ok ok ok but between this post, the ‘wilbur adopts tommy as a brother but phil does not adopt tommy as a son’ hcs, and the fact that tubbo’s semi-canonical box adoption happened when he was found by both phil and wilbur, i’ve realized that c!phil is not actually the serial child adopter you’ve all thought of him as at all. he’s just wilbur’s dad, and unfortunately for phil’s mental stability, c!wilbur looks at random bloodthirsty children with a penchant for mass destruction and decides they’re his new siblings without ever consulting his father on the matter.

a perfect 50/50 split of hybrid-ness would practically never naturally occur, because theres always going to be dominant and recessive traits. but as far as we can tell, ranboo genetically is at least very close if not a perfect split of enderman and whatever his other half is. it would make sense to for him to be the result of a scientific experiment.

his memory issues may be a side effect of the two halves clashing. which might explain why when he enderwalks, aka something skewed towards his enderman side, has all of his memories, but in his normal state where he's back to being 50/50, he cant remember everything. this would theoretically mean whatever the other half is might be something that would have zero memory retention.

another piece of evidence towards this is something he said during his march 2nd stream, which was his stream after c!tommy's death where he also canonized the tear scars.

"I can never forget people.... except for those- I usually can't forget people."

he says he cant forget people "except for those" which to me implies he's talking about people who've done a specific thing to him. what if this specific thing is experiments from the people who created him? it's implied he usually forgets traumatic/stressful things, what's more stressful than being experimented on as a child?

him being made in a lab would also explain his whole "if i have parents I cant remember them" thing, he says he doesn't forget people but he's forgotten his parents. wouldn't this put them into the same group as "except for those" which based on this hc/theory would make them scientists. it also would explain why he might not be able to pin down exactly who in his memories his parents are, because he was raised by a whole team of scientists, not any kind of nuclear family.

and finally, my most recent piece of evidence. his own willingness to experiment on himself. and for it to be successful and for him to do it in a professional manner. he has 43 pages of experiments and found a solution. he knew how to properly set up a lab and record his findings and everything. he may not remember where he learned these skills, but he clearly has them.

tldr: c!ranboo was made in a lab. trust me on this. mans came from test tube.
