Anything in particular you'd like resources about?? :D I've been researching mesoamerican stuff as a hobby for almost two decades, my big Thing is ye olde transit and trade across the Yucatan peninsula (they very likely had an inter-citystate canal transit network!!!!). But mythology is absolutely fascinating too! If you have academic databases available I have a spreadsheet of which ones have good info on which topics. Or I can just ramble facts I've picked up somewhere. Fun useless fact, Aztec calendar had officially Cursed days so you could legally change your birthday, just in case it was evil.

oooh i’d love to hear resources on just about anything! me and my brother spend hours researching mesoamerican stuff and we find it fascinating, please send as much as you can! the aztec calender one is so silly imagine someone in a cold sweat cause their birthday was a cursed day so they gotta change it. i’d love to see the academic database spreadsheet however!

no one really ever discusses that quackity built a mesoamerican pyramid on qsmp like this is from ancient aztec times and it’s gorgeous and not enough people discuss the cultural worth of the build.

however the pyramids were also built as a way of storing the dead kings and honoring deities, it’s possible that these pyramids, despite having no kings, may store the “dead” such as the dead eggs or be an honoring place for cucurucho. unless they see cucurucho as a king? that’s also more of a theory, it’s more likely that it’s just built as a monument and nothing more.

i hope more people start discussing it though cause aztec and mesoamerican culture and architectures are gorgeous and should be discussed more cause although egyptian pyramids are the more commonly discussed, these are equally as gorgeous to me.

i kinda hate dsmp but the concept of multiverse of madness where in the film they said dreams were a peak into our multiversal lives was kinda cool and i wanna branch out on it more but i’m touching on tntduo

do you ever think qbur ever has dreams where he’s cwilbur? and he’s so confused because qbur could never do so much harm and he’s upset at the thought of being able to hurt so many people like that and then he has dreams as ghostbur and yet it’s still all so confusing because how could he dream he’s a ghost?

do you ever think qquack has dreams as cquackity? he dreams of cards and gambling and fighting with cwilbur and it’s so odd to him. he looks at himself in the mirror and he can’t explain how everything feels so wrong. he wonders why he only ever sees an alternate version of qbur but he’s evil.

but oh then cquackity and cwilbur have their dreams in the view of their qsmp self. they think of their dreams as “what could’ve been”. they mourn the loss of the happy life that they could’ve lived and cover it up with anger at the prospect of their minds showing them, flaunting in their face that they could never be that happy.

cquackity dreams of tilín though, and he dreamt during his death. he woke up with tears for a child who didn’t exist.

cwilbur dreams of tallulah. he wakes up and yearns for her. he knows she doesn’t exist, she’s not real. he goes to see fundy who is real and tommy to try and fix the yearning he has for a child whom he never met in real life, only in his dreams.

and cquackity and cwilbur adore those dreams as much as they hate it, it’s like being stuck in a fantasy. but what makes them leave is knowing none of it is real. to them at least. they are jealous of those versions of themselves that are doing so much better. but they can’t help but feel that maybe the reason why they don’t live in a fantasy just like that, is their own doing.
