HW2 SPOILERS BELOW
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ingame its specifically said that djmm's reaction is to disappointment and not anger and while there isn't much of a difference considering, yknow, disappoint him enough and he eventually kills you, but i think it's funny bc for most animatronics they'll just outright say "don't piss them off" but for him they go "don't disappoint djmm."
you don't listen to him and you bring to him this ass beat and he just sighs and pinches his nosebridge like "dammit.... now i gotta KILL your ass......."

Can you tell I'm not normal about the rugal lip fold thing
When I first drew him with clown pips it felt like they were very 3d and not makeup and with that in mind I took some inspiration from both carnival lechón and Knixven's exaggerated lips on their mammalian characters and I'm in love
It adds a little bit more inhuman-ness to an already uncanny human face, having the corners of the lip sag and fold out to show the pink underside like bulldog and it adds so much to expressions!!! AND i still get to exaggerate the lips without giving him donut lips i WIN

Help Wanted 2 - DCA Minigames Swap Idea
So. Both Sun and Moon have their own minigames in hw2. I started thinking to myself "how would it play out if you swapped them?", because why not? Ideas under read more.
I want "Arts and Crafts" with Moon. That's it. That's the reason I wrote this.
Carousel Game
Sun is sent to watch over the player as they fix the carousel. In game, it is stated that poor Sun doesn't know how to fix it himself, so this would be a simulation where the AI learns by watching you do it first.
Sun sits on one of the rideable carts, his personality matching the one from his actual minigame. He throws quips and begs you to hurry up, and sometimes (accidentally) misleads you by giving poor advice (because again: he has no idea how to fix it, but he's programmed to teach others, so he is incapable of shutting up and letting you work by yourself). The carousel still has three phases, but fixing it is much harder and more complex than in the original, since Moon wouldn't be a constant threat.
Problem: if you fail/make a mistake at any point, the carousel has a chance of powering down which makes the lights grow dim, bringing Moon out. The chance grows higher with each phase/level. You must reset the power to continue your work, and use your flashlight (which has limited battery) to keep Moon at bay as you do so. On each phase Sun gets closer and closer to you on the carousel, meaning if you fail later on, Moon will literally spawn closer and closer to you.
On the last phase, the power for some reason goes crazy and the lights die. You must keep Moon at bay while fixing it, and you have a time limit to do so as well.
The game ends with the lights coming back on, Sun being embarrassed and thanking you for helping out, and off you go.
On the harder night, you could start the game having to fix the generator from the get go, or the power randomly going down, or making it so that the flashlight has a battery limit and needs recharging.
There could be a way for Sun to kill you too, if you take too long. Just for spice.
Arts and Crafts game
Obviously Moon is for nap time, not making crafts. Instead of paper pals and colour by numbers, you are tasked with playing activities designed for children who can't sleep during nap time - quiet things that wouldn't disturb the other sleeping children. You do these on a small baby tablet, in an area separate from the sleeping children (who are toys in this simulation), a tent with some light like the one ruined Sun sits under in the original minigame.
In this minigame you catch glimpses of a Moon that is not fully corrupted yet. In his normal mode he's calmer and speaks in a creepy, yet soothing way. However, "mistakes" trigger his glitched mode, making him revert to Security Breach Moon. This minigame would have both a sound check and a "mistake" check like in the original one. If you make too much noise while working, or fail your task, Moon becomes aggressive - you have three tries, where Moon progressively takes/covers the lights in your tent (by the third time you are basically playing in the dark, only with the small light coming from your baby tablet), and by the fourth he gets pissed off and "puts you to sleep".
The noise system would work in two ways: first, your tablet will glitch out sometimes. You must treat it like an old TV and beat it up a bit to get it to work again, causing noise. Do it too much, Moon gets upset. Moon is also walking around checking on "the children", so it's advised you fix your tablet when he's further away from you, to diminish the chances of him hearing it; second, sometimes your tablet will get the purple glitch and automatically turn on the audio. When you notice this, you must drop what you're doing and turn the volume down again, otherwise every time you do something a loud noise will ring out, pissing off Moon.
The minigames would be a mix of reading and ""drawing"". First you read a small randomly generated story and must answer a quiz about it (like the colour of a character's dress, or if they're a knight, etc). Second game is a "dress up doll" one. You know picrew? Something like that with pre made bodies, clothes, hair and accessories you can combine into a character. Moon sees you are not sleepy yet, and tells you to put together a character with specific characteristics for him. After you're done, you show him the result. If it doesn't match, that's a strike. If it does, you continue into the next phase.
The last minigame is a mix of both. You need to read a story and use the dressing game to make two of the characters in there (or maybe only one and the number grows higher with each level). However, by this point the glitches are more frequent, and Moon is more attentive because every other "child" is asleep, his attention mostly turned towards you.
There could be an added bonus of difficulty in later games with a power system: you have limited power on your tablet, and once the power goes out your tablet does a loud turning off noise, triggering Moon's glitch instantaneously.
And that's it. Apologies for Moon's section being longer, but since Sun doesn't kill you, we don't need as many details besides hypothetical voice lines (instead of the one about indigestion in hw2, here he could have one about electrocution for instance).
This is clearly not me crying and moaning over Moon only getting two new voicelines either ahahah what makes you think so?

I have. So many thoughts about Sun in help wanted 2. Not bad ones at all, just a lot thoughts. (Spoilers ahead for HW2 and a little from Ruin) also this is a long one, so buckle up
Aight, so I have not watched a lot of gameplay of the Arts and Crafts minigame, bc I would have simply been way too excited to even stand still and not get overwhelmed by pure joy. BUT I have listened to his voice lines in the game (via YouTube)
After listening to all of them, I got three main thoughts (and a bonus thought about Moon)
One, holy smokes he is a freaking savage (and even more of one once I discovered that apparently his line “It speaks to me!” Was actually NOT him complimenting you genuinely and he actually immediately shreds your work in front of you after saying that, and I’m dying of laughter here FHSGGFGDJDJG)
Two, I’m like, actually kinda happy that there’s this side to Sun? Like, it gives more nuance to his personality overall. And I think has been a part of him from the start, back in the main security breach game? We just haven’t been shown it much. Maybe not much of his sassiness, but I’m also thinking about his temper. Like, sun was really pissed at Gregory at the end of the daycare mission, to the point that he bans the poor kid. And there’s also that one cut voice line of his that goes “I’M PUTTING YOU IN TIME OUT!” And it’s in a really angry voice, unlike moon surprisingly, despite both of them sharing this one line. And then there’s also that one fazwatch about how moon practically traumatized kids enough that they’re scared to sleep with the lights off, but when the lights turn on, the kid straight up wets themself. Which implies that not only has Moon terrified kids, but so has Sun as well. And if we’re really supposed to be a kid in the arts and crafts minigame, then i think we found the context for that part of the message. I feel bad for that kid.
I’ve kinda kept in mind for a while that Sun is not always so patient and uh, kind. And I kinda like that since then it’s easier to write him In certain different situations. And this revelation from HW2 honestly validates the way I’ve written him in my own AU, and oh boy is this gonna fun!(no sarcasm) (I not gonna elaborate on that point bc it’s not the focus of this post, tho im happy to talk about my AU if anyone wants to know more)
Three: I genuinely wonder if we’re specifically playing as a kid, an adult (maybe a staff member) or, as I’ve heard from other people’s theories, we might be playing as a possessed staff bot?? I feel like the first idea might be likely since there’s a voice line from sun in the minigame, where he says that we (the player) are gonna be in timeout until our parents come to pick us up. However, I’ve only seen the beginning of the minigame, and only know the rest through listening to voice lines. So I don’t have much context for the voice line and I could very well be wrong.
Bonus thought: I’ve heard that Moon appears a lot in other mini games compared to other characters, including Sun. But despite that I really can’t get a good read on his personality besides either him being a silly yet unnerving boogie man (SB and HW2) , and literally in aggressive pain(Ruin) and probably a softie but we really haven’t seen him act that way, only just read/seen it second hand, like his moondrop posters and one description from Cassie in Ruin. Again it could be bc I haven’t seen much of the new game and only heard voice lines from one of his mini games, but I’m really not sure.
Aight that sums it all up. This game is really good.

SBAU TIMELINE
this is subject to updates as i plan more out, but here's the main events that happen in each section of the au in a bit more detail <3
PLANNING
this is mike and vanessa working on making the glamrocks together.
OPENING
the pizzaplex opens!! mike and vanessa split shifts, with mike as a mechanic at night and vanessa as a security guard during the day. they talk less than before.
BONNIEBREAK: bonnie's mysterious disappearance, almost as if he's been wiped from existence were it not for the 4th floor of the pizzaplex and the concept drawings in mike's sketchbook.
FRIENDFALLOUT: it's revealed to vanessa that mike was the one who's been letting her therapists know about her conversations. they confront mike about it, who reveals that they have copies of her therapy sessions. mike warns her to read the fine print. vanessa storms off and they cut contact for the forseeable future.
GREGORY
gregory finds himself in the pizzaplex after closing. he'd much rather spend his time hanging out with freddy or something, but for some reason, mike refuses to let him out of his sight. therefore, he's stuck walking.
(this is regular security breach gameplay, kind of. mike has access to everything so there's never a need for them to pass through the daycare, for example (i think. i would also like a coherent map of the pizzaplex so i can map their routes but yk how it is (insane))
PRINCESSQUEST-1: after gregory completes princess quest 1, michael learns that vanessa has lost their soul to glitchtrap. as he turns around, he finds vanny right behind him, and he confronts her about it (um. not well. angrily.). vanny, suffering from mad visual and auditory glitchtrap-induced hallucinations and reality warping snaps and stabs mike. gregory tries to rush in and help but freddy stops him, and they watch as mike rips the knife from himself and slashes back at vanny. vanny, shocked and suddenly More Aware, stumbles back. mike slashes again, vanny dodges, and runs out. by the time mike gets to the door, she's gone. the knowledge that william is back and (to his knowledge) controlling his friend coworker, AND that he just failed to kill him sends him into a fit of rage that scares gregory shitless. freddy forcefully asks mike to calm the fuck down, to which he responds Disturbingly Quickly, and they're off again.
PRINCESSQUEST-2: gregory points out that the avatar they're playing as has changed, which catches mike's attention. lo and behold, it's fucking cassidy. cassidy, with a sword now. this changes things.
PRINCESSQUEST-3: they make their way to pq3, beat it, and free vanessa. hooray. Except. vanessa's removed the mask and thrown it aside. freddy goes to comfort her (hesitatingly, she did try to kill gregory earlier) while mike grabs the mask. he puts it on and suddenly, it makes sense how vanessa was disappearing so quickly; there's transparent walls and floors everywhere. and, notably, a way to descend to a very familiar pizzeria. mike goes there without another word and vanessa, pissed the fuck off at this behavior, goes after him. she and freddy and gregory have to take an alternate route down however, because mike's got the Fuck Reality powers now. in the pizzeria, mike finds one final pq game.
END
CASSIDYRECONCILIATION: mike finds the final princess quest game at the bottom. he plays it and gets cassidy to the same plane of existence, where she gives him the sword. she's ready to move on, she wants to see her parents again. but william can't be left unattended, and whatever's left of him still needs to be collected. enter michael. hw2 pq gameplay ensues, but instead of the sister location elevator taking mike and william to a claw machine, it takes them straight to hell lmao god bless 🙏🙏🙏
HELPWANTEDHELL: michael oversees william's torture from now on, but not without cost. he gave up any chance to see elizabeth or evan again, the only thing he'd been working for for decades.
