Children in Gaza can tell an F-16 from an F-35 from a drone. They know a whole litany of things that are beyond their years. Things that they shouldn’t have to know. Over 10,000 children have been killed in Gaza. The children who have survived have seen their families, friends and neighbors killed by the Israeli army. They have seen near-death by starvation and death by suffocation, under the rubble and by explosion. Children in Gaza do not have the luxury of death being a mystery. It is a daily presence. If a child in Gaza is hungry, they know not to throw a tantrum. They have become used to feeling hunger. The same is true of the cold. Every child in Gaza now knows what it is to be unhoused, to sleep in a tent or on the streets in winter.

Don't forget about the Palestinians.
Don't forget about them now.
Don't forget about them tomorrow.
Don't forget about them in a week from now.
Don't forget about them in a month.
Don't forget them next year.
Don't forget them in 5 years.
When the history books start to update, don't let them put lies in there.
When documentaries come out, boycott the ones who call this a victory for Israel.
When books release talking about soldier's personal experiences with Palestine, remember the victims. Remember the truth.
Don't forget about what we've seen.
Don't forget about what we've heard.
Don't let them tell lies about Palestine.
Don't forget about the Palestinians when the world tries to make this go away.

Shout out to all the Black ppl that can no longer participate directly in the fandom they love because of the stresses of racism 👍🏾 you contain multitudes of value and I'm sorry that the color of your skin and the power of your voice makes people not want to acknowledge that.

It's international women's day. White feminists will speak about the hijab being "oppressive" but will not speak about the IOF abducting Palestinian women, stripping them of their hijab, and denying them the right to wear it.
It's international women's day. White feminists will tell you the importance of making period products free, but will remain silent when Palestinian women and little girls in Gaza have to use leftover fabric from tents because aid is blocked and they don't have pads.
It's international women's day. White feminists will gladly share fake accusations -which have been debunked- about mass rapes against Israeli women, but will completely ignore the sexual violence and rape threats Palestianian hostages have been and are subjected to in Israeli prisons.
It's international women's day. White feminists will scream about women's education and the Taliban -even though they only use it for their Islamophobic agendas, not out of concern- and they will remain silent when we say schools and universities in Gaza have been bombed, and there is an educational crisis.
Stop looking the other way. Stop being silent. Free Palestine.

Ryan Gainer was a 15 year old Autistic Black boy who was shot and killed by police in California.
Ryan seemed to have been having a meltdown, he was holding a gardening tool, police were called to the house but they are refusing to release any body cam footage of the shooting and refusing to state how many times Ryan was shot, they failed to help him before the paramedics arrived.
After shooting him Ryan's family was then forced out of their home while the police rummaged through their house looking for any justifiable cause for shooting Ryan.
This is hardly the first time the San Bernardino police department has attacked or killed people having a mental health crisis.
Tumblr media
Rest in Power Ryan.
STOP CALLING THE POLICE ON DISABLED AND MENTALLY ILL PEOPLE!

read and reread the last paragraph bc WHAT A WORD👏🏽👏🏽
some of you black women need to unpack and unlearn your internalised misogynoir cos you’re bussing out paragraphs basically insinuating “ghetto” black girls are dirty and unloveable like 😭😭😭
you’re unknowingly spewing white supremacist rhetoric when you start typing bullshit about how you write your reader better than other black readers because “you don’t make her twerk” and “she’s not a hoe”
what you post reflects on your mindset and a lot of the shit you say is showcasing how deeply insecure you are with yourself

rapper!onyankopon.
Tumblr media
just some head canons i have.
in my head im imagining a blend of dave and fridayy, where he can sing as well (he got variety!). same universe as my musicproducer!connie fic but reader is not famous here, as opposed to w/ connie’s. (lol i gave her a last name too—davis.) in my mind, im picturing ony from the uk and connie from ny.
★ * ° 🛰 °. 🌓 • .°• 🚀
rapper!ony who first pops up on the scene in a music video of his friend connie’s song. he wasn’t featured on the track, but rather just in the background getting hype with everyone else.
but y’all know how the girlies get when a fine black man/woman/person start trending.
rapper!ony who wasn’t shy about his craft, but just wasn’t big on social media. his agent hated it, he loved it. he simply released music, let people know, and then went about his business.
rapper!ony was trending and although he didn’t take this as an opportunity to get in his social media bag, his best friend, musicproducer!connie did!
rapper!ony who goes from a couple thousand people knowing what he does to over a million people screaming his lyrics at they’re phones on tiktok in ONE night.
“bro, you can’t even get mad at me gang!” connie yelled from his shower. ony was sitting outside, accosting his friend for what he did. “you said you didn’t care what happened to the project!”
“but tell me if you gon post it and make it a whole thing, nigga damn!” ony yelled back.
rapper!ony who now has to adjust to his quickly rising popularity. he has yet to know the number of artists looking for a feature; and he doesn’t know that he secretly has some of these industry boys shaking in their boots because where the hell he come from?
no, rapper!ony is too busy focusing on whyyy they’re a million fan edits of him across tiktok and instagram. clips of him from his streams, connie’s videos, and his other friend’s content.
ony groans as connie’s message banner pops up on his phone, the message being a link to a tiktok. when he clicked it, it was a fan edit of him using his song ‘when it comes to you’. “bro, who keeps sending these to you, man?!” ony exclaimed. connie heard it from his room and snickered.
rapper!ony who had to adjust to being the attention at these red carpet events. he usually just walked behind connie and his girl, along with the rest of the entourage but now he is getting stopped for photographs.
there’s nothing like listening to music live. so rapper!ony puts on a fake smile and pushes through the crowded carpet to get inside. he waves to people he’s worked with, artists, and fans who called out to him. all so he can hear some music.
he sees connie holding hands with his girlfriend, both of them making goofy faces at the cameras. he softly smiles at the couple, but before he could make way, connie somehow senses him and turns to him “ony! ven aquí!” damn!
rapper!ony who doesn’t expect much from the awards show. just to go, support connie, and go home. he was nominated, yeah, but he was also in the category with some of the most popular artists right now…so he wasn’t feeling all that confident.
rapper!ony who is shocked as shocked can be when his name is called from the podium for best new artist.
“F**CK YEAH!” connie yelled, jumping up from his seat along with his girl and the rest of the table—aran, zora, jean, armin, and mikasa.
rapper!ony who walks up on stage with connie who is still screaming from excitement.
“uhhh, i’m not gonna lie, mans weren’t expecting to win still.” ony laughed, running a hand over his fresh waves. the audience laughed with him.
“first i would like to thank God, the most high who has blessed me with this amazing opportunity. i want to thank my people for having my back; connie—this man,” ony pointed behind him to connie, who was full out filming the moment on his phone.
“who told me on a random day when we were cleaning out our college dorm room that if we made a project together we would be the new heartthrobs of the generation. connie i thank you for being you; having my back and working alongside me. my brother for life, that is.” connie screamed, and so did his girlfriend from the audience as the claps poured in.
“and finally, i want to thank my heart in human form. the woman who made all of this possible, y/n davis. she don’t like the attention so im gonna hear bout this name drop when i get home. but babes, i love you, and thank you for being my rib. i owe you the world and more. and to her parents, thank you for my better half. thank you lot again. love!” ony raised his hand with the award, smiling and waving to the crowd and cameras as he walked to the back.
meanwhile, across the country, cuddled up in her bed was y/n, who was watching the award show before going to sleep. she had expressed to ony she wasn’t too sure about going, not liking the cameras and attention. he reassured her it was okay because there wasn’t any way he would be winning with who else was in the category.
so…safe to say when you saw your boyfriend on the stage with the award in his hand, you could not contain your shock and excitement. you jumped out of bed screaming and quickly getting to your phone camera to record the tv. squeals and “yeah baby” was all you could say as he gave connie his thanks.
but then… when you heard him say your name, for everyone around the world to hear, everything just turned to shock as your phone fell from your frozen hands, still recording. you were stunned. he said your name. your government name. on national television.
“ONY!!!”

Just a general reminder that the week of 18-24 February is another strike. Please don't ignore this, no one has the excuse of it being too spontaneous this time as it has been planned since the strike in January ended. Don't talk about anything other than the injustices in the world. Talk about Palestine. Talk about Sudan. Talk about the republic of Congo. Talk about West Papua. Do not let anyone forget about any of the genocides going on rn.

“when you criticize her you don’t take away her talent” A MFN WORD!
(adding in my two cents for free)
a lot of people really don’t believe two things can be true at the same time and in the cases of celebrities, you can see just how clear it is. criticizing ANY of these celebrities for what they AS PEOPLE are doing is NOT an attack on their artistry or contribution to the entertainment/music industry. and oh my days, i wish w/ all my heart people could understand this. bc yes, in some cases separating art from artists work; but it is the context they get separated in that really matter when determining whether to.
jay z can be one of hip-hops biggest contributors, AND be a sellout…bc that’s possible. bc there’s proof of both being true.
celeb worship culture/stan culture really makes you forget that the people you idolize are at the end of the day just people like you and i but w/ money. yes, money is a big part of the difference and a good reason why they are in the position to be idolized, but the money doesn’t take away the character of the person. it can alter it, but removing it is impossible.
people like jay-z, beyoncé, usher, rihanna, kanye west all have made great and memorable contributions to MUSIC, however, as people, their contributions to the betterment of SOCIETY has been poor.
and if we really wanna get into it, we can discuss the idea that they rely on their fans to have toxic parasocial relationships with them; so when times come where their character/decisions are called to question, and they do the ol’ famous drop of music or whatever to cover up, those fans can help in making sure they get that distraction.
but hey, that’s just my high ass thoughts 🤷🏽‍♀️.
-kio
some uncomfortable truth for black folks is that all these entertainers usher, jay-z, beyoncé and rihanna are sell outs.
jay-z putting black entertainers for the superbowl half time show is merely something he does to get regular black people to be on board with his attempts at colluding and cosying up to white billionaires.
the fact colin kaepernick A BIRACIAL NOT BLACK man was slandered and dragged for merely kneeling during the national anthem to protest against police brutality against black people to the point even fuck ass trump had something to say is nuts.
for jay-z the sell out to actively ignore this for monetary gain then try and convince people him getting black musicians for the half time show and ads really speaks volumes on this entire black capitalism shit. he even tried to frame it as “social justice” when it was again just to line up his pockets.
it is not BLACK EXCELLENCE OR REPRESENTATION for black celebs to hoard wealth. celeb worship culture is really scary. because y’all are scared to say shit about beyoncé. she is attached to jay’s black capitalism bullshit and has done so much questionable things in the past. when you criticise her you do not take away her talent, she already is a historical figure for her artistry and its true that these establishments do pay her dust for white mediocrity.
but at the same time the race card for her doesn’t work. a woman who wore blood diamonds and tried to frame it as black excellence for her being the first black woman to wear it as if it didn’t come at the cost of south african lives. a woman who premiered her movie in israel during the aggression.
the craziest thing as well is i wouldn’t have said shit until i saw the events last night of israel carpet bombing the rafah crossing. after they told palestinians to go there as a safe zone. they cornered journalists, medics and families to slaughter them all while everybody was distracted by the sham of a superbowl and music from usher and beyoncé. on top of that they were airing pro israel and zionist propaganda as ads. i really have no words for this all.

“i don’t understand what’s happening in palestine so i won’t comment on it” of course you don’t understand. most of us will never understand what it’s like to go for months without electricity, without water, without literal food. most of us won’t understand what it’s like talking to loved ones at lunch and then having to witness their bodies in body bags by dinner. no, you will never understand what that feels like—but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t care. that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t educate yourself. that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t donate. there’s only one thing uglier than willful ignorance—and that’s willful ignorance borne from selfishness and a severe lack of compassion. if you care anything about humanity as a concept, palestine should be your problem regardless of who you are, where you live, or where you’re from.

i cannot and will never stop stressing about how Lama SHOULD NOT have to be doing this.
she should be enjoying her youth. playing with friends. spending time w/ her family. she should be in school, learning new things, creating.
at 9yrs old she has seen FIRSTHAND and EXPERIENCED more trauma than most of the adults in the western world. she is stronger than the adults of the western world. she deserves her youth, she deserves to be free.
PALESTINE DESERVES TO BE FREE . 🍉
The youngest Palestinian journalist is a 9 year old girl.
Her name Lama Jamous.
Lama has been reporting on tik tok what has been happening in Gaza. Her father is a journalist working for Al Jazeera and is trying to get her out of Rafah.
Link to the gofundme from the video

Just a small reminder
Do not stop talking about Palestine
Do not stop boycotting, do not stop protesting, do not stop speaking out. Be the voice for those who had their autonomy stripped away. Be the voice for the people, the parents, the grandparents, the children, the infants. Be the voice for the animals, the trees, the buildings, the very soil that has been desecrated. Stand up for what is right in whatever little way is possible, but do not stop talking about Palestine.
DO NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT PALESTINE
DO NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT PALESTINE
DO NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT PALESTINE
