life update below the cut (tl;dr, i will be back in about a month, but this is an explanation for my absence)! 

so the thing is, i’m really, really, enjoying my life right now! after three years at uni i finally feel like i fit in somewhere, and after six months of being ill, i’ve started to make a habit of venturing out and about for the sake of it as well as for class. as much as i love everything that tumblr has given me, the online world isn’t my only social network anymore and if i’m being totally honest, i am so relieved to have my life back. i’m making more friends, i’m jumping back into the dating scene, and i’m heading on a european adventure in a week with @myyrddin! my only conundrum is that between all of this and university commitments, i just can’t afford to put aside as much time as i used to for magnus; especially since i’m still abysmal at time management.

i’m stressed as hell and it’s been a huge struggle to get back into the swing of work, but i’m so much happier than i’ve been in years and i hope that you can all understand that taking a temporary step away was probably the best thing i could have possibly done for myself! i will be back, i promise, but it will likely only be in late april, after i return from my trip - and even then, magnus (and mithian) will be on low activity so that i don’t fall back into old habits. if you need me between now and then, please feel free to shoot me a message here or on discord!

psa :     harry  is  an  amazing  magnus  and  has  done  so  well  with  the  content  he's  been  given  for  the  television  series ,     but  unfortunately  he  doesn’t  entirely  fit  the  vision  that  i  have  for  my  own  interpretation  of  magnus  anymore ,     particularly  seeing  as  i’m  extremely  divergent  from  season  3  onwards  and  would  also  like  to  start  integrating  even  more  book - based  events  into  my  timeline  and  writing .     therefore ,     from  this  point  onwards ,     i’ll  be  using  mostly  aesthetic - based  icons  of  darin  blaine  wilkens     (  while  potentially  continuing  to  use  season  one  icons  of  harry  ) ,     mostly  because  my  personal  preference  leans  towards  using  icons  during  interactions .     

          as  i’ve  said  before ,     i  know  that  darin  is  still  not  the  correct  ethnicity  for  magnus  but  i  remain  appreciative  of  his  mixed  heritage  and  believe  that  he  has  very  similarly  ethnically  ambiguous  features  to  plenty  of  mixed  south - east  asians  /  europeaners     (  like  me  !!  ) .     i’m  always  going  to  be  on  the  lookout  for  mixed  indonesian  /  malaysian  actors  that  would  be  a  more  appropriate  fit ,     racially  wise ,     but  for  now ,     this  is  my  best  option .     please  continue  to  keep  in  mind  that  proper  representation  is  important ,     my  loves  !!

i  actually  really  enjoyed  this  episode  but  it  almost  feels  as  if  the  entirety  of  3b  was  literally  just  setting  everything  up  to  finally  intersect  with  the  city  of  glass  plot  again . . .     which  is  probably  why  i  found  the  rest  of  the  season  so  boring .

#also the fact that i hated magnus' entire storyline but whatever DLJNF #but of course i love love loved this episode because FINALLY! he's taken control of his own storyline and has some major agency again #and i actually did enjoy all the other scenes too i'm ngl #which is the first time that's happened since season two lol! #sh spoilers #ʜᴇʏ! ʟɪsᴛᴇɴ! ☆ ⏤〘 zelda speaks. 〙
