Hi all!

I'm hard at work doing some commission painting! I've got two Chaos Knights and like 8-9 Armiger sized bots to do. It's a big task but I'm up to the challenge.

It's also my first commission for someone I don't know, so it's all kind of official. I admit I got pretty nervous going into it, but like everything else in my life, it works best when I just get to work.

I figured I'd share some in progress shots of my Redemptor Dreadnought with you all! I love when minis are in this stage. They're not bare plastic, but they're still brimming with potential! Figuring out what you want to do can be paralyzing at times, but once you get a little paint on a mini, the path can be a little clearer for you!

Is Games Workshop? Totally. Is it TOO expensive? Yes, yes it is. I love GWs products, but I certainly can't afford them. Like this big doof. I want to paint him, but I'm sure his price tag is going to be outrageous. And that's just coming from a painter's point of view. If I were army building it'd be WORSE.

I'm not a GW gamer. Just a painter. I go to other games for gaming. (Namely Crisis Protocol and Malifaux.) I love to paint a little bit of everything though. If you're just looking for paint, you can make due with cheap stuff, like Reaper, WizKids, and the like. Don't feel beholden to the more expensive stuff. If you've got it, go for it. Do you!

I've got an entire shelf devoted to Marvel Crisis Protocol. I'm slowly painting my way through the minis, and will likely put more here in the future! If I have complaints, it's that they don't make minis of some of my favorite characters, but it is what it is I guess.

It's the first snow of the season here, and it also happens to be the day I cobbled together some ice and snow for my Maw-Krusha's base! It's a simple mixture if you wanna try it yourself. You just need some hobby snow and mod podge mixed together! My Ironjawz Orruks are all winter themed, so I'll be using this mixture a lot!
