WARNING THE FOLLOWING IS MY PERSONAL OPINION AND NOT ALL OF IT IS POSITIVE SO IF YOU DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT DON’T LOOK. also SPOILER ALERT: this episode is dumb!! the dark year wasn’t a shocker, literally everyone knew since episode one. it wasn’t crazy and triggering or whatever jroth called it on twitter. it was boring and predictable and this is the first episode i didn’t really care about. bellamy is still an asshole, i don’t like how monty and him just made up and are friends now, the zaven thing is so incredibly forced ( even though like they’re cute together, like rly???? ) and idk im still so annoyed they hyped the dark year so much, lol. echo’s a badass, murphy is a little shit who i love, madi is a savage and i still love octavia man idk.

reason behind canon divergent.

                  i want to first start off saying that i have no hate towards echo or tasya at ALL and this ISN’T because   oh i wanted bellarke   or  oh i wanted braven.  this is simply because in my opinion, be.cho being a thing is extremely out of character for bellamy. i’m not surprised that bellamy forgave echo, and three years is longer than i was thinking he’d take to forgive her to be completely honest. i could see them becoming close, becoming friends but there are just too many reasons why be.cho rubs me the wrong way. first is quiet obviously the fact that echo took part in killing gina and yes, she apologized but bellamy  LEGIT SAID  i wish it was that easy  being it’s not to him. second is the multiple times echo tried to kill his sister. stabbing her was one, and nearly putting an arrow through her throat is another. see, for me, i just cannot see bellamy getting over that---forgiving is one thing but to date that person who did all those horrible things to the people he cared about MOST IN THE ENTIRE WORLD it’s just, i can’t see it. and honestly, i wouldn’t have minded if bellamy and echo fucked, i get it, there aren’t many people on the ship, y’all have needs thats cool---but to have them be more than just fuck buddies, i can’t wrap my brain around it. i think what REALLY just did it for me was when she brought up almost killing octavia and he laughed it off, making a sarcastic comment. IF IT WAS ANYTHING ELSE it would have been fine, but for him to laugh / brush off his sister ALMOST DYING it just was jaw-droppingly horrific in my opinion.

                 also, the comments mentioning  don’t worry they won’t be together long---is sad because to me, it doesn’t matter if they won’t be together long, it matters that he would even be with her IN THE FIRST PLACE. the damage is already done. the casual brush off of his sisters death is already done. i think the writers and jason wanted to piss people off so that they could be #1 trending on twitter because of the outrage ( and support obviously but lets be real a LOT of the posts are about be.cho ) so they could have a lot of  “buzz”  for the premiere. all in all, those are my reasons as to why my bellamy will be canon divergent. i am still not going to write be.cho romantically but that being said i’m not going to bash people who do. you’re allow to do what you want even if i don’t agree with it. i’m definitely open to discuss this on either sides and again this has NOTHING TO DO WITH BELLARKE OR BRAVEN, this simply has to do with BELLAMY’S CHARACTER. i never ever thought i’d be saying it but, that’s not my bellamy and it’s saddening.                 i am still open to bellamy & echo being friends, being close friends even and i’d get it if he called her family if it wasn’t so blatantly insulting to octavia in that specific context they showed in the episode.
