it is very important to me that the main four grows up attached at the hip

like they hate each other. they love each other. they're each other's entire world, and there is no way they'd ever truly seperate

Kyle gets a spot in this big, fancy, college, and even though he hates it, he goes. finds himself a little flat, and is as miserable as anything, but stubborn as all hell about it, and then one day, he comes home and they're just there

at first they just move in, but it devolves into a nightmare like, instantly. Cartman and Kyle nearly kill each other on the daily. Kenny is getting antsy, and Stan will not stop lying on the floor and getting in the way

so one day Kenny just sits them down and tells them, point blank, that they need to move. they need something bigger, with more space, with more doors

it's not easy. Kyle is busy with college, Kenny works late hours, Stan is floundering. Cartman is the one who figures it all out, finds this place with space for all of them, with a suspiciously cheap rent, and none of them really cares enough to ask why

they figure it out. Kyle and Stan ends up sharing a room, still best friends, and Cartman and Kenny gets their own, which, honestly, is probably for the best. Kenny brings home people, sleeps around, and Cartman is- Cartman

and they grow up like that, as tight knit as always, as attached at the hip as they've always been, messy and fucked up and a disaster no one understands

and maybe one day they wake up, bundled together in one room, Stan and Kyle's bed shoved together, yet barely enough space for the four of them. maybe some things changes, like Kenny not bringing people back, or Kyle and Cartman's fight ending up in the bed more often than not

but nothing that matters changes. they're still four fuck ups from South Park, attached at the hip, as stuck in each other's orbit as when they were kids, running around in a quiet little mountain town

Headcanon: Wendy actually figures out whats going on with the boys long before any of them does (except maybe Kenny but that’s a whole nother headcanon)

This is because shes perceptive and probably one of the only people in school ( maybe in all of south park) who would even know polyamory is a thing - but also she has dated Stan, and the thing about dating Stan is that its kind of like dating  all of them.  every time shes with him shes getting stories about Kennys latest dumb stunt or frequent updates on whatever Kyle and Cartman are arguing about this week.  She goes to his house and one of them is inevitably also always there.  She goes on a date with him and Cartman will crash it to drag Stan off somewhere, or he’ll spend it intermittently texting Kyle, or he’ll drag her into some store or another because hes seen something he wants to get for Kenny.   He becomes inconsolably upset and she knows it means he had a fight with Kyle, because he only ever gets this upset  when hes fighting with Kyle.  if she needs relationship she always gets the most reliable results from one of them because nobody knows Stan Marsh as well as his friends do.

sometime after they break up, he hesitanty confides in her that he might have feelings for them and she wonders how it took him this long to realize it when it's something shes known forever.

While Sheila is loyal to her husband and her nation, she’s doesn’t like what being a military leader is doing to Ike.  She convinces Gerald to place Kyle as his second in command, hoping he’ll be able to keep his brother from losing too much of himself.

Ike commands a significant portion of the Fire Nations Millitary.  Gerald has tasked him with the conquering of Ba Sing Sei, and with finding and securing the Avatar - he’s determined to accomplish both tasks, no matter the cost.  His ever increasing ruthlessness has Kyle incredibly concerned.

Filmore is Ikes military advisor, bitter childhood rival the the closest thing he has to a friend.

notes: Water Tribes

Originally the prince of the Southern Water Tribe, prince Leopold convinced his father to abandon his title of Chieftain in the name of uniting the water tribes under Chiefess Liane.  He now serves as an advisor to prince Eric.  He really, genuinely believes Eric is doing the Right Thing.

Kenny is Erics loyal bodyguard and right hand man.  He answers only to the prince, and is never far from his side.  Nothing else is known about him.

General Garrison is technically retired, but insists on maintaining his title. He was responsible for most of the princes education.  with Eric and his army in Ba Sing Sei preparing for conflict, Garrison helps Liane maintain control of the council elders.
