In solidarity with the women of Iran who are protesting the death of Mahsa (Jina) Amini and for the right to bodily autonomy.

As the government tries to shut down access to the internet and protests, several artists have decided to take a stand to raise awareness  Thank you Aria del Sole for inspiring me to join in. From the artists who started this online protest: What is happening in Iran right now: On 16th of september 2022, Mahsa “Jina” Amini died after being detained and beaten by the Iranian morality police for breaking hijab rules. She is not the first or last Iranian woman to encounter this. They are at the frontline of a revolution, fighting the regime, risking their lives by taking off their hijab publicly. Join us in our online protest; supporting those who are protesting but also those who want to wear it. This is a fight for freedom of choice, standing strong for women’s equal rights, everywhere in the world. We want to show our solidarity with this artivism; drawing one big banner and the women who stand behind it.

Islamic Republic of Iran killed her in the protest over the murder of Mahsa Amini.

Nika Shakarami, 17 years, vanished during the protest.

After a week, security forces delivered her dead body with her nose fully smashed & her skull broken from multiple blows.

There is a lot to write about Nika Shakrami. A lot needs to be said. The story of this child was the dirtiest and most painful crime of these lives in these eighteen days. This girl was sixteen or seventeen years old. They knew because his birth certificate was with him. Don't kill him on the street.

Her WhatsApp, Instagram and Telegram accounts were deleted after the phone was turned off. Before the phone turned off, when they were chasing this kid, she called her friend and said that they were following me. They took passwords from Nika Zind. What did they do to this child that they did not dare to take his body for ten days?

Three times before handing over his body, his family said that Kahrizak is not here.

What did they do to this child who stole the body and buried it in a remote place during his funeral?

What was known about that body so afraid to take a picture?

Nika Shakarami was nearly 17 years old when she went missing during a protest rally on september 20. when she was found, dead, 9 days later, her family was not allowed to see her head when asked to identify her body. she was filled with injuries including a smashed nose and broken skull.

another teen girl, 16 year old Sarina Esmailzadeh, was also killed. she was reportedly hit repeatedly in the head by the police.

since the start of the protests 15 days ago, it is estimated 300 were killed and 15,000 people were arrested.

the fight for democracy and freedom in iran continues. do not forget about iranian women!
