Did a little revamp of my player design

I was never really proud of my old comic on the Player’s speech, so I decided to redraw it, along with condensing it a bit and changing the Player’s look and name to match my keykid.

It’s been almost two years, which has brought with it a little more experience, better tools, and better practices.  I still feel like I could improve on what I have, but I’m happy to notice the progress I’ve made from my past work.  Hopefully I’ve brought a little more justice to this scene! ^^

The Player’s speech in KHUX had a profound effect on me when I first read it, so I wanted to dramaticize it a bit and convert it to comic form.  Being stuck behind a mobile game is too much of a crime!

Also, I decided to go with a male Player of union Unicornis, as this was the default shown in Back Cover.

Best part of working for the federal government is free eclipse glasses courtesy of NASA and permission to leave work as a group to go stand out on the National Mall to watch the whole thing happen. I’m personally hoping that the Washington Monument and other notable DC landmarks will turn into a massive cosmic array channeling the eclipse’s power vaporizing anyone and anything in its path and that I will be among the first to be sacrificed to the primordial deities, but I will be fine with the chance to take a break from emails and get some fresh air while standing in a crowd where everyone is wearing funny little glasses too

FULL TOMIKO REFERENCES!!!!

Tomiko is a genderfluid (she/he, sometimes they) teen bakeneko yokai. She’s a Hidden City resident with her mother who runs much of the City’s (and crime mobs) finances all from a lovely tea house. A shapeshifter, he’s able to poof into a small cat to escape with ease, but seems to have trouble accessing other forms. She’s sarcastic, biting, and aloof, and only shows her soft underbelly to those he truly trusts, which is a very VERY short list. Keep an eye on your wallet when around her.
