I'll be keeping a close eye on this blog for any late submissions for the next 3 weeks (until Nov 11th/12th). You could still submit something after that date, I just might be a little more delayed in terms of reblogging by that point. But late submissions are always welcome! We'd love to see what you're working on whenever it's ready!
And she's pretty sure that this is what it meant to be in love with someone:
it meant two people riding on a bike built for one. suki in the front, sokka behind her with his feet on the spokes and his hands gripping her shoulders. the wind whipping their hair and their wild laughs being carried behind them.
it meant nights half asleep on sokka's bed as he studied for some future test with the moon peaking through the curtains and suki's phone playing her ‘retro chill music’ playlist.
it meant afternoons spent at the skatepark doing their best to master trick moves in order to Impress each other.
it meant carrying sokka on her back or sokka carrying her on his back, and kissing all the way home.
character aesthetics with mxmtoon as suki and d'pharaoh woon-a-tai as sokka for @sukka-week.
[Image ID: A two-panel comic of Suki and Ty Lee from Avatar: The Last Airbender as young adults in a modern office setting. The comic is sketched in pencil except for the words, which are written in pen. In the first panel, Suki and Ty Lee are standing at a desk, on which is a vase of flowers. Suki takes a card off of the vase and says, "Every Monday when I show up to work, a bouquet of flowers is waiting on my desk with a note from a 'secret admirer.' It's been going on for three years." Ty Lee says "Wooooooooooow! That's a lot of secret admirers! But what does Sokka think???" In the second panel, Suki smiles widely at the card and says "He thinks I still don't recognize his handwriting." /.End ID]
Well does he leave a little note to tell you you are on his mind?

Suki's outfit is black and green, with wide sleeves and pant legs cinched at the wrists and ankles, and with a gold spider on the front. She also wears a mask with a design like her Kyoshi warrior face paint and her Kyoshi headpiece. Sokka's outfit is blue, gray, and white, with a blue spider on the front. He wears a mask with a design like his face paint. /.End ID]
[Image ID: Three traditional pencil drawings of Suki and Sokka. In the first, Suki crouches down, resting one hand on the ground and extending the other out to the side. [Image ID: A series of five traditional pencil drawings of Sokka and Suki from Avatar: The Last Airbender dressed similarly to Derek and Odette from The Swan Princess. In the first, they are young children. Suki crosses her arms and scowls at Sokka. Sokka sticks his tongue out at Suki. In the second, Sokka sits on the ground and scowls. In the background, Suki and Katara happily walk and talk together. In the third, they are older. Sokka lies flat on his back on the ground, his clothes and hair slightly disheveled, and looks up at Suki with an impressed expression. She walks away from him. In the fourth, they are teenagers and walking together. Suki speaks and gestures with one hand. Sokka listens to her and smiles. In the fifth, they are young adults. They are shown in profile from the knees up facing each other. Both smile and close their eyes. They lean together with their foreheads touching and their hands joined. Suki wears a betrothal necklace. /.End ID]

Sukka Week Day 4: Arranged Marriage
Inspired by the beginning of The Swan Princess. Every summer, Prince Sokka and Princess Suki are brought to visit each other, in the hope that when they grow up they will agree to a politically advantageous marriage. Unfortunately, Suki thinks Sokka's annoying and Sokka thinks...the way he does in early Book 1 (she and Katara do become fast friends, which annoys Sokka to no end). One year, Sokka overhears Suki discussing her self-defense training and makes a disparaging comment about girls and sports. Suki challenges him to a sparring match right then and there. He accepts and loses within seconds...and suddenly this girl is a lot more interesting! He apologizes, and over the years they spend more and more time together, talking, training, playing games, and genuinely falling in love. The year after they've come of age, Suki arrives wearing the necklace that was given to her family by Sokka's years ago when the match was first arranged.
