Relationship should come before revenue. Marketing is kind of like dating. If you go to fast in the relationship you scare people off. Its like asking what you want to name your children when its only your first date. Relationships have stages and so does marketing. They start not knowing you and your products. You introduce yourself and add value to your customer's life. The other portion of this is we should be in a business to make a positive impact in the lives of others. What would change in your business if you put what's best for the customer first? What if today isnt a good time for them to be your customer? What if it makes more sense for you to connect with them in 6 months? Don't put your sell before their needs. Dont put profit over impact. Why do we struggle with asking for help? I know this is true in my life. Many times I'd rather struggle and find the solution myself instead of asking for help.
