My headcanon is that in the beginning years of them being together they have to constantly turn off their automatic defense systems whenever they're in each other's presence, and it happens to both of them. It makes things awkward, but they get a bit better at it.

I'm my AUs, the Prime Siblings all have alter egos that encompass their Prime Persona.

Orion Pax's is Optimus Prime, Elita-1's is Black Blackarachnia, Sentinels does have one, but I don't know yet. But in general most people who are not close to them do not know they are like this.

So when Orion Pax who never defends himself when he's in danger, suddenly has the ability to take on a large number of opponents & protect Megatron, people start to think something is up with them

When Elita-1 often leaves by herself with no guards in dangerous lands, and comes back with energon all over her, seemingly unharmed, people who don't know them start talking.

And Sentinel never goes between his two states, he's always 100% so no one would know there was a meek, humble version of him who does not enjoy the fighting.

Megatron has always felt there's something more to Orion. But he never asks. When he left Iacon and came to Kaon, he figured he'd tell him his past when he was ready.

But he knows something is off.

(anyway this is a part of various AU ideas I have where the Prime siblings are a bit of eldrich horrors lol. Megatron and Optimus are together, but Megatron only knows of Orion. He doesn't know there's something else in there that kills people)

Megatron had innocence. But at a point, he was no longer able to. Whereas Orion's privilege granted him innocence and ignorance for as long as it was able to.

I love that we're able to actually see this part of him, not just from a narrative standpoint but from a standpoint of a fan too. I've seen so many people furious that he's ever given an ounce of empathy. But I like the idea of people being forced to reconcile with the idea that his character is far from black and white, and regardless of how he becomes, he started just as innocent as everyone else and was never deserving of the oppression he went through.

It's not excusing decepticonism, but forcing fans who would rather ignore it, the harsh realties that made him how he turned out in most continuities.

Just responding to your tags @rubixpsyche ! Urban is a thing depending on where you are, and it's occasionally associated with black people. It's not always offensive, but in the context its being used in by anon, it is.

I don’t like how urban TF1 Megatron is. He was always a well spoken poet, look at him in Aligned and IDW and even Cyberverse.

His voice actor is black, that's why his VA sounds like that. That's his dialect and his accent. Being black doesn't make him any less well spoken. Do you know how many famous, historically relevant black American powers there are that sound like him?

Langston Hughes, James Baldwin, Toni Morrison, Sojourner Truth, bell hooks, Maya Angelo? All who have made social commentary on oppression, LIKE Megatron. One could say that Megatron's narrative of being a slave, a poet, and a revolutionary is inspired heavily by African American slavery and civil rights. I mean look at Nat Turner.

The only "urban" thing about him is that his VA is black. And there's nothing wrong with that. You just need to break out of the mindset that being black with that particular dialect is bad, because it's not
