Seeker
— Concept: In which an Alchemist stumbles upon an odd seelie... it seems to be traveling.. oh, it's a she?
Dragonspine's always been a place that's least visited for a number of reasons. Albedo, however, has probably spent most of his time in the snowy caps.
Not only does he favor the serenity in his camp but the white landscape entails the need to just settle and be at ease. He also happens to be fond of its unchanging state.
Nothing but the usual falling snow and the whistles of the wind.
The moment he comes across an... anomaly, however, he realizes that this particular night is going to be different from what he's used to.
“[Name]?” he blinks twice, checking what's been written on the snow, "I see. Your name, I presume?"
The [c] seelie jingles with an oddly cute sound, rising from the snowbed after using its supposedly permeable form to write against the whites.
Truly a fascinating find.
He's in the middle of returning back to Mondstadt after completing his objectives for the day when the [c] form flew into his camp.
Now, he's seen a handful of seelies in his journeys but never has he come upon one that's beyond the average goal to guide those who finds it.
Truthfully, his first course of action is to wait for it—ah, he means her, as he found out after previously referring to her bluntly as a creature—to guide him to its court. Because isn't that what seelies do?
So imagine his surprise when the [c] seelie simply flew around him jingling like bells in a way he can only discern is her method of greeting him.
It turns out that although he is somewhat correct, that [Name]'s goal is to search, it isn't something.
“You're searching for someone?”
The [c] seelie gives a nod, her ethereal form pulsing with an even brighter glow as if it's her way of affirmation.
Albedo hums, fingers itching to grab his pencil, “And you wish to stay with me for a while so you can scout the entirety of Mondstadt?”
Another bell-like sound resounds.
Well, there's no harm in having one as a companion, the alchemist hums to himself. A nuanced change in a life of stasis.
Besides, the seelie seems to have a sense of identity that can't be found in the ones he's encountered. Almost like he's with a person and not a spirit-esque creature. He wonders if he'll find answers.
“Alright then,” he nods, “A pleasure to be your acquaintance. Shall we get going, then?”
Albedo can't help but smile as his new companion sways to his side, the soft [c] glow acting like a lantern in the dark environment.
Maybe I can add another illustration, he muses.
But that is a time for later, for now, it is a pair's goal to venture down to the foot of the mountain and into the humble city of Mondstadt.
a/n: i've had this small idea for so lonG - also, i know that seelies are technically genderless, but mc here is a special kind who (as observed by albedo) has a sense of identity, which implies that there's probably more to [name] than what meets the eye ;)
