Evaluation:

The Personal Portfolio project has become something new to me. What is important about this project shows that not only my website but facts about myself, it would show many film and animation companies that how I qualified in taking part. This would show that I have such talent to apply for the jobs I wanted to take part in.

What I liked so far about this project was, while designing and editing my websites, I included some extra work as part-time. I spent quick hours not only just drawing illustrations of my characters, I also spent time learning something new. Making and designing graphic film posters and logos using Adobe InDesign.

Not much has been bad during the project, but somehow the weakest part is the CV. I had trouble thinking had perfect it need to be and what to include about myself. But I managed to get help from the Career advisors, they taught me what to include and go over all the best qualifications I did before coming to university. During feedbacks from my tutors, they taught me that my website link as well as logo should be added, there I agreed with them.

This project so far would help me in the future to come, would show more of my talents in directing and animating. There film companies would help me increase my talent more so I can put my name into the media much further. Also now I discovered I have a talent in graphics, I would like to continue doing it so I can prove that my imagination is huge and want to continue bringing my ideas to

Here is an example of what my business cards need to be before any printing. This is because depends how big the size is of my card on Photoshop, there may be a few problems as some parts of the card have not been added.

Job Hunt

As i’m a stop-motion animator, before going to any into live-action production, I would need to find a job in animation before any audiences i built grow any bigger. 

And if I finally get involved in making live action motion pictures as well in directing them, I’ll have to go to film studios in the UK before going abroad to any foreign country, including the USA.

Job Role:

My job role, although i’m a stop-motion animator and character designer to start with, is to be a film director, both for animation and live-action films.

My idea to become a film director was thanks to the direction of making films by Stanley Kubrick, director of 2001: A Space Odyssey and A Clockwork Orange. Not because I enjoyed his films, its because he performed such leadership of how the film is supposed to perform, as well the actors need to act, where the camera is held for a scene and blending music with the film.

My plan to direct films is nothing as copying my idol but my talents in film-making shows the the importance of teamwork. There I would show how strong it is when making and designing a project.

There after meeting the people at the Networking Hour, I’ve been to told in order to get information about starting my future business is to sign up to LinkedIn.

Norfolk Networking Hour

On Wednesday the 6th of May, various people who worked in various companies and business came to NUA to visit students who have interest in collecting knowledge in understanding how to start after graduation. 

Here above is the list of those who came. I had a chat with Claire Walding who worked for the BBC, I spoke to her about how much I wanted to be a director, plus showed her my backup work.

I had a very strong conversation with Paul Beckett who works for his own created company, Onkk ltd. He mentioned to me as I showed him my superhero illustrations, me described that I had such a graphic novel of life in my mind. Plus he told to never change my idea or give it all up. There he said I must continue my plan as it’s viewed to be something emotional.

I uses these in helping me how to create logos in a more perfect style rather than hand-drawn. My website’s previous logo is hand-drawn and due to the reviews of the tutors, they said that i’s so hand-drawn that it doesn’t look perfect as expected.

Vimeo and YouTube videos.

Some of my videos are uploaded onto Vimeo but due to various upload failure because of lack of space, I had to upload most of my best videos onto YouTube.

My vimeo account seen to say that in order to upload more films, I had to pay to upgrade, so YouTube is a far better choice for me, even if the videos aren’t in good quality as expected.

After a tutorial with my tutor, I’ve been told to change the galleries by making them include different examples of my work without making them crunch too much. That way also, those who look at my website won’t keep dragging the mouse down to the bottom of the page.

Logo:

The logo seen above is the perfect new creation for my website as the previous look so hand-drawn, which is something no-one likes looking all the time.

The Logo was created using  Photoshop, which took myself two hours to create with the help of Photoshop tutorials on the internet. To make the logo in this design, I used the wind tool on both text and spark symbol. As well as gradient and mask layers are included also.

After the logo was finished I was happy about the design as it proved it shows how to attract viewers.
