I am officially back on ao3 after two years with some nice gay stuff!

This is a slight genderbend AU, where Jackie is Jack and Kelso is Michelle. I couldn't think of another way to get Jack in the group so I kept him dating Kelso, but I didn't think Michael Kelso would date a man so I made her Michelle. Everyone else is their original gender. Hyde is pansexual but doesn't have the label, and he and Jack get together in a pretty similar way to the show. This fic is just them getting together.

If you guys like this and want me to write more, please give me some prompts!

question for all the Jackie/Hyde shippers: in your mind, what is their song? what song makes you think of them every time it comes on?

for me, it's Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton. I think that started when I was writing TQOAMD, and it just stuck ever since. now, whenever I'm about to write a cute J/H date scene, I listen to that song to get in the mindset. The lyrics that really cemented this song as a J/H song for me were these:

I feel wonderful Because I see the love light in your eyes And the wonder of it all Is that you just don't realize how much I love you

like that's just so Hyde to me. the whole song he's thinking about how much he loves her and she doesn't even realize.

anyway please let me know what you consider to be THE J/H song, I'm very curious

for real! and honestly I feel like if there was a proposal in the show it would not have been what we wanted. in the later seasons Hyde was way less romantic and I think him proposing would have been played for laughs instead of a big moment for him and Jackie. which only adds to the joy of writing it ourselves!

I really should try this! I already know I'm gonna have to edit this story a lot because of the two year long break I took in the middle of it lol. the pacing got weird because when I picked up writing it again I got sick of Hyde and Jackie not being together and started rushing along. I'll definitely be fixing that later!

thinking about writing a one-shot in a similar style to Spirit In The Night where the plot follows a song. this one would be based on Who's The Blonde Stranger? by Jimmy Buffett with Eric and Jackie as the married couple and Donna and Hyde as the blonde strangers they cheat on each other with. would anyone read this or is this too specific to my interests

god I love writing jackie/hyde proposal scenes. I feel that I've written my most romantic proposal yet for poems for ivy. sadly I am at a block between where I am now and this proposal scene. trying my best and hopefully will finish it soon

doing a clean out of my google docs and rediscovering all these old T7S fanfic ideas. lots of half-chapters and outlines. some of these I never even talked about on here and I'm so glad I did. I read through them and I'm like "what the fuck was wrong with me? what was I talking about?" one of my notes for a story just said "twist ending" what? what was the twist ending? why did I think I would remember?
