Going from Kohane's solo song in Kick It Up A Notch -> Caucasian Destination in Light Up The Fire has a similar feeling to watching Taskmaster season 5 and hearing I Always See You (Do Cool Stuff) and then hearing Rosalind's A Nightmare immediately afterwards

A Cry for Help: Supporting the El Tibi Family Amidst Devastation
Tumblr media
Hello everyone,
After much contemplation and hesitation, I find myself launching this donation campaign. These are the most challenging moments for me, ones I never imagined I’d encounter.
Let me introduce myself. I am Dr. Mahmoud Al Tibi, a 27-year-old Palestinian general practitioner currently residing in Argentina.
Allow me to briefly recount our story. Before October 7th, my family—consisting of my parents, five young brothers, two sisters, and myself—lived in a warm, loving home. Our lives were filled with joy and love until the devastation of war struck.
I vividly remember October 6th, a day before the war on Gaza began. It was a day of celebration as we gathered to virtually celebrate my younger brother Mustafa’s graduation from pharmacy school. Little did we know, those pictures captured by my sister Sahar would be the last images of our warm home. The war left nothing but rubble and memories, shattering our once-happy life.
My beloved father, Mamdouh, a civil engineer, saw his concrete factory destroyed, leaving him without a source of income to support our family. His tears speak volumes of the hardship he endures daily.
My mother, whose handcrafted embroideries adorned our home, now struggles to provide for us amidst the scarcity and devastation left by the occupation. Her dreams of pursuing a master’s degree in food science were shattered overnight.
My brother Mustafa’s joy of graduation turned into despair as his dream of opening his pharmacy remains unattainable. He now spends his days searching for food and firewood amidst perilous conditions.
My younger brother Yassin, a bright student with a passion for learning, had dreams of studying medicine. Now, his days are consumed by gathering firewood and waiting in lines for food.
My married brothers, Mohamed and Ahmed, along with their families, lost their homes and possessions. Their children, deprived of basic necessities, face the horrors of war daily.
My sister Sahar and her daughter Tala, living in dire conditions, rely on animal feed for sustenance. Tala, once vibrant and smiling, now suffers from psychological trauma caused by the constant fear and uncertainty.
For the past five months, my family has endured unimaginable suffering in makeshift tents, where the threat of death looms large. I implore you, out of sheer humanity, to contribute whatever you can to save my family. I am left with no option but to seek your support in ending this nightmare.
Exiting Gaza to safety requires funds beyond my means—$6,000 to $7,000 per person. Your assistance will not only save my family but also restore warmth and hope to their lives.
I am deeply grateful for your generosity.

The Iranian Regime is going to execute rapper Toomaj Salehi for supporting protests of Jina Amini’s murder by the regime in his songs.
Iranian activist Elica Le Bon says, “Iranians in the diaspora picked up on the fact that the regime tends not to execute people who become known to the international community. We have seen many examples of prisoners that were either released on bail or had their sentences commuted through our “say their names to save their lives” campaign on social media, using hashtags to garner attention for their causes, and even before social media existed, through getting the stories of political prisoners to international media outlets. Once reported on, and once the eyes shift to the regime and the reality of its pending brutality, realizing that the action is not worth the repercussions, we have seen them back down and not execute. For that reason, this is part of an urgent campaign for readers to talk about Toomaj as much as you can, using the hashtag #FreeToomaj or #ToomajSalehi. Every comment makes a difference, and if we were wrong, what did we lose by trying?”

help my extended family leave palestine.
edit: decided to add my family friend's gofundme link here too. once again. please read through the notes. remember that these are real people, who are living through this as you read. this is my family. theyre all amazing people and i love them dearly stop scrolling, and take a minute to read about their story. i cannot stress enough that, when it comes to donations, every little bit counts. if you feel guilty and powerless about the situation in palestine, and you want a way to help, here it is. please, if you have even a little bit to spare, consider donating. If you don't have anything to give, at least reblog to spread the message.
