TUMBLR IS PHASING OUT BLOG PAGE VIEW AND THE ARCHIVE!!!!!

When is this happening?

TONIGHT. That is midnight, when the date changes to the 27th of February 2024. The east coast already hit this point, I discovered it a bit before then because I live in Europe.

What does this mean?

It means any blog created on the 27th Feb '24 or later will not have access to page view (which includes all custom themes) nor the archive. Right now it appears blogs created before this time will keep these features but honestly who knows.

Will this affect sideblogs?

Yes, that's how I discovered it. If you can, I recommend making a couple of sideblogs with random urls before it's midnight for you so you can use them later.

What can I do?

REBLOG THIS POST!!! Warn people any way you can, especially people in time zones west of the american east coast (as of writing this edit) as they still can.

Why should I care? I prefer sideview.

Is there anything I can do for myself if it's already past midnight for me?

YES!!! I am unsure about new accounts but new sideblogs still have a little time, even if it's technically too late!! Go to the blog settings of your main and set the timezone so it's not midnight yet. Then you can make sideblogs that aren't yet affected.

please never feel bad for taking shortcuts in art. its ok if you copy and paste the other eye. its okay if you use the circle tool or the line tool. its okay to use a reference. its not about doing it the hard way, its about creating something. i promise you, you arent a worse artist for using tricks and shortcuts. its about the end product, not the process, and you shouldnt torture yourself with the hardest methods imaginable if it wont change your art in the end
