A Nephew and His Uncle, A Hikaru Fanfic
This fanfic is born out of the frustration of Kageyama Hikaru not meeting his uncle. You could view this as a partial Galaxy ending!rewrite. This is my take on how their meeting would have been like. I don't know if Level-5 is ever gonna address this. If they never, at least you guys have this fic as a backup and consolidation. I had to consult some episodes of Galaxy to refresh my memory (my most unfavourable season, bless my resilience). I apologise in advance for any inconsistencies or distorted flow compared to the anime. There are minor alterations you might notice to accommodate this fic. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy the story!
*Dedicated to Hikaru, Reiji, and anyone who wished for this to happen in canon.
*The Earth Eleven only appear heavily at the first half of the story and are in no part of the reunion between Hikaru and Reiji. I apologise if you guys want to see their reactions to that.
Tenma, Tsurugi, Shindou, and Shinsuke were in the Galaxy Nauts's headroom on the way back to Earth from Falam Orbius. They were opening a video call to the Raimon Soccer Team to inform them of their return. The rest of the Earth Eleven members were making a ruckus at the back of the room trying to handle Minori who was aggressively manhandling Kusaka and Tetsukadou like they were leaves that she could brush off.
"Y-you see, M-Mizukawa-sa-" Kusaka tried to placate the girl.
"I ASKED, WHERE AM I?! ANSWER ME?!" Minori grabbed Kusaka's hair and forced him down on his knees to face her.
"Ah, my hair!"
"P-please l-listen to us. We'll be back on-" Tetsukadou stepped forward and tried to calm the green-haired girl as well.
"HUH?! YOU WANT TO FIGHT ME?! BRING IT ON!"
"Ahhhh nonono I have no inten-" Minori did not hear Tetsukadou's words. She grabbed his collar, lifted him high, and vigorously shook him back and forth.
"AHHHH, MOMMMMMYYYYY!" Tetsukadou screamed.
"Waitwaitwaitwait!" Kusaka yelled as Minori, with her hand still holding on to Tetsukadou's collar, wrapped her other arm around Kusaka's neck in an attempt to choke him. "Uck! Sa-save me..."
"They seem to be making a ruckus. Will they be fine?" Tsurugi commented to Shindou as they were watching the commotion. Meanwhile, Tenma and Shinsuke were setting up the conference at the console. "It's been a long time since I was with the team, but..."
"They will. We are the Earth Eleven after all." Shindou answered calmly. The brown-haired boy turned his body to face the monitor.
"I-is that so...?" Tsurugi eyed his senior with distress. A sweat drop rolled down his cheek. He took a glance at the back of the room, noting Ibuki making his way to sort out the fight, possibly exposing himself to torture. He quickly turned around to face the monitor, hopefully, to focus his attention on the video call.
"Tenma, are you sure you've input the details correctly? We don't want to randomly connect to some other off-world planet." Shinsuke asked from beside Tenma who was setting up the call.
"It'll be alright, Shinsuke!" Tenma said as he tapped on a few buttons while looking at a piece of paper by Kabata Shizune, the Galaxy Nauts's conductor. "I think these are the inputs...and...done!" A final push of a button and out popped a transparent window with a view of the Raimon Eleven players in the Raimon soccer clubroom.
"Hey everyone! We won the final match! We're coming back to Earth!" Tenma greeted his friends.
"Congrats on winning, everyone! How are you guys holding up?" Sangoku spoke for the team.
"A lot of things happened, Sangoku-senpai!" Shinsuke piped up. "Like Tsurugi was replaced by a Fake Tsurugi!"
"WHAT?!" The entire Raimon members exclaimed.
"And that he almost got engaged!"
"WHHAATTTTT?!"
"T-there's no engagement! I'm back now! A-and there was a proper reason for those things..." Tsurugi's flustered answer did not seem to expel the shock on the Raimon members' faces, much to the amusement to Shindou, Tenma and Shinsuke.
"Hikaru!" Tenma called out to the purple-haired boy. There was a particular reason for their call back home. An interesting gift for one of their Raimon member. After the revelation of their coach's identity before they left for space, the Raimon Earth Eleven members knew they had to do something to reconcile the kinship for both their coach and their friend. They had to delay the gift due to the severity of the situation, being that Earth Eleven needed to save their planet and the galaxy from Alien invasion. Now that the Tournament is over, they have the time to procure the present for their friend. It took a lot of convincing, some pushing and pulling from him getting away, but it got Kuroiwa to agree to the idea. Currently, the man was in his office in the Galaxy Nauts sorting out his work.
"Hm?" Hikaru hummed in acknowledgement.
"We have something special for you! From Coach Kuroiwa!" Tenma gave a warm-hearted smile. He noticed everyone's eyes widened, especially Hikaru's.
"C-Coach Kuroiwa..." Hikaru mumbled the name to himself, stunned at Tenma's words.
"What is it, Tenma?" Nishiki asked for everyone.
"He wants to talk to you about something!" Tenma replied, still with the large wide grin on his face. He could not help it. He was very happy and excited for his friend.
"Y-you're not kidding right, Tenma-kun?!" Hikaru asked. His face showed that he understood Tenma's hints. At the same time, he was uncertain if his guess was correct. All the time he consulted Tenma about Kuroiwa while Earth Eleven was still on Earth. All the mystery and confusion of his similarities to his uncle. It was going to be solved, right? "Whatever it is from Coach Kuroiwa..., it-it's the truth, right?!"
"No, I'm not lying! It's the truth!"
"We know you'll be very happy, Hikaru!" Shinsuke and Tenma both gave the purple-haired boy a grin.
"Isn't that great, Hikaru!" Amagi came around Kirino and Sangoku to put his right arm around Hikaru's shoulders, pulling him close to hug him. "Having a present from Earth Eleven's coach!"
"Ah...I-I guess so, Amagi-senpai..."
"Oi oi Tenma-kun," Kariya spoke up beside Hikaru, "What's this information about Coach Kuroiwa and Hikaru? How are you so sure that he’s telling the truth?"
"Gouenji-san and Kidou-san told us! About Coach Kuroiwa and Hikaru's un-" Tenma was cut off by Tsurugi's hand covering the brown-haired boy's mouth. He had his other hand on Tenma's shoulder to ensure he had a firm grip on the teen.
"Tenma, you're saying too much."
"We know that you're excited, but we've agreed to let Coach Kuroiwa do the explanation," Shindou whispered to Tenma, so as not to expose the secret.
"That's right, Tenma! This is a surprise for Hikaru! We shouldn't spoil it for him!" Shinsuke spoke softly to Tenma as well for the same reasons as Shindou. Tsurugi uncovered Tenma's mouth when Tenma muffled something, which Tenma quickly let out the air that he had been holding.
"Pah! ...O-oh yeah...I'm sorry everyone...heh heh!" Tenma scratched the back of his head in embarrassment.
"Tenma-kun!" The voice of Hikaru boomed through the speakers and caught the attention of the four Raimon players in the Galaxy Nauts. "P-please tell me your arrival time! I want to be there on time to meet him!" Hikaru radiated the most determination Tenma had ever seen on his friend. He knew he had to adhere to his wishes. Tenma turned to Manabe and Minaho sitting in the seat on the right beside them, hiding from the situation happening at the back.
"Manabe, what time will we land on Odaiba?" The light purple-haired boy pushed his glasses up before replying,
"Um...based on the calculations," Manabe tapped on some buttons, "it seems we will land at about three in the afternoon, Japan time, captain."
"That will be within thirty minutes. We both concluded together!"
"...! I've never said I needed your assistance, Minaho-kun."
"I know I know...Determining the answer separately gives it more credibility. Don’t you think so, Manabe-kun?"
"...Well, I won't disagree with your logic..."
"Thank you, Minaho, Manabe." Tenma turned back to the Raimon players. "You've heard them. Three PM on the dot."
"Thank you, Tenma-kun!" With that, the purple-haired boy exited the Raimon soccer club room in the speed of light, leaving the rest of the Raimon players still in the room.
"He's really excited," Kurama said with a smirk.
"Well, he's been thinking about it all this time. I wouldn't blame him for that reaction," Sangoku replied.
"He's been thinking about Coach Kuroiwa? How come?" Ichino questioned.
"Haven't you noticed? Coach Kuroiwa looks A LOT like his uncle, Kageyama Reiji!" Hamano jumped into the chat.
"If he could settle this issue with Coach Kuroiwa, it would be nice for Hikaru," Kirino spoke.
CRASH
"W-what happened?!" Kurumada asked. The four Earth Eleven members had turned their heads to the back and found Tetsukadou, Ibuki, and Kusaka on the floor bruised up. Matatagi was engaged in a staring contest with Minori. There was no clue how the fight would end with both person's destructive attitudes. The damage would hurt everyone. They had to stop the fight.
"Ah...t-talk to you guys when we're back. We have some things to take care of! See you guys later!" Tenma blurted out in a hurry.
"Byeee!" That was the last thing Tenma heard from the Raimon Eleven before he shut off the communication line.
----------------------------------------
The entire Raimon soccer team were standing in front of the Galaxy Nauts landing station. All had an excited smile on their faces, except for a certain purple-haired boy with hair shaped like pincers. He was fidgeting restlessly on his spot between Kariya and Kirino.
"Calm your nerves, Hikaru. You're too nervous." Kirino tried to calm the first-year when he noticed him quaking.
"I-I know, Kirino-senpai, b-but it could be him! There are so many things I want to talk to him about! A-at the same time, this is my first time talking to him in person, so I'm not so sure how to act in front of him...W-what if he's really strict and I embarrass myself! H-he will think I'm unworth- TAGAH!" Hikaru was interrupted by Amagi who hit his head.
"HIKARU! Listen to yourself! You've been saying how much you love soccer and how much you wanted to play in your uncle's place! You helped us perfect Double Wing! You scored a goal with your first hissatsu shot that you created! All this within the few weeks you'd been with us! You helped us progressed through the Holy Road and win the Revolution! Don't you see? You've done amazing things your uncle couldn't have done! You've worked hard to get to where you are because of your love for Raimon, your love for your uncle, and your love for soccer! You are worthy, Hikaru!"
"A-Amagi-senpai...You really think so?"
"Of course, Hikaru! We've seen it. We all agree with Amagi here." Kurumada came up to beside Amagi and patted the purple-haired senior's shoulders.
"Don't be afraid, Hikaru-kun! We believe in you!" Hayami encouraged the purple-haired boy. It seemed he was interested in the topic, even despite his meek self.
"A little bit peppy today, aren't you, Hayami?" Kurama teased him.
"I-I'm just trying to support Hikaru-kun that's all!" Kurama grinned, ignoring Hayami's protest.
"Right! Thank you so much, Amagi-senpai! Everyone!" The worries lifted from Hikaru's shoulders as he replied affirmatively.
"Heh heh, I never knew you had it in you, Amagi!" Kurumada's smile turned to a proud grin to his friend.
"W-what?"
"Yeah, Amagi! That's a great speech!" Sangoku complimented.
"You were really cool, Amagi-san," Kirino said next.
"Yes yes! I agree!" Hikaru's eyes beamed in admiration.
"You could be a minister, Amagi-san~" Hamano teased.
"I-is that so? Y-you guys think I have skills in public speaking?! Hehe...haha...HAHAHA! I, Amagi Daichi, am the best at speeches! AHAHAHA!"
"Did we let it get to his head too much?" Kariya commented on the side which no one was able to listen due to Amagi's loud laughter. Just then the loud whoosh from Galaxy Nauts's engines sounded from the skies above them. The Raimon players paused their chatting and quickly formed themselves in a line as they watched the sci-fi train descend and came to a stop at the landing track. The door opened and one by one, the Earth Eleven players exited.
"Ow...ouch!" Tetsukadou was the first out, with a black eye on his face and a bandaged wrist.
"Tek...Even my demon mode didn't work against her..." Kusaka was next, with frizzy hair and a bandaged neck.
"Are you alright, Ibuki? You were thrown very badly." Shinsuke questioned the main goalkeeper, who was limping weirdly and rubbing his shoulders.
"Tsch. I'll live."
"Hmm. Humans are so interesting. Who would have thought Potomuri-san possessing her would have suppressed her abilities that much." Minaho's ear twitched in interest.
"I prefer Minori-san when Potomuri-san was in control. He was so calm and collected." Manabe adjusted his spectacles.
"Captain should've let me handle that green-haired girl. How powerful can she be?" Matatagi rebuked at how he was pushed aside as not to start a fight with Minori.
"I thought you would say that." Zanakuro followed behind Matatagi, saying his common phrase.
"Maybe we shouldn't have hit her in the head. She could be a sweet girl if we let her-" Sakura cut off Aoi during her sentence,
"No no! That woman's a monster! An ogre!" She suggested.
"Rabbits...Flowers...Cats...Rabbits...Flowers...Cats..." Morimura was the last to exit, with her tiny form quietly mumbling safe words to herself.
The Raimon Eleven stared with their jaws wide open in astonishment. Three Earth Eleven players were injured, the girls were scared stiff, one wants to fight someone, two were discussing over possession, and out of all this mess, where were the rest of the Earth Eleven players?!
"Ah, you guys have done a number on this girl." That stopped the Raimon Eleven in their tracks. They watched a middle-age woman and Tenma carrying a green-haired girl on either side of her out of the train.
"Could you bring her to the infirmary by yourself, Auntie?" Tenma asked.
"Of course I can! Who do you think I am? She'll be up and running without you knowing!" The woman smiled widely.
"We don't exactly want her to be running around though..." Tsurugi came up behind the three, mumbling to himself.
"Sorry to trouble you like this, Auntie. Thank you." Shindou thanked Kabata Shizune before the woman gave one last wave. She brought Minori closer for her to lean against Shizune before carrying on towards the building's infirmary to take care of the girl. Kirino blinked in surprise to see his best friend. He left the other Raimon members to chat with the other Earth Eleven members, while he quickly ran up to the dark brown-haired boy, hoping he would solve all his questions.
"Shindou!"
"Kirino?"
"What happened back there, Shindou? There was a crash and-" Shindou interrupted his friend. He gave a confident smile to him in reassurance. It did not seem to placate the worry over Kirino's face.
"Don't worry, Kirino. The Earth Eleven are a strong bunch after all."
"No, no it's not, Shindou-senpai! A young girl just whipped half of our team to shreds!" Tsurugi called out on his senior's obliviousness in panic. "I'm gone for half of the tournament, and even I know that she was very different before I left!"
"Tsurugi, are you alright?" Tenma asked the blue-haired boy in concern.
"Yes...I'm fine..." At that moment Shinsuke came back to Tenma's side, so did the rest of the Raimon players who stood in a group in front of them around Kirino.
"You are afraid of her, aren't you Tsurugi?" Shinsuke chuckled into his hands.
"N-no I'm not!"
"It'll be alright, Tsurugi! Everything will work out somehow!" Tsurugi blinked. He turned his head to the brown-haired captain and stared into those light blue eyes, searching for doubts. He only found assurance. That calmed Tsurugi, just like all the other times Tenma said that sentence.
"Yeah...You're right." Tsurugi closed his eyes as he nodded, heart lifted from anguish.
"Tsurugi! Tenma! Shindou! Shinsuke!" Sangoku called the four Raimon Earth Eleven players.
"Welcome back!" The Raimon Eleven shouted. Tenma's smile shifted to a grin. He yelled back,
"It's great to be back!"
Just then, everyone heard a gasp. They turned to the sound and spotted Hikaru standing at the bottom of the platform to Galaxy Nauts, mouth and eyes wide open in shock. Meanwhile, Kuroiwa stood at the top of the platform, looking down at Hikaru. It was clear who had gasped.
"Uncl-Uhm...Coach Kuroiwa, I-"
"Hikaru." The voice of Kuroiwa made Hikaru stun for a few seconds. It did make Hikaru's nervousness disparate away.
"Y-yes?!"
"Come with me."
"Ah, yes!" The purple-haired boy followed Kuroiwa along a pathway away from the others. It seemed Kuroiwa wanted the two of them to go somewhere else to talk. The rest of the players looked at each other, wondering what they should do next.
----------------------------------------
The Raimon members were all hiding in the bushes watching and listening to the scene in front of them. It was a large crowd, but they were somehow able to squeeze themselves in and still have mild space to move about. The Earth Eleven players had to leave earlier as some had to visit the doctor for their injuries, while the others wanted to see their friends and families after the long journey away from home. Kuroiwa and Hikaru were sitting on a bench along the Odaiba bay area. Their position facing inwards instead of the waters behind them. The sun on the clear blue sky gave the audience a clearer view of their facial expressions (mostly Hikaru's), and they could see how fidgeting Hikaru was. It was clear he was still nervous due to the overwhelming presence of his uncle. His uncle, on the other hand, kept his silence. His form painfully straight, yet not causing discomfort for the older man. A pregnant silence floated between them.
"Hey is this ok? Will Kageyama be ok? Ah-wait..." Kurumada stopped himself as he pondered his question.
"Which Kageyama are you referring to?" Amagi questioned.
"T-the younger one..." Kurumada replied. Hikaru’s voice broke the silence and quickly gained everyone's attention.
"Uhm...Un-Coach Kuroiwa..."
"You can call me by my old name, Hikaru. The world knows who I am now." Hikaru gasped and quickly turned his body to face him.
"Y-you’re Kageyama Reiji! Are you really my uncle?!”
"Yes. That's correct."
"Y-you really are-...I was right..." Hikaru sighed in relief. "I-it's nice to finally meet you, Uncle Reiji!"
"It's nice to meet you too, Hikaru, my nephew." There was a pause as Reiji gathered his thoughts. "But it's best you don't associate that name with me for too long. Kageyama Reiji has died 10 years ago," Hikaru's eyes turned sorrowful upon hearing his uncle's words.
"I-I can't call you Uncle Reiji?" Kageyama Reiji tilted his head forward, downcasted.
"I'm not sure. I was supposed to have died but was illegally injected with a serum that kept me alive. Now that I have outed myself to the Soccer Association to fight the Grand Celesta Galaxy Tournament, it's only a matter of time before I'm taken back to jail." Hikaru and the others in the bushes widened their eyes in shock.
"T-that can't be..." Shinsuke said dejectedly.
"After what he has done for Earth, it wasn't enough to unwind all the bad deeds he's done in the past," Kirino spoke.
"Hikaru..." Tenma murmured dejectedly. Hikaru eyed his fingers, unsure of what to do. He finally got to meet his supposedly deceased uncle, only to find out he was going to not see him again for another few years. Maybe even forever! Suddenly, a recall of Tenma's familiar words flashed through his mind. It gave him some positive confidence.
"It's ok! Everything will work out somehow!" Reiji and the other Raimon players focused their attention on Hikaru who exclaimed that sentence. They were surprised to see a cheerful expression on his face. The orange of the evening sky emphasised the emotion on Hikaru's face, providing a sense of warmth that everything will be alright. "Hehe, that's what Tenma would've said!" The purple-haired boy smiled widely. The Raimon players relaxed their shoulders, pleased with Hikaru's answer. Meanwhile, Reiji was still in shock at his nephew's positivity despite the gloomy future that was to entail. "It's fine by me if I call you Uncle Reiji or Uncle Ryuusei, you're still my uncle! Ah! T-that is if you're alright with that. Hehe... Are you ok with me calling you my uncle?" Reiji nodded. His lips lifted to a smile.
"You may call me any way you want, Hikaru." Hikaru had a bright smile on his face upon hearing that.
"Uncle Reiji!" Reiji's lips also widened slightly upon hearing his nephew calling him by his family title.
“Yes, Hikaru.”
"Gak! Does he not realise that he's making coach's situation worse if he keeps calling him by his original name?!" Kariya clutched his hands on the sides of his head in disbelief.
"Kariya, calm down! You're too loud!" Shinsuke whispered.
"But Shinsuke-kun..."
There were a few moments of comfortable silence before Reiji shifted from his crossed arms to placing his hands on his lap. There was an uncomfortable topic he wanted to discuss.
"How's your mother?"
"M-my mother?" Reiji gave a slight nod. Not too sure if he was wandering into uncharted territories by mentioning his sister.
"My sister, is she doing well?"
"Ah...yes she's doing well, Uncle Reiji! She admired yours and grandfather's soccer! Even if there were some illegal mistakes made, you have made up for them! We both watched Italy's match with Inazuma Japan, and I can tell she's very proud of you!" Reiji instantly let go of his breath he was subconsciously holding.
"I see..." Hikaru's face stretched to a wide toothy grin.
"I started loving soccer too! After all the praises my mother said, it made me want to play soccer!"
"You...started playing soccer because of that?"
"Mm mhm!" Hikaru nodded.
"Although I started kicking the ball not too long ago, my teammates say I learn very quickly! My position's a first-year forward! I've helped Raimon in the Holy Road Revolution and protected overpowered children from taking over the future by time-travelling!"
"Oi oi, what is he saying now?!" Kariya was aghast.
"The older Kageyama looks sort of stun doesn't he?" Kirino spoke next.
"Yeah yeah! He looks more rigid and paler than before!" Shinsuke followed.
"You're right. He does look uncomfortable." Aoi mentioned.
"Soccer probably wasn't this complex ten years ago. Else, why would Coach get so stumped?" Tsurugi suggested. The Raimon players nodded to Tsurugi's statement.
"I've joined Raimon because I've heard Raimon helped save your soccer. Maybe by joining them, I could experience the feelings you've had and continue in your place! Even when you weren't around those ten years, I can continue your love for soccer and help make your plays better! I want to learn more about soccer, so I can have lots more to talk about with you!" Even if Hikaru's eyes were black, it had a twinkle of determination that stirred something within Reiji. A long-forgotten feeling he used to have when he was young and admired his father. A feeling that had gotten him to love soccer. That last sentence too brought a lot of memories in the FFI. Particularly, a certain girl during the match with Orpheus. It then surprised Reiji when he saw the radiant boy slump down in dejection. "I know I've said that I wanted to continue on your legacy, but...I was not chosen for the Earth Eleven team..."
"Hikaru..." Tenma was saddened when he heard this. He never knew Hikaru was feeling this way.
"I don't have a Soul. I wasn't strong enough to be in the team that you're coaching. I wasn't able to fight against the universe. I'm...I'm not strong enough to be what you wished to be!" Reiji stayed patiently silent, listening to his nephew's issue.
"Hikaru, I used to think that winning in soccer should be the main thing for playing it, that's what makes soccer fun, that's what makes you strong. I was wrong. Soccer's about training hard, working to surpass others, and most importantly having fun. You've already got that. Why do you need to change?" Hikaru's eyes started to water by his uncle's words. It hit hard in his already vulnerable self-loathing heart. He could feel the love and hope his uncle wanted to instil into Hikaru.
"You have a long way ahead of you, Hikaru." Reiji lifted the hand closest to his nephew and placed it on his head. "But you're doing great. I'm proud of you." A lone tear rolled down Hikaru's red cheeks as his lips quivered. Slowly, those lips shifted to a warm smile.
"YES! I'll do my best! Thank you so much, Uncle Reiji!" The older Kageyama replied with a smile. He was glad he was able to comfort his nephew. He reminded Reiji of Rushe. The girl from Italy he had helped heal her eyes. They both have the same cute and carefree take on the world. He wished he could protect that at all costs. The purple-haired first-year rubbed the remaining tears with his sleeves. "Uncle Reiji, would you like to have dinner with us?" Hikaru asked, noticing the orange of the evening sky had turned dark blue. "My mother's making her special curry tonight! I've heard it's a family recipe!" Reiji gave a saddened smile.
"I would love to, but I have some things to report back to the Soccer Association. Maybe after that, I could join you all."
"Will anything happen to you, Uncle Reiji?" The addressed man paused in mild surprise, not expecting the young boy's intuition. He shook his head.
"I don't know. I was only told to inform the outcomes of Earth Eleven's matches. I don't know what will happen to me after that."
"I see..." Hikaru's eyes drifted to his lap. Another moment of silence overcome them before Hikaru lifted himself from the bench. "This will be the last time I'll see you in a while, right?" He looked at his uncle, hoping to drive the image of him into his mind. "I hope we can meet each other again, in the future!" Hikaru smiled brightly. Reiji nodded.
"We shall see. Like a certain someone's catchphrase, 'It'll work out somehow', no?"
"Yes!" Hikaru's laughter permeated the surrounding quietness. Meanwhile, the Raimon Eleven members were still in the bushes, watching the heartfelt scene that had happened moments ago.
"Isn't it great for Hikaru, being able to meet and have a conversation with his uncle?" Tenma questioned his team.
"Yeah, I'm happy for him!" Amagi yelled with his arms raised. It was miraculous that it did not attract the two Kageyamas' attention.
"We're all happy for him, Amagi..." Kurumada told his friend.
"We should head back. It's quite late already." Shindou said, looking up at the night sky.
"You're right. The two of them have talked it out. Our job is done." Kirino stood up. The rest followed his action.
"Alright. Let's go home, everyone!" The Raimon players walked away as a group, leaving their teammate and his uncle still at the bench making up for the lost time. Their future may be bleak, but Tenma could tell they would be alright.
----------------------------------------
I’ve always thought Kageyama Reiji had a sister. It’s never mentioned, but from the way he treated Rushe seems similar to Gouenji and Kidou with their sisters. He also acts like he’s very familiar with handing a younger girl. Hence, why I’m leaning more towards younger sister. As for how Hikaru got his mother’s surname, it seems there is a thing in Japan for a child to take on their mothers’ surname. It was explained by Ishido-Shuuji, but I could not find their tumblr now so you may find out more here. Cause Endou got his surname from Daisuke who is his maternal-grandfather, we could assume this is a thing.
Thank you guys so much for reading this long fic! Bless you guys! I hope you’ve enjoyed it! <3

InaGO HospitalTrio Fanfic
My therapist told me to start writing to slowly gain back my interest and happiness in life. So here it is. It mainly focuses on what might have been a relationship for Yuuichi, Taiyou, and Shindou (I have no clue what they’re called, I call them HospitalTrio). There is Yuuichi x Taiyou (HospitalShip, I call it YuuTai) cuz I find their relationship the purest and most supportive ever. And due to my circumstances, I felt I relate more to Yuuichi better than before. So this fic is dedicated to him and how much I wish for his happiness. The romance is mostly pining on Taiyou’s part. I’m unsure about Yuuichi as he’s oblivious yet still teases Taiyou to see him flustered.
Yuuichi woke up at about nine in the morning on his hospital bed. It was a peaceful sleep, and it seemed he woke up to a lovely morning as well. The sun rays shone into the room from the hospital windows, inviting a warm feeling into his often plain looking room. The curtains bristled from the light breeze outside, and Yuuichi could briefly smell the scent of flowers from the hospital garden. The dark blue haired eighteen-year-old boy smiled, the mole near his lips twitching along with the movement, and his brown eyes glistened with joy.
Today seems to be a good day... He thought to himself.
"Ah Yuuichi-kun, you're awake." A certain nurse called from his room's door. The boy, Yuuichi, turned his head from the window where the voice was, seeing the familiar purple hair and blueish eyes from his regular nurse, Fuyuka. "Good morning!" She said with a smile.
"Good morning, Fuyuka-san," Yuuichi replied in greeting as Fuyuka walked pass his bed and to his bedside to help lift the top half for the dark-haired boy to sit up.
"Any plans for today?" Fuyuka asked. Proceeding to move the wheelchair stationed at the corner of the room, to have it placed at the young lad's bedside, and nearer to the door for ease of mobility if Yuuichi wants to leave the room. His legs maybe unable to move, but he is strong enough to carry himself to and fro his wheelchair.
"Not right now. I think my younger brother is coming to see me in the evening, but that's all that I have for the day. Is there something going on?" Fuyuka giggled with mirth, causing Yuuichi to blink in confusion.
"We have a new patient who just got admitted here yesterday. I think you should meet him," Fuyuka said with an air of knowledge around her. Yuuichi continued his confused blinking at her, hoping she would explain in details to clear the questions in his head. "Things come when you least expect it. It might spark something special. Enjoy your breakfast, Yuuichi-kun." With that the purple-haired nurse left the room, leaving Yuuichi to ponder what she meant by that.
----------------------------------
"I'm bored, Yuuichi-san~" Amemiya Taiyou, a thirteen-year-old boy in the same pale blue hospital clothing as Yuuichi, with orange-hair styled like the sun, whined as he stretched out his arms across Yuuichi's bed from where he sat on the visitor's chair beside Yuuichi. He then took out a pencil and balanced it on the bridge between his nose and mouth, his aqua blue eyes narrowed in concentration. It was after lunch and the first-year Junior High student sneaked out of his room to accompany the young lad who was in the room beside his. Not that Yuuichi was bored, but he appreciated the younger's efforts since he was mostly stuck in his room.
"Taiyou-kun, I understand that you want to play soccer, but you've just finished your heart surgery after that match with Raimon Junior High. You shouldn't do any intensive activities." Taiyou puffed his cheeks in a pout, amazingly still balancing the pencil.
"I know, but I REALLY want to play soccer!"
"Taiyou-kun, please think of other things besides soccer. You've really made me worried when I saw you on the field yesterday." Taiyou flinched by the young lad's words, recalling his recent match between his school, Arakumo Academy, and Raimon Junior High that caused his already weak heart to worsen. He fixed his attention to Yuuichi, watching the brown in his eyes swirl in worry and disappointment. Taiyou dropped his head and lips to a frown, his eyes focused on his fingers fidgeting on his lap. He let the pencil fall on the bed. It did a light bounce before rolling a little and stopping near Yuuichi's leg.
"I'm sorry, Yuuichi-san. I didn't mean to worry you. I just really miss soccer." Yuuichi sighed heavily from his nose, his shoulders dropped from its tensed position. The older male believed the younger knew he had done wrong and need not be reprimanded. Although this same scene had happened several times too many that Yuuichi sometimes wondered if the younger knew the severity of his illness. The navy-haired boy answered with the same phrase he always said whenever this scene repeated itself.
"Please take care of your health. We've promised each other to play soccer together in the future once your heart and my legs are fixed." Yuuichi paused as he shifted his gaze elsewhere, reminiscing something far away, "And I don't blame you. I miss soccer too..." Yuuichi subconsciously rubbed his left knee which was his immobile leg, the one that was injured by the fall. This action did not miss Taiyou's eyes. The orange-haired boy quickly grasped the older boy's hands. The other lad looked up at Taiyou and noticed he had a determined look in his eyes.
"Yuuichi-san, I'm sorry for forgetting about our promise. I'll do my best to recover so that you won't have to worry anymore!" Taiyou gave a warm-hearted smile. Sensing that confidence, the navy-haired boy returned the smile and nodded his head. He would trust Taiyou that he would set on healing his health this time.
"Alright, Taiyou-kun."
"Anyway Yuuichi-san," Taiyou diverted the conversation as he removed his hands from Yuuichi's and placed them palms down on the bed, "I've heard there's a new patient from Raimon in the hospital." Taiyou grinned with his teeth. Yuuichi blinked in confusion similar to his response with Fuyuka that morning. So the new patient mentioned by Fuyuka is from Raimon? Could it be they are in the soccer club too? He was unaware that a student from the same school as his brother was in the hospital. At the same time, what are the chances if it was someone from the soccer club? Not understanding what was going on, Yuuichi decided to voice his question.
"From Raimon?"
"The new patient is Raimon Soccer club's captain, Shindou Takuto!" Taiyou lifted his arms like he was displaying whatever was up in the sky. Yuuichi stared at his hospital friend. Shindou Takuto? The second-year Raimon captain? The team that helped his younger brother, Tsurugi Kyousuke, enjoy soccer again. Yuuichi instantly felt a sense of curiosity and felt like meeting him. He wanted to thank his brother's teammate for letting him fit in and play the soccer that both brothers love. Although, why was the captain of the Raimon soccer team admitted to hospital? He did not get injured, did he? Yuuichi was only able to watch the broadcast of the Holy Road match on television and was unaware of any other person hurt as the viewing ended once the match was over. The only ones who probably knew the outcome would be the people who were physically at the scene. His brother was unable to inform him of any updates as visiting hours were over by the time the caravan reached Inazuma town.
"Shindou-kun? Why is he here? Is he alright?" Yuuichi asked his question in concern. Taiyou returned to his previous sunken mood.
"He fainted after our match. It seemed he pushed himself too hard after getting hurt during it..." Taiyou flinched again once Yuuichi's frowned in disapproval, "I-it's isn't my fault, Yuuichi-san!"
"All you soccer freaks and your passion for soccer..." Yuuichi sighed in disappointment, in which Taiyou smiled warmly in response.
"You are one too you know, Yuuichi-sa- Eh?" Taiyou halted his teasing at his friend when the dark blue-haired boy pulled his wheelchair closer to his bedside, "Yuuichi-san?" The older of the two gave a determined smile on his face when he replied to the younger.
"Come on, let's go visit Shindou-kun."
----------------------------------
A brownish-grey, shoulder-length, wavy-haired boy was in his hospital room watching a soccer match on the television in front of him. He had maroon brownish eyes and had on a pale brown hospital gown different from the regular one due to his family status. It was then when he heard a knock on his door.
"Come in!" He called. Maroon orbs followed the two new visitors who entered the room. One, he recognises as Amemiya Taiyou, was pushing the other in a wheelchair to the bedside. "Uhm. Can I help you two?"
"Hi, Shindou-kun! I'm Taiyou! Remember me from the previous match?" The patient of the room, now known as Shindou, replied.
"Y-yeah I remember you. It’s great to see that you're alright. Uhm...and you are?" Shindou referred to the blue-haired lad in the wheelchair, who smiled back as he replied,
"My name's Tsurugi Yuuichi. Nice to meet you, Shindou-kun." The brown-haired captain's eyes widened upon hearing the familiar surname of his teammate.
"Tsurugi?! Are you related to..."
"Yes. Kyousuke is my younger brother. Thank you for taking care of him." Shindou, upon hearing the senior thanking him, felt an immense sense of gratitude and firmly replied,
"Ah, it's nothing." Shindou waved his right hand back and forth in denial. He calmly placed both his hands on his blanket and smiled in return, "He's helped us score many of Raimon's goals. Without him, we wouldn't be able to reach the finals." Yuuichi's heartwarming smile widened upon hearing his younger brother's praises.
"Thank you, Shindou-kun. I hope Kyousuke's able to help Raimon to victory." Shindou's smile widened as well, pleased with the answer.
"I hope so too."
"Anyway, we're here to welcome you to Raimon General Hospital," Taiyou piped up from his spot behind Yuuichi. "The two of us are here in the hospital most of the time, so we're glad to see another familiar face!"
"He means that he's glad to find another soccer freak in this hospital," Yuuichi teased with an innocent smile on his lips.
"That's mean, Yuuichi-san!" Taiyou frowned at the navy-haired boy, his eyebrows narrowed towards each other to show his displeasure, although his eyes twinkled in merry as if he was not offended by the older lad's words. Yuuichi ignored the burning stare behind him and turned his head to slightly address Taiyou, a knowing smile on his face.
"At least I can control my love for it by staying in my room." The orange-haired boy's cheeks turned red by that comment.
“Yuuichi-sannn!” His cheeks puffed out more in anger and embarrassment, while Yuuichi chuckled into his hands at his successful teasing. Meanwhile, Shindou sat on his bed staring at the scene in front of him in surprise. He was indeed shocked to find the brother of his most cool teammate teasing the kind and loyal captain of possibly the strongest team his team has ever faced. It was more shocking to see the kind and loyal captain react so cutely(?) to the teasing. Shindou subconsciously opened his mouth to mumble.
"You two...are very close." That comment made both boys turn their attention to Shindou. Yuuichi blinked in confusion, while Taiyou's eyes grew to the size of saucers and the redness on his face grew to cover his whole face.
"I-it's not like that?!" The blushing boy exclaimed.
"Is that so? Well, we are the only ones here who love soccer, so we tend to spend more time with each other. Taiyou-kun is the one coming to my room most of the time though." The innocent smile on Yuuichi appeared back on his face.
"Y-y-Yuuichi-san!" If Taiyou's cheeks could flush any stronger, it was this moment. He buried his face into his hands, trying inevitably to hide his red face. Shindou, finding the Arakumo Academy's captain flustered amusing, started laughing along with Yuuichi.
"S-Shindou-san, you too?!"
"S-sorry! You're acting very differently from how you were during our match. Yuuichi-san brings this side of you very well," Shindou hinted in amusement, which flew over Yuuichi's head but caught Taiyou's attention.
"Shindou-san! Stoppppp!" Even if Yuuichi did not catch the hint by Shindou, he was still bemused by his orange-haired friend. He watched as Taiyou tried to physically force down his blush to no avail. It was funny to see his friend appear so flustered, but Yuuichi thought it was time to tone down their teasing on the first-year.
"Alright, I think it's almost five soon. Kyousuke is going to visit me later so I have to get back." Yuuichi once again rotated his head to the boy behind him. "Taiyou-kun, could you help me back to my room? We can continue talking to Shindou-kun tomorrow." A red tinge of red was still present on the orange-haired captain after he removed his hands from his face, much to the amusement to the other two. Taiyou nodded, mind in a mild blur from the constant teasing by his seniors. He quickly recovered, grabbed the handle of Yuuichi's wheelchair and pushed him towards the door. Both visitors rounded their heads back to wave goodbye to the Raimon captain. "Goodbye, Shindou-kun." Yuuichi said first.
"See you tomorrow, Shindou-san!" Taiyou followed. With that, the door closed shut, leaving Shindou alone in his room once more. The Raimon captain settled comfortably on his bed and continued watching the television.
----------------------------------
The two patients were making their way down the hall to the lifts to go down a level where their rooms were located.
"Are you alright, Taiyou-kun? Sorry for teasing you earlier," Yuuichi asked in concern, his head stayed facing forward as it was a bit hard to turn his head around to look at Taiyou while the wheelchair was moving.
"I-I'm fine, Yuuichi-san! Don't worry about me!" Taiyou shuttered out in embarrassment. Yuuichi did not believe the orange-haired boy but decided to patiently let it go.
"If you say so..."
"Taiyou-kun, Yuuichi-kun, there you two are!" The two boys looked up to find Nurse Fuyuka standing in front of them.
"Fuyuka-san?" Taiyou and Yuuichi called her with a querying tone in their voice.
"I was worried when I couldn't find both of you in your rooms, but I'm glad to see you two at this level." The nurse expressed her glee with her smile and turned her attention to Yuuichi. "You have met Shindou-kun, right? How is he, Yuuichi-kun? Did he meet your expectations?" Both boys blinked in confusion. Taiyou as he did not know what was going on, while Yuuichi had a tingling feeling he knew what she was referring to. He opened his mouth to ask,
"Fuyuka-san, the special patient...is Shindou-kun?" Fuyuka nodded in reply.
"He's your brother's teammate. I thought you might want to get to know him. Except Taiyou-kun beat me at introducing the both of you. I was thinking of letting you two meet at one of the lounges."
"I see. I'm glad Kyousuke has kind team members to rely on. It's relieving to hear that. Even if we didn't get to meet as you would've wanted, thanks for informing me about him," Yuuichi voiced what he had felt. He was indeed relieved to know that his younger brother is doing well and to have met Shindou. He's grateful towards Fuyuka and Taiyou for getting him to meet the brownish-grey haired boy.
"You're welcome." Yuuichi and Fuyuka gave each other a thankful smile.
"Eh? Fuyuka-san, why didn't you tell me about Shindou-san? I want to meet him too!" The purple-haired nurse had her lips in a frown.
"You've already met him in the match, Taiyou-kun..." Fuyuka then had her hands on the sides of her hips in an angry stance.
"Also, you found out through sneaking out, didn't you? What did I tell you about resting?"
"Hehehe..." Taiyou chuckled weekly. Fuyuka sighed before she spoke,
"Well, let's bring you two back to your rooms. Visiting hours are starting soon." Fuyuka made her way to the back of Yuuichi's wheelchair, in which Taiyou stepped aside to give space for the nurse. The three of them made their way back to their rooms. All the while, Yuuichi had a pleased smile on his face.
Today is a good day.

Tsurugi Yuuichi HC (A look into his future)
The last time we saw Yuuichi was back in Go before Kyousuke left for the team’s space adventure. At that time, he was still in his crutches, telling Kyousuke about he’s going to be able to walk soon. Unfortunately for all of us, he was never shown or mentioned again after the series ended. Just want to share to you guys what I think the future holds for this wonderful character whilst staying onto his canon self.

Thank you Inazuma Eleven & GO
Hey everyone, I do have an important thing I need to share regarding my absence both back in 2014 and 2019. Mostly 2019 after I uploaded my Raimon Junior High Chapter 4. I know people expect a chapter update on my Raimon Jr High fanfic, I’m sorry to disappoint on that.
I haven't been feeling mentally well since 2019 cause I realised that it had been 9 years (back in 2019) since I joined IE and those times were the best days of my life. I got to show my creative side, my love for an anime, and made so many friends on FF.net and here. I was basically the happiest those times. Every break in school I had, on the bus ride home, or even resting at home, I would be thinking about new ideas for stories, or writing them in my phone notes, or just reading IE fanfics.
All those were lost when I went into high school (basically college in my country) and had projects with deadlines to complete which took up majority of my time due to my then pre-formed anxiety issue of not hitting deadlines. Then 2019 came and Idk how I came back to IE (i guess I wanted to watch Kusaka x Morimura, not too sure what happened really), I watched the last Galaxy episode and heard Ten Made Todoke! which is the GO first season opening song which is basically a nostalgia song for me, not just my preference, the tune and music itself would bring up some sort of nostalgia to everybody to be honest. And then they bought back Tenma's dribbles which was the skill Tenma showcased in the first GO season (Holy Road) but slowly lost it when he became captain and Chrono Stone season onwards as he matured as a captain.
Then I felt very mad and depressed cause I knew I lost all my creativeness and writer's sense (if that's what you call it?). I used to be able to picture how the characters would act in certain situations, how they speak (which are quite on-point judging by a review or message from a reader who I could not find the username, such a lovely person!), and these would just flow out of me as I sit in front of my laptop and type in docs page back then. The grammar and writing style was very childish and painfully cringy, but I had a lot of fun writing and it gave me a lot of hope and happiness just from reading the 3-5 reviews from readers (Bless u guys for favouriting, following, and reviewing my stories!).
Still, I sort of pushed myself to publish this Raimon Junior High fanfic as I was forcing myself to get back all the skills I had lost before I came back in 2019. Each time I review my drafts, I'm completely stumped and shocked by some of the phrases I'd used, even some of the conversations don't make sense to me anymore (and I know my past self's character's speech patterns are on-point as stated in the previous paragraph). My brain couldn't even think of those phrases and convos when I was writing this fic. So the depression, stress, feelings of loss, all lead me to slowly delay the update of this fic to practically leaving it hanging. It irks me by the way, to leave it like this. I just couldn't take it anymore and I guess the easiest way was to leave it.
Then my younger brother (I don't know if anyone knows this but yes I do have 1 sibling) and his girlfriend were watching Cells at Work! anime on Netflix and the main white blood cell voice actor is the same voice actor for Tsurugi Yuuichi in GO. Hearing him made me recall back the times I searched about the voice actor due to his singing capabilities (his singing was kyaaaaa (long time no type that lol) in the Onaji Yume Wo Miteru Tsurugi brothers character song) and also 'cause IE GO basically blew up many voice actors' fanbase as it was a pretty popular anime in Japan. So I checked back on IE GO again to hear his 2011 voice and sort of hear his improvements as a voice actor. I knew I was going to feel all the sadness and loss again upon hearing the GO first opening again (which it did), worse the Tsurugi brothers arc made me legitimately cry cause I sort of related to Yuuichi in a way better than when I was in middle school.
The feeling of happiness in the past and having to leave it for 6+ years until the present, to then realise you are probably too old to continue persuing the thing which you love back then (because to start to be a professional sports player, you have to be young like before 22 years old young, at least that's what I've heard of.) and the fact that you have to relearn everything which takes pretty much a long damn time, and even more if you want to do so professionally, is gonna eat up the years you have to pursue the job. This thought hit me so hard that I had a mental breakdown. Their character song (as I said I got back to IE GO and started relistening to the character songs which I've never heard in a lonnnnng time for Yuuichi's voice) added this depression even more. The first line by Tsurugi Kyousuke, "We always used to run together, chasing after a ball..." and the image of the two brothers flashed in my mind would break me to pieces as it was a happy moment for Yuuichi and it reminded me of my happy days here, although now he's stuck in the present with a disability similar to me being stuck with my depression and loss writer sense.
Which lead to me typing this long text out. I've reviewed the existing drafts of Raimon Jr High (they weren't automatically removed yet as 1 year hasn't passed since I updated on FF.net) and just felt I should just end this fic in a way with a plot plan at least because I know the me right now probably could not finish this fic. Please kindly read it and imagine the scenes you could possibly think of for the chapters. When I do get better, I want to edit some of the drafts to whichever chapter I am most confident in completing. The fic itself is following the GO season (1-20), then Chrono Stone (21-30), then Galaxy (31-50). I won't do Galaxy (i will explain in detail in the Galaxy Rant portion in a separate post) as I left the fandom during that time and aren't as close to the characters compared to the previous 2 seasons (to say it nicely).
I want to say, thanks if any of you read this till the end. I really appreciate it. It really irks me to leave this (or any) story hanging, yet I want to at least give a reason why, the process of it happening, and the fic plans for each chapter so you guys at least know roughly how Raimon Jr High fanfic would have ended. I'm still trying to find myself and love myself again like back then. Therapy is terribly slow and sometimes I feel better after a therapy, and then I encounter another negative thing in my life and feel all this sadness all over again (especially any past regarding IE). I dearly wish I could go back to the past yet time doesn't allow that and you have to move on. I don't know what to make of the future. I don't know if I will ever get better. I do hope what when I do get better and gain back the creativeness, I would have the time to continue this fic until the Chrono Stone 'season' ends as that was my main motivation for writing this fic. I do wish all of you the best and all the happiness in the world cause we all deserve it, even if you think you're normal or average. Cause I am average and aren't as happy as I was, and I deeply wish I could feel that happiness again. Thank you guys again! Hontou ni arigatou! (Long time no type that too lol)

InaGo Galaxy Rant
Hey everyone, I haven't been feeling mentally well since 2019 cause I realised that it had been 9 years (back in 2019) since I joined IE and those times were the best days of my life. I just felt like I had to talk about Galaxy and my view on it as it has been bugging me since 2013.
Galaxy, in my opinion, isn't my favourite season. I know this is probably the minority of the fandom. Please don't hate me! I mostly feel this way because I felt Level-5 basically threw the GO Raimon characters away and slot in new characters just to challenge Tenma's captain ability. Because he would be too busy being captain-like, that he wouldn't notice Tsurugi getting captured and replaced by an alien-look-a-like, which is also vital to his development. I get that it could be because of this that's why Level-5 needed new team members as the Raimon players will definitely listen to him since he's been their teammate for so long and will probably realise if Tsurugi got replaced. Tenma needed that challenge to develop as a captain. Saying that, I felt the GO Raimon players had so many character development like Kirino, Nishiki, and Taiyou that were all in the Strongest 11 in Chrono Stone, and should have been selected, but to only appear for like 3 episodes? (at best based on my memory), pushed aside as they have no 'Soul' abilities. Keshin and Keshin Armed are thrown aside as well like ? (the game still had them + Souls like why are you so different?). I was at least happy Shinsuke got in halfway before Earth Eleven left for space, and had a good friendship with Tetsukadou who has the same voice actor as Kariya whom Shinsuke had a close friendship with too (sort of like a throwback to GO, Kariya was such a great character too, many people in the fandom even Japan liked him a lot).
Don't get me wrong, I loved the plot and the alien characters were great (like Powai & Banda & Hilary, etc) I did like majority of the Earth Eleven members. (Please don't hate me again!) I mainly don't like Matatagi and Ibuki (There I said it). I know they are popular in the fandom, let me explain. I just felt they were quite a**holes to the other members. Like Matatagi was plain out rude (you shouldn't say such things to anyone ever. It could demoralise them. You also shouldn't be teaching your brothers this attitude as well. It's not nice to others). He also didn't have character development, just revealing the kind of person that he was hiding under. I also felt he was trying to be the 2nd Tsurugi, he was shooting majority of the goals, but I guess we could say it's because Tsurugi was swapped with an alien and that's why he couldn't show his moves much. Ibuki's pride got on my nerves a lot and his dynamic with angry!Shindou is just -_-". This relationship started purely from angry!Shindou which didn't make sense to me. I know that Shindou's no longer angry in later episodes and people ship him with Ibuki. (there is sexual tension between the two I'll admit and that my hatred towards Ibuki might be formed from my bias as a TakuRan fan, still don't like Ibuki though) I get that this is the way they were written, I'm not faulting their writing. In my opinion, the personalities I like would lean more towards the GO Raimon Players as they were nicer personality-wise and had excellent teamwork. It could be as I left the fandom during the time Galaxy was airing and aren't as close to the Earth Eleven characters compared to the previous 2 seasons. I did watch the first few episodes and just dislike them. I did try to give it a shot once more over time, hence my MinaMana fic (I did ship them due to the game, they had a lot of moments there). Kusaka and Morimura were cute too. I still do not feel as close as I could to the new members.
Another thing, I don't know what's up with Shindou, he's like mad at the new members all the time which isn't his character in the first 2 seasons. He used to be a captain as well, which means he should be nice and accepting to the new members and try to persuade and teach them but he ended up just flat out hatred for them which was so ooc (Even though he was a temporary captain in the match in Chrono Stone with Protocol Omega captains, Shindou was still trying to gather the players together). Tsurugi's status as ace striker decreased, can't fault him for that as he disappeared half of the season (still it was disappointing not seeing him in action much). Kageyama Reiji, I thought we've established that he's a nice and yasashii person back in the Original series FFI arc? What happened to that? I know he has his own weird way to show his love for soccer but this new Kageyama is like a completely new person to me. He's clouded in mystery that you just can't link Kuroiwa with Original Kageyama. Also, Kageyama Reiji + Hikaru = ?, did they forget about him? Hikaru definitely saw his uncle when they were choosing the next Earth Eleven players. Disappointed... (I know the game did have Hikaru mention Kuroiwa sometimes but that's it, no reunion whatsoever. I would have loved for Hikaru to talk to his uncle about himself playing soccer for him and bonding with Kageyama over their love for soccer. Kageyama Reiji had such a cute relationship with Rushe so having a similar bond with Hikaru might have been better. At least all the explanations by Hikaru about being a Kageyama in GO build up to something). Hikaru, Kariya, and Nishiki are the new members of Raimon that fought in the Holy Road. They were like a big part of the revolution. Getting smaller roles in Chrono Stone was one thing, completely ignored in Galaxy was another. My man Yuuichi! You only appeared once and just forgotten. I want to see you kick the ball, I want to see you play soccer again! Level-5 appreciate him more please!
I'm ok with the Galaxy plot, it was the best way to end the GO series, I'm not denying that. The challenge to Tenma as a captain and questioning his friendship with Tsurugi at the last moment was so great, and those two scenes with Katora and Lalaya were sweet (sort of could be seen as romantic and its not kind for my KyouTen heart) and they added towards the plot (the game did it a lot better), the match between Tsurugi and Tenma was such a nice way to elaborate their friendship. I really love the part when Tenma was so heartbroken when he found out Tsurugi was playing for Falam Orbius, thank you Terasaki Yuka-san for making Tenma sound heartbroken (i needed it to mend my crushed KyouTen heart)! I'm glad at the end they brought back Tenma's dribbles and his casual love for soccer (a throwback to GO final match), Ten Made Todoke! played (throws nostalgia at you), black hole's gone and Earth Eleven heads back home all happy with the Raimon players. I'm also sort of glad they brought back the captains of Holy Road into Galaxy as Resistance Japan, Hakuryuu my boy is back! Shinsuke gets to protect the goal once more! BLESS my boy!
So yeah, I was sort of ok with Galaxy (sorry if I sounded like I wasn't), plot-wise was great, character-wise hmmm depends on individuals I guess, perhaps better writing for them might have been better? It seems the game did this season more justice compared to the anime. Kageyama's ending was weird like there was more they could have elaborated (seemed like there's a continued series?) but that was thrown aside (I'm open for anyone to explain this better for me).
Anyways, thanks everyone for sticking around this rant about Galaxy. Please know that these are my opinion on the season and every person perceive things differently than others. No hate here please.

"Matsukaze." Tenma was in her classroom listening to Haruna's history lesson when a voice from her right called her. She turned her head, meeting Tsurugi's eyes, and couldn't stop the flush showing up on her cheeks. He looks kinda good looking with that stern stare. Girls like the bad boy type, don't they? W-what am I thinking?!
"Ah...yes?" Tenma whispered, so that Otonashi-sensei wouldn't hear them.
"I forgot my textbook. Can we share?" Tsurugi asked. Tenma recalled him saying that they were partners and that they could help each other out. Tsurugi had never carried a bag now that Tenma noticed. He probably was leaving books in his locker, but why does he not have all the books in his locker?! Tenma wondered.
"Oh, no problem. But how do we do that? We can't join tables."
"Put it on the floor." Tsurugi replied, pointing to the space in between them. Tenma did exactly that. She then went back to looking at the board as Haruna wrote something down. Tenma copied what was on the board into her notebook. There was a still silence between them, until a few minutes later when Tenma heard Tsurugi grunting, "God, I can't see the words." Tenma turned her head back to the boy beside her who was looking down at her textbook. She copied where his glaze was and immediately understood what he meant. The words were really small from this distance. Too small to even make out the words printed on the pages. The only thing noticeable would be the pictures, but it didn't help much with understanding the lesson.
It was then when Haruna told the class to read their textbooks for better understanding of the chapter. Because the words are super small, they both had to bend down for a closer look at the book. And because they had to bend down, their heads were really close to each other. Tenma did not notice the closeness between them at first. Only when Tsurugi flipped a page and Tenma took a glance up at him due to reflex, that she found that their faces were too close to each other. Tenma had to fight off her blush from forming on her face. Luckily, Tsurugi was too busy with the book to notice Tenma's situation.
"So, how was history you guys?" Aoi asked during the break,
"It was awesome! We get to learn about Japan's past! Otonashi-sensei made it so interesting! She's my favourite teacher already!" Shinsuke immediately answered. Aoi nodded, agreeing with her statement. It was yesterday when Haruna taught her class history, and she too found it interesting through her teaching. She focused her attention to Tenma as she had not answered yet. Her friend looked like she was in a daze.
"What about you, Tenma?"
"Uhm...I understood her lesson and her teaching was very interesting. Also, Tsurugi didn't bring his book today." Aoi's jaw dropped. Not only were her thoughts about the lesson seemed like she was not interested in the topic, but also when she heard the mention of a certain bully, the liveliness in her voice appeared, like she was more interested about Tsurugi.
Shinsuke, on the other hand, didn't have any reaction to what Tenma said, mostly because of the phone call yesterday from Tenma where Shinsuke told that she trusted her judgement of Tsurugi, she also did have to agree with Tenma about the change in Tsurugi's personality as she noticed he was not bullying anybody in the same class as him unlike in elementary school.
"T-Tenma! Do you know what you are saying!?" Aoi questioned,
"Ah yeah...I-I know I'm talking about Tsurugi, but he's really a nice guy now!" Aoi sighed, she had given up trying to change her friend's mind. After her apology on the phone before bed yesterday, Aoi started to understand why Tenma had a different impression of Tsurugi than before. Her classmates were also saying that Tsurugi changed too, and seemed a lot nicer now. He still kept to himself, but the bullying stopped and instead, he was nicer to people. Aoi was still skeptical about it and was just worried about her friend.
"I understand Tenma. I'm just worried about you that's all."
"I know Aoi." They both smiled at each other, knowing that this problem was solved. They went back to the topic, about Tsurugi that is,
"So what happened with Tsurugi?" Aoi inquired,
"He asked for my textbook to share. I placed it on the floor as we can't join tables without Otonashi-sensei finding out."
"He asked you really nicely didn't he?" Shinsuke finally spoke,
"Yeah, he asked, 'Can we share?' in the kindest voice I know!" Tenma answered by trying to imitate Tsurugi's voice. Her high pitch voice failed her though.
"Hmm...Tsurugi is starting to become quite popular in my class. Some of the girls in my class are crushing on him already." Aoi started another topic about the navy blue haired boy, suddenly remembering a conversation she had overheard the day before. Shinsuke jumped to gain the attention of the other girls,
"Our class too! You know that maroon haired girl, Aira? She sits beside me. Aira-chan asked me how she should confess to Tsurugi after seeing my confession to Shindou-senpai!"
"Wow...I never knew him changing could cause him so much popularity." Tenma commented,
"You might never know, he might rise up to be popular like Shindou-senpai in the future." Aoi guessed. The bell rang which is the signal for the end of their break. "Ah! Time to go. See you guys later!"
"Bye Aoi!" The two best friends waved at the blue haired girl as she ran back to her classroom, just like the other students running around the hallway, getting back to class.
"Ah~! No homework today!" Tenma stretched her arms high into the air, her back ache from sitting too long and having to listen to the teachers boring talk. Tenma was really happy for having no homework for the day. Our brown haired girl was walking back home alone as Aoi and Shinsuke said that they wanted to take the no homework day as a free time to look for a club to join. Tenma, on the other hand, decided to just go back to Aki's manor and sleep till dinner time as it was not very often that junior high students get to have no homework for a day. Out of the blue, a flashback of Tsurugi asking for her textbook this morning flashed into her mind. She felt her cheeks heating up for no reason. Having this renewed Tsurugi seemed to be a good thing. Tenma was beginning to like this new Tsurugi.
Then a question came to mind. What made him changed? If this was a question in an exam, many people would have no idea of the answer and all might get this question wrong, except for Tsurugi that is. There were many possibilities for the sudden change, but there was one that seemed very likely and could account for the change in the two months break before their year started. His parents found out about his bullying and scolded him. Tsurugi realised his mistakes and decides to be nicer to others. However, most of the time, the boy would ignore scoldings and continue bullying others. Seriously, what made Tsurugi change so much? Tenma's head started to hurt from thinking so much. She closed her eyes and massaged her forehead. Once she reopen them, he spotted Tsurugi walking towards a hospital. Curious, she followed him.
Could it be that he has a family member in the hospital who had a serious illness? Maybe that was why Tsurugi decided to change, but that had to be someone really close to him. His mother perhaps? Hoping Tsurugi won't notice her, Tenma darted and hid behind many walls or plants that could hide her. Finally, seeing him entering a room. She hid behind a wall and listened in on their conversation.
"Nee-san." Tsurugi said in a really sweet and kind voice. Tenma's eyes flew open, she never knew that he had an older sister! Judging from the tone of voice, this elder sister must hold great importance to Tsurugi.
"Kyousuke!" Tenma heard a woman's voice. She had such a sweet and calming voice, totally opposite of Tsurugi. "You came!" Tenma imagine Tsurugi smiling. She heard a chair being dragged and someone, most probably Tsurugi, sitting down. They continued their conversation, "So how is school?"
"It's fine as always."
"Excuse me." Someone asked Tenma from behind which shocked her and made her jumped, "May I know why you are standing here?" A purple haired woman with bright sea coloured eyes, wearing the Raimon general hospital nurse uniform stood there holding onto a clipboard against her chest. She had one sweet and cute voice when she demanded to know what Tenma was doing. Tenma knew she could not reply. Tsurugi may recognize her voice. She could imagine Tsurugi and his sister looking at the door, wondering what had happen, and then Tsurugi would walk towards it to check. Any second now, he would be at the door, getting mad at Tenma for following him. Tenma had to run. Now! Before the purple haired nurse could speak, Tenma dash off with a cloud of dust leading her trail.

Hm...was it because my upload was on a monday, that’s why there were no notes from tumblr regarding my fic? Well, now I’ve uploaded on sunday, so it should be better! :)
Disclaimer: I seriously, 100%, totally don't even own the charas, their backgrounds, their clothes, their whatever. My name is not Hino and I'm not even Japanese. Lots of genderbend characters. You've been warned.
"You are late, Tenma!" Aoi reprimanded, placing her hands in her hips, after hearing running footsteps coming towards her. They had agreed to meet once break time started. It was already fifteen minutes past that!
"Heh heh...Gomen, Aoi." Tenma stopped in front of the blue haired girl, looking apologetically at her. Aoi continued fiercely staring at her friend before noticing the short brunette girl beside her.
"Aren't you the girl who asked to be the student councilor president's girlfriend just now?" Aoi crouched down to be in the same level as her.
"Yes!"
"You're not embarrassed?" Shinsuke shook her head. Aoi smiled, finding the girl very brave, and introduced herself,
"I'm Sorano Aoi. Nice to meet you!"
"Nice to meet you too, Tenma's childhood friend! I guess you know my name already." Shinsuke rubbed the back of her tilted head while looking down in embarrassment. Aoi smiled back with a wider smile. She stood up and eyed Tenma.
"So how is Tsurugi?" Aoi asked, remembering seeing the bully's name in the class list when they both looked for their new class. She took her friend's hands, worry in her eyes, "Did he demand for your money? Tell me whatever he did to you."
"Eh!? Tsurugi Kyousuke is in our class!?" Shinsuke didn't realize the navy blue haired boy was in the same class as her and Tenma. "Tenma, are you alright?" Aoi looked around, hoping not to spot for any familiar navy blue. She turned back to Shinsuke and placed a finger on her lips, signaling her to soften down her voice. It would be bad if he heard them.
"Ah...he's..." The voice of Tenma lead to the other two girls to face her. Tenma gazed upwards, trying to find a word that best described Tsurugi, "he's changed..."
"Changed?!" Both girls eyes widened, their eyebrows shot up into their bangs. Tenma brought her head back down,
"He didn't do any of those things, the bullying, the beating. He just said hi and then continued on with the lesson." Tenma explained further. Aoi and Shinsuke stared at her for a long time before the blue haired girl touched the brunette's forehead.
"Tenma, don't talk nonsense. This is Tsurugi we are talking about." Aoi said after she removed her hand. She did not seem to have a fever.
"Yeah! It's Tsurugi Kyousuke, Tenma! Is she feverish, Aoi?"
"No. She isn't."
"Girls, I'm telling the truth and I'm perfectly fine! Tsurugi is no longer a bully!" The two stared at her again but their disbelief expression was replaced with worry. Aoi spoke up,
"Tenma, maybe we could let you see a Guidance Councillor at least-"
"I'm telling you the truth! You girls aren't believing in me!" Tenma turned around and briskly stomped back to her classroom. She was mad, how could her friends not believe her!? What she said was true, totally true! Tsurugi seemed to really have changed. She could feel it. Why won't they trust her? Tenma continued down the hallway and was so into her thoughts that she did not hear five girls whispering to themselves as they hid behind a wall, shadowed.
"She's the one, Matsukaze Tenma, big sis!" A short haired girl informed a girl with long, light brown, almost passing for blond, curly hair, and with a pink ribbon headband. The latter was glaring at Tenma with anger stored in her emerald eyes. She seemed to be the leader of the group, judging by the way the short hair girl called her. The leader gripped the wall that her subordinates were sure could break off anytime soon.
"Grrr...curse that girl for stealing my Shindou-sama! I'll make her pay!" The girls around her kept quiet, knowing the next thing she was going to say were orders to get rid of that girl and teach her a lesson for getting close to Shindou Takuto, their idol. The leader grinned, "Lets corner her after school."
Tenma was walking down the hallway after school with her head down, sad about what she had said to her two best friends. She shouldn't have shouted. Who shouts at their friends when they were concerned about their well being? Especially Shinsuke who admires her. Would her image of Tenma still be strong after that outburst? Tenma decided she should apologize.
"Matsukaze Tenma." A voice called from behind. Hearing her name, Tenma turned her head around to find five girls standing in front of her. The four girls at the back and an eye-catching girl, the leader, with curly hair at the front. She had a haughty look on her face as she grinned at Tenma.
"Y-yes...?" Tenma stuttered, something about those five girls told Tenma that she was in big trouble. Very big trouble. The girl's face twisted in disgust, but switched back to her arrogant grin a second later. Tenma guessed this girl does not like her for some reason. That was why these girls were confronting her. Not that Tenma could figure out why. She had never met this girl before.
"Tch. Who do you think you are talking to Shindou-sama!?" S-Shindou-senpai? Were they his fangirls? Tenma did talk to the prince during her break. Were they jealous of her getting his attention? Wait, Shinsuke was there too! She even confessed to Shindou back at the hall. Tenma had to get to her immediately!
"C-calm down. Let's just talk ok?" Tenma was trying to ease the situation while side stepping away from the group to get pass them, but she was cut off by the leader grabbing her uniform.
"No buts girl! You have no right to speak to Shindou-sama!" Tenma shut her eyes, her grip was too tight that it hurt her skin too. Tenma tried to use her hands to remove the grip but to no avail.
"But I-"
"Stop talking!" She threw Tenma to one side, letting her back hit a locker.
"Ah!" Her back hurt, yet Tenma was sure those girl wouldn't let her go just yet. The curly haired leader of the girls bend forward in front of Tenma, and slowly raised her arm back, ready to slap her. Tenma closed her eyes, bracing for impact.
"You'll regret ever getting close to Shindou-sama!" The girl swung her hand down, when a voice shouted,
"Leave her alone!" The palm stopped in front of Tenma, inches away from her face. All of them turned to the voice. A girl stood there, wearing the second year blue ribbon on her Raimon uniform. Her soft and silky pink haired was tied by mint green hair ties to two low pig tails that reached her mid back. Her azure eyes shone under the sunlight, making it looked like the clear blue sea. She stood with her hands on her hips. Tenma's eyes widened. She was the most beautiful girl she had ever seen.
"Tsch. You're lucky, Matsukaze Tenma." The curly haired girl let go and glared at Tenma. She then turned to the newcomer and grinned, "Let's go girls." She flipped her hair and then walk away passed the pink haired girl with the girls following her behind. The pink haired girl ran up to Tenma,
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah...it hurts but I'm ok." Tenma slowly stood up with the help of the second year girl.
"Those girls...They bully any girl who gets is close to Shindou. Even me." The last part was spoken in a harsh and sad tone. The pink haired girl looked down as she said that.
"Eh? They target you too?" Tenma asked, oblivious to the change in the pink haired girl's tone.
"Yeah..." The girl looked back up with a half-hearted smile, trying to get rid of her sad thoughts,
"I don't get why they did this. I've never done anything to steal Shindou-senpai from them. We just met him when Shindou-senpai wanted to apologize to my friend for rejecting her. She's the one who confessed to him in the hall an- Ah!"
"What's wrong?" The pink haired senior jumped from my sudden exclamation. She blinked curiously,
"Shinsuke! My friend who confessed to Shindou-senpai in the hall! She was with me when he apologized to us later during the day!" Tenma explained, "Those girls, they might be targeting her too!"
"You should call her." Her senior replied, but Tenma had already whipped out her phone to dial Shinsuke's number. It rang for a couple of rings before the call was picked up,
"TENMAAAAA! I'M SO SORRYYYYYY!"
"Ah!" Tenma flinched, pulling her phone away from her ear to save her eardrums. She noticed her senior winced as well from the yell.
"I'm sorry for not trusting you! I don't deserve to be your friend! Tenma-san please forgive meeeeeee!" Shinsuke cried from the other line. Tenma smiled. It seemed Shinsuke was not mad at her. And it also seemed that the bullies were not targeting her, but Tenma had to make sure.
"Shinsuke! Where are you right now? Are you okay?"
"Eweh? I'm at home. W-what happened, Tenma-san?" Tenma shook her head, then remembered Shinsuke was not physically here with her,
"Nh hm. Everything's fine now. Some of Shindou-senpai's fans cornered me just now-" She heard Shinsuke taking a breath, about to say something, in which she quickly tried to placate her, "B-but I'm fine, don't worry. A senior saved me." Tenma briefly glanced at said senior, "I was worried they might target you too, so I called."
"Oh. T-Tenma-san, you are so kind!" Shinsuke sounded like she was tearing up. Tenma scratched the back of her head lightly in embarrassment,
"Heheh...It's nothing. That's what's friends do, right? And could you stop calling me with the suffix? I'm not used to that." The pink haired senior grinned at her side, causing Tenma to blush red,
"Tenma-sa-...Tenma. Nhm! We're friends! Heheh." Tenma could almost see Shinsuke's nod. Tenma was so glad she still valued their friendship. "About Tsurugi, I'm sorry for what happened today. I believe in you, Tenma! If you say he's changed, then he has!" Tenma blinked. Shinsuke believed her! She trusts that Tsurugi has changed from his bullying ways.
"Shinsuke...Thank you." Tenma said with teary eyes sincerely.
"No problem, Tenma."
"A-anyway, I have to go now. I'm glad you're alright, Shinsuke. Let's talk tomorrow okay?"
"Of course Tenma! See you tomorrow!" There was a short pause before the line clicked off.
"That's your friend Nishizono Shinsuke right? The one who confessed to Shindou this morning." The senior piped up once the call ended. Tenma nodded,
"I wonder why Senpai's fangirls didn't confront her." Tenma fingered while looking down at her phone, deep in thought. The pink haired tapped her chin in a thinking pose,
"Well I guess the reason why is because Shindou rejected her, so they have no need to target her as Shindou doesn't like her."
"Eh? But Shindou-senpai apologized to Shinsuke after that! That's why they targeted me because they saw me with Shindou-senpai! Shinsuke was there too!"
"Uhm...maybe she was too short that they couldn't see her but only you?" That made both of them burst into laughter. It was true, Shinsuke was very short for a middle schooler, "I see that you can stand well. I'll be going now." The girl picked up Tenma's school bag and handed it over to her.
"Thanks." Tenma took it and the girl dashed off, "Ne, what is your name!?" The girl stopped running and turned around to face Tenma,
"Kirino Ranmaru!"
"I'm Matsukaze Tenma! Thanks for saving me!" A smile graced Kirino's lips, and then she dashed off. Tenma watched her leave, even her name was beautiful. Tenma then turned around and walked in the direction of her home.A little note written by my past self :P, but with some slight edits by my current self cuz some explanations just don't make sense -cries-. My plan was for Tsurugi to save her. I'm trying to follow the typical Shoujo High School Romance cliché, and it's usually the love interest saving the main character from bullies. So Tsurugi would have been the best to interfer. Especially if I wanted to showcase that he's a better person than before. But I wanted Kirino to come in sooner because I love him and also, in my dream (I didn't really state properly before but this entire fic was created from my dream), Tenma somehow knew who Kirino is. So I decided she should appear in here. I did add a bit of a past between the leader of Sindou's fangirls and Kirino. And before you guys think too overboard. They were not friends in the past, they were not fighting each other for Shindou's love and the leader's not Shindou's fiancée. If there's anymore dramatic guesses, no. Thank you all for reading! If you liked this chapter, please leave a review. It would be much appreciated and would really give me the boost to churn out the next chapter :)

So like I went to watch Inazuma Eleven go galaxy just to catch Kusaka x Morimura moments (they are the cutest canon couple, fight me), and I just checked the last episode. Ten Made Todoke (GO OP1) played at the end, which like had me full on nostalgia and they even included episodes from GO and Chrono Stone and brought back Tenma's dribbles (which he is great at, practiced a lot back in the 1st episode I remember) and like OF COURSE I'LL GET FULL ON NOSTALGIA, U CANT DO THIS TO ME. Hence, I started to rewatch GO to relief this feeling, which made me really missed my childhood (more like teenage-hood whatever you call it) and how much my life has changed compared to like 8 years ago (gosh it's been so long). So I kinda want to relief this story-writing part back in my life. Without further ado, click on read more to start reading! :)
Disclaimer: I seriously, 100%, totally don't even own the charas, their backgrounds, their clothes, their whatever. My name is not Hino and I'm not even Japanese. There's a Shugo Chara part which I had taken for this story (if anyone does recognize it -cries-). Lots of genderbend characters. You've been warned.
Matsukaze Tenma, a girl with brown wavy hair styled in swirls like the wind, length that reaches down to her back, tan skin and sky blue eyes. Today was the first day in her new school as a first year. Wearing her uniform for the appropriate year, she left her house owned by her relative, Aki, and dashed down towards the gate of the school. She stood there eyeing the lightning sign at the top of the school building and smiled to herself with much determination.
Finally, her hard work paid off. She was able to get into the school of her choice, Raimon Junior High. She could not help but smiled wider. It was just then when she heard someone calling her.
"Tenma!" She turned her head to her side and saw her childhood best friend sprinting towards her, her left arm high in the air waving at her.
"Aoi!" Aoi, a short blue haired girl wearing the exact same uniform as Tenma. The bluenette stopped in front of her friend and gave a light pat on her shoulder,
"You made it to this school too, ne?" It was both their aim to study in Raimon.
"Nhn!" The brown haired girl nodded. The two girls walked into the school, heading to the signboard where they will know which class they would be in, before making their way to the hall where all students will be briefed about the start of their year in Raimon.
Tenma took a sit on her chair in the hall. She sighed, Aoi was not only not in the same class as her, the class bully back in her elementary school, Tsurugi Kyousuke, was in the same class as her! He was known for bullying students in the same class as him. Back in her elementary school, she was not in the same class that was why she was not targeted, but he still shook fear in the hearts of every student in the school. How did he get into Raimon, Tenma didn't know, but now that he was enrolled here and allocated to her class, Tenma could only fear of what was to come. Tenma shook her head. It'll work out somehow! Dont think about him anymore. Hm!
"Ah...! Tenma-san! I can't believe you are here!" An extremely short girl that could pass for a Pikachu, jumped on to a chair beside Tenma. She had bronze coloured hair with a blue headband to pull her short pig tails upwards, and leaving bangs on her forehead.
"Ano...do I know you?" Tenma asked curiously.
"I'm from the same class as you back in elementary school! Nishizono Shinsuke! I look up to you so much, Tenma-san!" Shinsuke said with a high pitch voice from how happy she was in meeting Tenma.
"Hehe...Nice to meet you, Shinsuke. You may drop the -san actually. I'm not used to people calling me with -san." Tenma whispered to keep the conversation to just the both of them. Her cheeks blushing from both the praise and the people looking at them after the sudden shouts from Shinsuke.
"Waaa...I get to call Tenma-san without a -san! I'm so lucky!" She dazed off to dreamland which Tenma giggled at the girl's cuteness. She was really looking forward to classes with her. Especially since her allocated seat was beside Tenma, and students in the same class sit in the same row.
"Students, listen up." A voice sounded from the speakers, drawing everyone's attention. An adult stood on the stage with a podium in front of him, he spoke through the microphone. "I'm your principal, Hirai. Thank you all for coming. Today's your first day of the year, I know all will be nervous, don't worry. The teachers and student councilors will help you if needed. I wish you all the best. I'll now let our student council president address you." Squeals were heard at the front of the hall. A boy, with a dark brown wavy hair reaching to his shoulders walked up on stage where Principal Hirai was. The squeals became louder and names could now be heard in between,
"Shindou-san~!" "Takuto-sama~!" "Shin-sama~!"
Weird names for a student council president, he seems to be ignoring those squeals. Tenma thought silently.
"Wa...! H-he's so handsome...!" Tenma could hear Shinsuke mumbling to herself. Well, Tenma had to say, he was attractive, and a student council president to boot. Almost like a representation of an Anime prince. Tenma could not help but be mesmerized by him too.
"I'm Shindou Takuto. Your student council president-"
"I-I'm Nishizono Shinsuke! You're very handsome, Shindou-senpai! Please let me be your girlfriend!" The shorty jumped up from her chair and stood tip-toeing on it to stand out from the crowd and to get Shindou's attention. Everyone in the audience stared at Shinsuke, wide eyed by her sudden exclamation. Even Tenma was speechless. Shindou, however, closed his eyes and said firmly,
"Sorry, but I'm not interested in dating right now."
"Oh...it's ok! Maybe next time!" Shinsuke answered back with a cheerful voice, as if the embarrassing situation didn't happened at all. She jumped back to a sitting position and sat there quietly, listening to Shindou continue.
"Shinsuke, why did you do that? You embarrassed yourself!" Tenma whispered to Shinsuke, drowning out Shindou's speech and focusing on her new friend.
"I learned it from you, Tenma! We should be straight forward with our feelings! You said that to a girl from your class who was having love troubles!"
"Shinsuke..." Tenma wondered if Shinsuke actually got the meaning of her words. She giggled, her new found friend was cute and funny.
"Students, look for your names and sit at your assigned seats." Their homeroom teacher, Otonashi Haruna, pointed at the screen where it showed the students sitting arrangement. Tenma, Shinsuke, and their classmates, entered the classroom in an orderly manner, took a glance at the screen and headed to their respective seats. Tenma looked for her name, she was assigned to the fourth table from the first row near the window which has a view of the soccer field outside. She was walking down the first row from the front of the classroom when she noticed a familiar navy blue hair, tied in a weird looking high pony tail, boy sitting in the seat beside her assigned seat. Tenma turned to double check the screen and saw 'Tsurugi Kyousuke' written in a box beside her name.
No, no...Anything but that! It was already a bad thing when Shinsuke's seat was at the front of the room, in the middle at that! She was too far! She turned her head back, seeing Tsurugi staring outside the window. Unlike the normal Raimon male uniform, he was wearing purple coloured pants and cape. A red shirt with slevees rolled up to his elbow and wristbands of the colour, red and white respectively. He gave off an intimidating aura like a gangster. Tenma gulped. It'll work out somehow! Tenma said to herself before walking forward and sat on her seat. She felt Tsurugi's eyes on her for a long time before the boy finally spoke,
"You're Matsukaze aren't you?" Tenma felt her heart thumping in nervousness as she turned her head and answered,
"Yes." Her voice seemed to sound alright. Tsurugi leaned back on his chair and crossed his arms, his eyes looked to the front of the class,
"Tsurugi Kyousuke." He introduced himself, even though Tenma already knew his name, "You're my partner for the rest of the year. Let's work hard together."
"R-right..." Tenma was stunned, where did his bullying personality go? He should have whispered into her ear to meet him after school to bash her up or steal her money, but none of that happened. He just introduced himself that was all. Was this a trick to get Tenma to let her guard down? That's not right. Tsurugi is usually straight forward in his bullying. What happened to him? She turned back to the board, drowning out Haruna's explanations about their exams. Somehow, Tenma was not afraid of Tsurugi.
"Shinsuke, I want you to meet my other friend, Aoi." Tenma said to Shinsuke as they walked down the hallway to another classroom which was Aoi's classroom. It was their break time and Tenma wanted her new found friend to meet her childhood friend.
"Wa...! I get to meet Tenma's friend! Is she the blue haired girl?" Tenma nodded, since Shinsuke already knows about Aoi, there was no need for much introductions.
"Are you Nishizono Shinsuke?" Someone else spoke. The two looked to their front to find the student council president, Shindou standing in front of them. The two widened their eyes in shock. The student council president, the handsome and popular student council president was standing in front them!
"S-Shindou-senpai!" They both exclaimed. Wow he's so prince like in person! Tenma and Shinsuke mentally commented in unison. Shindou gave a warm smile which increased his princely handsomeness. Tenma and Shinsuke could not help but blush.
"I'm here about back there in the hall." Tenma and Shinsuke snapped out of the trance Shindou unknowingly put them in.
"Oh it's ok, Shindou-senpai! I'm sorry for my sudden outburst because of how handsome you look!" Shinsuke replied by trying to reassure to Shindou, even though her weird reasoning, that he need not be guilty for the rejection. Shindou chuckled which made both the girls to blush even redder.
"No, It's really my fault. I don't want other girls to try and win my heart so I had to say that. Sorry if I was too offensive."
"Ah! I-it's ok! T-totally fine with it! Heh heh..." Shinsuke scratched the back of her head. It really was a pleasure to have the student council president apologize to her.
"I'm glad. Though I still feel guilty for my actions, you may call me whenever you want if you need help. Here's my number." The brown haired boy held out two slips of papers to the two girls who took them with sparkles in their eyes.
"Ne, Shindou-senpai. You must be very popular based on the squeals this morning." Tenma asked. Shindou looked bashful as he replied,
"I'm not trying to be boastful but yes, I was voted the most popular recently. Although I don't like having that title. My best friend is more like you two actually, a normal student. I feel bad that she has to go through all this popularity with me. She says she's never bothered by it."
"I see...I thought you would have a friend who is equally in popularity as you." Shindou shook his head,
"Nope." Shindou checked his watch, "Sorry, I have a meeting with the other councillors."
"Nhn! Thanks for the number! Bye Shindou-senpai!" The two first years waved at Shindou's retreating figure who also waved back.
"Bye." He turned around and walked off, leaving Tenma and Shinsuke to watch him leave with a dazed off look on their eyes. He even looked beautiful from behind...This story has been sitting in my drafts since 2013. Cuz it's a chapter fic plus my high school entrance exams, I could not put in too much effort into it. Majority of the fic was in drafts but the idea and uncompleted plans were roughly there. It really was the most planned fic I had and I was very proud it. The first few (including this) were already written. Just never evaluated. And how grateful I am for not uploading that time. My writings were so cringey. So now this fic finally got to see the light of day with hopefully less cringey sentences. Hopefully everyone (new or old IE fans) will love it.
A little note written by my past self. :P I know I could at least complete my other chapter stories, but I really like the idea of this and decided to type it out! It came in a dream. It's instead of their life involving around soccer, I'm writing about their lives in school. Everyone are in different clubs. It's sort of yaoi, the ukes are genderbend. Don't ask why they are girls. The dream made them girls so I followed my dream. If not, I'm going to get very messed up with the story. The girls look like the picture in zerochan which showed all the guys genderbend. The ukes look like that, well some of them look like the picture. Depends. (What was I even writing about -_-'')
Thanks everyone for reading this! I hope you all like it. Sorry if it's a little bit weird, please bear with me for this. I'm not used to writing school life stories. Please review~! (Again I have no shame -_-"")

i never talk about these things but i can’t remain silent.
i know tumblr doesn’t give a SHIT when things happen in countries outside the “most popular ones” (such as the usa & england). it’s true, don’t lie to me. y’all don’t give A FUCK. not every issue and problem in said countries gets the appropriate exposure but in general shit shows up on the news WORLD FREAKING  WIDE. you set up donations, you help out, your spread the word, you say “pray for x”……
southern europe is burning.
my country is burning.
people are dying - at home, on the road, trying to run away, in their cars.
yesterday my country had 300 active fires.
people are losing EVERYTHING they own.
i have a friend that is on a train right now passing through places that have been burnt to the ground and she says the smoke is so intense it’s getting inside the train and she can barely breathe.
and yet, even though several people (myself included) have been trying to bring awareness to what has been happening in southern europe… what we get from most of you, those not part of the countries suffering, is silence. we don’t ask for money, we don’t ask for shit other than a reblog to spread awareness… something you can delete in 24/48hrs if you wish.
i don’t know what to tell you. i’m angry. i’m frustrated. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screaming into the void. “a reblog does nothing” - you know that’s a damn lie, you know exposure always helps, you know people start paying attention when posts on social media become popular. my country in particular is a small one, we get ZERO exposure. y’all are only starting to figure out we even fucking exist bc of the shit we’ve been winning lately.
but hell, if the EU doesn’t give a shit, why should some user on tumblr dot com?
again, i don’t know what to tell you so i’ll let the images speak for themselves:

My thoughts on Lance’s character development
About the bp!lance theory, as much as I agree he’s starting to have a leadership role in the team, has more confidence in his abilities and deserves a more bigger role in voltron, I feel he doesn’t necessarily have to be the black paladin to do so. Here’s some reasons why.
(I would like to say that this is just my theory. I’m not here to bash the bp!lance theory and instead just giving my own thoughts.)
I feel the show is portraying lance to be like King Alfor, Allura’s father. Firstly, remember that time when blue shut lance out and won’t let him board her. And allura said these lines,
“When you accepted Keith as the new leader of Voltron, it proved that you value a strong team over your own need for glory, just like my father.”
Tumblr media
‘Just like my father’, like King Alfor. I know it could basically mean that this is something a leader would do, let his teammates show their skills, and maybe, I’m just thinking very simple here.
Now, secondly, he is starting to have the sibling relationship with Allura, which everyone should have realized by now, how they talked about lance passing blue to allura,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
how he got worried for her on Nexzela,
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
how allura felt better while talking to lance and them laughing in the training room.
Tumblr media
These are common in sibling relationships. I know matt and pidge don’t act that way even though they are siblings. They are more of the geeky and funny kind whereas lance and allura are something like the mature kind. The one you have between an older sister and a younger brother.
Sibling relationship is a familial relationship, which is also a part of the father-and-daughter relationship Alfor and allura had.
Tumblr media
We don’t see this happening with other characters in the show with allura.
Third, Lance is the pilot of the red lion, same as Alfor, nothing much to say there. Fourth is the one that really made me solidify my reasoning, the fact that Lance transformed his Bayard to an Altean broad sword. The one Alfor used to have.
Tumblr media
The moment that happened, we know he’s getting the character development he needed. And like allura said, ‘you have greatness within’. I know that this could mean he has a potential to be a black paladin. Usually that sentence means lance will have a bigger role (black paladin) in the future. I read this differently. I feel this means he will have a potentially bigger role in the future, just more like he will show more of the inner right-hand man that he has deep within. Lance just couldn't show it cuz of Kuron right now. I’m not dismissing that Lance has leadership skills, heck Alfor was the King of Altea. He has all the leadership skills you need. Just it might not be what is needed as a leader for Voltron. Similar to how Alfor, even though he’s a king, wasn’t voltron’s black paladin.
Another reason why I feel Lance would not be bp it is that, comparing between a leader and his right-hand man, the leader is usually the one who gives orders, decides on a plan for a mission, leads the team to a goal. Right-hand man is someone who the leader trusts the most, that grounds the team and leader together. They make sure the team’s well-being are alright. Sort of like the heart of the team. Lance has done that so many times in season 3 when Keith was the leader. He told Keith that allura was lacking behind while they were chasing lotor and they needed to fall back to get her.
Tumblr media
He got Keith to stop thinking about letting the team down and instead getting them back together.
Tumblr media
He also encouraged Allura that she has the capabilities to get them out of Nexzela.
Tumblr media
These are like the mentally-grounding-the-team kind of leadership that a right-hand man would have.
Alfor was the one who got everyone together to assemble Voltron, not zarkon the leader. Lance sort of did that too. He knew hunk and pidge as they are teammates. He ran after Keith, bringing hunk and pidge with him. He stopped Keith from saving shiro because he wanted to save shiro too, ending with all 5 of them being the new paladins. So yeah Lance “brought” Voltron together, something that a ‘heart’ of Voltron would do. I know Allura is also the heart as what lance had said in season 4. I’m just noting that Lance is like the Voltron 5 lions and 1 robot kind of heart, rather than a team Voltron with the castle and the coalition type of heart.
Besides, stepping aside from lance, I feel keith was really getting the hang of being leader (black paladin) of Voltron. As what I have noted the definition of a leader, is the one who commands and decides on a plan, who decides the best plan of action to do in the situation. Keith was the best pilot of his year in the garrison. Not only do I think he’s great at piloting Voltron, he also have the ability to decide the best course of action when in desire situations. In season 3 when shiro and Keith were in conflict over their separate leadership methods and one mission pops up where lotor was taking a ship and Voltron has to stop him.
Tumblr media
There was an intense situation where Keith had to either bring out hunk’s blaster and shoot the ship and deal with damage the cannon lotor was gonna fire behind them or continue attacking lotor and deal with the ship later which they might not have enough time for. What Keith did was he brought out the blaster to make it look like he’s planning to shoot the ship and then dodge the cannon, letting it hit the ship. Preventing Voltron from getting a massive hit and getting rid of the ship. Like he basically killed two birds with one stone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That move made me feel Keith was ready to lead Voltron. He had the capabilities to do so. He just kept thinking shiro is the actual leader that’s why he doesn’t take it. I would like to give some credit to shiro for choosing Keith to be the new leader. I’m not saying lance cannot be, I’m just saying shiro prbly saw something in Keith that could potentially lead Voltron to greater heights.
Back to Lance, in my understanding, Lance has a lot of insecurities and him being the black paladin might not be the best way for him to rid of these insecurities, he might continue to doubt himself. What I feel Lance needs is someone with a high title, like Keith or shiro, the black paladin, to tell him that he is needed because they trust him as their right-hand man. I think this is more powerful in getting lance to realize he is needed in the team because he finally has a role in the team. Not a goofball, not a self-labelled sharpshooter, but the right-hand man of Voltron. Besides, we have lance alr saying goodbye to blue, but not Keith with red. I don’t think vld will have lance switching to another lion and having to say good bye to a lion again. I think when Keith finally accepts himself as the leader of Voltron, we will finally have the scene where he says goodbye to red.
In conclusion, lance does have leadership qualities that are beginning to merge, just not the bp type of leadership, it’s the right-hand man type of leadership. Keith has the skills to lead Voltron and be the black paladin, he just lacks the drive becuz he thinks shiro is the most suitable black paladin.
Yeah, so this is my theory on Lance’s and partially Keith’s development and potential black paladin in vld. This is long lol! Glad u made it to the end!
