a/n: realizing halloween is coming up, i’ve decided to FINALLY finish the au i did last halloween. for those who kept up with it: i’m sorry for discontinuing it. there was hardly any interaction with it so i just lost interest and motivation. and the lack of interaction is why i decided to just put all the choices in this part so you can see all the endings and whatnot. i’m sorry it took so long to wrap things up and there will probably be mistakes so i’m sorry about that, but i hope you all still enjoy it. ALSO LMK WHICH PATH/ENDING YOU GET FIRST TIME AROUND!!!

“It’s probably best to go back to the breach, right?” you decided. “We know it’s there so it’s the best way to get back.”
“_____ has a point,” Wonwoo shrugged.
“Alright, everyone head back to the hole -- and don’t get split up,” Seungcheol stated before deciding to take the lead.
“Okay, but if I see one of those glorified Chuck E. Cheese mascots coming toward us, I’m leaving all of you behind,” Seungkwan muttered as he followed with the group.
All of you were glancing around trying to keep an eye out for the animatronics, while also trying to quickly and quietly make your way back to the way you’d gotten into the park. You kept mentally kicking yourself for convincing your friends to come here. If it wasn’t for you, you wouldn’t be in this mess in the first place. You were just lucky everyone was still here...
The gates were starting to come into view, and you felt relief begin to course through you. Your legs were starting to move faster on their own, just wanting to get out of this living nightmare.
Seungcheol shooting his arms out to stop the group was what had you skid to a stop. He whispered loudly for everyone to get down behind the nearby shrubs and two trash bins. The fourteen of you poked your heads around to see what had gotten him to act like this, and your heart sank at what you saw
Serenity was blocking the hole in the fence.
“Fuck,” Jeonghan hissed.
“We’re gonna die here...” Seokmin whispered, but Wonwoo was quick to comfort him.
“What’s the plan now?” Hansol wondered.
“I know it’ll risk us going to jail or something,” Jihoon began, “but I think it’s time we just cave and call someone.”
“No, I’m not going back there!” Seungkwan whispered intensely.
Your eyebrows furrowed as your turned to look at him, “Excuse me?”
“I’d rather get arrested than get murdered,” Mingyu insisted. “At least we know we’ll be safe and alive in jail.”
You made a face, “Will we, though?”
“Listen,” Hansol interrupted as he pulled out his phone, “I’ll just call my parents -- they’re really chill. And worse case scenario, they just lecture us.”
But as he went to make the call, all his phone did was beep at him like the line was busy. He took the phone away from his ear and looked down, furrowing his eyebrows.
“We had service all night, right?” he asked.
“Yeah...?” Joshua replied.
“Well now I don’t for some reason,” he said, turning his phone screen to show his friends.
Mingyu’s eyes widened, “You’re kidding.”
Then everyone, including you, were taking out their phones and checking for service. Just like Hansol, you had no bars.
Unfortunately, everyone else was in the same boat.
Now, Seokmin was on the verge of tears, “We’re going to die here!”
“Don’t get hysterical yet,” Minghao told him. “There’s gotta be a way out of this. Even if we have to wait around until morning, we can probably out-run these hunks of metal.”
“Y’know, I heard a friend of a friend snuck in here once,” Soonyoung began. “Some dude Changkyun knows. He said there’s apparently some sort of underground exit under the food court.”
“At this point, we’ll have to try anything,” Wonwoo sighed.
“So back to the food court?” Seungcheol practically whined.
You took a deep breath, “Unfortunately, yeah.”

“Does anyone even remember where the hole in the fence is?” you asked.
Everyone either gave you blank stares or shook their heads. You let out a sigh.
“Alternate way it is,” Minghao shrugged.
“Let’s just hang here until someone thinks of something,” Seungcheol suggested. “We’re all here, and I think those things are still hanging around wherever we were before. It’ll take a while before we see them again.”
So the fourteen of you hung out at the merry-go-round. Most of you leaned up against the horses or found yourselves sitting down on them. A few of you sat on the two steps of the platform. Chan and Wonwoo were sitting in one of the carriages that most families or parents sat in. All of you were scrolling on your phones or looking at someone else’s phone, trying to research anything about Caratland that might help you find a way out. Maybe a map or a blueprint or something might come up.
Suddenly, the ride jerked. You almost fell over onto Junhui as the ride began turning slowly, the music trying to play but the wiring was too old and worn that it just sounded demonic at best.
“Ha ha, very funny,” Jihoon scoffed. “Who turned on the ride?”
The question was overlooked by Mingyu’s shriek. Every head who was on his side of the merry-go-round whipped over to see Bongbong sitting on a horse only a few rows away from the tall boy. But another scream from Seungkwan was what brought attention to the answer to Jihoon’s question.
Eight was standing at the controls of the ride, his never-changing smile on his face as he slowly waved.
“Run!” Joshua called, leaping off of the horse he was sitting sideways on.
“Run where?” Seokmin called as he scrambled to get off the ride and jump the short fence.
“Food court!” Soonyoung shouted as he pumped his legs as fast as they would go. “It’s a long shot...but I have an idea!”
“I’d rather know the idea first!” Jeonghan called after him as the group ran together away from the merry-go-round.
“One of Changkyun’s friends apparently broke in before!” he tried to explain between breaths. “He said there’s an underground exit there! Who knows if it’s legit, but...”
But it was the only plan they had.

All of you had to squeeze through the tiny basement windows to get back in after finding the doors to be locked once again.
“How’d those fuckers get out in the first place?” Jeonghan huffed as he landed on the concrete floor of the basement. “The doors have been locked this entire time.”
“We’re being chased by animatronics that haven’t been functioning for years, and they’re out to kill us for some reason, and that’s what you’re going to question?” Soonyoung pointed out.
“Can we focus, please?” Seungcheol whined. “The sooner we find this secret eit, the sooner we’re free.”
“Everyone start searching,” Hansol said, waiving for everyone to scour the basement.
All of you searched every inch you could. The floor, the walls, shelves, behind old cupboards and props -- but there was nothing.
“What if it’s not here?” Chan suggested.
“Yeah? And where else would an underground exit be other than in the basement?” Jeonghan shot back.
The youngest frowned and rolled his eyes, “Soonyoung just said it was underground, he didn’t say under what part of the food court.”
“I mean...Jeonghan has a point,” Seokmin admitted hesitantly. “The basement is underground.”

“It can’t hurt to check somewhere else,” you spoke up, moving to stand beside Chan. “We’re looked everywhere down here. What if it’s not in the basement? There could be some secret tunnel under a different location and we’re just going to be here wasting our time.”
“I mean...yeah, that makes sense,” Jihoon decided with a shrug. “Alright, we’ll try back upstairs.”
“I don’t wanna go back up there...” Seokmin whined, clinging to the nearest person -- it happened to be Junhui.
“We’re all going,” you reassured him with a soft smile. “Let’s go. Nothing’s going to happen.”
You led the way up the stairs this time, but you found yourself going slow. You strained your ears for any noise on the other side of the basement door but the food court seemed to be quiet. Maybe the animatronics couldn’t get back in since the doors were locked.
You pushed the door open cautiously, poking your head out to glance around. It seemed empty, so you opened the door wider and let everyone else out.
“Is that e--”
SLAM!
All of you jumped back and turned around hearing the basement door slam shut behind the last person out.
“Fuck this, I want out,” Mingyu stated, shaking his head as he began to quickly walk away from the door.
“Hold up,” Wonwoo reached out and grabbed Mingyu’s wrist to keep him with the group. “We should stick together.”
“It probably just closed from the weight of the door anyway,” Minghao figured before going to pull on the door handle.
It didn’t budge.
“Move out of the way, toothpick,” Seungcheol smoothly pushed Minghao out of the way before trying the door himself.
Still nothing.
“D-did it...lock?” Chan asked slowly.
“Haha, would you look at that?” Seungkwan said, checking his wrist that very clearly didn’t have a watch on it. “I actually have to get the fuck out of here. Bye!”
“Maaaaybe,” Hansol grabbed him by the elbow and dragged him back, “don’t do that.”
“Yeah, nobody goes running off, got it?” Jihoon checked, shining his light at everyone to make sure they agreed to the new rule. “Shit’s too weird to be splitting up.”
“I think our best bet would be to hide in the security room until morning,” you spoke up. “It’s probably the safest place in here.”
“_____’s right,” Wonwoo nodded. “Let’s go -- and stick together.”
As a group, all of you made your way to the security room, with you, Jihoon, and Soonyoung leading the way. All of you had your lights, shining them around to make sure the entire area was safe until you made it to the security room and barricaded the door closed.
“Jesus Christ, I hated that,” Mingyu panted as if he had been holding his breath the entire time you were walking.
“I think I almost shit myself,” Soonyoung admitted.
“Imagine your last words being ‘I think I almost shit myself’,” Junhui snorted.
“Hang on, shut the fuck up,” Seungcheol snapped, holding a hand up as he quickly scanned the group in the room. He was trying to count heads while all of you were talking, and as he quickly recounted, his blood turned to ice. “Why are we one short?”
“One short?” Jeonghan asked.
“Someone’s missing,” he said urgently.
“Alright, let’s run attendance real quick,” Jihoon decided, trying to stay level-headed. He pulled out his phone and went to the group chat. “Obviously I’m here. Soonyoung?”
“Here.”
“Seungcheol?”
“Here.”
“Mingyu?”
“Unfortunately here.”
“Hansol?”
“Yup.”
“_____?”
“Here.”
“Joshua?”
Silence.
Jihoon looked up from his phone, repeating, “Josh?”
You and your friends looked around, trying to find Joshua’s face in the crowded room. But nobody spoke up, and the silence following Joshua’s name became deafening.
“Oh fuck...” you breathed, trying to not completely lose your shit. “Did we really lose Josh?”
“We have to go back for him,” Jeonghan insisted.
“What? No!” Seungkwan shouted. “That’s suicide!”
Then everyone was bickering. While everyone of course wanted to hope Joshua was safe, half of the group felt that going back out to look for him would mean all of them would get killed. The other half, on the other hand, were willing to risk their lives to go on a rescue mission.

“I mean...how would it be under anywhere else?” you asked slowly with a shrug. “No offense, Chan. But like, this is kind of the only basement in the place.”
“See?” Jeonghan sneered.
Chan just frowned and rolled his eyes.
“There’s gotta be something we missed,” Soonyoung said, trying to stay calm. “Let’s just sweep the place over again.”
But after more looking, you still came up with nothing.
“At this point, I’m about to just dig through the boxes of old animatronic parts and just hope there’s a portal at the bottom or something,” Joshua sighed, slumped against a wall with Jeonghan beside him.
“Good luck,” Jeonghan scoffed. “I already tried picking one up to move them away from the wall but they’re super fucking heavy. It’s literally impossible.”
You turned your head to look at the large stack of boxes. There were piles of various sizes, but the ones at the back pressed up against the wall went up the highest. It was a long shot, but behind the boxes was the only place nobody checked because it couldn’t be reached. But with everyone giving up hope, it didn’t hurt to try, right?
“Hey, Gyu,” you spoke up before pointing to the boxes. “Think you can move those?”
Mingyu shrugged, “Yeah, probably.”
He walked over to the wall and began lifting boxes one-by-one. He grunted as he picked them up and moved them away until he called everyone over.
“There’s metal behind here!” he called over his shoulder.
“Ooh, is it the door?” Soonyoung asked excitedly, pushing himself off the floor.
“Told you it was better to look down here,” Jeonghan said once more.
Jihoon groaned, “Can you let it go? Leave Chan alone already.”
Seungcheol started assisting in the box-moving until the metal door was accessible. Seungcheol tried to push it open, but it didn’t budge. He tried harder, but still nothing.
“Can I try?” Mingyu asked.
Seungcheol stepped out of the way, gesturing for the tallest to give it a shot.
Mingyu threw his shoulder into the door a few times before it finally swung open, leading to a narrow corridor that looked like it would bring you straight to Hell.
“Okay,” Soonyoung breathed out, “let’s see if this is the way to freedom.”

“Why is this an argument?!” you shouted over the bickering. “Our friend could be dead! I don’t care if nobody comes with me, but I’m going to find Josh.”
“I’ll go,” Jeonghan stated.
“Me too,” Hansol volunteered with a slight raise of his hand.
“Plus, I highly doubt an animatronic got him,” Minghao scoffed as he went to join your group as you went to open the door.
“Well...good luck with that,” Seungkwan nodded.
In the end, it was you leading the way, with Jeonghan, Hansol, Minghao, Seokmin, and Seungcheol tagging along -- the latter two clinging to each other as you opened the door and went down the short hallway to the door that read EMPLOYEES ONLY on the other side.
“Why would he split off from the group?” Jeonghan wondered. “If he were trying to prank you guys, he would’ve had me in on it.”
“Maybe he just--”
Your sentence was cut off by a scream -- your own scream. Your eyes saw the scene before you: Joshua’s body laying just in front of the EMPLOYEES ONLY door, a bloodied mess. All you could do was scream.
Standing over him, covered in what you could only assume was your friend’s blood, was Bongbong.
“_____, run!” Minghao shouted, grabbing your arm and yanking you away from the door.
He quickly reached for the door and slammed it closed as you and the others ran back down the short hall. Jihoon had poked his head out the door to see what the noise was, and you crashed right into him, hyperventilating as tears welled in your eyes.
God, that image was going to be burned into your brain forever.
“What happened?” he asked.
“J-J-Josh!” you sobbed.
“Those things are in here,” Minghao panted, closing the door to the security room and pressing his back. “Th-they got Josh.”
“You’re fucking with us,” Seungkwan said quietly and very unsurely.
“Would Minghao fuck with you?!” Jeonghan cried. “If you don’t believe us, why don’t you go out there and check for yourself, Kwan? Go get yourself traumatized!”
“Okay, don’t scream at him, it won’t help anything,” Wonwoo spoke up, trying to somehow keep the group put together.
“Let’s just focus on finding a way out,” Seungcheol decided in a shaky voice.
“U-um...guys?” Mingyu spoke up, staring into the monitors.
Everyone gathered over to see what he was looking at.
Each room had a camera and a monitor to go with it. In each room, stood an animatronic. Each camera had an animatronic staring into it, as if they all were staring at the group.
They knew where you were.
“We have to get out of here,” Seomin panted, beginning to hyperventilate. “They’re going to come in here and kill us!”
“I get it’s scary, but we have to stay calm and--”
“Hey!”
Everyone turned their heads a the sudden exclamation. Chan was standing beside a square metal door in the floor with some dusty boxes and wires he’d moved to find it. He smirked, gesturing to the door.
“While you guys were shitting your pants, I found the underground exit,” he stated.
“Well fuck, kid,” Jihoon whistled under his breath.
“Let’s get the hell outta here,” Soonyoung said as he threw the trapdoor opened and descended the ladder that led to a narrow corridor.
Chan gave Jeonghan a pointed look, “And you thought I was stupid.”
Jeonghan just rolled his eyes, “Whatever.”

You felt like a shitty person for not wanting to risk your life for Joshua. You felt extremely guilty that you didn’t want to go out and look for your friend, but truthfully, you were afraid to die -- and that’s why half your friends didn’t want to go looking for him. Not everyone was brave enough to be a hero, and while you always told yourself you would be when putting yourself into the shoes of horror movie characters, it just wasn’t the truth.
But in the midst of the argument of whether or not to go out to search for Josh -- the argument that you stayed silent for -- Mingyu spoke up in a shaky voice, “U-uh...g-guys?”
Everyone turned toward him to see he was staring into the monitors. You all gathered over to see what he was looking at.
Each room had a camera and a monitor to go with it. However, the monitors had gone fuzzy so you couldn’t see anything in any of the rooms.
Wonwoo’s eyebrows furrowed, “Why are the cameras suddenly down?”
You wished they stayed that way after seeing what was displayed next. In each room, stood an animatronic. Each camera had an animatronic staring into it, as if they all were staring at the group.
They knew where you were.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the most disturbing thing.
You could see on one of the monitors, Bongbong was standing in front of the camera holding a familiar body. Joshua was being held up by his neck, and blood was coming out of his mouth, nose, eyes, and even his ears.
You weren’t the only one to let out a scream and flinch away from the camera, hiding your face as you started panicking and crying.
“We have to get out of here,” Seomin panted, beginning to hyperventilate. “They’re going to come in here and kill us!”
“We have to find the fucking exit!” Seungcheol said in a panic. “Everyone go--”
“Hey!”
Everyone turned their heads a the sudden exclamation. Chan was standing beside a square metal door in the floor with some dusty boxes and wires he’d moved to find it. He was just staring at you like he hadn’t just witnessed what all of you did -- and maybe he didn’t because he was too busy searching.
“Way ahead of you,” he stated.
“Thank god,” Jihoon said under his breath.
“Let’s get the hell outta here,” Soonyoung said as he threw the trapdoor opened and descended the ladder that led to a narrow corridor.
Chan gave Jeonghan a pointed look, “And you thought I was stupid.”
Jeonghan just glared at him, “I’m not in the fucking mood.”
And then he went down the ladder.

Other than only being wide enough for one person to walk through at a time, it was also very dimly-lit. It definitely looked like something straight out of a horror movie that would 100% lead to the characters’ imminent death.
Needless to say your heart was pounding in your ears.
There was another metal door, but this one was far easier to open. The squeak of it echoed down the corridor as the thirteen of you filed into the room. It seemed to be where they kept the spare mascot suits that actual employees would wear. There were a few of the bodies of the suits hanging up, with heads scattered in corners and on shelves, along with gloves and feet strewn about.
“I hate this,” Jun stated, looking around the room.
“I know these things are empty, but looking into their empty eyes is somehow worse,” Jihoon mumbled, staring at an Eight head.
At the opposite end of the tiny room in the right corner was another metal door. You were starting to wonder how many more metal doors you’d have to encounter in this place.
To the left of the room, there was a tiny wooden door that seemed like it would lead to a crawlspace. You assumed there was just more storage back there, but nobody cared enough to look back there, anyway. The focus was to get out of this place and get to safety.
“C’mon,” you nodded your head toward the other metal door that you assumed would lead to the exit, “let’s keep going.”
As Seungcheol went for the door, you and your friends heard banging. You all paused, Seungcheol’s hand on the handle. You listened for the banging again, and then looked to where it seemed to be coming from.
“Guys?” Joshua’s voice called from behind the small wooden door. “Guys?! Oh my god, guys! C-can you hear me? Hello?! Help me!”
“Josh?” Jeonghan took a step toward the door.

“Joshua!” you cried as you ran to the small door.
You knew what your eyes saw, but was it possible none of it was real? How else would you be hearing Joshua’s voice? He must’ve been alive somehow. Anything seemed possible at this point.
You got down on your knees, opened the small door, and crawled your way through. You stood up as your friends tried to get in behind you, but what you saw made your heart fall into your stomach as your hands went to cover your mouth, muffling the loud sob that came out.
Joshua’s body was slumped against the left wall, looking just as you had remembered.
He was still dead.
Your friends had similar reactions to you. Seokmin even threw up.
Seungcheol shook his head slowly, eyes full of tears while some streaked his cheeks, “We... W-we have to bring his body...”
“He’s right,” Jihoon said solemnly -- his body seemed to be shutting down now, almost uncapable of processing his emotions. “We need evidence of what happened tonight. Nobody will believe us otherwise.”
“I-I hate to say it, b-but...it’ll s-slow us down, though,” Wonwoo interjected through his sniffles. “What if we don’t make it out?”

You quickly reached out and grabbed Jeonghan to keep him from going any closer to that door. He turned to look at you, a pained expression on his face.
“Jeonghan, that’s not Joshua,” you told him. “You saw what happened to him. Whatever it is, it’s not him.”
“I think _____’s right,” Wonwoo nodded. “We need to keep going.”
You kept your hold on Jeonghan as all of your began filing out of the mascot room into another narrow corridor like the other one. This one, though, had a sharp right turn before leading down a while to another steel door.
But this door didn’t budge.
Soonyoung was at the head of the group, and he groaned in frustration as he tugged at the handle over and over again, “You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me; what’s with these doors?!”
You started to hear a thumping. It slowly got louder and louder...
...Or maybe it was closer and closer.
Junhui walked down the way you’d come and poked his head around the corner, his eyes widening at what he saw. He whipped his head back around and booked it straight back to where your group was trying to open the door, calling, “You might wanna hurry up on that door!”
Coming down the hall were all four animatronics, their eyes lit up as they stomped closer and closer.
“It’s not doing anything!” Soonyoung huffed, trying with all his might to open the door. “Mingyu, get up here!”
Mingyu squeezed between bodies to get to the door, trying to open it as the group just shouted for him to be faster.
“We might have to just...face these things,” Chan said. “Once and for all.”
“Yeah? How?” Wonwoo scoffed. “They’ll crush us in seconds.”
“There’s fou-- thirteen of us, and four of them. We might have a shot.”

“We can’t just leave him here,” you stated. “Not only for the evidence, but because he doesn’t deserve to rot away here. His family doesn’t deserve to wonder what happened to him.”
“I’ll grab him,” Seungcheol offered, swallowing his fears and stepping forward to scoop up his friend. “Let’s get him home.”
Chan was the last into the tiny room, so he turned to go. But the wooden door was suddenly closed and wouldn’t open back up.
“What the hell?!” he grunted as he continued to try the door.
“Why’d you let it close, dumbass?!” Jeonghan demanded.
“I didn’t!” Chan shouted back. “It was just open!”
“Ugh, leave it to the fucking baby to--”
“G-guys?” Seokmin asked.
“Can you get off my fucking case?!” Chan huffed as he stood up and went to stand toe-to-toe with Jeonghan. “You’re always such a fucking asshole to me! Why can’t you--”
“Guys?” Seokmin tried again, looking between the left and right walls.
“Are you two really going to argue right now?” Jihoon groaned. “We’re literally--”
“Guys!” Seokmin finally shouted over everyone. “The walls!”
“What about the--”
Jihoon’s question died down as soon as all of you began looking at the walls. They were moving in toward each other, which would crush all of you between them.
Everyone was suddenly in a panic. Everyone was throwing themselves at the door, trying to tug it open before the walls could do anything. Some of you -- such as you and Wonwoo -- decided to spread out so you had more room. But some -- like Jeonghan and Chan, who grouped up by the door with a few others -- created a big human-lump that would be crushed faster. You heard their cries and pleas before they were crushed to death with a sound you couldn’t get out of your ears.
It was only a moment later you met the same fate.

"Nobody wants to be the asshole that says it’s better to leave him behind, but...” you trailed off.
Wonwoo was right. Joshua would more than likely slow you down. Besides, you knew Josh would want all of you to have the best chance of getting out alive as possible.
“Th-then you go ahead,” Seokmin spoke up, almost like he was afraid to.
“What?” Jihoon asked.
“I...” Seokmin looked at Joshua as more tears welled in his eyes. “It makes me sad to think he’d just be down here alone. I don’t care if he’s...gone. He can’t just stay down here.”
“I’m not leaving my best friend down here,” Jeonghan agreed.
“Seokmin, he’s--”
“Look, just go,” Hansol interrupted whatever Jihoon was going to say. “I’ll help them with the body. You guys just go on ahead.”
Minus the three who wanted to collect Joshua’s body, the group turned and left the small room and went back to the mascot room. Soonyoung tugged on the metal door and led the way down another corridor that looked exactly the same as the one that had led into the mascot room. This one, though, had a sharp right turn before leading down a while to another steel door.
But as you were walking down the hallway, you heard the yells and screams of your three friends. All of you turned on a dime and ran back toward the mascot room but the metal door was already closed and wouldn’t re-open for some reason. All of you were yelling and trying to open the door until you heard a sickening crunch, and then silence.
You all fell silent. You didn’t know what to do now.
“We--” Jihoon’s voice cracked so he cleared his throat. “We should just...keep going...”
Following behind Jihoon, you all turned one by one and went back down the hallway. You turned the corner and walked down that long hallway toward another metal door.
But this door didn’t budge.
Jihoon groaned in frustration as he tugged at the handle over and over again, “You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me; what’s with these doors?!”
You started to hear a thumping. It slowly got louder and louder...

“There’s fou-- nine of us, and four of them. We might have a shot.”
“Well hurry up and decide so we can at least put the strongest up against them first,” Junhui called.

“Mingyu, keep trying the door!” you called to him. “We’ll try to hold them back.”
“We?!” Seungkwan repeated.
Mingyu continued to try to pull the door open as the animatronics slowly turned the corner and began walking toward the nine of you. You weren’t sure how to prepare yourself for this at all, but you knew you couldn’t just turn your back and die.
But you should’ve known what would happen. Four giant machines up against eight fleshy humans who were nowhere near as strong. Sure, all of you were faster than them, but how could you dodge or run in such a narrow hallway? You were doomed from the start.
Well, not you specifically.
Seungcheol had shoved you to the back toward Mingyu, promising to keep you safe. So your friends all died in front of you, and all you could do was stand there and watch in horror.
That’s when Bongbong closed in on you.
“I got the--!”
Mingyu’s exclamation of finally getting the door open was cut off by Bongbong’s arm swinging out and clotheslining him into the wall and cutting off his oxygen.
The attack that was meant for you, but you had ducked underneath.
The light flooded into the corridor, and just like that, the animatronics just shut down. The light turned off in their eyes, and they were frozen with their hands reaching out for you.
Except Bongbong’s arm that was now frozen in place, keeping Mingyu strangled against the wall.
You could hear Mingyu gasping for air as you slowly opened your eyes that you’d squeezed shut when you ducked. You looked up and saw the animatronics were lifeless now, and then you shot up and turned to try to help Mingyu. You pulled and pulled on Bongbong’s arm while you had to watch Mingyu slowly die. It was like watching a movie in slow motion, the way his body went limp and the life drained from his eyes. Still, you stood there and sobbed and told him you’d free him as you continued to pull uselessly at the animatronic.
When it finally set in that you didn’t stand a chance, you ran out the back parking lot where the door opened to. You ran out of the park and to your car -- which was still parked near the other 3 that belonged to your friends that were no longer with you -- and drove off toward home with tears still streaming down your face.
The clock on your car radio said 6:08am.

“The door’s useless!” you cried. “We’re not going to just turn our backs and die. That’s not how I wanna go out.”
Nobody had any faith, but they knew you were right. Laying down and dying after all of this wasn’t worth it. If you died, at least you would die fighting.
But you should’ve known what would happen. Four giant machines up against nine fleshy humans who were nowhere near as strong. Sure, all of you were faster than them, but how could you dodge or run in such a narrow hallway? You were doomed from the start.
Seungcheol had shoved you to the back toward the door that wouldn’t open, promising to keep you safe. So your friends all died in front of you, and all you could do was stand there and watch in horror.

“The door will work!” you swore “Like the basement, remember? Just keep trying!”
Sure, this was different in the way that you had to pull and not push, but it had to give eventually, right?
You continued to face the animatronics that were now starting to close in on all of you. Seungcheol tried to squeeze in besided Mingyu, grabbing the handle and pulling with him. Jihoon crawled between Mingyu’s legs and stood in between the taller boy’s arms, both of his hands wrapped around the handle and tugging with everything he had.
You moved to put yourself in front of your friends. You got all of them into this mess, so you deserved to be the first to die.
As Bongbong closed in on you, you closed your eyes.
“_____--!”
The darkness you saw behind your eyelids suddenly seemed brighter, and you felt a gust of wind from behind you.
There was a couple seconds of silence.
“Holy shit,” Minghao breathed.
You opened one eye just enough to see Bongbong’s face just inches from yours. But...why were the lights in its eyes off?
You opened your eye wider. Then the other one. Its arm was only a hair away from you, but it made no move to actually touch you. There was also light flooding into the corridor from behind you. You whipped your head around to see the door was open, and you looked back at four animatronics. Were they off now?
“Oh my god,” you sighed in a shaky voice, taking a step backward toward the door.
“Let’s get the fuck out of here,” Wonwoo said as he grabbed your hand and all but dragged you out the door.
The door opened to the back of the parking lot. All of you ran as fast as you could toward your cars, only stopping at the hood of the closest one to catch your breath. Seungcheol pulled out his phone.
“It’s 6am,” he reported.
“Maybe that’s why the door didn’t open,” Wonwoo panted, hands on his knees.
“I don’t care to speculate,” Jihoon said as he went to get into one of the four cars. “Take me the fuck home.”

You weren’t sure what to do about the texts from the group chat when you got home. You swore everyone was dead. You watched them die in front of you.
Soonyoung said he was tripping balls the whole night.
Jeonghan agreed, saying he was sure there was something in the air making them hallucinate.
Even Jihoon was saying something weird had happened that night, because he thought he saw everyone die.
So...maybe they were right?
But when you inevitably went to school Halloween day, something didn’t seem right. Maybe it was because you hadn’t slept all night and you were drained in every sense, or maybe it was because you were convinced all of your friends had died right before your very eyes, but everything felt...off. At least, your friends did. It was their smiles and their voices and their hugs and laughs and promises that everything was fine, but something about it seemed alien to you.
Maybe it was from how emotionally and mentally drained you were, and the fact you didn’t get any sleep, but you swore there was an odd glow to their eyes that wasn’t just the glimmer of the florescents.
And why did Junhui wink at you?

Get dressed.
Brush your teeth.
Brush your hair.
Go downstairs and converse with your parents.
Drive to school.
Say hello to your friends.
Laugh at what Soonyoung said.
Promise to walk to class with Seokmin and Seungcheol after you go to the bathroom.
Go into the bathroom.
Use the mirror to fix your outfit.
Use your fingers to brush through your hair one more time.
A light reflects off the mirror.
You are the only one in the bathroom.

(NOTE: i know some people might’ve only had josh die while other had more people die. so this part will mention multiple people who didn’t make it home but i will only mention josh by name. sorry if it seems kind of confusing)
You didn’t even want to go back home after everything that happened. But you needed to shower and change, so you dropped your friends off before going home. After getting out of the shower, you checked your phone. Your heart dropped and your stomach was doing flips at what it saw.
One series of texts was from a group chat that was all of the people you were positive made it home from Caratland. All of them were wondering what the fuck was going on.
The other was the original group chat, with a text from Joshua asking if everyone made it home okay. It made a shiver go down your spine. How could he be texting? He died.
Those that had died started having a conversation about hallucinating, insisting something weird must’ve been in the air to make everyone trip and see things that didn’t actually happen. Nobody knew if it was possible. Minghao suggested that at this point, anything was possible. But still, why did all of you have the same hallucination?
The group decided it was best to ignore the message.
When Wonwoo offered to give you a ride to school, you said yes.
The two of you walked to homeroom together and saw the usual group of your friends sitting at the left side of the classroom. But seeing the friends you thought had died now just sitting there like nothing happened made your skin crawl. You wanted to turn around and walk out.
Wonwoo squeezed your hand and continued forward.
You sat and chatted with the group, and everyone seemed to be dancing around the fact that things were...weird.
Maybe it was from how emotionally and mentally drained you were, and the fact you didn’t get any sleep, but you swore there was an odd glow to their eyes that wasn’t just the glimmer of the fluorescents.

From the very first time you met him, Wonwoo had held a special place in your heart. There was something captivating, something inviting and something very familiar about him that really appealed to you, and not once did say or do anything that had your heart faltering - quite the opposite, really.
The first time you met, you had raised your eyebrows upon seeing a man randomly crouched in the middle of the street, which wasn’t exactly your everyday sight. When you walked closer, however, you could see that he was playing with a kitten, a small smile on his face as the small cat meowed and tried to reach for his hand.
“Is it yours?” you had found yourself asking him, and the man had turned to look at you in surprise, still smiling, and you had taken note of how you could’ve sworn you’d seen him before.
“No, I just found it from the street. But I’m contemplating…” his voice had trailed off as he had turned back to the kitten, giving it his hand to lean against, which it did while closing its eyes. The man’s smile softened. “I don’t want to leave it here. It won’t live long if I do.”
You had then crouched down next to him, giving the kitten your own hand to smell a little, and hummed. “Are you able to take it in?”
“I suppose,” he had said thoughtfully. “Or at least I don’t think my apartment has a pet ban.”
“Let’s hope so, then,” you had smiled, and he had agreed.
For a moment you had just been there, two odd, crouching people while others walked past you, talking about the kitten and pets in general. Eventually he had stood up with the kitten in his hands.
“I’m taking it in,” he had said determinedly, his nose scrunching a little with his smile. “Oh, and I’m Jeon Wonwoo. You look a bit familiar…”
“I’m Y/N,” you had introduced yourself and smiled a bit shyly at his remark. “And you do, too. But unless you go to the nearby university, we might not have met before.”
“I do, actually,” Wonwoo had smiled, “but I don’t think we’ve met, I’ve just seen you around.”
Your cheeks had heated up the tiniest bit from the fact that he remembered you despite only seeing you, but you had nodded in understanding nevertheless. Besides, hadn’t it been the same way for you?
“Perhaps we should actually meet there someday, too,” you had giggled and moved your eyes from Wonwoo’s piercing eyes to the kitten in his arms, petting it lightly. “You need to keep me updated on this little fellow.”
“I will,” he had laughed, and soon you had departed, him home with the kitten and you with a new warmth in your chest to the university, where you had a lesson.
From there on, you and Wonwoo got to know each other, little by little. It started with simply talking about the kitten and how it was doing and what he had named it, but soon you also began talking about school as well as your interests, which seemed to match surprisingly well.
“How did we not meet before?” you asked one afternoon when the two of you were at one of the cafés at the campus, doing your work for a course you shared, and Wonwoo chuckled while sipping on his coffee.
“Probably because I’m pretty withdrawn, and we’ve literally had one course in common before this one?” he suggested amusedly, and when you turned to look at him, you could see his nose crinkling a little, which only made your smile widen.
He was cute.
“That could be it,” you chuckled and took a sip of your own drink. “But I’m glad we met, really. Even if it was a rather odd situation.”
“Me too,” Wonwoo smiled warmly, and blinked in surprise when his phone buzzed. “Shit, I gotta go, I promised to catch a movie with Mingyu. Are you still coming over tomorrow to see Bongbong?”
He started packing his bag, and you laughed to yourself at the name he had given the kitten. “Of course I am, if it’s still fine with you.”
“Good,” he grinned and stood up to put his laptop into his bag, too. “I’ll get you the book we talked about earlier.”
“Alright,” you smiled and watched Wonwoo leave the café, his phone in his hand and his bag lazily on his shoulder. A quiet sigh left your lips as you moved your gaze down to your notebook, where you were doing a book analysis.
In the middle of the page was the main topic - unrequited love - that you had yet to add details to.
The warm yet hopeless feeling in your chest told you that it would be a fairly personal analysis to do, as much as you knew your feelings could hardly be called love just yet.
The next day, you knocked on Wonwoo’s door, holding a new packet of cat toys and some snacks in your other hand, and smiled brightly when he opened the door to you. “I got the kitten something nice.”
As soon as you entered his apartment, you were met with quiet meowing, and soon the gray kitten came to the hallway from the living room, visibly happy to see you.
“Well hello there,” you cooed and crouched down to pet Bongbong a little, mainly giving it the freedom to press itself against you. Wonwoo looked at the two of you in amusement as you opened the toy pack and began playing with the kitten.
“Sometimes I think it might like you more than it likes me,” he hummed with a chuckle, and you snorted.
“I doubt that, you’re the one taking care of it,” you pointed out and moved your gaze up to Wonwoo. “No one can beat that.”
“But for reference, you just spoil and play with it, I have to scold it,” Wonwoo noted with a grin, and you laughed.
“Still,” you said quietly and, a few moments later, stood up. “So, tea?”
He nodded and went to the kitchen corner, and you followed him while he put the kettle on.
“Where’s the book?” you asked curiously and looked around, taking note of the bookshelf in his living room area, full of books and CDs, and Wonwoo let out a quiet “Oh, yeah,” and went to his bedroom, soon returning with the book you had wanted to read.
“There you go,” he smiled while handing it to you, and leaned against the kitchen counter. “It’s a bit worn out, but that just means it’s a good book.”
You looked at him in amusement and shook your head. “How many times have you read this?”
“Too many to count,” he snickered and turned around to get the two of you some cups from the cupboard. You moved your eyes to him, a bit shy as you took in his features: they were sharp in many ways, but there was something very warm about him that made you feel at ease with him.
You had come to treasure the sharpness of his eyes, because beneath it all there was so much love for the things and people around him, and to you that spoke volumes about him. He was one of the people who looked intimidating but were one of the nicest people once you got to know them, and while you hadn’t been friends for too long yet, you already felt a connection with him.
He turned to look at you when he had put the cups down, and smiled widely when he caught you looking at him, his features somehow relaxing immediately. “What is it?”
A smile spread to your lips, too. You could tell he felt a similar connection, too.
“It’s nothing, I just got a bit lost in my thoughts,” you lied and shook your head a little. Wonwoo nodded, and although he wasn’t fully convinced, he didn’t push it any further, either.
Perhaps the way he knew when not to cross any lines was also one of the many things that led to you falling for him, slowly but surely.
Soon you sat by the table with tea in your cups, and you giggled while looking at Bongbong as it climbed up to his couch that already had a lot of scratch marks in it.
“Why did you name it Bongbong?” you asked amusedly and quirked your eyebrow a little.
Wonwoo laughed and shook his head, clearly amused by the memory. “It was actually Mingyu’s idea. He spent a while staring at Bongbong, squinting his eyes and all, and suddenly blurted it out, and well… Now it’s Bongbong.”
You laughed heartily and sipped your tea. “Mingyu has too much power.”
His smile softened a little. “It’s fine.”
You blinked in surprise, but didn’t pay much mind to any of it, not even the way Wonwoo’s voice softened at the mention of Mingyu.
After all, they were friends.
“You’ve been daydreaming a lot lately.”
You jolted from the sudden voice by your side and turned to the owner of it, seeing Wonwoo grinning at you, now seated by your side in the auditorium.
“Oh, it’s just…” you began, your words trailing off, and slowly moved your eyes away from him. You were not about to tell him that you were daydreaming about him. “The assignment for Mrs. Kim.”
Wonwoo quirked his eyebrow and squinted his eyes a little. “You turned it in yesterday. Did you miss something in it or why is it still on your mind?”
Cursing his attentiveness in your mind - who even kept track of what schoolwork their friends turned in and what they didn’t - you forced a smile. “Ah, kinda. There was something I now realize I should’ve included in it.”
He nodded and smiled a little. “Let’s hope she won’t mind.”
You nodded and mentally let out a sigh of relief: he had bought it.
Wonwoo got his book and laptop out, ready for the lesson you were about to have together, and let out a sound that let you know he had just remembered something. “Oh yeah, wanna go see a movie this weekend? Mingyu kinda bailed on me, and you’re amazing to be with, so…”
While the mention of the first option being Mingyu made you frown for a nanosecond, your heart felt warm at the invite, and so you nodded readily. You’d never turn down time to be with Wonwoo. “Sure. What movie is it?”
“I can give you a list of all the ones I want to see and you can choose?” he chuckled amusedly, his eyes sparkling the friendly warmth they usually did with you, and you chuckled quietly.
“That works,” you said, and soon turned your attention to the front of the auditorium, where your lecturer was preparing to start the lesson.
Wonwoo took one more amused, warm look at you before focusing on the lecturer, too.
While you didn’t want to admit it, you put a bit more effort into the way you looked for the movie with Wonwoo. You made sure your clothes were neat, looked good on you, and that your hair wasn’t too messy nor too neat, and so forth.
You wanted to look good and feel like you did, but only so that it didn’t seem awfully obvious.
Wonwoo’s eyes widened momentarily when he saw you at your meeting spot by the movie theatre. “I’m not saying that you don’t look good on the regular, but wow, Y/N, you look good.”
Feeling your cheeks heat up a little, you smiled at him. “Thanks.”
If you weren’t completely imagining it, however, you weren’t the only one who had put some effort into the way you looked, as Wonwoo seemed to have chosen his outfit and accessories with more care than usual, too. His appearance altogether had your heart beating a bit faster; he looked even more handsome than he normally did.
“Let’s get going,” Wonwoo chuckled and stroked your arm for a moment, then waited for you to join him in walking into the theatre. Once you had gotten your tickets, you went to look at popcorn and other snacks. “So, what do you want?”
“Popcorn,” you said without much of a thought, eyes locked on it. He grinned and hummed in understanding, which made you squint your eyes a little. “Why?”
“It’s on me,” he announced, and you shook your head immediately.
“No no, I don’t want to owe you,” you said, but Wonwoo merely laughed.
“Relax, it’s not expensive and I won’t want any money back. I was mostly thinking we could share a big tub,” he laughed, if at nothing else, then at your panicked expression. Your features softened at his suggestion.
“Oh… okay,” you said, now much more relaxed, although Wonwoo’s playful expression did make you feel a bit nervous. You never knew what to expect when he was in such a mood.
Regardless, he bought you a big tub of popcorn, and the two of you got yourselves something to drink, too, before going to the room your movie would be in.
“I’ve got to admit, choosing the movie was difficult,” you sighed once you had sat down on the plush seat, with Wonwoo next to you. He laughed quietly.
“What, how many of the others did you want to see?” he asked in amusement and looked at you. You pursed your lips.
“All of them,” you admitted and earned a laugh from Wonwoo as an amazed, wide smile spread to his lips.
“We seem to have a lot in common,” he hummed softly and chuckled. “You’re the first one.”
You tilted your head in surprise and confusion, and he shook his head.
“It’s just that I don’t usually have a whole lot in common with… well, anyone,” he said warmly and looked into your eyes, which made you hold your breath subconsciously.
You smiled at him and patted his shoulder. “Well, now you have someone.”
“Yeah, and it’s amazing,” Wonwoo nodded happily, oblivious to just how warm and fuzzy his words made you feel.
As days, weeks and months passed, you started realizing just how much you liked Wonwoo, and not simply just as a friend. It eventually got to a point where it was almost painful to be with him, when you wanted to hold his hand and hug him and do that kind of things with him, but knew that he wasn’t the type to do any of that, at least unless you dated.
It took a gentle push from your best friend for you to finally realize that you could, in fact, confess to him and see where it would lead.
”He’s a good guy, there’s no way it’ll end badly. If the feeling is mutual, you’ll see what to do. And even if it isn’t, I’m sure he doesn’t want to give up on your friendship.”
With your friend’s words playing in your head, you walked up the stairs to Wonwoo’s apartment, where you had agreed to go again, both to see Bongbong and work on a project with him.
It all went as per usual - you played with Bongbong, Wonwoo made you tea, you worked on the project, and eventually sat down with some light lunch and talked.
Your heart beat fast in your chest. This was it.
“Wonwoo,” you began, suddenly feeling your mouth go dry and your heart skip a beat when he looked straight into your eyes. “I… I’ve been wanting to tell you something.”
He raised his eyebrows curiously, but frowned a little when he took note of how nervous you were. “Is everything okay?”
He placed his hand on top of yours on the table, which alone sent a jolt of electricity through your body, and you pulled your hand away slowly.
“The thing is, I…” you took a deep breath and sighed as you moved your eyes up to his, having broken the eye contact a moment earlier. “I like you.”
There was silence as Wonwoo’s pupils dilated and mouth opened, yet no voice came out.
You weren’t sure if you were feeling hopeful or afraid, but the tension could’ve been cut with a knife nevertheless.
Then he averted his gaze, his lips curving downwards a little. “I’m sorry, Y/N, I… I like someone else.”
You could feel your heart drop, and you knew right there and then that it was quite likely one of the worst feelings in the world.
Despite the hopefulness and the little things - understanding each other’s humor better than anyone else and taking care of each other whenever needed being some - that had given you a tiny bit of hope that maybe, just maybe he liked you back, as it turned out… it was all nothing. He didn’t like you, not in that way, and instead liked someone else.
As you tried to think about who it could be - because you were just that masochistic - you suddenly realized something.
It all made sense.
“Do you like Mingyu?” you asked bluntly, and felt your heart drop another time when Wonwoo nodded a bit shyly, his cheeks a soft hue of pink.
“Yeah,” he admitted and rubbed the back of his neck. You nodded slowly, suddenly remembering all the times he had talked about Mingyu, always with such a soft voice and a small smile on his face.
As much as you could feel your heart breaking in your chest, you didn’t want to break down in front of Wonwoo, and merely forced a smile to your face. “Well, that’s that. Now you know.”
Wonwoo nodded, but he was still visibly concerned, looking sad as you tried to appear cheerful. “Y/N, I’m really sorry.”
“Don’t be,” you said immediately and shushed him with your hand, but your voice was about as empty as the look in your eyes. “Ah, I need to go, it’s getting late.”
It was barely even 5pm, but it didn’t matter. You had to get out of there, and Wonwoo could only guess how awkward the situation was for you, so he didn’t do anything to stop you or ask where you had to go at such a time.
“Will I still see you tomorrow?” he asked while you put on your shoes, as he leaned against the wall. You looked up at him.
“Oh, uh… sure,” you smiled and grabbed your bag. “Until tomorrow!”
With that, you left, closing the door behind yourself as fast as you could, and it was when the door was shut that it all crashed down on you, and you could no longer hold the sob in, your hand covering your mouth. It felt like your heart was shattering, and it only made it so much worse to know that Wonwoo still treasured you and was worried about you.
Perhaps it would’ve felt easier if he didn’t like you at all, not even as a friend, but instead he thought of you as a very close one.
You wouldn’t have minded if the next day never came.
That evening, you spent a good few hours on the phone with your best friend, telling them how things had played out, although you left out who Wonwoo liked, since you weren’t sure it was something he wanted others to know.
”Ah… that’s so unfortunate, Y/N. But you’re still friends, right?”
You fiddled with the blanket you had over your legs and hummed quietly, your eyes feeling dry from all the tears you had shed until then. “Yeah… I’m just not too sure if it’s a good thing, honestly.”
”Why?”
To you it felt self-explanatory, so you sighed. “You know, just the whole deal of seeing him regularly while being smitten by him yet knowing he likes someone else, and knowing that he knows how I feel.”
Your friend was quiet for a moment. ”…Okay, that does sound awful. Will you be okay?”
You chuckled quietly, with a sad hint to it. “I’ll try to be.”
From there on, you began talking about other things little by little, and your best friend did their best to get your thoughts elsewhere, although you found many things reminding you of Wonwoo.
Your heart ached: you knew that crushes would come and go and it wasn’t the end of the world, but you had never felt as good and safe with anyone before as you did with him. You wanted to be with him, and not just as friends, and knowing that that wouldnät be happening was a bitter pill to swallow.
The thought that maybe you weren’t meant to be only tore your heart apart more.
The next day, you and Wonwoo went to visit a museum like you had agreed to some days earlier. It was for a class, and you didn’t really have any better options for company than him, so you didn’t want to cancel it.
You arrived to the museum first, and felt feelings mix inside of you when you saw the familiar face appearing from amidst of people, as charming as ever. Your heart fluttered a little yet it also made you feel uncomfortably anxious.
“I’m not late, am I?” Wonwoo asked with a smile, and you shook your head, a small smile on your face, too.
“No, right on time,” you assured him and took a deep breath in order to mentally prepare yourself for the time you’d spend in the museum with him. Wonwoo looked at you curiously, as if making sure you were okay without actually asking you about it. You sighed and turned away from him, facing the museum instead. “Let’s go.”
He nodded readily, and with that you entered the museum and got your tickets, after which you were able to enter the showcase.
You walked to one of the items on display and jolted when you felt Wonwoo’s hand on your shoulder.
“Are you okay?” he asked quietly, his voice surprisingly soft, and you nodded hastily despite the lump in your throat.
The last thing you needed was him worrying about you, not to mention be as sweet to you as he was.
“I’m fine,” you said quickly and got his hand off your shoulder, forcing a small smile to your face as you looked at him. “Don’t worry.”
Wonwoo nodded slowly, unconvinced, and watched you walk to another item. He sighed quietly and shook his head. ’How can I not worry..?’
The museum trip was, in one word, painful. He seemed to be treating you like the world’s most delicate flower, and it only upset you more.
Since he wasn’t returning your feelings, did he really have to be so sweet? Did he not realize how badly that was exactly what you craved from him, but not with the circumstances you were in?
It simply felt like rubbing salt into your wounds.
When you were leaving the museum, you sighed, and Wonwoo hummed in question.
“You’re too nice,” you said quietly, and Wonwoo nodded slowly.
“I’m sorry,” he mumbled, and there was an odd, small pout on his lips. “I just don’t want to make you feel worse.”
The sweetness of his voice and words nearly had your eyes welling up with tears, and you hurried to blink them away, laughing dryly, bitterness audible in your voice as you spoke. “Well, being as sweet are you have been today doesn’t help.”
He nodded again. “I know.”
You worried your lower lip between your teeth. “I think we should just… not see for a while.”
“I suppose that would be for the best,” Wonwoo admitted, but it was clear that he didn’t particularly want to not see you. He loved spending time with you, and although it was a very mutual feeling, you decided to ignore it.
You needed some time to yourself, away from him - away from the misery of your unrequited love.
“Well then,” you began, smiling a little while taking a few steps away from him already. “See you around.”
“See you,” he said quietly and watched you leave the museum.
God, the guilt was ripping his heart apart.
Upon arriving home, you let out a deep sigh.
“I made it,” you whispered to yourself, but bit down on your lower lip when your eyes began stinging with tears, and soon you were wiping them with your forefingers. The memory of Wonwoo’s concerned expression was too much, as was how awfully comfortable his hand had felt on your shoulder. “Stupid Wonwoo…”
Your phone buzzed in your bag, and you took it out, only for your heart to jump to your throat.
’I’m really sorry for everything, Y/N. I know you want some time for yourself and I’ll give you that, but… I really want to stay as friends with you. You’re very important to me, and I don’t want to lose you over this.
- Wonwoo’
Your heart was beating fast in your chest, and the hand you were holding your phone with was shaking a little.
’I want to be your friend, too, but right now I… don’t know if I have it in me. I like you too much. I need space.’
Before his reply came in, you went to your living room and curled up on the couch.
’I understand. Hit me up when things are better, okay?’
You sent him a simple reply in form of ‘Ok’ and put your phone away. Your heart was aching, and as you shut your eyes, you felt tears leave them.
There was nothing you wanted more than to be with Wonwoo, whether it was to just sit by his side or hug him or something like that, yet in order to cool down your feelings, that was the last thing you should be doing.
You could only wish he would actually let you be alone until you were ready to see him again, and hopefully by then he would no longer have the ability to make your heart flutter.
Much to your misfortune, Wonwoo didn’t exactly let you be. You occasionally got pictures of Bongbong from him, as well as a few messages about the books he had been reading and movies he had been watching, and while he left you alone in class, he did message you regarding a project you were doing together.
You stared at all the messages, wondering if he had misunderstood what it meant to let you be.
Sat, 2:14pm: ‘I just finished reading this one book, and it was really good. You should read it sometime, too, I can lend it.’
Sun, 6:15pm: ‘The movie based on the book we read together is coming out soon. We should go see it.’
Mon, 6:55am: ‘Good morning, Y/N. The sun is shining brightly today, and it reminded me of you. I hope you have a good day.’
Tues, 3:57pm: ‘Wonwoo sent you a photo: Bongbong misses you. It’s broken all the toys and won’t stop whining haha.’
Thurs, 7:02pm: ‘The deadline of the project is next Friday. How should we divide the remaining work?’
You had yet to answer any of them, nor any of the messages sent before them, but the last one you knew you’d have to answer sooner or later, since it was about school. Typing a reply, you soon hit send. ’I can do the slides and research, if you want to do the writing.’
It had been a week into not seeing Wonwoo, and while you had thought it would take your thoughts off him, the effect seemed to be the opposite. Even if he hadn’t messaged you, you found your mind drifting to him more and more often, thinking about what he was doing, if he was sleeping enough, and other trivial things.
Your phone buzzed, and you stared at the simple reply emptily.
’I miss you.’
As anxiety and sadness washed over you in a wave of hot and cold, you typed fast. ’Get over it.’
He replied just as fast.
’I can’t.’
You frowned, and if it hadn’t been an active conversation of a kind, you would’ve just put your phone away and slept over it rather than followed your impulses. ’Go out with Mingyu or something, just let me be.’
This time he took a bit more to reply, and when he did, you felt air leave your lungs.
’Why would I go out with him when I want to go out with you?’
Before you were able to even start typing, he already sent another message.
’I’ve been thinking a lot these days, and when you’re ready, I really want to see you.’
You spent a moment just thinking about it, processing Wonwoo’s words, and then wrote back to him. ’Maybe tomorrow.’
He agreed with it, and you agreed to meet at the café you had been to early on in your friendship.
The next day, you made your way to the café with your heart racing in your chest, unsure of what was waiting for you yet prepared for the worst.
Once you had arrived there, you spotted Wonwoo by the table you used to sit at, and joined him there. He jolted when he saw you, and smiled while standing up.
“It’s good to see you again,” he said, and was about to stroke your arm, only stopping when you shook your head timidly. His smile faltered a little, but it didn’t leave his face. “Let’s go order.”
You went to queue up, made your orders and soon returned to the table, sitting on either side of the table.
“You sounded like you had something to say,” you said quietly, looking at the pastry in front of you and slowly moving your eyes up to Wonwoo when you could faintly see him nod.
“It’s about your confession,” he said, his voice the slightest bit shaky, and smiled a little.
You winced. “I’m not sure if I want to talk about it.”
He shook his head, a smile still playing on his lips. “Just hear me out.”
Sighing, you nodded. Did you have any other choice? “Alright.”
Wonwoo cleared his throat and linked his hands on the table. “I said I’ve been thinking, right?” You nodded. “Well, I’ve been thinking about your confession, and you, and us.”
Your eyebrows knitted momentarily. “What about us?”
He looked into your eyes warmly, his voice soft as he spoke, his nose crinkling from the brightness of his smile. “I like you, Y/N. And it took me awfully long to realize it.”
You could feel your heart fluttering, and you hated it. It was too good to be true. With a shaky voice, you spoke, frowning. “What about Mingyu?”
“I found out he doesn’t swing this way,” Wonwoo chuckled and shook his head. “And really, we don’t have anything in common. He likes dogs, and only tolerates Bongbong because we’re friends, although I’m not sure what brought that about, either. We don’t even share our taste in music or movies or books or anything.”
Confusion was filling you all over - was Wonwoo really saying what you thought he was?
“You, however…” Wonwoo continued, his voice even softer as his smile grew even warmer. “We have a lot in common. We get along. We always have fun together. We care about each other. You like Bongbong and it likes you, and so do I.”
Your heart beat fast, this time in a much nicer way than during the past weeks, but you found yourself still skeptical. “A-are you sure you’re not confusing liking with just… friendly feelings?”
He shook his head and reached for your hands. “I’ve wanted to hold your hands for a while now. I’ve been wondering how soft your lips are, and I’ve wanted to hug you tightly, press your head to my chest and all that. I don’t think I’m confused in the least, but you tell me.”
A small, happy smile began climbing to your face as you held Wonwoo’s hands, too. “And it’s not just because Mingyu doesn’t like guys?”
He chuckled and shook his head. “I figured out I liked you before he said he had gotten himself a girlfriend, so no.”
Your smile widened as anxiety and fear started leaving you, and instead you were filled with the feelings of warmth and excitement, as well as the butterflies you used to have before you had found out Wonwoo didn’t, at the time, like you back.
Suddenly he cupped your cheek and you blinked as he rubbed your skin with his thumb gently, his eyes sparkling with happiness as he looked into your eyes. “Would you like to go out with me? As in, on a date.”
You nodded readily and lowered his hand slowly from your cheek, keeping it in your hands. “I’d love to.”
From there on it felt like all your daydreams were coming true. You moved slowly, of course, as the two of you still got to know each other more romantically, but you did hold hands starting from the very moment he confessed to you.
His hand felt perfect with yours, and the warmth of his body against yours whenever you hugged felt so safe and pleasant that you never wanted to part.
Your first few dates were a lot of fun: you went to the movies as per usual, worked on school assignments and hung out together, playing with Bongbong and so forth. Not much changed between the two of you, besides that you started touching each other a lot more often and a lot more shamelessly.
It wasn’t a rare sight to see you hugging at the university, either, although you wanted to hide every time Mingyu or someone else walked by and teased the two of you about it.
The first night that you stayed over at his place, which was a few weeks into your relationship, Wonwoo leaned closer to you on the floor, where you were playing with Bongbong, by then much bigger than the day Wonwoo had taken it in. You turned to look at him in amusement while petting the cat, and felt Wonwoo’s arm wrap around your shoulders.
“So…” he began with a low chuckle, and you giggled, too. Bringing his other hand to your face to get your chin between his forefinger and thumb, he turned your head better towards himself, lifting your face in the process. “How soft are your lips?”
While butterflies flew in your stomach and your heart picked up the pace at which it was beating, you giggled, slightly nervous, and raised your eyebrows meaningfully. “I think you’ll have to try and find out.”
Little by little, Wonwoo leaned close enough to bring your lips together into a light, affectionate kiss that made you see fireworks and feel oh, so loved.
When Wonwoo pulled away, he grinned and pecked your forehead. “Pretty soft.”
You laughed and leaned against him, closing your eyes and letting out a quiet, happy sigh while Bongbong climbed between your crossed legs and got comfortable there.
Despite the obstacles on the way, you were infinitely happy you had ended up where you were: by Wonwoo’s side and in his arms, able to call yourself the person he treasured while treasuring him just as much.
And because you had been wondering about the softness of his lips, too, you used it as your excuse to steal another kiss from him a moment later, laughing when you pulled back. “Not soft at all.”
He looked at you with a wide smile, mock offended, and clicked his tongue. “Oh, I’ll show you.”
Wonwoo gave you another kiss, and yet another, and both of you smiled into them, laughing a little, too.

Hit n Run [BONGLENI]
XXV. Stay With Me
"May pupuntahan ka ba?" Bongbong asked Leni as she seemed to be in hurry. "Oo, kuhaan ng cards nila Natalia ngayon sa school." She checked herself in the mirror and fixed her hair with her hands.
She walked towards Bongbong to give him a goodbye kiss before she leaves but he grabs her waist and started kissing her neck making her giggle. "Okay...? Mahal... Aalis na ako." She told him but he didn't stop. "Mahal, kukunin ko a yung report card ni Natalia ng twelve. Eleven na o." She chuckled with his yearning for her. "Miss na kase kita, mahal." He seduced her.
"Okay.... Sige. Okay... Hindi naman ako mapapgalitan kung hindi ko makukuha yung card ni Natalia ngayong araw." She chuckled. He looked at her with a smirk. "Really?" He sounded so ecstatic. She smiled at him as a sign of her approval.
He abruptly lifted her and brought her to the bed and started to make out. She kept giggling. "Di ka makapaghintay talaga noh?"
"No. Sobrang miss na miss na kase kita talaga e." He replied and resumed kissing her neck, sniffing her vanilla mixed with floral scent. She felt slight chills with his subtle neck kisses. He went up to kiss her lips that she gladly reciprocated.
"Pwede ba?" He asked for a formal permission. She nodded as she knew it was safe leading them into a quick steamy moment together at her bedroom.
They sprawled beside each other catching their breaths upon ending their main course. He started to chuckle. "Bakit?" She asked. He looked at her and held her hand. "Wala naman, di parin kase ako makapaniwalang girlfriend kita." He retorted.
"Ano ba yan? Good ba yan o bad?" She asked. "It's good! I mean... You're so beautiful, so sweet, so nice, ang sexy and in bed... You're so hot. Ano pang hahanapin?!" He sounded so hyped making her blush in flattery.
"Nako, nako, Bong. Gusto mo lang yata ng round 2." She joked. "Nagsasabi lang naman ako ng totoo pero kung pwedeng round 2... Bakit hindi?" He smirked at her. "Tigang 'to." She joked and kissed him.
Leni looked twice as she saw Bongbong looking at him while they were watching late at night. "May dumi ba ako sa muka?" She asked. "Wala naman." He smiled. "Oh? Eh bakit ganyan ka makatingin?" She wondered. "Naalala ko lang kase yung unang beses kitang nakita sa ospital." He began. She muted the television and liked that he was reminiscing.
"Yung unang beses na nakita talaga kita e... Sabi ko ang ganda nitong babaeng 'to, ikakama ko 'to kahit anong mangyari. Di ko akalain na maiinlove pala ako na parang ùlol tapos girlfriend pa kita ngayon." He shared and hugged her tight. "Asus! Pero hindi talaga maganda yung opening natin e." She recalled.
"Well. I admit. That was a bad approach but what's important is because of that, I had you. I never felt this good, yung ganito ka-seryoso sa babae, sayo lang talaga." He retorted. She smiled at him with her cheeks turning flushed.
"And sobrang thankful rin naman ako." She replied disregarding their bad start.
He sighed sharply. "Leni, hindi mo alam kung gaano kita kamahal. Di ko nga alam kung kaya kong makita kang umiiyak o nasasaktan." He confided. "E di wag mo ako saktan." She replied softly. "I can't promise that but I will do my best not to. I'm gonna try dahil mahal kita." He stated and laid down on her lap.
"Ako naman... In return lang... Pangako ko sayo na ikaw lang ang mamahalin ko, magiging loyal ako sa'yo whatever happens, Ferdinand Romualdez- Marcos Jr." She played his hair while her other hand holding him.
"You're perfect." He uttered. "I love you so so so so much a hundred times, to the moon and back, infinity and beyond." He hyperbolized as his feelings for her overflew.
He tilted his trunk upwards to initiate a kiss which she equated. They smiled at each other upon breaking off from the kiss.
Bongbong noticed that Leni seems to be thinking deeply while staring at him. "Bakit?" He asked. "Wala naman, iniisip ko lang kung anong pwedeng gawin sa birthday mo." She confessed.
"Iniisip mo na agad yan?" He chuckled. "Oo, ang hirap kaya mag-isip. Ano pa bang wala ka na kaya kong bilhin..." She complained. "You have everything." She added.
"Gift wrap mo sarili mo." He joked. "... Tapos lumabas ka sa malaking cake ng naka-lingerie lang." He smirked. "Sus! Puro ka talaga kabaliwan noh?" She joked. "Mmm." He raised his eyebrows and looked at her hastily. "Baliw sayo." He seduced her. "Tumigil ka nga diyan." She laughed.
"I don't think I like any material things..." He started to think too. "Exactly!" She replied.
"Nagawa narin natin sa lahat. Sa bedroom, sa office, sa sofa, sa kitchen, sa parking lot... Sa woods, sa kotse, sa pool..." He hinted her. "Bong?!" She turned pink.
"How about sa bed of money? Or kaya sa blank canvas tapos lagyan natin ng paint yung katawan natin?" He suggested.
"Gusto mong gawin natin sa birthday mo?!" She asked. "Sino bang may ayaw?" He replied.
"Eh...? Pwede naman natin yan gawin anytime pero yan parin gusto mo sa birthday mo?" She asked.
"Oo but I demand a creative and thrilling kind." He smirked. "Jusko, Bong." She joked.
"Pero... Sabi mo pwede natin gawin anytime?" He asked. She looked at him. "So can we do it... Now? Shower?" He suggested naughtily.
"Bong..." She glared at him. "Shower tayo, mahal." He uttered smoothly. "Bong, ikaw ha." She made a side smile at him. He took her by the hand and lead her to the hot steamy shower.
"Punta tayo sa hardware ngayon." Leni suggested. "Eh, bukas nalang." Bongbong replied. "Sira na yung door knob ng banyo o." She retorted.
"Okay lang yan, lock mo nalang yung pinto ng kwarto kapag maliligo ka. Wala namang sisilip..." He replied.
"... Maliban saakin." He smirked. She scowled at him. "Bakit kase pinahawak mo ako sa door knob na yan e." She complained. "Para hindi ka ma-off balance kase alam mo naman di ko mapigilan ang sarili ko pagdating sa'yo." He sounded so proud.
"Ang dami nitong alam. Wala nang shower session sa susunod. Jusko." She promised. "Ha? Bakit?! Ang hot kaya!" He disagreed. "Sige na, bibili na ako ng matibay na door knobs." He pleaded in a joking manner.
"Desperado talaga 'to." She chuckled. "Sige na, please?" He winked at her.
"Kung di lang talaga kita mahal at hindi ka..." She hanged. "...cute." She continued.
"Oh.... Cute pala ako?" He grilled in. "Ha? Hindi—" She denied. "Deh, kakasabi mo lang e!" He refused to approve her denial. He grabbed her and cuddled her.
"I love you, mahal." She uttered. "I love you more, mahal." He replied riding in with her humor.
Bongbong has been excelling a lot in his career ever since he got back with Leni. He felt so inspired and energized to think and work because of her. It made Gina annoyed as she felt challenged to surpass Bongbong's contribution. The bosses of Rocos are extremely amused by his progress and contributions as well and it made them personally like Leni for Bongbong.
Leni went to Bongbong's office to inform him about the letter she got from the HR department.
"Ano 'to?" He asked. "Ipopromite daw nila akong clerk admin!" She shared. "Sobrang grabe! Pinromote nila ako!" She cheered. "Sabi nila tataas daw sweldo ko ng 2-4%." She sounded so hyped but it faded as she saw Bongbong's reaction.
"Mahal. Okay ka lang?" She asked. "Uh... Oo. I'm glad to know..." He replied. She wondered why he seemed bothered about the news. "Hindi ka ba masaya para saakin?" She asked.
"Well..." He sighed. "It's just that... Clerk admins stays at the Cebu branch." He stated. It sank slowly to her where he was coming from.
They would have separate working place if she'll sign the promotion offer. She also recalled that he'll be working on a huge project with a Davao based company, he would be too busy in the incoming months and they would have less time together. The room was swarmed with silence as they bought thought about it. Leni wanted the promotion but she doesn't wanna be away from Bongbong.
"But it would be great if you'll take it. Pwede namang weekends ang bonding time natin." He smiled at her to relieve her stress. "We can compromise. Alam ko namang mahalaga sayo 'tong promotion na 'to." He continued. "Thank you, mahal." She smiled and hugged him tight.
As Leni rested alone at home, she started to think about the promotion offer. The deadline of the offer is this coming Friday, it's already Wednesday and she has to decide already whether to take it or not.
The next day, Bongbong was busy typing his proposals for the incoming projects at his office when Leni entered.
"Hey." She greeted quietly and kissed him in the cheek. "Mmm? Napadaan ka?" He looked so happy to see her thinking he won't see her that frequent anymore once she transfers to Rocos Cebu.
"May sasabihin kase sana ako sa'yo." She began making him a bit nervous. "Ano yon?" He replied.
"Napag-isip isip ko na kase yung sa promotion kagabi..." She hanged for a moment. He was eager to hear her news.
"... Hindi ko nalang kukunin." She continued largely surprising.
"Ha? Bakit?" He asked. "Kase... Mapapalayo ako sayo. Mababawasan yung oras natin. Eh... Naisip ko kase mas mahalaga yung oras natin kesa sa maliit na salary increase na yon." She tried to make a point.
"But... You wanted this, right?" He asked. "Kung papalagpasin mo 'tong chance na 'to dahil lang iniisip mo ako, I think you should take it. We can make it work." He smiled at her.
"Ayoko kasing mapalayo sayo." She replied making him touched. He paused for a moment and looked at her.
"Leni, ayoko rin mapalayo sayo..." He retorted. "Pero ayoko rin na maging hadlang sa pangarap mo." He continued.
"Oo, aaminin ko, pangarap ko talagang mapromote, magkaroon ng mas mataas na sweldo pero pangarap rin kita e." She replied flashing a soft smile. He sighed as he felt more in love with her.
"Ako rin." He uttered. "If you only know how much I love you, Leni." He grabbed her for a hug, she hugged him back tightly.
"I love you too." She whispered. "And dito lang ako sa tabi mo lagi." She smiled at him.
"I'll make myself worth the stay. I promise." He replied.

Jihoon, Soonyoung, and Seungkwan were the last ones to arrive at the merry-go-round, stopping at the group and trying to catch their breath from running from the edge of the park. Seungkwan fell back to the ground, staring up at the night sky while he swore under his breath about being ‘too out of shape for this shit’.
“What the fuck is going on?” Jihoon demanded through his panting, his hands on his knees as he glared up at the group.
“We don’t know!” Wonwoo insisted. “_____ got lost in the funhouse, Sol and I sent Josh and Hao into get them, and _____ says they were being chased by Eight before they were rescued. Then that thing showed up at the exit so we ran!”
“We saw Serenity at the ferris wheel,” Seungcheol nodded. “Jun thought its eyes were just pretty blinking lights.”
“Yeah, well the fucking Tony the Tiger knockoff tried to kill us at the rollercoaster!” Seungkwan huffed, pushing himself to sit up on the pavement.
“We had the pleasure of seeing Bongbong and almost getting run over by the fucking thing,” Jeonghan muttered, his arms still crossed over his chest. It was obvious him and Chan were still angry about whatever they argued about -- Seokmin had briefly and quietly explained that the pair got into it because Chan was sick of the baby jokes while Jeonghan didn’t want to listen to him -- but you didn’t bother getting into it.
Minghao held his hands out to stop his friends from speaking, “We need to get out of here. Even I can admit shit isn’t right here.”
“There was the breach in the fence we snuck in from,” Chan recalled.
“Assuming we can still find it,” Mingyu said.
“Maybe there’s a faster way out somewhere?” Soonyoung suggested with a shrug. “I just really don’t want to be here anymore.”
“I don’t think any of us do, dude,” you said with a dry laugh.

“Considering Jeonghan and Jihoon would probably rather die than try to hop the fence--”
“Count me in that group,” Wonwoo scoffed quietly.
“--I think our best bet is finding a hole somewhere,” you concluded, side-eyeing Wonwoo. “Chan’s right, there’s gotta be a way in since other people have broken in before.”
“Yeah, if you wanted to hop the fence, I’d just go back home,” Jeonghan admitted, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Let’s just split up in the groups we came in,” Hansol suggested. “That’ll be easier than deciding who goes with who. Chan, Kwan, and I will run toward the back to see if there’s anything over there.”
“We’ll go around to the left and meet Sol if we don’t find anything,” you volunteered, making Seungcheol sigh deeply.
“Hell yeah! Let’s go on an adventure,” Soonyoung grinned before excitedly leading the way around the fence, leaving the other two groups to search more in the front parts.

“Everybody in?” Seungcheol asked. “Headcount!”
After Seungcheol listed off every name in the group chat and thankfully got a response, he seemed to visibly relax. Despite all the flashlights, it was risky using them to explore the food court -- especially considering it took 30+ minutes to find a hole in the fence, and some of the group were using flashlights from their house that had previously been used. So there was no telling how long their batteries would last, and that was risky.
But before moving forward with deciding what to do next, the group shone their lights around the main room. The food court at Caratland wasn’t so much a food court as it was a ‘restaurant’ for lack of a better word, that supplied quickly made burgers, hot dogs, fries, pizza, and sandwiches and kept them warm under heat lamps for people to freely take before going to the register to pay. However, it did have multiple rooms to sit and keep kids busy while parents ate, or to keep kids distracted and in their seats while the parents forced them to finally eat lunch. Seeing the place brought back memories you forgot you even had.
“The food here sucked so bad,” Jeonghan noted.
“But we thought it was good back then,” Minghao chuckled.
“Oh god!” Junhui gasped, falling backwards into Seokmin and Jeonghan.
The group turned to where he was looking. There, stood the main mascot of Caratland: Bongbong. Well, an animatronic of him, which was still admittedly creepy as hell to see standing in the dark and collecting dust and cobwebs -- not as many as you would’ve thought, but you recalled others had broken in before you and your friends.
Bongbong was a large, white and pink...thing that had a blue, oddly-shaped thing coming out of its giant head. You weren’t really sure what Bongbong was supposed to be, but you knew the creators of Bongbong must’ve been aiming for ‘cute’. Either way, you could never tell what Bongbong was, but you recalled that Bongbong was the animatronic that hung out in the main room of the food court because it was the main mascot for the park.
There were four mascots in total: Bongbong, Horanghae, Eight, and Serenity. Serenity was another mystery creature, but you could at least tell it was an animal. It was an odd cat-fox thing that was blue, and the same shade of pink as Bongbong. Eight was a pink frog, while Horanghae was a white tiger with blue stripes. And all four of them were placed in different rooms: Bongbong in the main room, Horanghae and Serenity on the stage together, and Eight in the playroom.
You wished you remembered all of that before coming in here and having Jun yell and then have at least half the group scream at what they saw.
“Jesus, I fucking forgot that thing existed,” Mingyu said as he relaxed from his stance that clearly said he was ready to fight whatever it was in the room with you.
“Okay, maybe it’s a good time to suggest we find some lights,” Joshua decided. “Who wants to go find the power?”
Of course, nobody was too keen on volunteering, so everyone decided to nominate 4 people to go into the basement to search for the breaker room.

“This shouldn’t even be a question!” Seungcheol huffed. He grabbed Soonyoung by the back of his shirt and began tugging him the way you and the other three boys had disappeared. “Mingyu, Josh, c’mon.”
“What? Why me?” Mingyu whined.
“Because you’re our resident himbo,” Josh replied as he grabbed Mingyu by the arm and pulled him along.
“Have fun getting pranked,” Jeonghan called after them.
“Isn’t it the stupid ones that die first in movies?” Junhui asked out loud, not realizing the weight his words would have on the younger boy.
As Mingyu began to panic, Joshua scoffed, “You’re gonna be fine, Gyu. Soonyoung’s the stupid one.”
Then Soonyoung began to panic, thrashing in Seungcheol’s grip as the oldest tried to calm him down between cursing out Josh.
The door was left open and there wasn’t any light coming from the basement except the faint glow of one of the red emergency lights around the corner. The four of them paused at the top of the stairs, staring down into the darkness. Soonyoung tried to turn around and walk away, but Seungcheol stopped him by grabbing the sleeve of his jacket.
“It’s fine,” Seungcheol said, also trying to reassure himself that nobody got hurt in the basement. He took a deep breath before stepping down on the first step. “Let’s go.”
-
“How mean would it be to prank them?” you wondered as Hansol studied all of the switches in the metal box.
Jihoon let out a snort, looking up from his phone, “Honestly, it would be kinda funny. Half of them would probably lose it.”
“Stop replying,” Wonwoo snickered, putting his phone away and focusing on helping with the lights.
“Wait,” Hansol paused, his fingers resting on one of the black switches as he turned his head to look at the three of you, “let’s tell them we found the lights and then shut ours off. We stop replying, we don’t go back up after they’re fixed. We scream, freak ‘em out, and wait for chaos.”
“Sol, you’re more evil than I thought,” you smirked, giving him a gentle nudge.
Hansol reported they’d found the emergency lights before flicking the switch on. The room in the basement was suddenly flooded with red that made all of you furrow your brows. It made everything look more ominous and, admittedly, was worse than just being in complete darkness.
“This is awful,” Jihoon said quietly.
“Shh,” you told him, shutting your flashlight off.
The four of you moved away from the box, deciding to hide around the corner of the stairs in case they did come looking for you. You all strained your ears to listen, but you couldn’t hear them talking. So you silently counted down from three before all of you let out screams and yells that sounded like you could’ve been getting murdered. You had to slap both hands over your mouth to keep from laughing, picturing how half of them must’ve been freaking out.
Finally, after a moment of not hearing anything, you heard Seungcheol say, “This shouldn’t even be a question!”
“Were they not going to look for us?” Wonwoo whispered, sounding offended.
“They deserve this, then,” Jihoon shrugged.
-
The four descended the stairs cautiously, shining their flashlights.
“_____?” Seungcheol softly called into the darkness. “Wonwoo? Sol? Jihoon?”
The four went to round the corner, but were stopped when something popped out of the darkness and screamed.
The four boys screamed as well, huddling together as they tried to process what had come out in front of their flashlights.
Wonwoo, Jihoon, Hansol, and you.
“What the fuck, guys!” Seungcheol growled once he’d regained his composure.
The four of you burst out into fits of laughter and giggles as Mingyu covered his face and sat down on the steps. Soonyoung simply fell on the floor, clutching his chest as he tried to steady his breathing again. Joshua seemed the only one amused by the joke, trying to laugh off how scared he was.
“Get the fuck back upstairs,” Seungcheol ordered, “and shut the emergency lights off. They’re scaring Seungkwan and Seokmin.”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” you giggled, waving his concern away as Hansol went back to the switches and shut them off, only to hear Seokmin shriek from upstairs.
“Wow, you’re all so easy to scare,” Wonwoo noted as the eight of you went back up the stairs to join the group. “Maybe tonight will actually be kinda fun.”
-
As your group approached the rest of your friends, Jeonghan smirked from where he was sitting on a table, “Sounds like your adventure went well.”
“Fuck off, Jeonghan,” Seungcheol grumbled. “Let’s just get out of here.”
“Yeah, there’s not much to see in here,” Chan agreed.
“And Bongbong’s creeping me out,” Seungkwan whispered, pointing at the lifeless animatronic behind him.
Minghao pushed himself away from the tables and stood up, walking toward the door, “If we could get the emergency lights to turn on in here, maybe we can get the ferris wheel working. That would be a cool place to take pictures.”
All of you made your way to the doors you’d entered through, only to be met with a thudding noise as Minghao tried to pull them open.
“Very funny, guys,” he sighed. “Your little prank in the basement was probably cute and all, but go unlock the doors.”
“Um... We didn’t lock them,” Hansol shrugged.
“_____, go fix the doors,” Seungcheol ordered in almost a growl.
“Cheol, I swear, it wasn’t us!” you insisted, putting your hands up in surrender.
“We seriously didn’t do anything,” Jihoon promised.
“So then why are we locked in all of a sudden?” Jeonghan quizzed.
“We’re stuck?!” Seungkwan cried.
Minghao tried the doors again but they wouldn’t budge. Jeonghan urged Mingyu forward to try, only for nothing to happen, either. Seungcheol then stepped forward, but they still didn’t open.
Seokmin clung to the nearest person -- which happened to be you -- whimpering, “We’re stuck in here with Bongbong! We’re gonna die!”
»»————- ————-««
ALTERNATE ENDING: If nobody had gone to check on you and the others in the basement, they would’ve eventually heard another scream but even louder and more panicked. So then they would’ve gone to the basement to search, only to find the basement completely empty. They wouldn’t see any of you for the rest of the night, presuming something bad happened to the four of you. They’d try to leave the food court out of fear, only to find the doors are locked.

Hit n Run [BONGLENI]
XXIV. You Changed Him
Leni has been texting Bongbong since the afternoon but he wasn't replying. She decided to visit him in his place to check if he was fine.
She entered his room and saw him sitting on his workarea. "Hey." He called as he saw her. "Napadaan ka yata?" He asked.
"Wala naman, di mo kase sinasagot mga tawag ko, pati sa text, nag-alala lang ako." She replied. He sighed. "Sorry, stress lang. May mga kapalpakan kase sa Hatchel." He apologized. She walked closer to him and gave him a back rub.
"Mahal... Alam mo namang kung may problema ka, nandito lang ako. Pinag-aalala mo naman ako e." She stated. He took her hand and kissed it. "Sorry... Ayoko lang na mag-rant pa sayo about how bad my day is. Ayoko naman sirain din ang araw mo." He stroked her hand with his thumb.
Leni sighed and sat on his lap whilst her arms around his neck. "Mahal naman... Kaya mo nga ako girlfriend 'di ba. Kung hindi man maganda yung araw mo, gusto ko nandito ako para baguhin yon. Kung hindi maganda yung pakiramdam mo, gusto ko ako yung mag-aalalaga sayo kaya kapag may problema ka, sabihin mo lang, okay?" She asserted, he nodded quietly. "Mahal..." She uttered and he looked at her in the eye she was smiling at him, it somehow relieved his bad mood. "I love you." She uttered and kissed him.
"I love you too." He smiled. "I love you more." She pressed her forehead against his. "I love you most." He kissed the tip of her nose causing the blush in her face.
"Pano ko naman matatalo yan?" She asked. "Hindi mo kaya because I love you more than you could ever love me." He bragged. "Hmmm! Sige na, pero i love you parin." She declared.
Bongbong felt so thankful for her being around him. She makes his day brighter effortlessly when he never thought it could get any better. She was like the light of his day and the love of his life.
"Di ko alam e, ayokong makagawa ng kahit ano na hindi niya magugustuhan. Ang lakas talaga ng tama ko e. I never felt this much emotions for someone before. It's a little scary." Bongbong shared to Martin. "But it's good." He added. "Masarap sa pakiramdam, di ba?" Martin replied with a grin. "Yeah." Bongbong smiled as he thought of Leni.
Martin couldn't help but be amused with how much Leni made Bongbong affectionate and caring. He never imagined seeing his best friend so in love to anyone as much as she made him love her and it was wonderful how Leni reciprocated the love he offers her. It was beautiful, their relationship is flawless. They were like a match made in heaven.
Leni was organizing Bongbong's dresser when he got back from work. "Grabeng pagod." Bongbong complained and sprawled at his bed. She looked at him and he was looking back.
"O, bakit?" She asked as she found it weird why he was looking at her that way. "Wala naman. Ang ganda mo lang kase." He felt so fascinated. "Asus..." She pursed her lips to conceal her blushing.
She laid beside him and started to cuddle him. "Kawawa naman ang baby ko, pagod..." She placed a couple of soft kisses on his face. "Kaya nga e, charge mo nga ako." He smirked at her, she looked at him for hints.
"Loko loko!" She punched his chest lightly in a joking manner. "Aray naman!" He chuckled. "Di pa nga tayo kasal nakakaranas na agad ako ng domestic violence." He made her laugh. "Ang kapal ha?"
As their laughs faded out, Bongbong gently grabbed and placed a kiss on her lips. They gazed at each other's eyes upon breaking from the sweet smooch.
He moved his hand beneath her shirt and cupped her bare waist. "I love you, mahal." He uttered with his deep and whole voice. "I love you too." She replied and pulled him closer by grabbing his nape and pushing him for a tender kiss.
"Mmm..." She mumbled interrupting the heat as she recalled something. "Bakit?" He asked. "Di pala ako pwede." She twitched her lips. "Ano... Active si baby making cells." She aimed to inform him in a pleasing way. He cackled with the way she said it.
"Okay..." He was still chuckling. "Bakit ka tumatawa diyan?" She blushed in embarrassment. "Wala! Bakit kase baby making cells?" He chortled. "Eh kase, sorry naman!" She turned red and laughed.
"Pero pwede naman cuddle ganon... Tapos touch touch ng konti?" She retracted her lips flashed a big smile at him. "Mmm, sige nga." He replied and initiated the deep kisses which eventually lead to make outs and passionate exchange of kisses until they've had enough and decided to sleep next to each other until the sunrise.
"Good morning." Bongbong greeted her as he felt her slightly moving. She was resting her head on his chest and hugging him tightly. She cleared out her eyes and looked at him with a smile.
"Good morning." She replied and hugged him tighter. "Boses mo sa umaga? Good morning talaga." He pulled her closer to him.
He took her hand and filled the gaps of her fingers with his. He loved holding her hands, it made him feel so contented and it was hard to explain for him how good it feels whenever their hands touch each other.
"Nilalaro mo nanaman yung kamay ko." She uttered as she watched him create different strokes on her hands. He tittered and continued holding her. "Di ko alam, ang sarap kase hawakan ng kamay mo... Parang may butterflies sa tiyan ko." He said as if he was floating. Leni held him back and looked at him.
"Then hold me forever." She replied as they stared at each other with their eyes filled with so much love.
It was so adorable how Imelda and Imee liked Natalia upon meeting her. As much as how Leni and Bongbong were like match made in heaven, their families liked each other so much.
Natalia loved Imelda and Imee as well and treated them like her own mother and aunt.
"Pwede ko po ba kayong tawaging mommy?" She asked Imelda. "Kase po kung mommy po kayo ni kuya Bongbong tapos parang mommy rin po kayo ni ate, e di parang mommy ko narin po kayo." She elaborated making them chuckle.
"Well, kahit di pa kasal si Bongets at ang ate mo, you can call me mommy already." Imelda replied ecstatically making them laugh. "Tapos tita Imee nalang po tatawag ko sainyi." She added making Imee blush. "Okay!" She agreed and hugged her.
"Napakasweet mong bata, para kang ate mo." Imelda complimented. "Ay. Thank you po!" Natalia blushed.
"Kelan po ba sila uuwi?" She asked. "Di ko pa sure e, muka naman they are enjoying at the resort." Imee replied. "Saan nga sila nagbakasyon ulit?" Imelda asked.
"La Carmela, ma" She replied.
"Oh!" Imelda exclaimed as she recalled the place. La Carmela used to be her late husband's favorite place to bring her to when he was still alive. It was a hotel with an ocean front. It was very romantic and peaceful. It's quite pricey but it is worth the stay. She could imagine his son and Leni being all passionate and in love with in the place.
"That is so romantic..." Imelda uttered as she daydreamed.
"Nako ma, nagrereminisce ka nanaman." Imee stated. "Naaalala ko lang kami ng papa mo kay Bongets at Leni." She smiled sweetly.
"Excited na po talaga akong maging tita." Natalia uttered randomly upon imagining Leni and Bongbong having a baby. Imelda and Imee chuckled.
"Gusto mo na magkapamangkin?" Imelda asked. "Opo, gwapo po si kuya Bongets tapos maganda si ate, for sure ang ganda ng anak nila. Cute yung mga baby!" She squealed.
It was common date day, Leni invited Bongbong to stroll around the Valentines day carnival of City of Dreams. They ate their breakfast at the hotel and continued walking around the place.
Bongbong was busy exploring the carnival with his sight. "Mahal." Leni called his attention. He looked at her and saw her holding a heart shaped cotton candy.
"For you." She pursed her lips and turned red. He chuckled at her sweetness and took the cotton candy from her. "Puso mo ba 'to?" He asked.
"Oo, puso ko yan. Iyong iyo na." She replied. He took a bite of the cotton candy. "Mmm! Ang sweet naman talaga ng puso ng mahal ko o." He smiled at her. "Ewan sayo." She blushed.
They continued walking around checking on each existing booth. Leni hopped towards the chocolate fountain and hooked in some marshmallows on her stick and fed Bongbong some of it. "Masarap?" She was giggling while feeding him. "Oo, matamis." He smiled and kissed her forehead. "Wag kang magkakakain masyado ng matatamis, tataba ka niyan." He joked.
"Kapag ba mataba na ako aayaw ka na?" She asked. He curled his forehead. "Of course not! Whether your fat or thin, black or white... O kung ano man. I'll love you as long as you are Leni." He replied making her cheeks flush.
"Mmmm!! Ang tamis talaga ng dila. Saan mo natutunan yan?" Her voice's pitch escalated. "Ano ka, totoo kaya." He countered and hugged her tight.
Leni's sight wandered around. Her eyes grew, she pulled Bongbong with her and headed towards the ring toss game booth. "Uy laro tayo!" She exclaimed. "Totoo ba- o... Oh okay?" He took a few coins from his pocket and handed it over to the worker.
The worker handed them a few rings to attempt to ring it in at the red bottle in a field of many bottles. They had tons of attempt manifesting failures to win in front of each other brought happiness and laughters to them.
"Last na 'to! Kapag di pa 'to tumama ewan ko nalang!" He sounded so competitive. Leni hugged him and gave him a kiss on his cheek. "Good luck, mahal!" She cheered. He finally threw the last shot.
"Yeeeeeeees!" Leni cheered. It ringed the red bottle. Bongbong was startled in the moment. "Woah...."
"Congratulations, sir!" The worker cheered and took the huge bear as their prize.
He took it from the worker, still stunned by his win. "Lucky charm niyo yata yung kiss ni ma'am." The worker teased. Leni blushed. Bongbong looked at her with a smile.
"Para sayo yan." He handed her the huge bear. "Wo- wow! Thank you?!" She felt so flattered by his sweetness. He loved how happy she was that moment. Seeing her happy is the only thing he always wanted to see, it was his heart's food.
Meanwhile, as they were heading to the exit of the carnival, Bongbong paused from walking and looked at a certain booth. Leni wondered and walked back to him as she realized she was walking ahead. "Bakit?" She asked and trailed his sight.
Kissing Booth
He smiled flirtatiously at her. "Oy, Bong, ayoko. Nakakahiya!" She squealed. "Sige na! Daya naman nito, binigyan na nga kita ng bear." He pleaded.
"Hello sir! Try niyo po ni ma'am yung kissing booth." The worker invited them. "Ay nako, okay na po kami.." Leni replied quickly. "Uwi na tayo, mahal, go." She pulled him away.
"What? No." He cackled. "Sige nga po kami." He told the worker. He took Leni's hand and left her with no choice.
"Upo nalang po kayo sa loob pero pili po muna kayo sa packages?" The worker asked. "What are the packages?" He asked while Leni was hugging his arm and quietly listening.
"Package A gives you free eight laminated photo booth photos and two keychain with the photo of your choice for P450 po. Package B gives you eight photos, two keychain and two 14x14 pillow with the photo of your choice for P600.00 or you can avail Package C gives you the same items as package B but you'll get two mugs instead of the 14x14 pillow. All the package gives out free A4 sized photo of your choice, P550 naman po yon." The worker elaborated.
"You can also avail the individual items with your personalized photos though you can save up more with the packages. Two keychains are P300, two mugs are P495, two pillows po is P495 rin po, photo booth photos po is P250" The worker continued.
"Anong gusto mo, mahal?" Bongbong asked. "Uhm... Kahit ano, cute yug mug." Leni replied. "Okay..." He replied. "Yung package C nalang." He informed the worker.
"Osige po sir." He replied and set up the camera. "Eight shots po ha, the rule po is the last photo should be a kissing picture po." He reminded them. "Sige. Gusto niyo kiss ko pa siya every picture." He replied and chuckled upon looking at her.
"Okay... At three. One... Two... Three!" He queued.
Picture 1: Leni was hugging Bongbong while they throw in a big smile.
Picture 2: Bongbong kissing Leni's cheek with her eyes tightly closed and her mouth is pursed while smiling.
Picture 3: They were facing and glaring at each other in character.
Picture 4: Bongbong kissing Leni's nose while she's smiling.
Picture 5: Leni kissing Bongbong's cheek while hugging him tightly and he acts like he can't breathe.
Picture 6: Leni hopping on Bongbong's lap while he pouts his lips.
Picture 7: Bongbong and Leni's nose touching each other.
Picture 8: Bongbong and Leni sweetly kissing each other.
"Ang cute niyo po." The worker uttered after the picture taking ended. He started to print out the photos and handed them their items.
They laughed together as they looked at their photos. "Hala, tignan mo yung muka mo dito!" She teased. "Ito o!" He replied as they cackled together while walking.
"Uy! Ang cute nito!" Leni uttered as she looked at their printed mugs. "Cute mo dito, mahal. Walang mata." She remarked and looked at him.
"Ang cute cute talaga ng mahal ko o!" She pinched his cheek. "Cute ba? Sige nga pakiss." He grinned at her. "Sus, walang problema!" She replied and aimed to kiss his cheek but he moved his head making her accidentally kiss him on the lips.
"Huy, daya!" She faked a frown. "Kiss ops." He teased her. "Hoy grabe! Pisngi mo lang ikikiss ko e, humarap ka!" She defended. "Sus, deny pa. Gusto mo talaga ako i-kiss." He refused.
"Ang kapal, ang kapal." She chuckled. "Hindi, ninakawan mo ako ng halik, pahalik rin para mabawi ko." He demanded. "Ano?" She asked.
He abruptly kissed her lips making her stunned for a second. "Oy!" She uttered in surprise. "Yung totoo? Ninja ka ba? Hokage ka ha?" She joked. "Hokage at ikaw ang aking Konoha." He smirked as he took her hand while they continued walking.
He stole another quick kiss on her cheek. "Kita mo? Bilis 'di ba?" He uttered, she giggled with his cuteness.
Bongbong would always prepare a cute surprise for Leni during their monthsary days. He would prepare a cute dinner set up at his place and invite her in, he would wake her up next to a bed of roses, he would leave stems of rose at her desk, room, cabinet and everywhere with his little sweet messages, he has been very sweet to her. She was an ideal boyfriend and she couldn't ask for more.
During their vacation at Boracay beach inn, Leni and Bongbong went out to have a vivid sight of the sunset along with the fresh wind running through their skin.
"Grabe, ang ganda..." She uttered as she gazed at the view. He looked at the the view and looked at her next. "It is." He uttered. The strong wind rushed through them. She looked back at him and smiled. He moved and grabbed her waist as she strangled her arms around his neck.
"Thank you." She whispered to him as their foreheads were pressed against each other. "No, thank you." He retorted. "Thank you for loving me." He continued, a smile grew on her lips.
"You changed my life and made me a better person." He uttered sincere as he looked at her crystal clear green eyes.
"I love you, Leni." He kissed her and hugged her tightly like there is no more tomorrow.

Hit n Run [BONGLENI]
XVI. Mahal
Leni and Bongbong came to the office together, Martin grinned at them.
"Hey. Hey. Hey." He greeted and followed them to Bongbong's office.
"Saan galing yan?" He teased. "Ang alin?" Bongbong played innocent, Leni blushed quietly.
"Yang mga inner glow niyo." Martin pointed out with a smirk. "Get out." Bongbong laughed. "Fine! Pero you owe me something!" Martin chuckled.
"Baka mamaya may round two dito ha."
"Ha?" She uttered shyly. "Bye!" Martin went out of the office. "Sus, ganyan talaga yan, hayaan mo na." Bongbong told Leni.
They looked at each other for a while until a smile grew on their lips. He grabbed and cuddled her close. They giggled and blushed together.
"Gusto mo bang magdinner mamaya?" He asked. "Mmm... Sino bang tumatanggi sa dinner?" She replied. "Okay... Maybe a little rapture too after?" He attempted making her laugh. "Mmm! Lagi naman." She joked. He kissed her forehead before he allowed her to leave his office.
"Leni." He stopped her from the last minute before she was able to hold the knob of the door. She looked at him with her eyebrows raised. "Kiss ko?" He asked making her blush. "Kiss..?" She sounded shy.
She blew a kiss to him. He acted out to catch it and kissed his own hand making her laugh. "Baliw." She chuckled. "Baliw sa'yo." He replied.
"Grabe 'to. Sige na mauna na ako!"
He laid his back on his chair and sighed in relief. He liked what he was feeling. He felt so inspired, he felt like he is looking forward to so many things. Being like that with her; what they are now, it just made him feel all good.
Bongbong and Leni changed since Natalia's birthday. They became more passionate and concerned about each other. Bongbong stopped being rough on her. On bed, he made sure she enjoys as much as he do. He liked her to feel pleasure instead of pain. He took care of her during their nights together.
They stopped having sèx, they started to make love instead and it made them closer to each other.
They began to go on dinner, lunch and dates as well. It wasn't a part of their contract but they wanted it personally. They started to have personal conversations making them know each other a little more deeper than before.
Despite of the absence of questions and confirmation, they felt like they were in a relationship with each other. They felt so committed and in love — it was perfect.
He felt so happy to see her around, she felt so happy to see him around. A day without seeing each other felt like a year without rain to them. In such cases, Bongbong would always call her to talk and ask her about her day. They did what lovers do and it was perfectly perfect.
Natalia noticed how Bongbong and Leni interacts with each other and it lead her to a conclusion about the real score between them.
"Ate, boyfriend mo na ba siya? Kayo na?!" She teased Leni as they watched the television on a Sunday night. "Mmm.... Oo yata?" She giggled. "Yata? Ano ba yan, ate. Bakit di pa sure? Nagkikiss na ba kayo?" She asked. "Natalia! Ikaw ha!" Leni blushed. "Bakit, nagkikiss na ba kayo? Kinikiss ka ba niya?" She asked blushing over them.
"Mmm... Oo." She blushed as she confessed.
"Eh di kayo na nga!" Natalia concluded. "Oo na sige na, boyfriend ko na nga siya, masaya ka na?" She spilled.
"Yiee! Ang cute niyo! Bagay talaga kayo ate!!" Natalia squealed while Leni blushed with her reaction. She suddenly received a message from Bongbong.
Good night, mahal. Sweet dreams.
Natalia peeked and squealed. "Uy! Ang cute niyo, kaiyak!!"
Good night din mahal! Sleep tight. Ily! Lelz 😜😘
Leni closed her inbox. "Uy ate sino yan!" Natalia sounded so excited as she had a peek of her phone's wallpaper. Leni hid her phone on her chest. "Wala!!" She squealed.
"Patingin!" Natalia nagged and stole her phone from her.
"Ooooh!!!!!!! Feels! Feels everywhere ate!" She squealed as she saw Leni's wallpaper. It was her photo with Bongbong.
"Ate grabe kayo, ang cute niyo?!" She turned red and took her phone back. "Pakasal na kayo!" Nat teased. "Kasal agad?! Excited 'to pero darating rin tayo doon!" She blushed and looked at her wallpaper.
He makes me happy. Natalia loves him. He loves Natalia. He calls me mahal. I love him. I love him so much.
She came into the office with a big smile upon seeing him. She laid a box of cupcakes for him.
"Binake ko yan." She stated. "Buksan mo." She requested. He smiled and opened the box
Mickey mouse cupcakes!
"Okay? Okay!" He chuckled. "Mga cupcake ko." He laughed. "Oo!" She replied. "Halika nga dito!" He called and kissed her cheeks.
"Thank you mahal, ang sweet mo naman." He spoked and hugged her tightly. Her necklace sprung out of her shirt.
He was surprised that up to now she was still wearing the necklace he gave her after he recovered from his appendicitis.
"Wow. Nasayo parin pala yan." He stated. "Oo naman, lagi ko kaya 'tong suot kaya kang tinatago ko sa loob ng tshirt ko kase baka maisnatch saakin, alam mo na." She informed him making him feel so appreciated. "Napakasweet mo naman. May mas tatamis pa ba sayo? Joke!" He teased and smiled at her. He grabbed her hand and kissed it making her blush. "Hmm! Ewan sayo." She giggled.
They went like this for over a month. Their worlds revolved around each other, they made each other happy. They were so contented in each other's arms.
It was inevitable for Bongbong's sister, Imee, not to notice his closeness to Leni. She liked her for him at the first place and because of Leni, imee and Bongbong started to be close to each other.
"Leni has been a good influence on you... Muka namang masaya ka sakanya." Imee shared as she drank some wine with Bongbong at the pool side. "I am." He replied happily. "I've never seen you this attached to any woman. Nakakapanibago ha?"
"Sobra. Napakauniqe niya kase e. So beautiful. Para bang araw araw may surprise siya... She makes me happy by just being there. I don't know. Masaya akong nandiyan siya." He chuckled while sharing.
"She loves her little sister so much. Natalia yung pangalan nung kapatid niya. Then remember, I've been donating to this school way back before and there was this brilliant student na sobrang kamuka ni Leni. It was Natalia. I didn't know they were sisters until like a month ago. Sobrang coincidence diba?!" He shared.
Imee felt the sincerity in his voice. She knew how much Leni meant to him and it's beautiful.
Leni barged into Bongbong's office to be able to talk to Natalia over the phone as Gina was outside. She didn't want her to see her talking to someone over the phone looking like she's abandoning her work.
"Nat. Di ako pwede tumawag ng matagal. Mga six pa ako makakauwi, kumain ka na ba?" She talked to her while Bongbong quietly listened to them.
"Okay. Okay. Nasa ref yung ulam, i-microwave mo nalang ha? Matulog ka ngayong hapon para makapagpahinga ka narin."
"Okay. Sige. Love you." She dropped the line. She looked at Bongbong, he was smiling at her.
"Bakit?" She asked as she noticed him staring at her. "Wala, ang cute mo lang kapag nagpapaka-ate ka kay Natalia." He stood up and paced towards her hugging her from behind while his chin rested on her shoulder.
"Mmm... Anong gusto mo?" She giggled. "Wala naman, gusto ko lang lambingin ang mahal ko." He kissed her cheek and hugged her tighter.
"Ang swerte ko lang may mahal akong mabait na nga, sexy... Hot.... At obsessed saakin" He joked.
"Wow? Okay, obsessed ako sa'yo? Self proclaimed yan ha?" She chuckled and turned to him. He held her waist and pressed her pelvis against him.
"Bakit hindi ba? Hind ba ako attractive and hot sa'yo?" He winked at her seductively making her giggle. "Wag ka ngang ganyan!" She squealed. "Bakit ang hot ko ba?" He boosted his ego.
"Okay? Ang hangin ha? Liliparin na yata ako dito." She joked. As her laughs faded, they gazed at each other with a sincere smiles on their lips.
"But honestly... Leni. You're the most beautiful woman my eyes ever laid upon on." He confessed making her feel so touched. Her cheeks turned pink. He slowly moved closer to her and aimed to kissed her when Imee barged in interrupting their sweet moment.
"Oh my God! I'm so sorry!" She apologized in surprise. Bongbong and Leni remained steady with their bodies pressed on each other and arms around each other.
"Katok katok rin kase minsan, ate." He stated as she closed the door. "Sorry!" She replied and walked away.
They looked at each other and chuckled. "Ang bait ng ate mo noh?" Leni brought up. "Alam mo bang gustong gusto ka niya? Botong boto yan saatin e." He shared. "Hala! Totoo ba? Nakakatuwa naman, love ko na ate mo. Naoverwhelm naman ako." She replied.
"Don't be. At least hindi tayo magiging Romeo and Juliet di ba?" He joked. He stroked her hair covering her face and fascinatingly gazed on her.
"I could stare at you all day and still consider my day productive, alam mo ba yon?" He exalted. "And I could stay in your arms like this forever." She replied making him smile.
He never felt that contented in his life. He felt like there's nothing more to ask for. He never felt the hunger for other women anymore since he had her. It felt so new to him yet, it felt so right. He didn't know what it exactly was but he was sure that he wants her in his life and he is better with her around than nothing.
Her presence just gave him a reason to continue. With just her presence, he no longer needed any other reasons not to wake up in the morning and look forward to so many possibilities. She changed his perspective in life a lot and it was so damn good.
Having her in his life that way was never on his plan, but then when she came, his world turned upside down. A lot of doors opened for him.
For him, she was someone he never expected to come but he was extremely thankful for being able to have her in his life. If there's anything he can undo about what they have now, he won't be changing a thing.
For over a month, the my couldn't explain how attached they have become and they regret nothing about it. It seemed like a big step to them but they liked it.
Leni even began to think about her future with him. When they settle together, celebrate their anniversaries, when he proposes to her, when she says yes and when they get married. Where it will be held, what would it theme be. What will be their first child's name if it's a boy and if it's a girl. How cute would it be to have twins.
She felt so excited and thrilled. All she could ever think of now is spending the rest of her life with him and it is so sentimental.

Hit n Run [BONGLENI]
VII. Flashes (Explicit)
"Uy Leni. Natransfer ka daw sa strategic marketing department effective today." Denise informed her as soon as she arrived to log in. She paused for a moment to let it sink in.
Strategic Marketing department? Kay Bongbong?!
"Wait ano? Bakit?" She panicked. Denise shrugged. Leni had no choice but to follow. Some personnel from their department helped her transfer her necessities to building A.
She hated to be transferred. She hated to be away from Rody and to be closer to Bongbong's scope. She predicted how Bongbong could play with her as she goes under his hands.
Napakamalas ko naman. Bakit ba ako napaparusahan ng ganito?
Leni did her best to adapt and adjust with her new department.
Martin called Bongbong over his office informing him about his plan on doing an informal meeting at Bongbong's place to discuss about some projects. Bongbong gladly accepted his suggestion.
"So yeah. Around 7pm at your place tomorrow night..." Martin summarized.
"Yeah. Right right-"
"Baka pwede nating isama si Leni." Martin brought up slightly taking Bongbong's alertness.
"Si Leni?" Bongbong repeated. "Oo. Isn't she your executive secretary now? I'll be bringing Kate." Martin acted like it's no big deal, Bongbong remained silent trying to evaluate the situation.
"Come on, Bongets. What's so wrong?" Martin chuckled. "Unless takot kang dalhin si Leni-"
"No! It's fine. Bakit naman ako matatakot?" Bongbong denied to boost his ego.
"Yun o! Bukas nalang ha?" Martin concluded and walked away.
Bongbong called Leni to inform her about the plan. She had a second thought as she felt uncomfortable going to Bongbong's place.
"Don't worry. Pupunta rin si Martin at Kate." He brought up to ease her. She finally agreed.
At least Mr. Romualdez and his secretary will come. It won't be awkward.
Leni arrived at Bongbong's place the next day a few minutes late than the call time. She didn't want to have a solo time with Bongbong but it seems like it was inevitable.
She entered his house and saw him sitting in front of his computer desk, Mr. Romualdez and his secretary were nowhere to be found.
"Have a seat." Bongbong pointed at the couch in his room as he saw her.
"Sabi nila male-late daw sila ng konti." He informed and stood up handing a folder to her. "Pwede na tayo magsimula para hindi sayang ang oras." He told her coldly. She browsed the folder and they started to work on the project. She assisted him as he reviewed and edited the document in his laptop.
It's been about two hours but Martin and Kate are still not around. Bongbong dialed his number in his phone and complained.
"Nasan na ba kayo? Matatapos ko na tong buong project wala parin kayo dito!" He yelled and placed it on loudspeaker as he continued typing in his laptop.
"Sorry, Bongets. Di na kami makakapunta!" Martin apologized. Leni paused for a moment as she overheard their conversation.
"Ha? Pinaghintay hintay mo ako tapos di ka pupunta? Gagùhan naman o!" He swore. Martin chuckled. "Relax! Nandiyan naman si Leni para tulungan ka... O mauna na ako, bukas nalang!" Martin dropped the line.
Enjoy your date with her. ;) —Martin
"Gagò." Bongbong loudly swore stunning Leni a bit. Bongbong just realized that Martin set them up. They had no choice but to continue working together to finish the project on time.
Few moments later, Bongbong had to use the comfort room before he finally finish the revision of the project. "Tapos nito pwede ka na umuwi." He informed her before he went to the bathroom leaving her alone in the room.
She got her eyes wandering across the room from her seat.
The bed. The floor. The bathroom.
She could still recall them from the one night stand she had with him long time ago. She had a short moment of rethinking and it she couldn't explain how it somehow titillated her.
Masakit, sobrang shít pero bakit parang... gusto ko maramdaman ulit?
She started to tremble in coldness.
Ano ba yang naiisip ko! Erase. Erase.
She scolded herself quietly while waiting for him to come out. Bongbong washed his hands and face. He looked at his own reflection in the mirror.
Bakit ba napapatingin ako sakanya? Di siya pwede makahalata na gusto ko siya. Teka, hindi. Hindi ko siya gusto. What the hell is wrong with me?
His thoughts cluttered inside his head.
But she's so beautiful. Her skin. Her body. Her eyes. Her hands. Tàngina, di pwede. Nope.
Bongbong went out of the comfort room and changed his clothes into a white tank top and grey jogging pants. Leni stood up.
"Sige na mauna ka na, kaya ko na tapusin yan." He informed her, she nodded. "Okay po."
"I-uwi mo nalang yung box ng cookies na yon." He pointed at the side table. She dangled her messenger bag and took her jacket hanging on the desk chair.
He watched her wear her jacket on, he just couldn't help but drool over her smooth skin rubbing against the soft fabric of her cardigan.
She walked towards the side table but had a hard time finding the box of cookies. "Saan po sir..." Upon turning back, she was surprised that he was standing right in front of her — she gasped as they gazed at each other.
"Uuuh." She gulped. His face with a smirk moved closer. She slowly became breathless. Her groin started to feel the heat raging. The sexual tension was too strong.
He stopped moving as their lips were exactly an inch away from each other. "Here." He was actually exploring the side table's drawer to find the box of cookies for her but he felt the nerves of her as he went closer.
He kept his distance and showed her the cookies. "Ay. Di ko po nakita." She falsified her chuckles to conceal her awkwardness. She moved her hand up and grabbed the box but before she did, he moved his hands away.
"Not so fast." He teased. She looked at him in the eye, still conscious of their extreme closeness. He could hear her breaths, he could clearly see her smooth skin. Her lips were moist and pink, it was so tender and kissable.
She remained silent as they looked at each other. The sexual tension was strong. They found each other extremely attractive that very moment for no apparent reason. Both we're yearning.
She waited for his next moves, ready to take whatever he plans to do. He handed her the box of cookies.
Ugh!
She complained in her head as she took the box of cookies from him.
He's not gonna do it.
Papayag kaya siya? Ayoko mareject...
He doubted for a second but as soon as she animated her head, he lost control. He grabbed her jaws and kissed her. She immediately withdrew from the kiss.
Tàngina, ayaw niya. Wrong move!
Her eyes were enlarged in surprise as she looked at him. He lost motivation to continue as he felt that they weren't on the same pace.
"Sorry, just leave-"
"Hindi..."
She abruptly took his hands and placed it on her waists as she kissed him. He felt glad that he was wrong. She had the same thoughts. They were both on fire. He kissed her harder and she willingly reciprocated.
His hands squirmed around her hips and entered beneath her shirt, rubbing and feeling her bare skin. Her flat stomach, her fine arcs over his palms as they exchanged steamy kisses left him breathless.
"God, Leni. Ang hot mo talaga." He swore and lifted her thighs — she gasped — bringing her down to the bed.
"I..."
"...Never..."
"...thought..."
"Psshh." She stopped him from talking and rolled over turning him down to the bed and going on top of him — he was thrilled.
She sat and straddled on his pelvis and took his top off following it by swarming his bare trunk with some gentle kisses.
He could clearly feel her soft lips gently pressing itself on his trunk. He could feel her warm skin rubbing against his.
She suddenly stopped and straightened her trunk. She removed her shirt on revealing to him her fine bust pushed up by her black bra, he was breathless and extremely aroused.
His eyes feasted on her perfect figure, her firm chest animated by her heavy breathing, and her beautiful face.
Ang swerte ko.
He grabbed her face and showered her with his yearning kisses that she returned. His hands traveled from her hips up to her ribs. He never expected he would get laid that night, what's more surprising is it's with Leni that he is getting down with. He likes unexpected sèx.
This fine lady.
He felt so thrilled as it sank to him who was straddling on top of him, who was kissing his body — it was Leni Robredo.
They continued exchanging torrid and hungry kisses. His hands moved higher down to the bottom of her breasts, she held back and looked at him surprised.
"What?" He asked with a deep voice. She gulped and held her forehead.
"Oh my god..." She sounded so sorry. "Ano bang ginagawa ko?" She got herself off him and took her shirt.
"What?!" He seemed so alarm. "I'm sorry. I should go..." She felt an abrupt remorse. "What? No... Wait." He tried to stop her but she hastened even more. She got her shirt on and picked up her things so ready to leave.
"Aalis ka nalang?!" Bongbong asked sounding so displeased. "Sorry!"
"Leni we can-"
She shut the door close next to her and left. "Ugh!" Bongbong uttered, he felt so annoyed as he was left hanging.
He sprawled himself at the bed and sighed. He was so annoyed but as he recalled that short moment he had with Leni, it just relieved him. It made him feel good.
Early in the morning, Leni wished she won't see Bongbong. It was early when she arrived in the office, they didn't see each other. She knew he had a meeting at ten until twelve, it was another escape for them to cross paths.
Lucky is to lucky but avoiding each other seemed inevitable for two colleagues. Leni bumped into Bongbong as he went out of the meeting room. She seemed stoned upon seeing him.
"At my office. Now." He commanded her with a stern voice. Her chest pounded as she nodded. He went to Martin's office first making Leni go to his office before him.
He entered his office and sat comfortably at his seat. He discussed common business related things with her and allowed her to leave. She had an exhale of relief.
"Leni." He called her again ceasing her relief. She took a deep breath before turning back at him.
Please don't bring up what happened last night. Please don't bring up what happened last night. Please don't bring up what happened last night.
She pleaded on her head. "Pumunta ka saakin bago ka umuwi mamaya. I have something to tell you." He teased making her feel extremely curious the whole day. "Okay po, sir." She replied politely.
Leni complied with what Bongbong said. She went to his office before she goes home but he wasn't there. She waited for a couple of minutes until Martin told her that Bongbong already went home.
"Thank you sir Martin."
"Bakit? May date ba kayo?" He teased. "Ho?!" She exclaimed. "I mean... Hindi po. Sabi niya po kase pumunta ako sakanya after work kase may ipapagawa daw po siya saakin... Professionally. I mean... Business related." She explained. "Oooh. Interesting. Well. Umuwi na siya e pero sasabihin ko nalang sakanya na hinintay mo siya."
"By the way. He told me to give you this." He handed a box of cookies to her and winked before he walked away.
