tsumiki? she wouldn’t be able to recover, not mentally at least. she’d drive herself crazy with the ideal that, “maybe i could’ve saved him, maybe i could’ve prevented that”. so, she joins jujutsu tech and just like toji she has no cursed energy and she’s using cursed weapons. you’d think that would make her close with maki, but no.

despite maki’s attempts at friendship, tsumiki wants nothing to do with her because she’s a zenin, and zenins have done nothing but hurt her and those she loved. and now? she’s gojos prodigy, his star student and excellent cursed weapon user, almost on par with maki. she’s the one he takes on missions. she’s the one he trusts most. she’s the one who set to execute itadori if he can’t. she’s grade one, she’s strong. all because she drove herself mad with the grief of her cursed brother, and is taking everyone else down this path with her. tsumiki would make the grounds shake and seas overflow if it meant she got to have her baby brother back.
