Yennefer could feel the wound in her side, but she wasn't done here. Whomever was behind the initial attack was still around here somewhere...hiding. She could feel that they were near, but there wasn't a lot that she could do as she centered herself, other than some sort of spell. A spell took energy, however, and with how much she had already expended in this initial fight, she wasn't sure if she had it in her for a badass moment of power.
Glancing at the other, she reached for the dagger in the body of one of the people she had slain, wincing as she did so, but choosing to ignore it. "Keep your wits about you...they're close..."

Hope took a deep breath and then ended up shrugging her shoulders rather nonchalantly, which was interesting considering she was dumping a body when the other found her. She probably should have cared a little more that she had been found out, but she hadn't even made the kill.
"Look, can we just skip right past the gasps and the accusations? Either help me dig the grave, or keep on walking..."

open to: m/f/nb suggested connection: any Stranger Things character or character with a Stranger Things verse; Ally was in maybe two scenes in the show and only mentioned by Nancy, but I changed her FC and here she is, the girl that always covers for Nancy used: beta editor

Honestly, things had changed since the so-called 'Mind Flayer' had showed itself and all of those people died. The Mall was gone, and now she wasn't in the dark anymore. Now, Nancy's disappearances made more sense and it wasn't just about boys. Sometimes, Ally wondered if she should still cover for her now that she knew that things were more serious, but how did you deny your 'ride or die'?
"You know all that crazy shit going on around here? I'm starting to think we're in the middle of some horror movie or something now..."

Sutton smiled a little as she steamed the shirt she was working on. "Look, all I meant was I like sewing. I'm not saying we can't go out and buy something cute for a night out, but if you give me a timetable, I can also make us something stunning enough that we could really just make the night of it. Plus, isn't planning part of the fun of it all?"
She knew that coming from her, that was a little weird, but she was more than just spontaneity. She was filled with good ideas and fun party plans too, and she just wanted to get out of the house and have some fun. What was so wrong with that?
"So what do you say? Wanna schedule an epic night out in a few weeks and then just go out to a bar tonight?"

Steve had been acclimating in the world since he had woken up in it, and honestly? Sometimes he thoroughly enjoyed getting to go out and hang out with friends. It wasn't often because he thought of himself as a homebody, but he had to admit that he kind of was, and he had just as much fun out here in the world.
"Last time I was out, I actually found this really nice hole-in-the-wall ice cream place. If you're interested, we should go. It's not often I can get an ice cream treat without kids talking over each other about what kind of cone they want." Steve offered, laughing a little. "Wife won't let me back for an hour anyway--I'm bad at extending my hangouts these days and she's worried about me."

Sutton nodded as the other one spoke, feeling what they were saying deep in her core. She actually had quite a few stories about exes, but she had a feeling that they didn't want to hear one just yet: they were just trying to vent.
"Hey man...things with the ex can be pretty rough. I'll grab some wine and you can tell me all about it. Then maybe we can burn some of their stuff or something..."

"You know what the craziest thing I've ever been asked is?" Kassidy began, smiling a little as she reached for the pie between them. Her fork went in and she took a bite before she continued. "If I've ever written a murder that I wanted to carry out on one of my enemies."
Being a horror writer, she understood the question, but man. She had been asked it on the spot during an interview and she was not at all happy about it if she was honest. Kassidy didn't like to be put on the spot, and especially not with a question like that.
"For legal reasons, of course, I had to say 'no'..."

Cindy finished pinning up the flier for the play on the bulletin board and then took a moment to look it over. Perhaps it wasn't the most exciting play in the world, but she was so proud of her part in it, that she couldn't help but strike up conversation with the other when they stood next to her.
"I promise it's more exciting than you might think. There's a twist and everything, and if you like ghosts and twists, then look no further than Blythe Spirit. I'm playing Ruth," she offered, as if the other would even know what she was talking about.
