“Pretty sure we messed up the recipe….” Trisha winced at the sight of the oddly shaped brownies sitting in the pan right before her. “It’s too gooey, did we add enough flour?” She questioned, turning her head over to you.

“Well it was your job to stir the batter! Maybe we left the the butter out a little too long?” You stared at the pan, lifting a brownie slightly, as the bottom of it sticked to the pan. “This is a disaster! Do you think we have time to make another batch?”

Trisha grabs the mix from the counter and examines what’s inside the box “Nope, we might have to go to the store.”

“But we don’t have time for that!! Hobie’s coming home soon!” You frowned, staring at the oddly shaped brownies on the pan. Trisha noticed your frustration and sighed in defeat “Well maybe it’s the thought that counts? It doesn’t have to be perfect, if he knows you made it with love then maybe it’ll be all worth it in the end”

“I guess…gooey brownies can’t be that bad right..?” You questioned, skeptical whether or not the brownies were worth eating

“We can always taste test it, plus I’m hungry from all this work!” Trisha beamed with excitement. “You’re always hungry!” You smiled “Im surprised you still have all this energy”

“Yeah yeah, let’s hurry up before he gets home” Trisha nagged, She grabbed a brownie and broke it in half, handing one of the sides to you. Before you could even look at her, she already consumed it.

“Well the brownies aren’t that gooey, so they still taste pretty good!” She cheered, she extended her hand to grab another one but you smacked her hand away “These aren’t yours to eat Trisha!” You groaned

“ok ok, you didn’t have to smack my hand that hard!”

“I didn’t even hit you that hard!”

“Yes you did!”

“No!”

“Ye-“

The door creaked open as heavy footsteps entered, you both looked at each other in panic

“Go get the brownies on a plate, I’ll distract him for a bit!” You instructed as you approached the hall from where he stood

“Hey hobes! How was band practice?” You smiled, giving him a quick peck on the cheek

“It was really good, how’ve you been?” He questioned, returning the peck of your cheek

“I’ve been pretty good, I made you something for valentines!” You beamed proudly as you lead him to the kitchen, one the counter were a plate full of brownies “Tada!” You cheered

“Aw, ya know you didn’t have to make me anything” he chuckled, amused at your excitement

“Well I wanted to, since you do a lot of things for me” you replied “Happy Valentine’s Day hobie!”

For the rest of the day, you both spent time together, from a date, a theme park and so on!

i've never actually read any of her books, all i've seen were people's reviews and the discussion around the way she deals with certain themes in her stories, and from the little i've read when i see snippets around it very much looks like what a teenager on wattpad would write

with all due respect to the teenagers on wattpad because they still have a lot to learn about writing and about life but that is a grown ass woman like c'mon, and she has a huge fanbase!!! how

opinion on Ariana Grande’s, “Positions” album. 💿

I’ve been in the fandom (do ppl still call themselves ‘Arianators’ or has everyone moved on to just saying ‘stan’??) since the end of 2014/early 2015. I’ve been present for every era excluding “Yours Truly”.

• this is my first listen. I’m super happy (and relieved, maybe) that Ari dabbled more in R&B. Her voice is too soulful to only sing pop songs. Patti LaBelle absolutely adores Ari, and even called her a “black white woman” (I know this statement is controversial— rightfully so, but I think it was because of Ari’s vocals and soulful voice). A lot of black people have been wanting Ari to make an R&B album for YEARS (Trust me, I saw the comments on social media). Some of the songs that I liked based off of my first listen: 34+35, motive (a little), just like magic, off the table, safety net, positions, and POV... so half of the album isn’t bad, right? 😅

• tbh, I felt that the album was underwhelming. I know that the R&B genre has shifted from the 00’s, but I think i was expecting something as unforgettable as early 00’s R&B (I say ‘unforgettable’ because songs from Jagged Edge, Kiki Wyatt, Destiny’s Child, Usher, etc. Still have replay ability. They’re timeless, and they’re songs that will be introduced to our children). With this album, I’m not sure how to feel. I’m not sure if it’s the writers, or what. I know her friends Tayla Parx & Victoria Mónet (who i absolutely adore), helped write some of the songs on this album, but idk 😕😕. Victoria can sing and write her a** off for sure. Even with that, I would’ve expected a song that was kind of like “Moment”, or “Ass Like That” on Ari’s album. All and all, I’ll give it another spin soon. It does give off a very “chill”, and “low key” vibe, so maybe I’ll light an incense or candle, and listen to it on my wash day.

I’m still going to continue to listen to it. I adore Ari, and I will always support her 💕💕. Maybe my opinion of this album will change with time? As it still stands, “TUN” is still my favorite album of hers to date.
